Dave: I'm pretty sure a combat duplicate is the best power I've seen. Jade: I don't know, I could probably zoom out and see the whole continent. John: No way, Flying... Dave: Dude, we know you think flying the best. Vriska: Like you loooooooosers could compare to knowing the odds and combat boosts everytime you get the drop on someone. Aradia: Actually, I think those two might be right.

Karkat: Mine was pretty bad before now, but at least Gamzee can't get lost anymore. Sollux: P222hh, mine is still pretty bad. Feferi: It's a free potion every day, that's not bad at all. Equius: I don't know if I have ever used mine, I am quite STRONG enough as it is. Rose: I'm not fond of mine, but it probably isn't the worst.

If you had your shot at rewritting the epilogues and homestuck 2 (lets just pretend that you went back in time or some other bullshit, maybe the epilogues were never released in the first place and the only scam was hiveswap act 3) what would you do with the characters? Or would you just let homestuck 1 be the end?

Any overarching theme youd like to explore? Any substantial changes to the characters? Anyone coming back to relevance or even life? Who'd be the main antagonist? Who would get togheter/break up?

Most importantly, would davekat still suck?

I would probably just let Homestuck 1 be the end and let everyone interpret their own ending. If Davekat is canon for some, that's fine. If some think Grimdorks (John x Rose) is canon, that's fine too. If some think KatNep is canon, that's also fine. There will be less discourse compared today. Bias me though, would probably find a way to get the dead trolls like Eridan, Feferi, Equius, and Nepeta, back onto Earth C. Maybe they are key players needed to fight against Calliope, who would be the next big bad. Maybe she has something that stops or seals John's retcon powers (or himself) so she can do whatever she pleases to the narrative the way she wants. Karkat's shipping block prophecy of JohnRose and DaveJade happens as Roxy moves on from both John and Calliope to get together with Eridan, who turns out to be the real MVP of the sequel. He would also fulfill his role in defeating against the Cherub as the Hero of Hope. I'd definitely also want Feferi to grow more as a character. Explore about how her coddling had affected the Beforus trolls and that her methods were not as great compared to The Condesce. The same for themes about their old beliefs from Alternia being challenged against Earth C and following it's human customs. Which means no grooming child soldiers, trolls get to have parents, and certain beliefs or practices (like Perigee's Eve) are toned down or eradicated for the sake of keeping humanity safe. Cause seriously, would people be that tolerant to trolls that celebrate Christmas that has them decorating LITERAL SHIT in public spaces or in homes? The smell of it in different neighborhoods or in the Troll Kingdom, would be awful as fuck to be around in. Though Kingdoms would not exist. Instead, it is pure democracy as intended by Wayward Vagabond. So Kings and Queens do not exist and at best, the Godtier kids are treated either like Presidents, Prime Ministers, or other political positions of power in their own small section, but never fully the whole world to be fair for other races like Consorts and Carapacians, to have their chance to be a leader for the people. And yes, Davekat would still suck. Even if has become a minority, I would never ship it. Not as a joke or serious thing.
