I could write a Birkenstock x reader fic and people would at least know who he is and maybe 3-10 people would read it but if I ever post an Enshin Akiyama fic I will be the entire target audience and I will have the time of my life with it because I'm very sure not even people who watched the first season of Ao Ashi know who he is (he had a more important role in the Aomori match chapter 240 something and that's kinda all about him so far)

Liking unpopular or background characters in Blue Lock is fine because the fandom is big and at least one other person will like them as well. But liking a character with little appearances from Ao Ashi is basically just me being insane about some random guy, letting my friends know I like him and calling him babygirl without being able to find any fan content of him so I have to come up with everything on my own
