Summary: You're a new teacher at a large and influential school. It's a risky step for you, as you've been running from your ex for almost two years. But when Dumbledore asks you to take on a class at the renowned Hogwarts, you can't refuse. However, your life as a newly arrived teacher won't be easy. Especially when the other teachers don't seem eager to make friends. Or rather, two teachers in particular: Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

Author's Note: Welcome, dear readers. Please leave your comments if you enjoy fanfiction. This fanfic takes place almost in the real world (with the addition of werewolves) and is not a wizarding fanfic. There will be some differences and changes in things from the Harry Potter story or other fanfics in the HP universe, but I promise to do my best writing this fanfic. There will be a love triangle coming in this fanfic. So, dear readers, just as in this fanfic it's meant to imagine Remus Lupin as being Andrew Garfield and Sirius Black as being Ben Barnes, now I present to you the fancast of Severus Snape as being actor Enzo Vogrincic. Imagine him as Snape if you can.

NINE ELEVEN

Severus Snape is alive. This brings you a sense of relief as you are not, and never were, a murderer. However, upon regaining consciousness, he had no memory of who you were or what he was doing there. He only knew he'd been attacked by something because of the pain in his body. After you concocted an excuse for his injury, he simply wanted to leave, and that's exactly what he did. Of course, before he woke up, you had already gone to the cabin to find some clothes to wear. In fact, before he woke up, you were planning how to bury him. But with him waking up disoriented and not remembering who you were, you felt that, in a magical way, at least one of your problems was solved. Now, dressed in what is probably Lupin's clothes, you head towards Hogwarts, hoping not to encounter any more problems.

"Miss Y/L/N, could you accompany me to my office?" is the first thing you hear as soon as you arrive at the entrance of Hogwarts. Great, you're about to lose your job at the worst possible moment in your life. Minerva McGonagall doesn't look at all pleased as she says this, staring at you. You follow Professor McGonagall to her office. Your dismissal seems almost inevitable. When you enter the office, Sirius is standing while Draco, Harry, and Ron are seated in front of McGonagall's desk.

"I believe everyone knows why they're here. I was informed of your actions at the Hogwarts Ball last night," McGonagall says as she finishes closing the door to her office. You don't look at Sirius; you can't. Part of you is angry at being left behind, even though it doesn't make sense. Remus needed help more urgently than you did.

"Draco, you're conveniently forgetting that you hit Hermione, and that's why Ron hit you," Harry says, staring at Malfoy. Draco looks at him as if Harry had said something trivial.

"No one asked you to defend me, Potter. But since we're here, I fought with Draco because he hit Hermione, and then Harry fought with me because he's a pain in the neck. I'll accept any punishment that doesn't involve spending time with Harry or Draco," Ron says, and you can see that unresolved issues are not exclusive to you.

"And where were the two prom monitors while their students were attacking each other?" Mcgonagall asks seriously as she looks at you and Sirius. You still avoid looking Black in the eyes but you feel his gaze upon you.

"Unfortunately, I couldn't stop the fight in time. Professor Black was gone for a short time and I lost control of the situation." You speak with a slightly shaky voice. There is a growing nervousness inside you.

"Actually, it was my mistake. I shouldn't have leaving Miss Y/L/N alone. There was a horrible unforeseen event that almost caused Professor Lupin's death." Sirius speaks with a worried tone of voice, he must have Remus' health in mind.

"Now that we have clarified the events, I admit that you all disappointed me. If it were up to me, the two teachers would be fired and the students expelled. But upon consulting Headmaster Dumbledore, he pointed out that everyone had bad and good deeds. Draco Malfoy, you hurt a colleague of yours. But he was also a victim of aggression. Ron Weasley, You defended a colleague but attacked another. The same goes for you, Harry Potter. Thanks to Professor Y/L/N, the fight ended. And Professor Black no matter how irresponsible it was, saved someone's life." McGonagall says this looking at you all with a look that could kill. We are all irresponsible to some extent.

"However, consequences must be assigned for your wrongful actions. Y/N and Sirius, you will be responsible for cleaning the ballroom used yesterday. As for the students: Malfoy, Weasley and Potter will be responsible for assisting you in this task. Once you complete this task, you will be held in detention for a minimum of two months.” McGonagall speaks and you can't help but feel bad about it all. She took it harder on them than you did.

"Professor McGonagall, Professor Y/L/N, had already grounded us in detention." Draco Malfoy speaks and you feel embarrassed. Now that you will be humiliated.

"The teacher was fulfilling her role. Even the time she gave you in detention will be served after the time I gave you three. Now everyone is dismissed." McGonagall speaks, and you understand that she may no longer have the patience to put up with looking at you. For a moment, you feel like a child who has done something wrong and is being scolded.

"I don't want to hear what you have to say to me. There's nothing I want to hear. If you want some advice, Harry, try making friends with Malfoy. You seem made for each other," Ron says as you all leave McGonagall's office. Harry seems upset seeing his friend abruptly distance himself like that. Weasley runs off, while Harry and Draco stand looking at each other. Sirius, for some reason, is also observing them just like you.

"He'll forgive you. You just need to hate me like everyone else does. But I'd hurry. Weasley is too temperamental. Tomorrow, he might replace you with a rat," Draco Malfoy says, looking at Harry Potter. Malfoy's words bring a certain pain in facing the fact that he's hated by a portion of people at Hogwarts. You watch the poor blonde-haired child leave your field of vision almost as quickly as the red-haired child did. Poor little creatures suffering from petty misunderstandings.

"If it's any consolation, Harry, I think you did the best you could. Sometimes, even when we do our best, we still get hurt. But you're a smart boy; you'll know how to overcome this." You gently touch Harry's head, trying to console him. He looks at you, adjusts his glasses, and gives a weak smile. Then he says goodbye to you and Sirius and walks away. You don't wait for any movement from Sirius and simply start walking towards your room. The last thing you want right now is to talk to him.

"So I'm the one you decided to blame for what happened yesterday, apparently," Sirius Black says as you walk to your respective rooms. You don't say anything, just keep walking. When you reach the corridor to your rooms, he pulls you into a corner, making your back hit the cold wall, leaving you face to face with him.

"Are you going to force me to talk to you?" you ask, trying to move away from Sirius, but his arms trap you.

