To differentiate herself from twin sister Misa Inamori, she wears her hair in pigtails to avoid confusion. In this state, Mayu is still an individual - the same girl she has always been. Hope for the family she seeks is still present, even after six months with no answers. Mayu wears this because she believes in the reconciliation of her family; that she can still remain as her special piece of their household.

FIRST OF ALL that's not actually how the title translates but, fair enough, it wouldn't sound catchy otherwise. Now, Japanese-degree-holder ranting aside, this is one of the strangest dramas I've watched yet - or, I suppose, the strangest set-up for one yet. Apparently it was a manga and an anime before this, and there I can see it working, because there's already that extra layer of unrealism that comes with even the most artistic graphic novels, but live-action is just...bizarre. And, if I'm honest, a little creepy. There's just something I find a little uncomfortable about living with a person who's been shrunk to the size of a Troll doll, and watching people you're not dating sleep always feels a little creepily voyeuristic. In addition to that, the CGI or green screen, whichever was used, is really bad. Like, awful, and super obvious. Towards the middle of the season it starts to get a little more charming, I guess, but I dunno. It still feels very uncomfortable to me.

NIGHT HEAD 2041 TV Anime Gets Stage Play in Japan in July

  NIGHT HEAD 2014, a 2021 TV anime based on the 1992 TV drama about a pair of psychically-gifted brothers fleeing persecution in a dystopic near-future world, is being adapted into a stage play that will run in Tokyo in July of 2022. The main staff for NIGHT HEAD 2041-THE STAGE has been revealed, including:
