Now that you ask me about recent Enstars and Obey Me developments, I have... much to say about them so I'll put them under the cut; brainrot time!!

I have a massive, MASSIVE Enstars brainrot to the point that I even made a sideblog to dump my RyuseiP stuff because I don't wanna overshadow my Obey Me stuff here lol

In case you missed it, there are new albums per unit with new songs and solos

And YEAHHH HappyEle really went and had us adopt 5 new kids just recently and they're adorable! I found myself immediately attached to Yume (the purple-haired one) when he was first introduced in the 9th anniv livestream because we share a birthday, not to mention he also plays piano and does cosplay??

It made me a little giddy about it like did they put my OC on Enstars or something /j what are the odds I suddenly have a buncha things in common with an Enstars character— (Plus coser representation!!)

I haven't read much but based on a few simple translations, the new main story arc involves certain ES idols auditioning for a worldwide(?) dream unit in a show called "4piece" and we even have a new producer!

I think what's interesting about this arc is that it would focus more on the idols' individual strengths outside of their respective units

Also, I think Chiaki's also part of the audition based on how he appeared on the PV they showed in the 9th anniv livestream so I'm looking forward to it~

I'm not sure if you've seen this one too but JPstars' April fools gag this year was so WILDDD they even have a full song for it

They basically collaborated with Yagami Chitose, who is an actual shoujo mangaka artist, for the story and illustrations in the MV

The story itself involves a ton of shoujo manga tropes (including Hajime / the MC somehow bumping into 4 people at once) and it was a fun read lol

You can even change the characters while the text and their voices change accordingly so imagine the opportunities for both yumes and shippers 👀

Unfortunately for Obey Me Nightbringer, I've yet to catch up to the Main Story again because of the card grinding ;w;

But aside from Anniversary and All the Feels, they've been cooking with cards too! It takes a toll on players' funds because you need card dupes for them but the new Premium Picture feature looks so divine?? Don't even get me started on the shower pics—

Even though I was a bit iffy about the sudden story reboot in the new game, I still appreciate some of the details they changed, including MC living with Solomon at Cocytus Hall instead of them staying with the brothers (since it makes a bit more sense that they'd be closer to Sol as a fellow human), and Satan's more evident wrath compared to the OG game

We even get to enjoy random domestic moments with Sol like this one~ Since we pretty much live together with him, we sound like a married couple (though a lot of those moments involve banning him from the kitchen)

One of my favorite things about the new 9th Anniversary song in enstars is how it has a bit where it does that pun/homophone thing that Japan loves to do where it counts up to 9 in the second-to-last verse.

Thank you so much for sending a message to check up on me! I was wrapping up my final classes so things turned out to be far more hectic than I had realised＿(　_ ´⚰︎` )_ Apologies for the mini disappearance - I'll be more or less back on track now.

I've recently caught up with the 4Piece information! I loved watching the introductory video they had with all the voice actors of the new characters (+ Tetora's voice actor as the host)! It was hilarious and very heart-warming seeing their dynamic!

I hope you've been enjoying the 9th Anniversary events and 4Piece as well!

holy shit how long has enstars been on global spotify? they waited so many years

since 9th anniversary so they started adding songs in late april this year! it has been taking them a minute (several months and counting) to make them all available…😭 but like you said they finally added them after waiting so many years so i can’t even be mad at how scuffed the global streaming launch has been lmao