"Yes, I will. You won't look at me, you don't want to talk to me. You haven't asked how Remus is doing, and on top of that, you're making that super sexy angry face that, instead of scaring me, is turning me on…" Sirius starts to say, but you cover his mouth with your hand. His eyes watch you as if you were a painting, while your fingers rest on his lips.

"Stop talking nonsense and tell me how your boyfriend is doing. Will Remus be okay?" you ask, removing your hand from his mouth so he can answer.

"He’s fine. The bullet just grazed him. But coincidentally or not, the silver bullet kind of affected the wolf part of Lupin. The village doctor is going to transfer him to Hogwarts soon." Sirius says, and you feel like hitting him. The way he spoke made it sound like Remus was dying.

"Now that I know that, can I go?" you ask, staring seriously at Sirius as he begins to look annoyed with you.

"What's wrong with you?" Sirius says in an angry tone, as if not understanding at all. Your indifference must be bothering him.

"I'm a complete idiot, that's what's wrong with me. You tangled with my ex, who nearly killed your little boyfriend. Then I tried to help and ended up bitten by Remus. I almost died, almost killed my ex, and now I turn into a werewolf. Now tell me, how would you be if all that had happened to you?" You speak, getting worked up, with some anger. Everything went wrong yesterday, waking up with blood in your mouth and disoriented, not knowing exactly what you did, was awful, and right now your anger is directed at Sirius.

"And it's my fault? You're going to blame me for everyone's mistakes, including yours?" Sirius asks, anger and maybe defiance in his eyes.

"I will blame you. You and Lupin. I never should have gotten close to you. Now I'm sentenced to spend my life transforming into something dangerous. Do us both a favor and stay out of my life. And send my best to Lupin, but I'd prefer he stay away from me too." You speak, using all your strength to push Sirius's arms away from you. You storm into your room shortly after, like a storm about to break.

You hear Sirius enter his room shortly after, slamming his door shut. There's silence for a while. You pace around your room, and he seems to do the same in his. Eventually, you decide to open the bathroom door—the place where you both used to meet. And there he is, on his side of the bathroom, looking confused and tense. You look at him, unsure of what to do. Then, both of you have the same idea. He starts walking towards you, and you move towards him.

"I'm fine with the idea of ​​you making me your villain. If it's going to make you happy, blame me. Hate me. But don't turn away. I'd rather your hate be directed at me, personally and preferably with clothes off." Sirius speaks and you don't even take two seconds to think. You pull him towards him and kiss him. With all the desire you feel to have him close to you. Your fingers run along Sirius' chest, while you slowly take off his clothes. His lips seeming like they want to consume all of you. He holds your legs pulling you up. Your legs wrap around Sirius' waist as you hold onto his hair.

"I hate you." You whisper against Sirius' mouth. He smiles and bites your lip then kisses you again. The slight taste of blood that his bite leaves in your kiss is exciting. Unfortunately, a knock on the door interrupts you, causing you to almost fall.

"Professor Y/L/N? Would you mind talking to me for a bit?" You hear Draco Malfoy's voice passing through your door. Your eyes They meet Sirius's who seems reluctant to let you go. He kisses your neck and you hold him tight as you return to the floor. Soon after, you hear another knock on the door, this time in Sirius's room.

"Sirius, would you have a moment to talk?" Harry Potter asks as he taps Sirius' door. You both adjust yourself so you don't look inappropriate and go to your respective rooms to help your students.

theo walked you both through a forest, taking weird paths that he claimed to be shortcuts. you giggled anytime he almost fell over a branch and he laughed deeply and almost lovingly as you stumbled against him a few times, because it was already dark.

at the party he walked you around, introducing you to foreign people and it made you heart flutter, that he did not introduce you with your name alone.

"curtis" he said when a blonde and tall boy entered his field of vision "this is my friend, y/n"

"hi, theo's friend y/n" curtis greeted and you smiled up at his tall figure.

"is your band playing tonight?" you asked and curtis nodded proudly.

"i'm the keyboarder" he explained "you will love it, i promise"

you normally hated boys with too big of an ego (maybe because of theo), but curtis was actually lovely and seemed like he meant it in a nice way. he reminded you of enzo and you instantely liked him.

"get your lady something to drink, theo" curtis patted the dark haired boys shoulder before he turned back to you "zero manners, huh?"

you giggled and curtis promised to come back and talk to you after the gig. theo walked you to a small table filled to the brim with different kinds of alcohol.

"what do you want?" he asked and you raised your brows as your eyes glided along the table.

you would rather not drink any alcohol, but there was nothing without it. also, you didn't want to explain why, so you just pointed to the bottle of sparkling wine and watched how theo filled a glass for you.

he took a bottle of beer for himself and walked you back into the crowd so you could listen to curtis and his band.

you had to admit that they were really good, but (and you did not say that to theo or curtis when he came to talk to you later) nothing in comparison to cursed legacy.

you sipped your sparkling wine as theo walked you around the party and talked so some of his friends. there were a few you found pretty funny, boys that reminded you of blaise and draco, as they were dancing weirdly across the dance floor.

and curtis' girlfriend was like a carbon copy of april. she joined you as you watched the boys and couldn't hold your laughter at their ridiculous dancing.

"friends like that keep your soul young" lily had said as she sat down next to you. "i'm lily" she added as she noticed your surprised expression "curtis’ girlfriend"

"y/n" you smiled "theo told half the people here to call me pixie, but don't listen to him, he's an idiot. and i know, i have the exact same friends on the other side of the town"

"so a few meters from here?" lily joked and you joined in on her laughter.

"something like that"

"are you theo's girlfriend?" she followed your eyes that were watching him as he was talking to curtis and another boy you hadn't been introducted to yet.

"no" you shook your head. theo turned his head and smiled at you, before he waved for you to come and join the conversation.

"they way he looks at you tells a different story" said lily as she followed you through the crowd.

you shook your head laughing. lily stepped next to curtis, who threw an arm around her body and you stepped next to theo, who, to your surprise, did the same.

later, theo and you started walking back home. you had said goodbye to the people you had met tonight, while theo had to promise both curtis and lily that he would bring you around more often. lily was so drunk that she almost cried as you told her that you were leaving, which made you like her even more.

you loved people that didn't get aggressive or angry when they got drunk, but rather emotional or funny.

