OH also if you plan to torrent manga i would really, really highly recommend you download an app that can read cbz or cbr formats bc you can get extremely clean files that function exactly like a commercial (electronic) book. i personally use simple comic for desktop and chunky for ipad — chunky is great because it’ll sync directly to the cloud so you don’t have to worry very much about transferring files. they both do left -> right and right <- left.

The Evolution Of A Wolfstar Girlie
(with my fic recommendations)me aged 10-23: there will never be a book I like more than Harry Potter. I love books and read all the time but Harry Potter is above anything. Reread HP everytime I am feeling down.
me aged 24-30: I lost the ability to read for pleasure. Just read to my kids and A LOT for work.
me at 31: *after a random tiktok video* Sirius and Remus were TOGETHER together?! Never even crossed my mind!!!
But... I get it.
But like... JKR didn't write it. Fanfic is just amateurs writing, right? I have enough of reading as is, I have to read for my job (I'm a translator).
But... They promised it's a HP experience. And I do have an eReader... It costs nothing to try it.
But... What the hell is ao3? What is smut??? Fluff??? HEA? MCD??? Cannon?? AU? Excuse me, is this English?!
The following then happend over 2 months time:
📖 Reading All the Young Dudes
OK, this is really very much like HP. I am getting hooked. This is ACTUALLY what happend, right? Like this is amazingly written. How is this not a real book? (What IS a real book and how do I not know this being a book translator?!) Are Sirius and Remus getting together in this one?
Oh my!
Actually, I've not been this obsessed with a book in like 10+ years.
Reading all through the night (with three kids, mind you, so a very stupid idea)
🎶Love this music!!! Have always loved rock, Queen, Beatles, Bowie, led Zeppelin… You name it. But this makes it better!!!
Finishing ATYD: OMG! OMG! I AM OBSESSED. They need to be together forever. I need to re-read it.
A SEX SCENE in Harry Potter?! EXCUSE YOU! Like… Didn't know I needed that. Thank you.
Of course they had teenage sex at that school. Yes to a giant snake killing people with its sight and no to some friendly petting? Yeah, sure, JKR! Be for real! Never thought about it like that before. And of course they had parties. And smoked (weed) and did drugs. Like… It's a boarding school for heaven's sake! this is much more realistic. Finally know what smut is and I am here for it.
I want a cigarette SO BAD right now (haven't smoked for YEARS)
googling specifics of gay sex because I never thought about it (and I live in a very conservative country) (and like I had QUESTIONS, excuse you, like can you just do butt stuff without prep?!)
finding 📖 explicit one-shots from ATYD
📖 Reading ATYD sirius's POV:
This is ALSO good. So... fanfics on the internet can just... be amazing, right? How has this existed for years and I did not know about it?? Sirius is obsessed LOL. He fell first and he fell harder, the poor boy.
My husband is SO MUCH like Remus. (personality-wise). Guess I know my type, lol.
These fanfics are written better than majority of books I've read. I'm utterly amazed.
📖 Reading Out of the Blue and Bootleg Tapes:
OK, I needed some healing. Happy for Grant and all. But I need wolfstar more.
📖 We could be heroes (finding out what a "fix-it fic" is)
Yes! Wolfstar endgame! A happy ending! Yes!!
Intrusive thoughts: Is ATYD wolfstar like… toxic?
Are they ever happy?
Don't go there, brain!!
Trying to heal with 📖Manacled, then DMATMOOBIL.
Like Dramione. But wolfstar is far superior.
Also have to note that Draco is amazing in bed.
Not a sentence I've ever thought I utter or think. Ever.
Finding 📖 Cadence Of Part-time Poets
sceptical.
How can muggle AU be good? Don't I like all this because of the magic?
Reading it, re-reading it.
Buying an e-cigarette (cause I have to DEAL ffuck's sake and they smoke in like every second scene and ecigarrete is the least of all evil)
Obsessing.
Cannot get enough.
Best. Thing. Ever. Written.
Somehow more magic than magic U.
DOES REGULUS LIKE JAMES?
Seeing the possibilities of Jegulus (is everyone gay in the end? Excuse me, Am I GAY at this point ?)
THE MUSIC OMG THE MUSIC IS MUSICING!!! I am in love with the music! How are Marauders not a band in cannon?! Like that's obviously what they were always supposed to be! Lottie, Simon, Tonya, Tomny… They ARE cannon for me lol. They were there and you cannot convince me otherwise.
Cannot read more, afraid I will lose this Cadence feeling. Just re-reading the best scenes over and over. Stalking motswolo's tumblr. Consuming all there is about Cadence out there. Trying to talk to people about it but noone reads fanfics here!
Can we like start a gofund me for them to get therapy??? I want to see them diagnosed, aware of their traumas and forever together.
Also, why is Remadora a thing? Thank god it wasn't in Cadence (yet) but sometimes i remember it exists and like… vomit internally. Gosh, I rly hate JKR. She just did it to discourage Wolfstar.
getting to read 📖 Black Mass Over Highway 90:
Very sceptical at first.
It's American… and Marauders are essentially English. Remus somewhere in Texas… of all places? Afraid this won't be my cup of tea... Cowboy Remus?! wtf
OMG.
OMG.
This scene basically porn… right? Why do I LOVE THIS?!
Remus is DADDY! Officer Moons!!! He can get it. Like omg. Cowboy Lupin FTW!!
THIS IS the SMUT, RIGHT?! Like do I even want to watch porn at this point? How am I - a cis female in a hetero relationship of 14 years with 3 kids - finding this SO HOT?!
📖 Reading Blends
Also very sceptical.
But... it's so sweet! Is this fluff? Am I discovering fluffy fics? Now, this is comfort reading! Coffe-shop AU? Like, this is where I want to die, my friends! This is so sweet, so incredibly sweet, and I DO NOT miss Voldy and his stupid war one bit, like to hell with him, he can order an Americano and Remus will decaf him at this point!
I am in LOVE!
📖 Reading Names (Blends sequel) because can you do anything else at this point?
Now this is... a whole other thing. It is fluffy, yes. But it goes deeper. And... wider somehow?
It's the first WIP I give a chance.
Cluster headaches are an AMAZING parallel to lycantrophy.
HOW exactly are people this talented just out there publishing fanfics?!
And this "slice of life" thing IS doing it for me. Like really.
📖 Reading Crimson Rivers
Is there anything else besides angst in this?
Wait, James likes... Regulus?!
discovering Jegulus -
wow. I am utterly amazed... cannot put this down at any point of the day. Reading while breastfeeding, reading all through the night. Reading all through the day. Learning how to read and braid my hair at the same time.
I keep thinking - why DO I love gay man/boys stories? How did it come to this? How is this FREE? How do I GIVE BACK to these AMAZING authors that are just doing incredible things for me? Like this is everything I've ever wanted from a book... and they're not even getting paid for this?!
📖 Reading a bunch of short fics inbetween (honorable mentions: Like Real People Do, That's the Art of Getting by, Led by Light of a Star Sweetly Gleaming, Pages of You - discovering Drarry, thinking Drarry is less angst because there's less homophobia in the 90s,
📖 Reading Only the Brave
OK, it's Jegulus, let's give it a chance...
OMG
OMG
OMG
I feel like ever since getting into this fandom, I'm just falling and falling and falling. Falling... In love.
This is so good, you guys. I love JEGULUS!
But as long as WOLFSTAR are together, I can deal (took them half a fic to get together, so please don't do anything stupid!)
I. CANNOT. STOP. READING. WOLFSTAR.
In every universe.
Wolfstar & fanfic taught me not to have any prejudice. And I also discovered that I was quite prejudiced without being aware of it!
I can read anything with those two... just don't break my heart and just let them be together.
Wolfstar made me read again and actually enjoy it. It's been several thousands of pages in a couple of months and I don't regret the lack of sleep…
They are soulmates. In every universe. I don't know what this fetish is called but I need them to be together, see them together, read them together. Love them both. Just need them to be happy.
I am completely amazed at the sheer power the internet has, that an online community has. This is my new obsession and I am utterly devoted to it. It taught me and gave me SO MUCH. I will forever be learning how to give anything back.
Thank you.

