My mum who just fled the Vietnam war and arrived late 70s when Malcom Frazer was PM was given the option to study at uni for free (she didnt because of filial piety which is why I fucking hate it culturally) as a refugee and had decent grades. Even when my sperm donor who struggled with school and was a south Viet conscript had vet support + refugee support if he wanted to pursue education (he didn't because he was a cunt + undiagnosed ADHD and addiction issues).
Now, if you're a refugee, you literally need to cough up your own money for that. And have a support network to boot, esp if you bring your family and children/dependents with you. Since those programs my parents had access to have their funding slashed by a fuckton.
Me, their spawn several generations later and born in this country? Had to cough up only $23k for student loans (not incl. inflation since HECS loans index not via interest but via inflation), and I graduated at over a decade ago. And I've been looking to go back to uni again for a career change and that amount is for a year and a half of the degree I was planning (not to mention the hardship scholarship I can qualify for has not scaled up for inflation since I was in uni either). And I did a double degree that wasn't in medicine for that $22k over ten years ago.
So yeah. I have an axe to grind with those politicians who got free education but then scrapped it for votes and to fatten the checks of their rich besties.
#refugees have it fucking worse now than before#please for the love of god lobby for more foreign aid and support for refugees#even the bare basics of refugee programs like english courses have their funding slashed so badly#also countries whether last few decades like the US and Australia or historically like the UK severely reduce refugee intake too#like these countries fuel war over generations and say no to people fleeing these wars#please donate to local grassroots refugee advocacy groups and support groups they often rely on donations#nerozane rants#i dont talk about Aussie politics because it makes me angry and then depressed and i cant really afford to have that mood drop#its why i dont talk politics in general aince its easy to just feel hopeless and just sleep for days which i cant do

English Reading and Writing Programs for Kids: Fun English Learning and Online Classes in Australia
In todayâs fast-paced, globalized world, proficiency in English has become essential for children to succeed academically and socially. Whether it's developing reading skills or mastering writing techniques, parents are constantly seeking the best ways to enhance their kids' language capabilities. For families in Australia, English Classes for Kids in Australia have gained significant attention due to the growing demand for flexible and effective learning methods.
In this blog, we'll explore the variety of English reading and writing programs for kids, discuss the benefits of fun English learning for kids, and look into online English lessons for kids with a spotlight on Kiya Learning, a platform that provides top-tier educational resources for children in Australia.
Why English Proficiency is Important for Kids
The ability to communicate effectively in English not only helps children excel in school but also opens doors to future opportunities. Mastery in reading and writing can significantly boost a childâs overall cognitive development. Moreover, learning English early allows kids to:
Expand their vocabulary and enhance comprehension skills.
Improve cognitive abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Increase opportunities for future careers, both in Australia and internationally.
Understanding this, parents are focusing on engaging their children in reading and writing programs that promote strong foundational skills in English.
English Reading and Writing Programs for Kids
When considering English reading and writing programs for kids, itâs essential to find structured, well-rounded programs that engage children while meeting curriculum standards. Such programs help children develop skills in areas such as:
Phonics: Learning the connection between letters and sounds.

Creative Writing: Encouraging self-expression and storytelling.

Fun English Learning for Kids
The phrase fun English learning for kids highlights the growing emphasis on teaching methods that prioritize engagement and enjoyment. While traditional methods of rote memorization and textbook-heavy learning can sometimes turn children off, modern approaches to language learning focus on:
Gamification: Using games and interactive activities to teach language concepts.
Storytelling: Encouraging children to create and share their stories to spark creativity.
Visual Learning: Using videos, images, and multimedia to reinforce learning points.
Why Fun Learning Matters
When children enjoy learning, they retain information more effectively. Fun learning not only helps in keeping the child engaged but also creates positive associations with education, making them more enthusiastic about school and homework. In Australia, many institutions and platforms like Kiya Learning have embraced these modern, fun-based approaches to help children learn English.
How Kiya Learning Creates Fun Experiences

Educational games that reinforce vocabulary and grammar lessons.