"are you sure this is the right way?" you mumbled as you followed theo through the forest, your hand in his as he took paths that looked like they were not supposed to be walked on.

"trust me, baby" theo laughed and the nickname made your heart flutter. you were glad that he couldn't see your face.

to your surprise you came out of the forest right in front of your houses. the moon was shining down on the street, making it easier to see his beautiful face.

"so much music tonight and we didn't even dance"

"you're right" you smiled "what do we do now?"

"i have something on here" theo said as he took out his phone. "it's a song that was supposed to be on the album, but i scrapped last minute"

"oh" you said surprised "what is it about?"

"you"

you laughed unsurely "so pixie dream girl or daddy issues part two?"

"no" theo said quickly as he shook his head "it's not like that, it's not mean"

"why did you scrap it?"

"because leo was helping me to decide which songs were good enough for an album and i didn't want him to see this one"

you smiled up at him, before you finally nodded. "play it"

he set down the phone and pressed play, before he took your hand in his, one hand on your hip. the song was soft and gentle and you could hear the guitar and dracos keyboard.

"how did you record the guitar if leo didn't know about it?" you wondered.

"i played it myself" theo shrugged and you smiled as you heard his voice. "i wrote the song when you started hanging out with cormac and we stopped spending as much time"

i know a place it's somewhere i go when i need to remember your face we get married in our heads something to do while we try to recall how we met

he twirled you around on the street, moving you away and then back close to his chest again.

the bridge was definitely your favorite part of the song, as you softly hummed along.

there was something 'bout you that now i can't remember it's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender and i miss you on a train, i miss you in the morning i never know what to think about

you didn't want him to know, but you cried a bit. the song was so incredibly beautiful that it made your head hurt. right before the song was over, theo started singing along, supporting the theo from months ago.

he hugged you close to his body while you both swayed to the last few tunes of the song.

"that's how you felt? all while i was still there?" you asked him once he had pushed the phone into the back pocket of his trousers.

"it felt like you were worlds away" theo muttered "you were so obsessed with cormac that all i could do was write a song about how you were slipping away"

"i was sixteen and in love" you argued.

"i know" theo smiled "i was too"

you looked up at him in surprise and a bit of hope in your eyes. "and what about now?" you asked

"now i'm seventeen" he shrugged.

"and in love?" you asked carefully.

"deeply" his hands wandered to hold your hip, as you stepped closer to his body. your hands went to his neck. he drew you closer and slowly connected your lips. his lips were soft and warm and they felt like home in a place that hadn't felt like a home in a long time.

he brushed some of your hair out of your face as he deepened the kiss, softly pushing his tongue through your lips. you smiled at that.

as you broke the kiss, he softly leaned his forehead against yours.

"do you want to come inside?" you asked as you pointed to your house.

theo smiled as he nodded. you took your key out of your bag and opened the door. to your surprise, you could hear someone move through the house.

it was well past midnight, so you shrieked in surprise when your mum turned on the light. she screamed at the same time as you did.

you wondered what she was doing up here. normally she wouldn't come out of bed or up here in general. she would spend most days in bed, curled up under leo's bedsheets.

"y/n!" she screamed and you noticed the tears on her cheeks.

"mum" you muttered as you looked back at theo, who was still standing in the entryway, unsure what to do.

"where have you been?" she screamed. "you're soaked!" theo's and your eyes went down your body simultaneously. you were completely dry.

"i'm not, mum" you shook your head "maybe you should go back to bed" you tried to grab her arm but she moved away from your hold.

"i told you not to go out in the rain"

"mum, i didn't, really"

"where have you been all night?" she screamed and winced. "i have been sick with worry! you've been gone for hours, y/n!"

"mum, i-"

"i don't want to hear another word!" she grabbed your hand and pulled you closer. "leo, sweetheart is that you?" she only seemed to notice theo, now that you were not standing in front of him anymore.

you and him exchanged a look. "no, mum" you softly said "that is theo" you turned your head back at him "maybe you should better go"

he nodded at your suggestion.

"leo, sweetheart" your mum called as she saw him moving. theo froze. "where are you going?" you held her in place as she tried to move closer to him.

"go, home, theo" you said "i'll call you"

"where's leo?" the calm in her voice was suddenly gone and she was screaming again. theo turned around alarmed.

"go, i'll call you" you repeated. "you shouldn't have called him" your mother screamed "why did you call him?" she sank down on the ground sobbing and screaming as she held her arms close to her chest. you sat down beside her.

you looked up and saw the sad look on theo's face. "please, go, theo"

he left and closed the front door behind him.

your mother calmed down quickly and you were able to bring her back down to bed. she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow and you watched her for a few minutes as you wiped your cheeks to get rid of your tears.

you shared the color of her eyes and hair, the way she used to walk down the street and the sound of laughter, that you hadn't heard since that night a year ago.

you kissed her head softly, before you got up and left the room. "goodnight, mum" you mumbled before you closed the door.

then you walked up to your room. the curtain of your window was open and you saw theo sitting at his window on the other side. you saw him scribble something down on his blog, before he pressed it against the window.

is she always like this?

you shrugged, before you took your own blog and wrote an answer.

not always, but sometimes she freaks out and thinks it's that night again

you weren't sure what to answer. you didn't want to lie to him, but the truth embarassed you.

you could see the same look of pity in theo's eyes as you always saw in april's. she was the only one who really knew how bad your mother had gotten.

you sat there for longer than you should have, only going to bed as soon as you couldn't keep your eyes open and were almost falling asleep on the desk.

sunday was warm and thick and theo came to pick you up. all of you, the rest of the guys and april, went to the lake behind the garage to go swimming.

the sun was relentless but you were so happy that you did not mind.

april and enzo had arrived hand in hand, kissing each other all over their faces, before they announced that they were finally dating. you were more than just happy for them and exchanged conspiritorial looks with theo as they mentioned how they had spend their night.

none of your friends knew about your and theo's adventure from the night before, or the times you had spent in each others embrace. you were glad that they had stopped asking questions about the way you acted after the last time.

you hadn't been sure if you would have been able to lie, but your friends kept their mouths shut, silently smiling and fully accepting the new normal.

theo had send you the demo of about you and you had spent any free minute listening to it. this was your song, the song that was truly about you and you couldn't love it more.

and for now, everything that had happened between you just belonged to the two of you.

theo walked into the garage to get a few more beers as he ran into mattheo, who came back from the toilet.