Unpopular opinion time

The Shining Live “April Fools” Joke showed how tonedeaf KLab was.  Its like they want to needle the fans of a certain group and be malicious about it because dang man...you can’t be that stupid to not figure out that there is gonna be a problem with the way you handled this AF Was it “better” than last year?  Well its not as redundant with the same two songs being used so that’s a good thing but damn okay here You’re KLab and YOU KNOW people have been ASKING for a certain thing to happen that borders on annoyance and I get that...trust me when I tell you I freaking get it but they asked for it and for the most part I think they have been nice about it.  So what do you do? NOT WHAT THEY ASKED FOR Now okay I can see the argument being “Well if we DO what these fans want we might get the rest of the player base mad” and trust me I get that wholeheartedly...I really do but on the flip side right what happened was borderline cruel and needlessly complicated I’ll explain the cruel bit part first So half of the the collab is EnStars right?  Alright What I was unaware of was that there was a character named “Eichi” (get it yet) in that verse that happened to be voiced by Midorin OUCH! Now here is the real genius part of the thing They decided to do an hourly release for the story...fine but when they did it there were two problems 1.  The YT videos weren’t voiced for it (the ones in game were) 2.  The Videos and the EnStars parts were in Japanese which isn’t THAT BIG a problem since Ensemble Stars is JP only but when 2/3 parts of the story are that way then the only part you get to read proper IS... YEP...THE UTAPRI PART! It almost feels like people are so willing to accept the cruelty of the situation because...”crossover” that they didn’t care about how that might make other people feel but we’ve come to expect this at this point right? The really aggravating part of the whole thing is there were two ACTUALLY FUNNY pranks that I saw with the whole “Fruit Prince” thing and the one for the “Movie Trailer” for Stand my Heroes that was so blatantly an AF Prank but it was one of the best I had seen in a good minute.  I think TsukiPara had one of the other best ones because they did a thing with the Managers which was funny (and I wish they really had photos but hey I took my gamble to TRY and get one but...ehh stuff happens) NOW...June is coming up as is August.  We still don’t know the status of a little thing called “Dolce Vita” NOR do we know what goodies might be in store as of 9th Anniversary.  Maybe Broccoli and KLab can salvage this but honestly...let’s not hold our breath anytime soon

Reminder! Pretty 5 song "Pretty no susume♡" (Pretty Recommendation) will be released on 26th!

This is the first of the "Ultimate 9" songs that won't be having an MV. They said that some idols that appear in other projects this year, won't be in these Ultimate 9 songs. Whatever that means...? I'm thinking that maybe for example Natsume won't be in these because he was already in both Love Scramble and shuffle?

They also didn't say if all are circle songs and I'm starting to think it's likely they aren't.

Alright!!! Look, I got 7 right for FLARE. Wrong Ra*bit, Eden and Knights member but I had one member from each. :D

The ones I got wrong: Ibara could go to either TORRENT or SPARK imo, Leo to SPARK, Madara to STORM and Nazuna... hmm... no idea, maybe SPARK then?

I'm wondering who will be in which elemental 9th anniversary scouts. Some I'm fairly certain they put in certain groups because of their names, others I put in a group for their colours and some I kinda thought about their roles in the units and a few I just threw somewhere because there was nothing I could use as a base for their group... My guesses:

FLAME: Subaru (confirmed), Kuro, Chiaki, Hiiro, Madara, Leo, Tetora, Koga, Adonis, Ibara, Hinata, Nazuna

TORRENT: Kanata (confirmed), Wataru (first name means ford, port), Yuzuru, Tsumugi, Izumi (first name means water spring), Keito (lotus.. water..), Jun (surname means ripples), Mayoi (last name has kanji for torrent, c'mon), Hokuto, Yuta, HiMERU, Hajime

SPARK: Natsume (confirmed), Tori, Tsukasa, Ritsu, Hiyori, Shinobu, Mao, Aira, Mika, Niki, Rinne, Rei, Tomoya

STORM: Nagisa (confirmed), Arashi (c'mon that's literally her name), Eichi (last name has sky kanji), Sora (first name kanji means air), Souma (his first name has kanji for sound of wind), Tatsumi (last name means strong wind), Kaoru (last name wing/feather + wind), Midori, Makoto, Shu, Mitsuru (also sky kanji and dashu, dashu~), Kohaku

Some of them are probably sooo wrong. Btw, Hiiro and Rinne's surname has sky kanji too but I can't throw them all in STORM plus I think they fit better elsewhere anyway. Also I realize FLAME is just the muscle/martial arts guys and a few others thrown in there... There are a few characters that were really hard to put anywhere and a few I could put in several. I'd like to think HappyEle will do sorting based on the names because they love stuff like that.

EN is still in the middle of 6th anni/Fusionic Stars stuff but I'm already looking forward to 7th/Surprising Thanks because everything in it is so good. The song is fun, outfits are fun, the cards are fun...

Odd numbered Enstars anniversaries in general are better than the even numbered imo. I hope 10th breaks this though because it's a big thing. But with how good 9th cards and oufits are... hmm.
