LAON

owner and manager of the Starlight Cafe

single-handedly founded the shop, planned its name and concept, and recruited all of its employees

constantly working on ideas for new menu items or ways to improve the customer experience

a very hands-on manager who often gets mistaken for a regular employee because he works behind the counter so often

he insists it’s vital for him to be involved in the everyday work of the cafe in order to help it become the best it possibly can

which isn’t untrue, but honestly he just really loves interacting with customers as much as possible

DOJIN

a naturally talented barista

invents new drinks on the fly which end up getting added to the permanent menu because people love them so much

not one for much conversation but has the softest smile when he hands over drinks and knows all the regulars’ orders by heart

looks intimidating to new customers until they take a closer look at his uniform and discover a tiny turtle enamel pinned to his apron

asked Laon if they could set up a corner for people to sit and read while they enjoy their drinks

Laon agreed, so Dojin visits the local bookstore every month to keep their shelf stocked with titles he thinks people would find comforting

HAMIN

best latte art the cafe has ever seen

frequently offers to close up even when he’s not scheduled to so he can stay late and practice new designs for the next day

super smiley whenever he notices someone taking a picture of a drink he made

some weeknights when he’s not behind the counter he brings his keyboard and sings for a hour or two

it started out as a one-time occasion to celebrate the cafe’s 100 day anniversary, but the reaction from customers was so positive and Hamin enjoyed it so much they decided to continue it as a regular event

Laon swears they get 50% more visitors if they happen to leave the door open during one of Hamin’s music nights

they leave the door open a lot more now

AVIN

the type to ask customers how their day is going and genuinely be interested in the answer

if you tell him you’re preparing for a midterm or job interview, you can count on him to remember and ask you how it went when you come in again the next week

his apron has a growing collection of pins customers have given to him as gifts, and once they’re on he never removes them

thrives on busy days but personally likes the last shift of the night best, when there are only a few people in the cafe and the atmosphere is cozy and peaceful

in addition to working behind the counter, Avin is also the one in charge of the decorations and ambience of the shop

thanks to him, they partnered with a local florist to get fresh arrangements for their tables every week in exchange for promoting the flower shop (and gifting them the occasional batch of Jinwoo’s homemade cookies)

JINWOO

splits his time between baking pastries in the kitchen and preparing drink orders behind the counter

cheerful and energetic even if it’s 7 o’clock in the morning

usually people who come in that early are still waking up, but they always leave looking a little brighter after talking to Jinwoo

has lots of little habits that customers find endearing without him realizing it, like getting excited whenever someone orders a chocolate-based drink because those are his favorites, and telling them so

was really nervous about making a mistake or spilling something when he first started, but now he’s one of the fastest at fulfilling orders and even got some of his original drinks onto the permanent menu

thinks it’s the coolest thing in the world when a regular remembers his name and asks him how his week was

smiles for the rest of the day every time that happens

J-KID

friendliness level through the roof

asks customers if it’s their birthday and gives them a free cookie even if they say no

“every day is worth celebrating, even if it’s not your birthday :)”

regularly gets in trouble with Laon because of this

good at making conversation but doesn’t pry if it seems like the person is having a tough day, and ends up “accidentally” giving them an extra stamp on their stamp card instead

once he misspelled a customer’s name on their cup so he doodled a heart over it to cover it up

his mistake went unnoticed, and he’d inadvertently discovered a new way to make customers smile, so he started drawing hearts on everyone’s cups after that

GUN

was so shy when he first started working Laon almost wondered if he had to be worried about him, but he quickly proved to be one of the most natural at making conversation and helping customers feel at home

came up with the idea of hosting a board game night, which he plans every week with J-Kid

the customers loved it and it was an instant hit, with more and more people showing up every week

prone to pulling the occasional prank on slow days

usually on Laon

at the same time if someone ever asks him what it’s like working there the first thing he’ll talk about is how great his manager is

he loves his job so much, and this little cafe and the friends he’s made while working there mean the world to him

[7:20pm] “You know what one of my kids told me today?” you asked, making Avin look up from his laptop on the couch beside you.