"hey, mate" he patted theo's shoulder, as the latter bend down to open the fridge.

mattheo's eyes wandered to the window that overlooked the lake. blaise and draco were standing on top of the tree that was hanging over the water, while they tried not to fall down. april and you were loudly laughing as you tried to throw each other into the water. enzo came up behind the two of you and helped to throw april inside, before he pushed you in after her. mattheo watched as your head came back up and you began laughing.

"you have to tell her" mattheo mumbled "the concert is in a few days"

"i know" theo muttered, before he took a big sip from his beer. "but she's so happy" his heart fluttered as he watched you run across the grass as draco and blaise were chasing you.

"all the more reason to tell her" mattheo nodded "maybe she doesn't mind"

"i don't know" theo shrugged "i still lied to her"

"not if you just tell her" theo nodded at his friend before he left the room. mattheo bend down to get a beer for himself, as his eyes returned back to the glass. you were in the lake again and you face lit up as your eyes fell on theo.

you held your hand in his direction, before you dragged him in to the water. mattheo could hear you giggle, followed by theo's warm laughter as he held you close to his body and dipped you down in the lake. "so, that's how it is?" mattheo mumbled smiling as he watched the two of you.

monday came fast and so did the bad weather. it had been raining since the morning and you couldn't be more glad that april and theo both had their own cars so no one had to walk.

"good morning, baby" theo greeted as soon as you sat down in his car. he turned in your direction expectingly, moving his lips. you giggled before you kissed him and he leaned back with a satisfied grin.

on your way to school you picked up draco and blaise who were talking about a switch in the atmosphere. you and theo listened to their blabbering as you exchanged looks with each other.

"this was disgusting" mattheo said as he climbed from the backseat of april's car. she had driven him and enzo to school with her. "two people in love and i have nowhere to escape"

"yeah" draco nodded "i kind of feel the same" blaise and him exchanged confused gazes, not quite realizing what they were talking about just yet.

"should we head to english?" you asked before one of them was able to further think about it.

"sure" april took your arm as she dragged enzo behind her. theo stayed close to you, but did not hold your hand.

mrs walker was on time today and she even smiled as she noticed the friendly conversation you and theo were having. "war is over, huh?" she smiled and you softly nodded.

it was the first time in months that you did not mind theo sitting so close to you. you needed his warmth, as if his and your body were magnets of opposite sides, always pulling each other close.

during class, theo was drawing hearts on your hand with his finger and you wondered when you had forgotten how soft love was.

love was back, because theo was and you had missed him terribly, even before there was that wall of fault between the two of you. you had thought that there was no way to fix what had been broken, but maybe you had been wrong.

theo had felt the same, as he had told you. and he understood you, understood the way you could not have a relationship with your father, the way you felt sad anytime your eyes fell on your mother and why you had taken down every photo of your brother and put them in a box under the bed.

"i take them out when i want to remember" you had told him "when i'm ready to feel him"

"do you think you will be able to hang them up again?" theo had asked.

"i don't know" it broke a piece of your heart that you weren't able to really tell "maybe there will just always be something broken inside of me"

"and your parents?" he had pushed a strand of hair behind your ear "are they broken too?"

"more than me" you had said "that's why i can only be broken at certain times"

theo squeezed your hand before he had to take it away to write something down. you smiled at him, before you started writing too.

suddenly your phone buzzed in the back pocket out your trousers. there were only fifteen minutes of class left, but maybe it was important, so you took it out without mrs walker noticing and opened the message that had been send from an unknown number.

hey, peanut it read and you heart stopped beating. it's dad. how are you? dave called me to tell me about the record deal for leo's band, i heard they're making great music. theo messaged me too, is he your boyfriend? he told me that you needed to talk. call me!! xoxo dad

you stared down at the message and your whole body froze. dave fraser was the guy that was eventually giving the guys the record deal? you knew it had to have been leo who contacted him. and theo had messaged your dad? a thousand questions were running through your mind, but before you got a chance to answer them, another message came in.

i'm sure everything will work out with the deal. dave is obsessed with the guys and pixie dream girl! he told me i should come and listen to them play on saturday. will you be there too? didn't theo used to call you pixie? kinda funny!

yeah, you thought, funny.

"y/n?" mrs walker called "do you know the answer to number five?"

"what?" you muttered as you looked up from the phone in your hand.

"i asked if you knew the answer to number five" mrs walker repeated, but her eyes grew wider as she noticed the tears in your eyes "are you alright?"

you shook your head before you grabbed your bag and pushed your blog inside. "can i please leave?"

"ehh" mrs walker seemed to be caught off-guard before she finally nodded. you grabbed your things and ran out of the room under the confused eyes of your friends.

"excuse me" you could hear a voice call and quickly, steps were following after you. it was theo and you just quickened your pace.

"y/n!" he called. "are you alright?" there were another few pairs of feet running over the floor.

"you can't just all leave class" you could hear mrs walker say.

"it's important" april said.

"we will write an extra essay" enzo promised and you could hear both mattheo and draco groan.

"are you nuts?" blaise said loudly, before he was scolded by mrs walker.

you walked down the steps, theo behind you and behind him april, enzo, mattheo, draco and blaise.

"where are you going?" theo asked, but you ignored him. he followed you outside into the rain, where he finally caught up with you, holding your arm so you had to freeze in your step.

the rest of your friends waited under the little roof before the doors.

"what has gotten into you?" he asked.

"what has gotten into me?" you repeated laughing "what the fuck is wrong with you, huh?"

"what are you talking about?" you both were already soaked.

"you're playing pixie dream girl on saturday?" you asked.

before he could stop himself, theo had already answered "how do you know?"

mattheo hid his face in his hands and enzo groaned audibly.

"so it's true then?" you asked "and i bet all of you knew" you looked behind theo and into the guilt-ridden faces of your friends.

"we wanted to tell you-i mean i wanted to, really"

"yeah, you did? were you waiting for the right moment? taking bets when would be the funniest time?"