Meanwhile a fantasy author I've enjoyed: yeah, Isabel Cooper's The Nightborn, finished last night, was fantastic both as fantasy and as romance. Honestly, if your complaint about romantic fantasy is "the romance keeps derailing the fantasy stuff I'm interested in," I'd say give this a shot? The fantasy plotline doesn't feel compromised, the worldbuilding is interesting, the monsters and magic are very vivid.
-And this makes me enjoy the romance plotline more, even. Nightborn seems to have done something that I'm glad to see someone do and at the same time kinda envious I didn't do first (I need to write more book-length work, obviously). Avert yer gaze for spoilers to the end of this paragraph, but: I don't think the hero and heroine actually say "I love you" in this one? And now I'm not even sure the couple in the prior book said it either (though the hero and his late/ex partner talk about loving each other with the message "there are all different kinds of love", now I need a hankie). Instead they demonstrate they care about each other in a whole bunch of other ways and say other things, including a swoony romantic "I have to die someday and you're a great person to die beside" (not an exact quote because my ereader isn't loaded at the moment, but close).
-Worldbuilding-wise, this is a 'queernorm' setting that I liked and believed in! Notable things: use of singular 'they' pronouns both for nonbinary characters and, at least on the heroine's side, for children whose gender she doesn't know. The heroine doesn't seem to pursue women romantically (she does have a nonbinary lover in her backstory) but at a ball she dances with another woman. Not as a romantic pairing but because it's a ball, you dance with your fellow attendees! (Also the other woman is a general and somewhat plot-relevant, but it's not some sort of manipulative attempt to get close to her--they're dancing to be friendly and because it's a ball.) I feel like I've seen a lot of ballroom dancing scenes by authors with feminist and queernorm cred, but this might be one of the first times I've seen one with true gender-neutral dance pairings?
-My "Cooper's characters might actually be too decent and calm and correct all the time; a dash more interpersonal drama could be realistic and interesting" qualm is somewhat present but not hampering my enjoyment. Because I don't want every book I read to be about smart, competent, kind people who I'd like to hang out with in real life--but I do want to read books like that occasionally, and this one met that need! The hero does do one consent-check before a sex scene that I think was actually inappropriate (frankly, it seemed to raise concerns the reader didn't have and the story doesn't follow up on)--even as it's a consent check I've had said almost word-for-word to me in real life and appreciated (my circumstances were different!). But it's not a bad flaw to have, and there might well have been a characterization point being made that I didn't quite grasp (that is, the point possibly was intentional that the hero was being a bit too conscientious when the heroine is actively jumping his bones). There was another point I really liked when this poor, darling, much-cockblocked man was like "Wait, you're stopping mid-sex. Is something wrong? If you need to stop I completely understand--oh we're being attacked by monsters." I like to think my thought process in the situation would be similar.
-Cooper is great at giving characters realistic thought processes. I had a small giggle around the second chapter where the hero and heroine take a few steps arm in arm, then have to stop and untwine their arms at the cloak check. Not awkward enough to induce embarrassment, but plenty relatable.
-There IS a leavening amount of snark, sarcasm, and wry humor (none of it smarmy) that keeps things from being saccharine. What sweetness there is feels earned and is often either there to up the stakes so you feel worse when characters are in peril (not a specific spoiler but an indication of the series' tone: not all make it!), or is there as a soothing balm after someone's gone through the wringer. And here's also where I feel the fantasy is as prominent as the romance: certain strands of romance would pull punches in a way fantasy writers wouldn't, and Cooper doesn't pull the punches. There's some gore in here and the fantasy demons are genuinely horrific. Which also avoids my *other* concern when genre writers use humor: the humor feels realistic, sometimes used as a coping mechanism for stress; it doesn't undermine the stakes of the story or break the mood or verisimilitude.
-In my earlier post, I praised how the hero of Nightborn rarely wears sleeves and Cooper frequently comments on this fact for the better delectation of the reader. There's a scene toward the end where he's ripping his sleeves off to use as bandages and the text pauses to comment on this fact in a way I can only take as a wink in my direction. I have rarely felt so loved and nourished as a reader.
All this said, neither my library system nor Hoopla have the last book in the trilogy so I'm probably going to buy it (happy to support her, but books I buy tend to drop down under my library-based reading lists). Most of all because I want to know how the ominous apocalyptic fantasy plotline is resolved! The central romance in that one features a Paladin-type, and frankly I'm interested to see how "author I like who writes characters who are on the borderline of too decent" writes "character archetype known for being boringly decent." I think she's going to pull it off!

