As soon as you walked in the door he could tell something was different. It took him a moment to realise it was your hair.

“Babe! I didn’t know that you dyed your hair *colour you chose*!” He said excitedly. “I dyed it today, do you like it?” You ask.

“Yeah, It looks so good on you!”

Then, he gave you a big hug. Heeseung was really happy since you aren’t that kind of person to change your appearance that often.

Jay/Jongseong~

The only reason he found out about your hair is from your social media post with the caption ‘I just dyed my hair! Y’all like it?’.

He went to go see you at your work during your break and sure enough, it was true. Your hair was a different colour.

“When were you gonna tell me that you dyed your hair?” He asks. “When I got home. Do you like it?”

“It looks good, but I would like to know before social media does.”

Jake/Jayeun~

He was surprised when Layla started barking at you when you came through the door. Usually she greeted you more quietly. Jake noticed why when he noticed the colour in your hair. Layla must not recognize you.

“Your hair! It’s different! Did you dye it?” He asked curiously. “Yep. I thought I would since I work right next to it. Do you like it?” Jake nodded and picked up his phone.

“What are you doing?” You ask.

“Taking a picture.”

Sunghoon~

You didn’t even get to tell him before he noticed it himself when you walked in the doorway.

“You dyed your hair, didn't you? It looks so good!” He said with happiness. “I did, and how did you notice so quickly?” You ask, confused. 

“I’m just quick like that.” 

You playfully roll your eyes at him and take off your shoes.

“But seriously, it looks good. You almost look as good as me.” He says as he winks at you.

You sigh.

Sunoo~

He was picking you up from work when he realised that something about you looked different. Then he realised that your hair was different than how it was this morning.

“Honey, did you do something to your hair? Did you dye it?” He asks as you get in the car. “Yep, I dyed it. Do you think it looks good?” You ask.

“Yeah, *the colour you chose* looks so good on you!” 

You smile and buckle in your seatbelt. You have a good boyfriend.

Jungwon~

He was talking to you over the phone after he got off stage, so he couldn’t see for himself in person, which made him kind of sad. 

“You dyed your hair? Actually?” He asked in disbelief. “Yep, if you want I can send a picture,” you offered. “Please do I want to see it. I bet it looks good,” he replied.

You told him to wait and you took a picture and sent it to him.

“Wow, it does look good, I wish I could see it in person.”

Niki/Riki~

He was shocked to see you dye your hair. You were the person he least expected to do that. So to see your hair be a different colour was big news.

“Did you actually dye your hair? Like, with real hair dye?” He asks in disbelief. “I did, yeah. Do you think it looks good?” You ask.

“No it looks bad,” he says, being sarcastic, “of course it looks good!” He goes to you and gives you a hug. Little do you know that he just took a picture.

You were walking down the hallways to go to your locker, when you spotted your crush walking on the other side of the hallway. Your cheeks turned pink and a smile grew on your face as he passed you.

You opened your locker and picked up your phone (which was inside it) and looked at your notifications. 1 missed call, 4 new texts, 1 new DM on Instagram… wait what?

You looked at who sent it and the username was ‘.-Niki-.’ which meant that it was your crush. Guess what… it was!

You read the DM and it said:

Meet me at the back of the cafeteria at lunch sent at 8:40 am.

Wow… your crush wants to talk to you!

You grab your stuff from your locker and head to your next class, thinking about him on the way there.

After class, you make your way to the cafeteria and look at everyone until you see Niki, who is standing at the back of the room. You walk towards him with an exciting feeling rushing through your veins.

“Hi niki,” you begin, “why did you want to talk to me?”

He lifts his head up to look at you and sits down at a table. From instinct, you decide to sit down next to him.

“I was just wondering if you wanted to be my friend,” he says, “ I don’t have that many friends and you seem pretty chill.”

Your eyes widen. You didn’t expect this at all.

“Uh, sure! I’ll be your friend.” You reply.

You spend the rest of lunch talking with him and getting to know him, and he was getting to know you.

Fast forward 4 months…

You guys are now close friends who hang out everyday after school (if you can). Your feelings for him never went away, though. 

You kept on thinking that you should shoot your shot and today you were going to do it.

It was a free period so you thought now would be the perfect chance.

You went to go find him, but your heart sank. His arm was around one of the most popular girls in school. You went to turn around but Niki called out to you.

“Y/n! Come over here.”

You didn’t want to but you found yourself turning back around and walking towards him.

“Hi,” you say, trying to sound happy.

 “I wanna introduce you to my girlfriend.” he says with a smile. He was about to speak but you could feel tears coming so you excused yourself and ran outside. You sat underneath a tree and cried.

A few minutes later it started to rain but you didn’t move. You sat there, getting more wet overtime until you decided to go back inside and dry off. 

When you walked out of the girls bathroom after getting changed, you saw him (Niki) talking with his girlfriend with a serious and guilty face. A minute later, she ran off into the bathroom. You could hear her sobbing.

“Hey, Niki!” you called out to him, “what was that about?”

He sighed and sat down with his back flat against the lockers. “I broke up with her,” he replied.

“What? Why? How long have y’all been a couple? What did she even do?”

“She didn’t do anything, and we’ve only been a couple for a week. She was so obsessed with me and I started to realise that I like someone else.”

“Really? Who?”

“I don’t want to say,” he said, avoiding eye contact. “I won’t judge. Can I tell you who I like?”

Oops. You didn’t mean to say that last part.

“Sure, who is it?”

You felt nervous. Should I lie? you thought.

“Guess.” you say.

“I don’t want to guess though.” he complained.

“Fine. It’s you.”
