“Nishimura Riki! Why weren’t you picking up my calls? I got so worried about you! Which other girl were you with, huh?”, you said, annoyed and mad.

“Yn, baby, my phone was on silent, so I didn’t hear it ringing! I was getting a coffee and some stuff for you from that cafe that we both love, and after class ended, I never put my phone off silent, that’s it! And no, there is no other girl except you, do you really not trust me at all?!”

you went silent. Your overthinking and insecurities made you feel this way but there was no way you could tell him about those now, of all times. So you just kept silent, trying to blink away the tears of regret forming in your eyes.

Riki, noticing this, engulfs you in his embrace, his cologne’s scent enveloping you, letting you cry into his favourite hoodie. He pats your back as you sob into the crook of his hoodie, the height difference letting him weave his hand through your hair, soothing you as best as he could, but he didn’t know that his presence alone would have been enough for you to feel better. “Shhhh, it’s okay baby, I’m right here, you’re my one and only and the only girl in my life that I’ll love the way I do…” he whispers, his voice slowly calming you down.

He pulls out of the hug, wiping your tear stained cheeks with his thumb, softly tracing them. You look into each others eyes with a sparkle in them, showing how much he loves you and how much you love him as well.

He leans in, his lips interlocking with yours, lips moving against each other with a sort of passion that had you craving for more. You place your hand on his neck, pulling him impossibly closer to your body. You pull away, breathless, before going in again…

it was definitely safe to say that you were both the most down bad lovers the universe had ever seen, and it seems like it was always meant to be that way…

Strangers

(I just stole the name from the song Strangers by Kenya Grace, it’s not actually related to the song!)

my work for the Polaroid love event @lilacnini and @nishions are having!

pairing: nishimura riki x fem!reader genre: angst and some fluff at the end wc: idk tw: breakups, strangers to lovers, pda, lemme know if there’s more.

“Let’s break up.”, your now ex boyfriend tells you. You feel the tears welling up in your eyes, threatening to spill. You bring your hands up to your face and wipe them away quickly before responding. “I’ll come get my stuff tomorrow morning.”, before you walked out of his apartment.

The second you closed the door behind you, you broke down as you started walking wherever your feet took you. You ended up at the park where you used to visit when you were sad or angry. Sitting on the benches always calmed you down. So you made your way to them and sat down, putting your head in your hands before a waterfall started pouring out of your eyes, as you sniffled.

Now, Riki was also at the park, to relax after studying for the entire day straight. He saw you crying on the benches and immediately went up to you. He didn’t know who you were, or why you were crying, but he just hated seeing people cry. It made him feel some kind of guilt, even when he wasn’t the one who made them cry nor was he even in their life.

He gently put his hand on your shoulder, and softly said “excuse me miss, uh I know that this might be a bit personal but uh, I saw you crying from across the playground and I wanted to help you out… so if I may ask, why are you crying? I’m not trying to be nosy but I just hate seeing people cry…”

You lift your face up out of your hands, revealing your puffy eyes, tear stained cheeks and dry lips. You sniffle before you give him an answer. “M-my boyfriend, we’ll n-now ex boyfriend, he started arguing with me and he m-made it look like my fault when all I d-did was ask him if h-he was okay. And he broke up with me after like a year and a half.”

You start to feel the tears well up in your eyes again. You shut your eyes tight, trying to stop them but they spill anyways. He pulls you into his embrace, warming you up, as you cried into this complete stranger’s jacket. He waits until you stop shaking to say “Are you okay miss uh…” he pauses, not knowing your name. “I’m yn. What’s your name?” You reply softly, still feeling sad. “Riki, Nishimura Riki.” He says with a smile, which made the corners of your lips turn up.

He only noticed how pretty you were now, too busy consoling you before to notice. Even though you just cried, you looked like a goddess to him. Little did he know, you were thinking about how handsome he was at that very moment.

The gap between the two of you was just a few inches, as you stared into each other’s eyes, your head in his chest as he was hugging you not too long ago. The gap started getting smaller as you both leaned in, closing the space in between the two of you as your lips met, moving against each other slowly as if nothing else was around you.

You closed your eyes to feel the electricity speeding through your veins as your lips moved against his. The loud beating of his heart mixed with the butterflies in your stomach was enough for you to know that he was the one for you and you were the one for him.

Who would’ve thought that your ex breaking up with you would have led to you meeting the right person exactly when you needed him?

A/N AAAH IM SRY I WAS LISTENING TO Sabrina Carpenters ‘Feather’ from her ‘emails I can’t send fwd’ album and um… I JUST HAD TO MAKE THIS

At first, when you and Jay got together about a year ago, the amount of times you both said ‘I love you’ each day was a lot, but recently, you’ve noticed how he started growing really distant more often than not, and at first, you just shrugged it off and though of it as ‘maybe he was just tired or stressed or something’

But the more it continued, you started to realise that maybe he is doing it on purpose but the thought itself would bring all of the most terrible scenarios into your mind and the thought of them being real really scared you, so, even though you knew there was something wrong, you decided to keep it to yourself.

The signs of him cheating were getting higher in number - how he would just hum after you would tell him that you love him, how he almost never even held your hand, let alone kissed you, and oh, the way he started pushing you away a bit whenever you would be next to him… These were the most telltale signs of cheating but you never thought that he could do something so bad to you, but you were wrong.

You took his phone from his hands to show him something but the notification that he got was your breaking point. It read:

Baby ❤️ - Babe when are u come to me and break up with that dumb y/n ?

Your breath hitched as hot tears started streaming down your face. You looked up at jay and asked “how long have you been with her?”, in a very breaky voice. “About four months…” he replies with a whisper.

‘I am so sorry for your loss’

”Well, Jay, you gained one person but you lost another one as well”, was the last thing you said before you got up to go get all of your stuff, every single thing and not before long, all of your stuff was packed into the small suitcase you had at his place. You picked up your sunglasses and your phone, and walked out of his apartment without another word.

‘ i slam the door, I hit ignore, im sayin “no, no, no, no, no more” ’

You could hear him chasing after you but you just continued walking, but even when he caught up to you, you continued walking and didn’t say a word, but the second you got into your apartment and locked the door, you fell to the floor and started sobbing. you pulled out your phone and blocked his number, and any of his friends numbers that you had. You had never felt a heartbreak this bad, but you knew this time, there was no jay there to comfort you anymore…