"no, you don't understand"

"oh, i think i do" you shook your head as you cried "you're still punishing me for everything that happened a year ago"

"what? no, i'm not" theo almost pleaded for you to believe him.

"did he tell you everything?" you turned to the other boys "how's your next song about me called, huh? y/n's psycho mother?"

"y/n, we don't know what you're talking about" mattheo said.

"oh you don't? well, let me clear things up as long i have the chance to do so myself" you clenched your hands together, you were already shaking from the harsh cold of the rain "what did you miss? my mother has gone completely off the rails since my brother died, my dad and i haven't spoken in a year and i think i have a lot of issues too"

you could hear april cry and the rest of the boys also looked like they were absolutely distraught.

"theo was a great friend" you said bitterly "while i went to him crying, he wrote a song that he knew would hurt me and he still put it on the album. and after i told him i how i felt about it, he claimed it was supposed to help me, while he aired out my dirty laundry to everyone in this fucking town"

"daddy issues" draco muttered under his breath.

"damn right" you pointed in his direction.

"daddy issues is about y/n?" enzo asked and he looked as betrayed as you felt.

"y-yeah" theo muttered "but i did not mean to hurt her"

"that's funny, theo" you laughed sarcastically "did you also not mean to hurt me when you messaged my father?"

"you did what?" april asked angrily and was ready to step next to you, but enzo held her back before she could walk in the rain.

"i know you don't want to talk to him, but i thought-"

"thought you knew my life better than i do?" you asked angrily "the night of leo's death, my dad spent hours screaming at me. my brother had just died and he stood in front of me while he told me how everything was my fault. he was the one telling me that he didn't want to see me again" you raised your arms "but who am i to complain about that, right? at least he's paying his child support, more than he has to actually, or mum and i would live on the street now. because she doesn't leave leo's fucking bed" you screamed in the direction of your friends "she never gets up" you added.

april sobbed and you noticed that all of the others had tears in their eyes as well.

"she's a mess" you muttered "but even she thinks it's my fault. you remember theo? that night in my house, when she thought you were leo? do you know how it feels to come home and she turns on the light and there's a flicker of hope in her eyes, because just for a short second she thinks i'm her dead son? and when she notices that it's me, just me, she just goes back to bed"

"we didn't know" blaise said softly.

"because i didn't want anyone to know" you said "but theo is running around telling people whatever he feels like and all of this will probably be featured on your second album anyway, so fuck it, right?"

"i'm so sorry" theo cried and you couldn't tell what was rain and what were tears on his face.

"sorry isn't cutting it this time, theo" your voice was a lot calmer now "you asked if i will be able to hang leo's pictures up again and the most honest answer i can give you is that i don't know if i could bare to look at his face while knowing that i killed him"

"you didn't kill him" theo argued.

"it doesn't matter to me how you see all of this, theo" you shook your head "just leave me alone, okay? but this time for real. i don't want to see you and i don't want to speak to you" you paused, before you added "because the real reason why we aren't friends anymore is that after everything that happened, you didn't even have the decency to come to leo's funeral. he was your friend, your best friend"

you send one last look in the direction of your friends, before you started to walk away.

theo called your name and you turned your head, but mattheo held him in place. you nodded at him, thankfully. april looked between enzo and theo, before she shook her head and ran after you.

she put her arm around you and let you cry into her shoulder as you both walked through the rain. away from your friends and away from theo, who you swore in that moment, had broken your heart for the last time.

Summary: When the Reader finds herself reliving the horrors of Augustine Society through the form of Nightmares, Enzo comes to the Reader's side to calm her with a sense of comfort and security.

MYSTIC FALLS

The nightmares. The neverending nightmares... When the nightmares first appeared, it seemed they may have been a sign of your distress. Which, didn't seem so odd. Given the recent invasion of Lily Salvatore's Heretic Family in Mystic Falls, you had found yourself becoming overwhelmed by the whole ordeal.

But after a while, you noticed the nightmares didn't stop.

They became more frequent and more intense. It was then that you realized, your past traumas were beginning to reawaken. And you didn't know what to do.

You knew your friends already had a lot on their plate with the Heretics. The last thing you wanted was for them to worry about your well-being.  So, you kept the nightmares to yourself. Deciding, they were your burden to bear.

Sooner or later, you knew it was only inevitable that someone would discover your secret.

You always thought it would perhaps to Caroline, or Bonnie. They were usually always the first to notice was something was off with you.

Then again, you didn't put it past Damon to snoop around when he thought you were being secretive.

However, it was the one person you actually needed by your side, that was the one to find out.

Enzo.

Enzo had been one of your closest friends. Ever since you met him after being captured by the Augustine Society. How could you ever forget that awful day? What went from a peaceful stroll through the town, became your worst nightmare.

You remembered how awful it was for you.

Being vervained. Dragged and thrown into a cell.

In that cell, was the first time you met Enzo. Who, had seemed to learn Augustine's methods. Right away, he told you all about their experiments. He told you everything you needed to know. Enzo helped you survive those awful years that you felt so hopeless and lost.

And now so many decades later, he was helping you through it all over again...

Cold. Dark. Thirst. As you felt every muscle in your body weakened, all you could think about was your need for blood. More blood. Blood have you strength. Gave you power.

But being deprived of that blood, took away any ability to fight for yourself.

Which made you feel powerless.

Day in, day out was always the same. You sat in your cold, darkened cell. Usually leaned up against the wall. The Doctors gave you your daily blood ration, and you awaited to see if today would be your day to be experimented on.

Augustine had so many Vampires, it resulted in all of you having to take turns.

Sometimes it was days, sometimes it was weeks. Neither of you never knew when it was going to be your turn to be tested.

With hitched breathing, you were leaned against the wall. Just trying so hard to keep going. To keep some strength.

As you laid there, the sound of the cell door creaking open, made your ears perk up.

You turned your head. Entering your cell, were two Augustine Doctors. One of then greeted you with a sinister smile. "You’re up.”

“No! Stay away!” You spat.

The Two Doctors each grabbed one of your arms, lifting you up into your feet. "Come on doll, won't be that bad today."

"No! No! Please!" You tried to fighting them, as they pulled you out of the cell into the hallway. "Please. Please. I don't want to. Please!" You begged.

Your feet dragged against the floor, as they carried you down the hallways.

Eventually, you found yourself in the lab room. It was a long room filled with medical equipment and machinery.