Cape and Capability - A Review
So a week-ish ago a reblog from fellow author @beedok came across my dash for a collection of fiction that was 100% trans-centric. Given how much of my own writing is unabashedly about the trans experience, I took a look and, to absolutely nobody's surprise, there were a couple titles in the bundle that I was already marking for purchase at a later date, so since the bundle came along I went ahead and pulled the trigger for it.
Thanks to itch.io's very end-user friendly DRM free options and the authors opting to allow it, it was no big deal to get all the books downloaded and converted for use on my eReader (a fairly recent model Kindle) via the open software Calibre. By virtue of the alphabet, Cape and Capability was the first book I opened up to read through.
Unfortunately, I don't know if the author is on Tumblr or I'd link to their profile (if you're the author and want the linkage beyond the above, please let me know and I'll edit this post accordingly). They are also on Scribblehub, so if you have an account there you can give them a follow.
Okay, let's get to the compliment sandwich:
First off, I enjoyed this book. It had me smiling at the majority of it. My girlfriend can attest that there were several times I put the book down to gush about the passage I had just read or some clever plot element. It reads like someone who knows the tropes of the superhero genre. It reads like fanfiction for a fandom you're not familiar with. It's adequately descriptive enough that you can track everything easily and it's clear the author has done a solid amount of world-building to make this seem 'real.'
The 'reads like fanfiction' cuts both ways in this case. The initial character development is rough. There were points in the first few chapters where I had to flip back a page or two to make sure I knew who's POV I was reading for, as there wasn't quite enough development for me to really distinguish the differences between Alice/Ifrit and Sandra/Cascade. The pacing was also a challenge, feeling quite rushed throughout the book. Typos were also present, though not egregiously so.
I say this so you know what you're expecting going into the book, because even with all that, I still enjoyed it enough that I would gladly have given it 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. It's tropey and cheesy and somewhat predictable, but ultimately fun and heartwarming and I'm very glad I got it.

On my hands and fucking knees, just use quotation marks. It is not ereader friendly to use brackets or something else that looks cool. I cannot fathom why you’d do this when the quotation mark button is right there but I’d have two nickels.

I don’t know why, but for some reason I started to ship Modern Reader with Yandere Rhaella Targaryen. When Tywin took Modern Reader to the Kings Landing (because he’s a hand of the King) he told Reader about Aerys 2, Rhaegar and Rhaella (although Modern Reader knows about them thanks to the book), once they’re there The Targaryens meet Reader, after all I think Aerys would want to meet a girl who was accepted as a Lannister by Lord and Lady of Casterly Rock. So when they introduced to each other, Modern Reader unknowingly gets so much attention. Maybe Queen Rhaella takes Modern Reader under her wing, Modern Reader treats the Queen with respect and takes care of her bruises, which are left thanks to Aerys (little shit), also Reader takes care of her son Viserys 3. And as much as Rhaella tries to stay loyal to Aerys 2, she can’t help but to feel something towards Modern Reader and Reader is so kind, gentle and friendly, but will not hesitate to put someone in their place. Yandere Rhaella would spend more time with Reader and Aerys won’t mind, because he trusts Reader and his wife won’t do anything stupid. (Aerys considers Reader as someone he can trust) shocking I know.
So yeah, I don’t know why I ship Modern Reader with Yandere Rhaella Targaryen, and for some reason I feel like Reader would be obedient and do what she says, because she’s a Queen. So what do you think about it? I’d like to know your opinion
You are indeed right. The Lannisters and the Royal family come together. The reader's personality impresses Queen Rhaella. Rhaella will most likely try to take the reader under her wing as a daughter. For some reason, Aerys 2 isn't the first time evil and cruel to a human. The Lannisters wouldn't like it if the Queen tried to take the ereader with her. But they were compelled to let the reader go in order not to go against the King. However, they always corresponded with the reader. The reader will want to go to Casterly Rock when he hears the news of Joanna's death. Maybe he'll be allowed to visit for a few days.