“What’d they tell you?”

“‘I think Mr. Park likes you, you should take him on a date!’” Avin laughed out loud.

“First-graders...are very observant,” he said with a wry smile.

“Or maybe even first-graders start to catch on when Mr. Park visits my classroom every day during lunch,” you pointed out.

“Yes, well…they were right,” he smiled, scooting closer so he could rest his arm across your shoulders. “Mr. Park does like you.”

Laon - being the last two people in a cafe before closing time, leaving little notes around your apartment to make you smile, coming over at the drop of a hat when you’re having a bad day, quietly holding your hand to let you know that everything’s going to be all right

Dojin - sending you videos of cute animals when you’re sad, switching spots with you on the sidewalk so he can be on the outside, cheering for you the loudest when you go out to karaoke with your friends, knowing that you can always count on each other to be there

Hamin - greeting you with forehead kisses, texting you pictures of things that remind him of you, looking at you with fond eyes when you talk about the most mundane aspects of your day, reminding you always about how lucky he feels to have you in his life

Avin - having deep talks about anything while stargazing on the roof at night, laughing at how ridiculous the other looks when you get caught in the rain without an umbrella, falling asleep on a blanket together under the shade of a tree, always leaving each other’s presence feeling loved and understood

Jinwoo - blushing at your notebook with a smile after accidentally locking eyes with your crush in class, visiting the pet store every weekend to play with the puppies up for adoption, going out of your way to visit new places and try new experiences together, feeling excited about getting to explore the world through each other’s eyes

Jeonghoon - laughing so hard your stomach hurts, hiding around the corner to scare the other when they walk into the room, stealing kisses in the middle of a fierce video game battle to distract you, hugging you tightly when you need it the most

Gun - feeling your heart flutter as soon as you wake up because of a good morning text, getting lost while walking around the city because both of you were too absorbed in the conversation, resting his cheek on the top of your head while waiting in line together, making sure you know you never have to face life’s challenges alone

Shin Kyuhyun (Laon)

Kyuhyun has several different ways of getting jealous.

When you're getting comfortable with his members, he doesn't get too jealous.

Maybe a bit, but he usually doesn't realize it.

Usually he just gets extra clingy.

He doesn't worry too much or get too jealous when it comes to his members.

He's very carefree and trusting of you, so he wouldn't mind you being all giggly on the phone or anything.

If someone were to flirt with you in public, he'd get very upset.

He wouldn't be angry.

He'd watch and listen cautiously if someone was talking to you at the store and he was even a little suspicious.

He probably wouldn't want to tell you he was jealous unless it was really bad.

If it was just someone talking to you, he wouldn't tell you he was bothered. He'd just smile and listen.

But if the person was actually flirting with you, he'd step in.

Subtly, he'd try to distract you.

"Oh, Y/Nie, I just saw something that might interest you," he'd say, ushering you away. He'd barely spare the other person a glance.

He might take your hand or wrap his arms around you to show that you're taken.

He's a bit possessive. Only a bit.

It'd be in his mind all day.

He'd be cuddly and clingy for the rest of the day.

Jeon Yongtae (Dojin)

Dojin is a quieter type when he's jealous.

He's also a little bit easier to be made jealous than his fellow members.

He doesn't mind too much when you get all cozy with his members.

He might be a little, teeny-tiny bit jealous.

But he'd just watch from across the room, not looking away. Watching, observing until you get the hint that he wants you with him.

But if you and him are out in public, and some stranger dares to flirt with you, or even check you out . . .

He gets very, very jealous.

You can see, just by looking at him, that he's jealous.

But if you didn't notice, he'd butt in between you and the other person if they're checking you out.

He's pretty possessive, so he'll make it clear that you're taken and you're his.

He'd probably put his arm around you, or start kissing your shoulder or neck.

You'd probably be confused as to why he's being like this in public.

If the person was flirting with you, he'd be so much more jealous or upset.

He'd maybe step in and confront him, trying to be calm and composed. But you'd be able to tell he was upset.

At home, you'd be able to tell something is off.

He'd be trying to act all tough and unaffected.