The two Doctors, walked you through the room until they stopped by one of the tables.

Carelessly, they throw you down onto the table.

You laid there, as they tied you down. Both of your arms and your legs were tied down to the table.

The Doctors then pulled out a needle. A needle filled with vervain. Injecting it into your neck to sedate you.

"Please! Please let me go!"

"Now now dear Y/N, we've done this enough times, you know the procedure." One of the doctors husked. "Just a few cuts. Some stitching. We can get your back to your cell, in no time."

You leaned your head up, seeing the door to the room be shut and locked tight.

Tears filled your eyes. Your breathing becoming more and more rapid. You began to panic. You struggled in your restraints. "NO. LET ME GO YOU BASTERDS!" You screamed.

The two Doctors stood on either side of you. Preparing their tools.

You squeezed your eyes shut, tears rolling down your cheeks feeling nothing but fear and despair...

Gasping for air, your eyes shot open and you felt sweat roll down your face. You sat up, running your hands through your hair and letting out a shaky breath. Trying to calm yourself. 'It's just a dream. It's just a dream.' You tried telling yourself.

That's all it was, a dream.

But, that dream had once been your reality. Maybe that's why it was so much more terrifying?

You ran your hands over your face, sighing in frustration as you began to feel your tears well up in your eyes.

Why did you have to dream about that again?

Why couldn't the nightmares just go away? Because you spent decades, trying to forget your past with the Augustine Society.

But it seemed your subconscious couldn't quite let it go.

"Are you alright, love?" A voice called out.

Turning your head, you looked over in the bedroom doorway. Standing there with a mixture of both concern and curiosity on his face, was Enzo. The older vampire narrowed his eyes.

You blinked. "Enzo?"

"Y/N, is everything alright?" Enzo cautiously entered the room. "I heard you screaming out."

You swallowed. You just have been crying out in your sleep, and alerted Enzo. You breathed out. "Y-Yeah." You nodded. "Just a bad dream."

Enzo shakes his head, walking over to your bed. "Just a bad dream?" He paused for a moment. "That didn't seem like just a bad dream to me, love." He could tell it was something more than that. "More like a nightmare"

You looked away from him. Trying to avoid eye contact. "I...don't know."

Enzo huffed. He sat down on the edge of the bed beside you. "The way you're avoiding looking at me is telling me otherwise."

"It's...not important." You lied.

Enzo grabbed your chin, making you look at him. You could see the determination in his eyes. He wasn't going to let it go. "Y/N, holding it back isn't going to do you any good."

You knew he was right about that. Keeping this to yourself any longer, wasn't going to make it go away.

Would keeping it from Enzo really make a difference?

Enzo knew you better than anyone. And if there was one thing you had learned about him over the years, he didn't like seeing you in pain.

He hated to see you suffer.

Sighing, you lowered your head. Maybe if you opened up to someone, there was a chance that you could rid yourself of these awful nightmares. You took a moment, trying to gather your words. Talking about wouldn't be easy. But, you knew Enzo would listen to you and console you. You let out shaky breath. "I've...been having nightmares." You told him.

Enzo titled his head. "Nightmares?"

You nodded your head. "Yes. And... I've been having them almost every night."

Enzo's expression softened. The older vampire looked to you. What could you have possible been having nightmares about?

"What are these nightmares about?" He asked, gently.

You took a deep breath. You knew you had to tell him the truth. No more lies. You didn't want to hide things from him any longer. "Augustine."

Enzo's expression fell. "Augustine?"

You gave him a sad nod of your head. "Yes. And they won't stop... They... They won't go away, Enzo. I...I don't know what to do." You shake your head. "I don't know why I'm having them."

"Y/N darling, I am so sorry." Enzo shakes his head. "I...I didn't realize."

Tears welled in your eyes. "I just want them to go away, Enzo. I just...I just want it to go away."

Enzo looked to you, feeling his heart ache for you. He wanted to do whatever he could to make you feel better. He leaned closer. "Oh darling, don't cry." He brushed his fingers along your cheek.

"You know what I went through. What...we all went through." You told him.

Enzo nodded his head. "Of course I do, love."

A tear rolled down your cheek. "Why? Why does this have to happen now?" There was so much going on in your life already. It was too much to bare.

Enzo took your hand in his. "I don't know, love. I wish I had answer for you."

"Enzo..." You looked to him. "You and Damon were the only reason that I managed to survive that awful place." It was true. Having Damon and Enzo's companionship, helped you get through all of those awful days and nights. Helped you keep on fighting. Helped give you hope. "I...don't know where I would be without you both."

Probably dead, if you were being honest. After all, Damon and Enzo helped you escape their captivity.

You owed them your life.

Enzo kept ahold of your hand. "Listen to me, Y/N. You are strong. You are going to get through this, do you hear me?" He knew that with him by your side, you would overcome it all.

You sat there, as he held your hand. Listening to his voice as he spoke. It seemed so...comforting to you.

Enzo kept his voice calm and steady, trying to keep your mind off of what was bothering you.

And surprisingly, it seemed to work.

You let out a sigh. Closing your eyes, and letting yourself relax a little bit. "Okay." You nodded.

Enzo gave you a reassuring squeeze of your hand. "Don't worry darling. I'll be here by your side I promise."

That you believed was true.

There was no doubt about it. Enzo would never abandon you. He always had your best interest at heart.

And you adored him for it.

"Okay." You nodded again.

Enzo's eyes softened. "Hey, why don't I stay here while you go back to sleep?" Perhaps then, you could feel at ease knowing he was by your side. "I'll stay right here, love. I promise you that."

You sniffled. "You will?"

"Of course, love." Enzo nodded his head. He raised a hand, brushing a strand of hair out of your face. He gave you a smile. "You mean the world to me. You're one of my closest friends, and I wouldn't ever dare let anything happen to you."

You managed a soft smile to return to him. "Thank you, Enzo. For...everything you've ever done for me."

"No need to thank me, love." Enzo tells you.

You let out a shaky breath. You looked to Enzo. Maybe, just maybe if you had someone by your side. It would keep the nightmares away. And maybe, just maybe that someone would be Enzo.

"Okay, I'll try to go back to sleep." You nodded. You laid your head back, then resting it on the pillow.

