okay so furina's ascension mats boss is something called a hydro tulpa, which is interesting enough on its own in terms of potential lore

but there is a boss that is a reskin of it that is the penultimate boss for the narzissenkreuz story

why did they shelve her was her design too hard to animate did she clip too much like what happened. why did they take my baby. for what reason. i've come to terms with the fact i will most likely never see her again but i wanna know why .

i would've been a mimi main in a different timeline i can tell you that much. c6 triple crowned, everything (she was going to be a 4* iirc so it would've been easier to get cons) i would've given her the enkanomiya shell catalyst....

i wanted her to be friends with the gang too. be part of the resistance and have connections to kazuha and gorou and beidou and visit the city and have just a vibrance that never fades even in the face of adversity - not out of a sense of naive optimism but CHOOSING to find the good things in the world and realizing that love is everywhere and you just have to look in the right places and maybe. maybe everything will be okay. not right away, but eventually.

I'm still thinking a lot about Ion's grave, and then ranking Ion below Orupeusu in terms of "Most Loved" of the Sunchildren

If you go by Ion's grave, there's a lot of sigils around it -- sigils that you may come across while traversing Enkanomiya (I don't really know if it means much of anything, but iirc I think the sigils also looked like the map of Watatsumi Island--). Maybe the sigils were something related to Ion's fortunetelling for his people -- a charm of good luck he'd give to them to give them some assurance against whatever bad fate awaited them

I guess my brain's going a few different ways with this:

Maybe the people gave Ion sigils to commemorate him because of the joy he'd bring with his fortunes for them. To express their love and gratitude for his act of kindness

In the face of all the false fortunetelling he did, the people would choose to neglect Ion instead, meaning that these sigils instead were made by his caretaker to commemorate him when no one will.

On the same note, because of the false fortunetelling,the people would cast aside the sigils given to them by the Sunchild, returning it back to the Sunchild's side at his tomb. Numbers of false promises of a better life than the one dealt to them.

send me a “⭐️” and i’ll use a random thing picker to choose one of my F/Os, and i’ll reply to the ask with a small infodump about my selfship with them! - Alright, for this one, the F/O that was selected was Yoimiya!

Yoimiya is a 5-star playable character in Genshin Impact, and the current owner of her family business, Naganohara Fireworks; fitting her work as a pyrotechnician, she is in possession of a Pyro Vision, which she uses to help make fireworks as well as in combat situations alongside her bow. She is known as the Queen of the Summer Festival in Inazuma, and is very well-liked by many for her energetic and excitable personality. The self-insert I use to selfship with Yoimiya is called Lamia! She also has Pyro elemental powers, although it isn't entirely clear where those come from considering her lack of a Vision, and she fights using a sword in combat. She does not originate from Inazuma, but is currently living there with Yoimiya, helping her out in her fireworks shop. There is something uncanny that can potentially be sensed about her, but she is nevertheless a curious and kind figure who always means well.

Yoimiya and Lamia met some time after Lamia came to Inazuma, as she was first seen on Watatsumi Island before making her way northeast onto Narukami Island. As a wandering traveller that appeared during the Vision Hunt Decree (..despite the nation being closed at that time..), Yoimiya was happy to take Lamia in alongside others she was hiding in her fireworks shop, and the two of them naturally started to become close over time as they got to know each other better and Lamia got to learn more about Inazuma in general from Yoimiya's positive perspective. As an example of the trust the two share, Yoimiya is one of very few people who knows Lamia's true form, as she once unintentionally walked in on Lamia having temporarily shed her disguise in order to hide from people searching for her. While this accidental reveal may have potentially been a serious source of conflict in the growing relationship, it isn't here; Yoimiya doesn't mind it, because she knows who Lamia is really trying to be and supports her trying to live her life like she wants to. Besides, as she might say - when you have a girlfriend that can turn into something the size of a big plushie, you can hug her just like one too! ^-^

I hope that this was alright as a description! Maybe I shouldn't have tried to write it at what is now gone two o'clock in the morning, but.. it's done now! Thank you very much again for sending in the star!!~

she's supposed to be the leader of a resistance army, divine priestess to a slain god, a genius military strategist, allegedly possibly hinted to be a reincarnation of one of the primordial bathysmal vishaps (dragon of water) that is prophesied to return in human form, deeply tied with enkanomiya lore and possibly even with pre-celestia lore if she really is related to the vishaps (the seven sovereigns that reigned before celestia)... she is SO MANY things, such a lore heavy character that I wish she got the same writing focus like albedo and scaramouche and venti and mona

hrmm i think my plan is that after i finish enkanomiya, ill go explore seirai island so i can get the full story on the great thunderbird (and thus kinda finish tsurumi island in a way aside from. getting artifacts for the story) and then spend some time around watatsumi and yashiori island to get more story on orobashi (there's still a side story i havent worked on at all that has to do with that)
