for sketches i use this one from ericanthonyj's real pencils

for line this one, but i don't remember where i downloaded it from and set up the original brush from the pack a little myself

for coloring "medium hard blend" from default "airbrushing" folder, but with my settings:)

for my most favorite part of rendering, i use these two from penpadstudio

ALSO do you happen to have any tips on drawing eyes and/or facial features in general ?

Aah thanks!!! They’re my favorite characters to draw and I’m glad you guys like them! ^^

I do have tips that helped me get better with facial features but nothing that I came up with myself. I’ll try to sum up some of it with my own words, but I’ll link some resources from other artists as well :)

I usually find references on Pinterest and I’ll be using this one to help explain things. 

I think a good thing to start with is to train your brain/eyes to transform what you see in a picture into simple shapes and 3D forms. Basically when I see this picture, in my brain I see this:

(super messy but hopefully you see what I mean ^^")

There are so many super detailed tutorials from other artists explaining how to transform what you see into simple shapes, as well as understanding the planes of the face waaay better than me so I suggest making a little research about it. I learned a lot from  Sinix Design,  Bobbo Andonova and  Angel Ganev ‘s tutorials on YouTube but there are many more so be sure to look into it yourself to find explanations that suit you better.

I like to use real pictures as my references, but I also look at other artists' art to see how they make those shapes work for them, and every artist has a different way of stylizing them so I suggest finding artists that you like and study their art.

I personally like art styles that are semi realistic with some very structured shapes in them.  In no particular order, artists that I like to study facial features from are: mzmrart, dotswappu, dyinglikeicarus13,  kandaem, valentinaremenar,  jidaart, silvrets, ericanthonyj, ..and many more! :)

Actually talking about this made me want to share my own process with faces so I’m currently trying to make some kind of tutorial for it and will probably post it somewhere around this week ^^