"As you should." He nods.

"Good night, Enzo." You smiled at him.

Enzo kept his smile. He bend down, giving your forehead a tender, yet comforting kiss. "Goodnight, Love." He caressed your face, before pulling away.

Enzo laid down beside you, pulling the blanket over you.

You relaxed in his presence, feeling much better now that you shared your secret with him.

And soon, you found yourself falling into a calm, and peaceful slumber...

NINE

Summary: You're a new teacher at a large and influential school. It's a risky step for you, as you've been running from your ex for almost two years. But when Dumbledore asks you to take on a class at the renowned Hogwarts, you can't refuse. However, your life as a newly arrived teacher won't be easy. Especially when the other teachers don't seem eager to make friends. Or rather, two teachers in particular: Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

Author's Note: Welcome, dear readers. Please leave your comments if you enjoy fanfiction. This fanfic takes place almost in the real world (with the addition of werewolves) and is not a wizarding fanfic. There will be some differences and changes in things from the Harry Potter story or other fanfics in the HP universe, but I promise to do my best writing this fanfic. There will be a love triangle coming in this fanfic. So, dear readers, just as in this fanfic it's meant to imagine Remus Lupin as being Andrew Garfield and Sirius Black as being Ben Barnes, now I present to you the fancast of Severus Snape as being actor Enzo Vogrincic. Imagine him as Snape if you can.

EIGHT TEN

The ball was going well. Like a fairy tale coming true. Until everything turned upside down. But before talking about the tragic end of the night, you need to remember how it all happened. Shortly after your conversation with Sirius, you made sure to pay attention to what your students were doing. Harry was now surprisingly dancing with Hermione while Draco was dancing with Pansy. It seemed like they were having a dance-off. You went to observe closely.

"Your moves are outdated, Potter. It's no wonder you decided not to have a date; you'd easily break the poor girl's foot if she accepted to dance with you," Malfoy says pompously, managing to bump into Potter while dancing with Pansy. Up close, you feel sorry for the girls, as they must certainly be dizzy from all the spinning on the dance floor while Draco and Harry seem distracted by each other.

"Says the guy who's probably breaking his best friend's toes while trying to lead her. If you needed me so badly to be able to dance, you should have just asked. I'd lead you," Potter retorts, feeling a certain pride in his comeback. Draco then lets go of Pansy, making a move to go after Harry immediately. The first punch Draco throws at Harry ends up hitting Hermione. You immediately try to get close to your students, but it is almost ineffective. Several students form almost a wall to watch the Draco and Harry fight. Ron suddenly appears, hitting Draco hard enough for the boy to fall to the ground. Hermione says several times that she's fine and that Ron should stop. Harry, oddly enough, helps Malfoy up from the floor. When Ron prepares to attack Malfoy again, Harry holds him back.

"You can't be defending this asshole. He attacked Hermione." Ron screams as Harry holds him as tightly as he can.

"I'm not defending him. I'm stopping you from getting screwed for the whole year. He obviously wanted to hit me. It was an accident. It's not worth it." Harry responds, still holding Ron, who continues struggling to get rid of Harry and go after Malfoy.

"Funny that it seems like you want to be the only one who can attack Malfoy. Is he the exclusive property of the almighty Potter?" Ron asked with so much petulance that he got what he wanted. Harry let go of him almost immediately.

"Take back what you just said. Now." Harry says, taking off his suit and lifting both sleeves. Ron laughs while Malfoy cries because his nose is bleeding. All at the same instant. You try to get to them but the crowd gets in the way. McGonagall will be furious. She trusted you and Sirius to look after them. And at the moment you can't and Sirius has disappeared.

"I can't take back what I said because I only told the truth." Ron practically shouts at Potter who immediately knocks him to the ground. Harry punches Ron which makes him bleed, leaving Harry's hands covered in blood.Ron manages to recover and punch Harry, who appears to be furious.

"The next person to use violence will be expelled. No exceptions." You scream as loud as you can. The students seem to come to their senses, giving you space to pass. Harry and Ron are standing on top of each other. Bruised faces.

"I had nothing to do with what happened, Professor," Hermione says loudly while recovering from her injury.

"Miss Granger, don't worry. Go to the infirmary with Mr. Malfoy. I believe you both need medical attention more urgently. Malfoy, you are in detention for the next month. You may go." You address Hermione and Draco, as they head to the infirmary together. Malfoy mutters things like it being unfair and that he is practically dying of pain.

"Potter and Weasley, please accompany me. The rest of you, return to the party. The ball continues." You say, looking at the two boys and then around you. The other students start dancing and gossiping. You begin to walk and only hear the footsteps of Ron and Harry. The two don't say anything, they just follow you.

"What will our punishment be, Professor Y/L/N?" Harry asks as soon as you reach the exit of the ball. You needed a calmer environment to talk to these two.

"I would like to know, Potter, but I fear that what you did went beyond what any punishment can address. Therefore, I want you to think with me about how things could have gone wrong. For instance, Mr. Weasley could have caused Mr. Malfoy to lose consciousness. He might have had to face justice. Or Mr. Potter could have broken some part of Mr. Weasley. Many things could have been worse than they were. I think detention is the appropriate punishment for you, but I won't lie. McGonagall might believe you all deserve harsher penalties. For now, know that you are in detention until the end of the month. Go to the infirmary in harmony. If I hear about any fights, consider yourselves suspended. Inform Malfoy of this." You speak in your most authoritative tone. The boys seem to understand and don't argue. Something in them shows that they are both upset. They leave, keeping a distance from each other.

A loud howl grabs your attention, followed by the scream of a man. It must be something with Lupin; that's why Sirius isn't here. You can't leave the dance unattended, so as soon as you spot Bellatrix, you head toward her.

"Can you keep an eye on the kids for a moment?" you ask, too nervous to think about what you're doing. Something bad must be happening right now.

"For a kiss, yes. You know favors always come with a price. Mine is to know what your lips taste like," Bellatrix asks, completely uninterested in the ball. You stare at her for a couple of seconds, waiting for her to say something like "I'm just kidding," but she doesn't say anything.