But really he just wants hugs and kisses.

Jo Hamin (Hamin)

Hamin baby.

He gets jealous, but not too jealous.

He doesn't mind you being cozy with his members.

But if any of his members dare to playfully flirt with you, he'll interject.

Calmly. Seriously.

Please comfort him afterward.

With a stranger, he'd be a bit more jealous.

He wouldn't want to go confront the other person if they were just checking you out.

Maybe he'd try to catch their eye or glare at them.

But he wouldn't confront them.

But if the person was flirting with you, he would probably interject. 

He'd confront them politely, in front of you.

Well, he'd try to be polite.

Honestly, he's just trying to get the person away, and is too worried about that to worry about being polite.

He'd put his arm around you and smile as nicely as he can.

"Excuse me. Y/N is my S/O, so please stop."

If the person tries again to flirt with you, he will snap and forget to be polite.

"Please. Leave us alone."

You should probably ask the person to step back. For your sake and Hamin's.

Give him a lot of snuggles and kisses and reassurance.

Park Donghyuk (Avin)

Donghyuk would be the most calm outwardly when he's jealous.

And he gets jealous a bit easier than the rest of his members.

He might be feeling very upset when a stranger flirts with you, but he reacts very calmly.

He'd watch from a distance at first, if someone was talking to you..

He'd observe and analyze.

If he was feeling that things were going to far, he'd just try to calmly distract you and pull you away.

"Hey Y/N, let's go," or "I need to show you something." Maybe followed by a polite nod and a cold "sorry if I interrupted anything" to the other person.

He would be calm, but he'd want to get you away from the other person as soon as possible.

If it was one of his members, getting all cozy or even flirty with you, he probably wouldn't do anything.

He'd just watch from the other side of the room until his member notices and toned it down a bit.

Shin Kyuhyun (Laon)

He finds it cute. Easier access for forehead kisses. He would baby you so much if you were shorter than him, but honestly he’d baby you either way. I feel like, depending on the situation, he might tease you a bit, but not too much. He finds it more cute than anything else.

Kyuhyun comes home to see you sitting at the kitchen counter, so focused on the computer screen in front of you that you don't notice his arrival.

He sneaks up behind you and wraps his arms around you. You hum and lean back into his back hug, and he kisses the top of your head.

"Hi, Baby," he hums.

"Hi Kyuhyunnie," you say, smiling up at him. "How was your day?" You turn around in your chair and smile up at him, cupping his cheeks as he smiles down at you.

"Good. Better now that I see you," he says.

Jeon Yongtae (Dojin)

He loves being taller than you. He teases you, but would stop if you ask. He thinks you being tiny is cute. However, he purposely puts things in high places so that you have to ask him for help.

Yongtae watches, amused, from the dining table as you stand on your tip-toes, trying to reach your favorite hat, which sits on the top shelf of the bookshelf. You have no idea how your hat got there--you didn't put it there, as you're too short to reach there--but Yongtae knows. He's the one who put it there. Of course, every time you ask, he says he doesn't know how it got there. His poker face is pretty good, so you accept it.

"Do you want help, Y/N?" he asks innocently. You can hear the smile in his voice, and can tell he's amused. You're still suspicious of whether or not he put it there.

"No," you say stubbornly. After another few seconds of hopelessly clawing at your hat, you realize that your arm just won't stretch enough, and sigh in defeat. "Yes. Please help me, Yongtae."

He smiles and walks over to stand next to you. He plucks the hat from the bookshelf easily and places it on your head.

"Thank you, Yongtae," you hum. "I love you."

He smiles and kisses the tip of your nose from above. "I love you too."

Jo Hamin (Hamin)

He finds you to be the most adorable human ever. I feel like he’d love it when you wear his clothes which are much too big for you because you’d look so tiny and cozy, bundled up like that. He'd love snuggling with you, too. Expect lots of forehead and cheek kithes. Also cute little nicknames.

It's a Hamin's day off, so you two decided to spend the day at home. You two are cuddled up on the couch, you lying against him, wearing one of his larger shirts which is big enough on you that it reaches your mid-thigh. You've stolen so much of his clothes throughout your relationship, but he doesn't seem to mind. You almost suspect he lets you. His arms are wrapped around you, and his hands are holding yours, and a blanket covers the both of you.

