I love villain characters who are in the moral wrong, but you still have to respect them a little whether it be for their determination, intentions, origin, organization, intelligence, or just plain nerve. Like, "Damn, you are evil and should not be allowed to do this, but you are so excellent at it. I am in awe and horror in equal part."

look guys i know (i KNOW) that erida and taristan are evil. like i get it. they’re the colonizing villains of the narrative. HOWEVER (that being said) i actually am so invested in their romance ok

decided to go with espeon!erida for the oc-to-oc and how she would interact with eliana. honestly, she won't show it at first, but she will very evidently show some confusion as to how eliana managed to make peace with dusknoir, mainly as to how she knew he truly means well now and. well. she refuses to get near the one in her own timeline even after he had a change of heart so she might ask the grass-type for help and how to deal and reconcile with.. that.

Esperida!!! You poor dear!

Eliana, similar to how she reacts to Dusknoir!Erida, would definitely be able to tell that Esperida has a lot going on under her seemingly placid surface. Eliana would be the first to tell her that she never expected to make peace with Dusk, either, and it took effort on both of their parts to move past their animosity and remorse to start over. Eliana wasn't sure about him being sincere for a long time, but through his persistence and patience with her aggression, he proved time and again that he no longer meant any harm. Eliana would definitely tell her that she couldn't exactly tell Esperida what to do about her Dusknoir, since their situations are inherently different but she would advise her to be patient, exercise caution and compassion in equal measure, and to trust her gut more than anything else. If Esperida's Dusknoir wants to reconcile, he should put in the effort to show how he's changed.