my kobo ereader won’t let me keep multiple ebooks downloaded from different libraries at the same time. even though my library card gives me access to all those libraries. I have to log in to a separate library on overdrive with the SAME library card which then undownloads my other books automatically. this has to be the least user friendly system they could have put in place

I'm really excited to read poetry for fish! Just one question - is the original format of the pdf in something that's easily exportable to epub (such as a word document)? And would you be willing to share an ebook reader friendly copy if so? I'm planning on getting a hardcover copy printed for display purposes but prefer to read on eReaders because you can change the font options. No worries if not, I'll see if I can convert the pdf myself, but I just thought I'd ask since it would be a lot cleaner if it came from the source :)
hi !!! i just added an epub link to the og post, i hope it works!! lmk if it doesn't <3

Friendly local librarian here with the answer to some FAQs as well as some fun library facts! :D
Q. How much does it cost to get a library card?
A. The answer to this depends on where you live and your age.
Most public libraries in North America* are free, although the ones in smaller communities may charge a small fee to cover the cost of the card and welcome package (back in the early aughts when my local library charged a fee it was $12 a year). That being said, if you cannot afford the fee, I can guarantee that they will waive it for you.
Also, its worth noting that regardless of how much it may cost an adult, I have never ever ever heard of a public library that charges for children’s and teens’ library cards.
Q. What kinds of things can I check out at the library?
A. This will vary wildly from library system to library system and even from branch to branch, but here are some of the things libraries around the world lend out to their patrons:
Newspapers
Magazines
DVDs
CDs
Video games
Pedometers
Fishing tackle
Dogs
Power tools
Clothing for the homeless
Mobile wi-fi hotspots
Bikes
Seeds
Fishing poles
Museum passes
Musical instruments
Green screens
Hobby supplies
Garden plots
Prom dresses
Local music streaming
Camping and hiking kits
Movie streaming services
Online magazine, comic book, and newspaper services
Book club kits
Sports equipment
Crayons
Ukranian egg decorating kits
Analog/tabletop games
Santa suits
Video game consoles
Laptops
iPads
eReaders
Umbrellas
Karaoke machines
Snowshoes
Room for wedding receptions
Knitting needles
Animal skeletons
Sewing patterns and kits
Electricity usage monitors
Cider mills
Car ramps
Detailed models of the human brain
Metal detectors
Portable disc golf baskets
Telescopes
Microscopes
Kitchen tools
People (the international “Living Library” project)
Sources: CBC, Mental Floss, ProQuest, How Stuff Works, MNN
Q. I have mobility issues getting to the library. Does that mean I can’t use it then?
A. Absolutely not!
For starters, most libraries have free online resources you can log into using your library card info. Most libraries also have a delivery program for people who are housebound or have mobility issues of any kind. Some libraries even have special programs especially for housebound people, such as book clubs that meet via Google Chat or Skype instead of in person (and if yours doesn’t, why not suggest they start one?)
Libraries for sparsely populated areas usually have some sort of program where they can mail stuff to you so you don’t have to go all the way to wherever they are... and in some places the library will just come to you! See if your library has a bookmobile schedule to pass by your area! :)
* I can’t speak for libraries elsewhere but I’d imagine this likely applies to them too.

eBook Conversion Services
Tumblr media
Go Digital, Go Global: Exceptional eBook Conversion Services
Digital content has become the primary medium of communication, education, and entertainment in today's fast-paced and interconnected world. The shift from print to digital formats has revolutionized the way we consume information. One of the most important developments in this digital era is the rise of eBooks. eBooks offer a convenient, portable, and easily accessible format for readers, allowing them to read their favorite books and publications at any time and from anywhere.
It is not an easy task to convert a physical book or document into an eBook. A high-quality eBook conversion service is required to ensure that the content is preserved in its original form while optimizing it for digital platforms. Whether you are a publisher, author, or business professional looking to reach a global audience, opting for professional eBook conversion services can make all the difference.
What is eBook Conversion?
eBook conversion is the process of taking a book in the printed or physical form and changing it into an eBook format. The transformation takes text, images, and other elements from the source file-a printed book, for example, or a PDF-and turns them into an eBook file format such as EPUB, MOBI, or PDF. The resulting files can then be read on any device from an eReader like Kindle, Nook, and tablets to smartphones and computers.