"I love you, Mini," he mumbles, halfway through the movie. He presses a kiss to your cheek before turning back to the movie.

"I love you too, Haminnie." You squeeze his hand.

He smiles softly, admiring you. You look so cute and comfy in his oversized clothes and bundled up in the blankets in his arms.

Park Donghyuk (Avin)

He constantly tells you that he finds you cute and adorable and showers you in affection. He's so very sweet to you. And yes, he babies you. He’d kiss and cuddle you and baby you a lot, and his members tease him for it.

You just got off of work and decided to visit ENOi. Besides your boyfriend Donghyuk, you haven't seen any of the members recently.

You enter their practice room, where they're currently dancing to W.A.Y in front of the mirror. Well, not really. The song is playing in the background, but only three of them are even moving to the beat. The other four members--including Donghyuk--are talking about something funny that happened yesterday.

You stand in front of the doorway patiently. When he finally notices your presence, he runs over quickly and wraps you in a hug.

"Hi, Baby," he mumbles, nuzzling his face in your neck. "My Baby."

You can hear the other members snickering, calling the two of you cute. But honestly, you don't mind.

Park Jinwoo (Jinwoo)

Jinwoo would love someone finally being shorter than him, but I don't think he'd tease you as much--though he is happy to no longer be the shortest. He'd tease you a bit, but he would baby you more, regardless of whether you were older or younger than him, constantly calling you cute nicknames and squishing your cheeks.

You visit the ENOi members at their dorm. As you enter, you see some of the members lounging around in the living room. Jinwoo, who is sitting on the couch with Hamin--both staring at their respective phones--hears your footsteps and turns his head to looks at you.

"Ah, Y/Nie, my baby!" he says, jumping to his feet and running over to hug you. He pulls away and squishes your cheek between his hands. "How's my tiny baby today? Good? Have you eaten enough?"

Before you can answer, Hamin calls from where he's sitting across the room, "Jinwoo, you're small, too!" The other members in the room all laugh.

"Yah! This isn't about that, right now!" Jinwoo yells. "This is about my baby Y/Nie."

You laugh and nuzzle his nose with yours. "You are also small, Jinwoo."

"Not you too."

Han Jeonghoon (J-Kid)

Like Yongtae, I feel like he’d intentionally put things in high places just so that you can ask him for help. He also likes seeing you in oversized clothes like sweaters. He’d kiss you from above as much as possible. Forehead kisses, nose kisses, all of it.

"Aww, look at you!" Jeonghoon says, hugging you tight after getting offstage from a performance. You had arrived midway through their performance, and knew that the air conditioning in the building would be turned to super cold, so you came in a large jacket that Jeonghoon had lent to you a long time ago.

Jeonghoon jumps down the stairs and runs over to you and hugs you tightly, lifting you off the ground. "You look so cute in this sweater!"

"It's cold out!" you say. 

"Yes, but you're still tiny and adorable," he insists. "Is this mine?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. You nod.

"I've been looking for this for ages," he says, laughing. "The fact that it's mine makes you so much cuter in it."

Yang Hyuk (Gun)

Hyuk would tease you for being small, but at the same time, he'd baby you. He insists on doing things for you, like carrying your things and helping you with everything. Lowkey he wants to show off how strong or helpful he is.

You just bought a bunch of work supplies. Pens, pencils, sticky notes, a blank notebook. As well as your favorite chocolate and supplies for dinner. You pay as Hyuk packs the bags--three of them-- and picks them all up once you've finished paying, two bags in one hand and one in the other.

"I can carry one, Hyuk," you say. He shakes his head, smiling.

As you guys continue walking, you glance over at his hands, which carry all three bags.

"You know you don't have to carry the bags," you say.

"But I wanna do it for you," he says, poking your cheek with the hand that only carries one bag. "My little baby."

You roll your eyes, but really you find it a bit endearing. You still feel bad, though, for letting him carry all three bags.
