Azriel x Eris Fluff

word count: 750

Summary: Azriel rescued a small kitten and Eris folded embarrassingly quick. How could he say no to the ember that makes his mate so giddy?

The sun had barely crested the horizon when Eris stirred awake. Shadows holding onto night

The soft rustle of paperwork his only companion in the early morning quiet.

His quill danced nimbly across the parchment, leaving a trail of ink in its wake. His eyes, a piercing shade of amber, remained focused on the task at hand, despite the yawn that threatened to split his mouth. His desk was littered with scrolls and books.

The door to his study swung open without so much as a whisper, and a small black kitten darted inside, her fur glossy and eyes gleaming with mischief.

She skidded to a halt on the polished floor, its tail swishing as it took in the sight of Eris hard at work.

With a playful leap, she landed on the edge of the desk, knocking a few scrolls to the floor with a soft thump. Eris didn't look up, his hand moving to gently stroke the kitten's head as it purred contentedly against his palm.

"Ember," he chuckled, his voice a warm rumble that seemed to fill the room, "you know I'm busy."

But the kitten was insistent.

She pawed at his quill, her claws glinting in the early light. Eris sighed, setting the quill down with exaggerated care. Before he could resume his work, she had it in her mouth, chewing playfully. He watched with amusement as she chomped down, the feathered end fluttering with every bite.

It was a scene he had witnessed countless times before, and it never failed to bring a smile to his lips.

"Alright, alright," he said, standing up and stretching. "I suppose I can spare a few moments for you."

He picked up the kitten, cradling her in his arms as she purred even louder, her claws retracting in contentment. He walked over to the large bay window overlooking the gardens, the sun casting a warm glow across the room. The kitten squirmed in his arms, eager to explore the sill laden with potted plants.

"Careful," he warned gently, setting her down. "Those are not for you to dig in."

Ember's ears perked up at the sound of his voice, and she peered at the plants with renewed interest. Her curiosity was insatiable, much like the love that blossomed between Eris and Azriel.

The kitten began to pounce at the leaves of a nearby plant, her movements swift and graceful despite her size. Eris chuckled, watching her play.

The sound of footsteps approached from the corridor, and the door to the study creaked open.

In the frame stood Azriel, his hair a wild mess of midnight waves, a steaming cup of coffee in hand. The scent of roasted beans filled the room, mingling with the faint smell of ink and parchment. He offered a sleepy smile, his eyes crinkling at the sight of Eris and Ember.

"Couldn't resist her charm, could you?" Azriel teased, crossing the room to join them.

He leaned over to kiss Eris's cheek, his breath warm against the other male's cool skin. Eris felt the warmth of Azriel's affection seep into his very soul.

The kitten looked up at the new arrival, her eyes lighting up.

With a bound, she leaped from the windowsill to the floor, her tiny legs carrying her swiftly across the room. She stopped just short of Azriel, her tail flicking in anticipation.

Then, she pounced. But not at the warrior's bare feet. Instead, she targeted the shadows that danced across the floorboards from the light streaming through the window. The shadows rippled and shimmered as if alive, and Ember's eyes grew wide with delight.

"She's quite the little hunter," Azriel said, setting the coffee down on the desk with a soft thump.

He bent down to scoop the kitten into his arms, holding her aloft like a trophy. Ember's purrs grew even more fervent as she batted at the shadows playing across her new perch.

Eris couldn't help but laugh at the sight, the corners of his eyes crinkling with joy.

"I swear she thinks she's a full-grown cat already," he said, taking the warm mug from the desk and bringing it to his lips.

The bitter taste of the coffee washed away the last remnants of sleep, leaving him feeling revitalized.

The sound of their laughter filled the study.

Azriel's eyes met Eris's, a shared look of love and amusement passing between them. It was moments like these that made the weight of their responsibilities seem a little lighter.

I would love to sic "death to child abusers" Nami (from One Piece) on Overhaul (from My Hero Academia). Idk, I feel like she could kick his butt. I feel like she could and would end him. I feel like nothing in the bnha canon implies that Overhaul getting struck with lightning 17 times WOULDN'T kill him. Sure, if he touches her she's done for, but he's gotta touch her first. My queen has been perfecting the art of running away for 1000 chapters. She's a thief, she's stealthy. Chisaki Kai wouldn't know what hit him until he was dead and Eri was safely in Nami's arms. My queen does not consider herself too honorable for sneak attacks. Chisaki's so dead as soon as she finds out what he's doing to Eri.

Chapter 6 - Update (in honor of Eris Week)

Summary: When Elain is unexpectedly transformed into a cat, Lucien thankfully comes to her rescue. Well, she would be more grateful, if he also wasn't so incredibly infuriating.