The objective of eBook conversion is to maintain the content of the original book and then make it richer for digital reading. Therefore, eBook conversion should involve detailed attention to proper formatting, keeping it compatible with many different digital platforms. So, professional eBook conversion services will present your content in the best way for your readers.
Tumblr media
Why Choose eBook Conversion Services?
Reach a Global Audience: One of the primary reasons to convert your book or content into an eBook is the ability to reach a global audience. With the widespread use of smartphones, tablets, and eReaders, digital content can easily be accessed from anywhere in the world. By converting your content into eBook format, you can distribute it globally via platforms like Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play Books, and many others. This opens up new avenues for revenue generation and readership that were not possible with traditional print books.
Cost-Effective: Traditional print publishing can be expensive, with costs associated with printing, shipping, and distribution. On the other hand, eBook conversion and distribution eliminate many of these costs. Once the eBook is created, it can be distributed globally at little to no additional cost. This makes it an affordable solution for independent authors, small publishers, and businesses looking to expand their digital presence.
Convenience and Accessibility: eBooks offer unparalleled convenience for readers. They are portable, meaning that readers can carry hundreds or even thousands of books with them on a single device. Additionally, eBooks can be read on multiple devices, from smartphones to specialized eReaders like Kindle, Nook, and Kobo. This makes eBooks a highly accessible format for readers of all kinds, ensuring that your content can be enjoyed no matter where they are or what device they use.
Environmentally Friendly: Unlike print books, which require paper, ink, and other resources, eBooks are environmentally friendly. By opting for eBook conversion, you contribute to reducing the carbon footprint associated with printing and distributing physical books. The digital nature of eBooks makes them an eco-friendly choice for authors and publishers who are conscious about sustainability.
Interactivity and Multimedia Features: One of the advantages of digital content is that it can be enhanced with interactive features and multimedia elements. With eBooks, you can incorporate audio, video, hyperlinks, and interactive quizzes to create a richer, more engaging experience for your readers. This is particularly useful for educational content, training manuals, and children's books, where visuals and multimedia can make the material more engaging and effective.
Instant Updates and Revisions: With traditional print publishing, once a book is published, any revisions or updates require a reprint, which can be costly and time-consuming. With eBooks, however, you can update the content instantly. If you need to correct errors or add new information, it can be done quickly and efficiently, ensuring that readers always have access to the most up-to-date version of your book.
Tumblr media
Key eBook Formats
There are several eBook formats available, and each has its own benefits and compatibility with specific devices and platforms. The most common eBook formats include:
EPUB: EPUB (Electronic Publication) is one of the most widely used eBook formats. It is compatible with most eReaders, including Kobo, Nook, and Apple Books. EPUB files are reflowable, meaning the text automatically adjusts to fit the screen size of the device. This makes EPUB ideal for novels, textbooks, and other types of content with a lot of text.
MOBI: MOBI is the format used by Amazon’s Kindle eReaders. While it is a proprietary format, it is still very popular due to the dominance of the Kindle platform in the eBook market. Authors and publishers looking to distribute their eBooks on Amazon should convert their files into MOBI format.
PDF: PDF (Portable Document Format) is another common format for eBooks. Unlike EPUB and MOBI, PDF files are fixed-layout, meaning that the formatting and layout are the same regardless of the device or screen size. PDFs are ideal for content that requires precise formatting, such as textbooks, manuals, or magazines.
AZW: AZW is another proprietary format used by Amazon, similar to MOBI, and it is used for Kindle devices. It supports advanced features such as digital rights management (DRM), which protects the content from unauthorized distribution.
HTML: HTML is the standard format used for web pages and can also be used for eBook creation. HTML eBooks are highly customizable and can include multimedia elements like images, videos, and links.
The eBook Conversion Process
The eBook conversion process always goes through several stages wherein attention to minute details is paramount for producing results of the utmost quality. Here are the most general steps during eBook conversion:
Initial Consultation: The first step in the eBook conversion process is a consultation between the author or publisher and the conversion service provider. During this phase, the client discusses their requirements, such as the target format (EPUB, MOBI, PDF, etc.), any specific design preferences, and the overall look and feel of the eBook.