"Deal," you say, pulling her into a kiss. Since you wanted a quick kiss, you needed it to be intense from the start. Bellatrix's lips are cold, but as your mouth explores hers, you feel her fingers wandering over your neck, deepening the kiss. She bites your lip lightly during the kiss, causing your lower lip to bleed slightly. A taste of blood fills your kiss. Fortunately, where the two of you are isn't a crowded area or anything. It would be embarrassing to kiss her like this near the students. You pull away slightly when you realize you should be outside helping Lupin. Without wasting any time, you run. Your high heels are not helping at all, so you take them off to be able to run towards the noise you're hearing.

"Are you seriously protecting a monster?" Severus asks as he points a gun at Sirius.

"The only monster I see here is you. You're chasing after a woman who doesn't love you anymore. You should understand when someone doesn't want you anymore and leave; leave her and everyone here in peace," Sirius retorts, facing Snape's gun. Snape gives a sinister, almost chilling laugh.

"Snape, lower your weapon," is what you say as you approach them. Snape looks at you almost as if he wished you were there with them. He was probably eager to have you witness him threatening Sirius.

"Tell your little boyfriend to get out of my way. There's a dangerous animal here. Your little boyfriend is preventing me from doing what's right," Snape says as he unlocks the gun, and you become afraid for Sirius. You approach closer, getting near Snape.

"Don't do this. You're not a murderer," you say, looking worriedly at Snape, who doesn't take his eyes off Sirius. Snape laughs loudly, as if you had told a joke.

"But I can start being one now." He speaks with a shot that is almost deafening. Luckily Snape doesn't have very good aim. The shot hits a tree. But a few seconds later Lupin in wolf form advances towards you all. Snape points the gun in his direction. Black, in turn, gets into a fight with Snape to stop him from shooting. You look at Lupin, knowing that since he is in wolf form, he won't be able to control himself. But you know he wouldn't want to become a killer. If he kills Snape, it will be the end for him. So you take a risk. When Lupin comes to attack Snape, almost jumping on top of Snape, you throw yourself in front. You hear a loud gunshot noise as you feel Lupin bite your arm with all your might.

"Remus, it's me. I know you can hear me. If you hurt me, there's no need to have a guilty conscience. I knew the consequences when I took a risk." You mutter with the intention of just Remus listen to you. Something in the wolf's eyes changes. He lets go of your arm slowly. Then you notice a bullet wound on him. The shot hit him. You watch him lose the gleam in his eyes as he slowly transforms back into a human. Sirius runs towards Lupin as soon as he realizes he's been injured. You wish you could help, but unfortunately, you're slowly losing consciousness as you bleed from Lupin's bite. Your eyes grow heavy as you feel your life ending. What a way to die. Bitten by a werewolf. A werewolf you've already kissed.

"It's not today that you're going to die." Snape says as he pulls you close and lifts you up. You are officially being carried by him. Would it be a happy ending amidst the chaos? Of course not.

You feel something inside you change, instantly. An animal moment. You don't see anything anymore. Everything is darkness. As if you lost consciousness for good, but was still awake. When you wake up, your body is completely bloodied. Cheers, you survived. But for some reason you're naked, with the taste of blood in your mouth and a seemingly dead Severus Snape on the floor next to you. You recognize this type of situation from what you went through with Lupin, who by the way is not around. Not even Sirius is around . Maybe it's good that no one worried about you. Because apparently, you killed your ex-boyfriend and turned into a wolf.

Walking into the flower shop, you’re immediately bombarded with the sweet smells, and the gorgeous colours of flowers. You’d been looking for a florist for a while, trying to find a nice place to get flowers whenever you need to send a thank you or celebrate a birthday. This afternoon in particular you were hoping to find something to give your coworker for her birthday.

“Hey! How can I help you?” The man behind the counter is very cute, smiling brightly as he arranges a bouquet of lilies.

“Oh, hi! I’m just looking to buy a bouquet? Something that says ‘happy birthday’ but for a coworker you know?” You laugh nervously but he seems to get it.

“Of course! Anything in particular you’d like to add?” He’s already grabbing things, pretty colours that you just know she’ll love.

“Not that I can think of. Whatever you think is best.” You wander around the store as he works, silently screaming. Even his side profile is gorgeous! But you push the thoughts out of your mind. There’s no way he’s a single. Cute boy who works at a flower shop? No chance.

“They’re finished!” He calls out and you come over to see them. He’s holding a stunning bouquet of flowers so pretty you almost feel like you can’t take them.

“Woah…you’re really good at this.” That makes him laugh, a sound you don’t think you could ever get tired of.

“It’s kinda my job.” He smiles as he hands the flowers over. You reach for your wallet and he shakes me off.

“Don’t bother. This one is on the house.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. I hope your coworker has a good birthday.” His smile is so kind and genuine for a second you’re convinced he’s some type of angel. You wave goodbye as you leave the store, back into the real world that just seems a little more dull than before.

It’s been a while since you’ve seen the cute florist boy. Mostly because you’ve been too nervous to go in there. Getting attached is the last thing you need right now, no matter how pretty his hair is, or how gorgeous his eyes are.

Yep, you’re going crazy.

But you just got fired so what better way to make yourself feel better than buying incredibly expensive flowers?

“Hey! It’s nice to see you again.” He’s still got that adorable smile, but it falls a little when he sees your expression.

“Everything alright?” He asks.

“Yeah I guess…do you have any bouquets that help people pretend they didn’t just get fired?” You smile weakly after your poor excuse for a joke but he just smiles sadly.

“I’ll put something together for you. Do you wanna talk about it?” Something about this man is so comforting that you end up spilling your guts, telling him all about how your boss never liked you, and how you got fired over your first mistake.

By the time you finish the story, he has assembled the most stunning bouquet, filled with pinks and whites and purples.

“Wow…” You reach out to take it but he pulls it back. You shoot him a confused look and he begins to explain.

“I was thinking that I could give them to you some other time. Maybe…tomorrow night? At Enzo’s?”

“Like a date?”

“Yeah. A date. If-if that’s alright with you?” Happiness fills my chest so quickly I almost forget all of the shitty events of today.

“That sounds perfect. Just one question?” You ask.

“Of course.”

“I never caught your name.” His mouth makes an ‘O’ shape and you can’t help but grin.

“I’m Steve.” Huh, cute name. You introduce yourself too and with an exchange of numbers, you head out the door.

On your way home, you even stop to smell the roses.