File Preparation: The next step involves preparing the source file for conversion. This could involve scanning physical copies of books, converting PDF files, or formatting text files like DOCX or TXT. The source material is cleaned up, ensuring that it is properly formatted for the conversion process.
Conversion and Formatting: This is the core stage of the process, where the source file is converted into the desired eBook format (EPUB, MOBI, etc.). The formatting of the document is carefully adjusted to ensure that it is compatible with various devices and platforms. This includes ensuring the proper arrangement of text, images, headers, footnotes, tables, and other elements.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Once the conversion is complete, the eBook undergoes a thorough quality assurance process. This involves testing the eBook on multiple devices and eReader platforms to ensure it displays correctly and functions as expected. Any formatting issues, broken links, or other problems are addressed during this phase.
Final Delivery and Distribution: After the eBook has been tested and approved, it is delivered to the client in the desired format(s). If needed, the eBook can also be uploaded to various distribution platforms, such as Amazon, Apple Books, or Google Play Books, to make it available for purchase or download.

Convert. Publish. Succeed with EPUB Services
Tumblr media
In today’s world, where the internet has become so predominant, making content available to the broadest number of people is more important than ever before. Regardless of whether you are an author, a publisher, or the owner of any type of business with your growing collection of digital resources, EPUB conversions are the key to a number of promising opportunities that eBooks and digital publishing offer in various parts of the world.
Why EPUB?
Tumblr media
The eBook format used most around the world is the EPUB, short for Electronic Publication. Versatile, accessible, and reader-independent—user-friendly with every major e-reading platform, including Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play Books, and many more—EPUBs are dynamic and reflowable; in other words, the content accommodates its space by resizing according to any width of screen size, from smartphone up to tablet and desktop monitors, making it easier for your readers to enjoy your book.
The Power of EPUB Conversion
Tumblr media
Converting your content into EPUB format offers several advantages:
Increased Accessibility
EPUBs are designed for everyone; your content should be open to those with visual impairment or any other type of disability. Additional features such as advanced typography, TTS compatibility, and responsive web design make it easier to use.
Global Access
EPUB makes certain that your eBooks will be compatible with as many eReaders and commercial platforms as possible. This means your content is useful for an audience anywhere in the world.
Professional Presentation
EPUB conversion makes your content professional and refined with live links, pictures, and videos instead of just plain hyperlinks.
Future-Proof Content
Since eBooks travel with EPUB as the standard format, your content stays future-proof when transitioning into other platforms in electronic publishing.

hey I'm sorry I know this is about wattpad, but I'm using this as a moment to make a public service announcement. this not solely directed at prev (although it is also partially directed at prev) and I want to be clear that there is 100% no reason that you're expected to know this, I am not blaming anybody for being fooled
AO3 doesn't have an official app
AO3 is optimized to run in your mobile browser, because they don't really have the people, time, money to spare developing and maintaining an app.
if you're using an app on your phone or tablet to access AO3 it's 100% an unofficial third-party app, and not by the Organization for Transformative Works.
if it says 'official' app, its still not one. it's an unofficial app. they are lying. they're using the logo and everything, too, but they are not an official AO3 app. I found two like this, and I had to look to find the 'we are an unofficial app'.
for the sketchiness of that alone, I would recommend deleting the app and changing your AO3 password. I'm not your dad, I can't tell you what to do, this is just advice that's intended to be helpful and friendly.
I know a lot of the internet doesn't work well in the mobile browser but I swear AO3 works great! You can even make your own skins to change how the page looks for you! (Or use skins that other people have made, there's lots out there!) Or you can download the fics and use them in an ereader of your choice, if you prefer.
just be really careful, because this AO3 app situation comes up every now and again. sometimes it's well-meaning fans, sometimes it's not.
if AO3 ever does put an app out- which is not on the roadmap as far as I'm aware- you'll be able to find lots of information about it on the AO3 website, confirming that it's genuine will be easy-peasy.
okay, love you, bye!
This is what happened when a fanfic site is profit driven. Wattpad sucks 😞
Tumblr media
The email from Wattpad is so condescending imagine pressuring writers to update and work while they are doing it for free and fun. Also the discovery? Algorithm? Of Wattpad looks like a stressful popularity contest 😑