This approach helps children see English not just as a subject but as a fun, creative outlet for expression.

This flexibility ensures that the learning process is engaging and effective. A strong foundation in core subjects is essential for future academic success. Home tuition can help bridge any knowledge gaps, ensuring your child is well-prepared for exams and competitions. It also provides opportunities for enrichment activities, such as hobby classes or language learning, to broaden their horizons.
Flexibility and Convenience Home tuition offers unparalleled flexibility. You can choose the tutor, the subjects, the timings, and even the location â your home. This convenience eliminates the stress of commuting and allows for a more relaxed learning atmosphere.
Choosing the Right Tutor Selecting the right tutor is crucial for the success of home tuition. Look for someone who is qualified, experienced, and patient. A good tutor should be able to create a rapport with your child and make learning enjoyable.

"Him" | LN4
Parings: Lando Norris x bestie!reader.
Summary: Oblivious idiots to lovers. That's what Max said.
Word count: +2,7k.
Warnings: nooone just pure fluff and some language hehe. Not a native english speaker so there could be (so many) errors. Not proofread.
Author's note: AAAAAAA i loved writting this one 𼚠Dont forget to comment, like or reblog! And follow me so we can be friends :3 (and drink mate together!)
MASTERLIST
âYou only say that because you fancy him, y/n. You can't play with meâMax said out of nowhere while talking about the whole Lando drama and his fourth championship at Danny Ricâs house. Your three have been best friends for quite some time now. Actually, you have been friends with most of the grid for a couple of years now. They were like family to you and recently, you moved countries to live and study in Monaco and be able to spend more time with your friends.
âWhat have you just said motherfucker?â you acted offended. Nethertheless it took you by surprise that he said such a thing when you have never talked about Lando and your feelings for him with him nor danny. But Max knew you too well to already know the whole story. Of course Danny laughen and you could feel the heat going up your face. You feel exposed so you try to cover up by drinking another sip from your glass of white wine. You thank god it was in the privacy of Danny's house and not some random bar for everyone to hear.
âOh câmon y/n, i think itâs pretty too obvious by nowâ max continued noticing the panic and surprise on your face.
âYeah, it is obvious and cute to see how you drool, staring at him everytime he talks. And not to mention you eat him alive at races when he is all sweaty -â danny continued the torture but you stopped them both making them laugh.
âJust stop!â you said âyou guys are impossible!â your face was red and anxiety took over you for a moment.you sighed defeated. âTo be honest with you, yeah, I do like him. But lets be real, im nt even his type at allâ you said remembering how he was kissing magui, that model he fucks now and the, kind of a situationship, in front of your fucking face the whole night a few weeks ago. âAnd even as impossible as it sounds, if there was an actual chance for me with him, we wouldn't work either. I'm complicated. And he doesn't see me like that. He never did. And i'm sure that won't change like everâ you added just convince yourself of everything you said. It was impossible, right? There was no chance in this universe for him to see you like that. You are so far from what he used to date. It's just an innocent crush. Youâll meet someone, right? You saw Max denying with his head.
ây/n, i know you are not the most confident human being i know but be fucking for real, you are not complicated. And everything you said it's nonsense. You are fun to be around, you make him laugh until he pisses himself, you give him his favorite things, you bake him cookies and pies, you listen to him when he is sad, you are like the bestest person next to him. And let me tell you, I have no doubts he is into you as much as you are. It's in your eyes guys. You love each other more fondly than you want to admitâ he said leaving you speechless for a moment and with a mess of confusion around your head. You wanted to believe him but at the same time you canât.
âMic drop, sirâ Danny said and they both laughed. You smiled but rolled your eyes in disbelief.
âI wishâ you finally said, making Max roll his eyes.
âTwo oblivious idiots, can you believe it danny?â Max said ironically and Danny followed him.
âI see it mate. It's sad. I wanna cryâ he said.
âYou guys are impossible." You declared to go back to your trivial talk about cats and australia barbecue.
(...)
It was a beautiful saturday. You were thankful Ria said yes to accompany you to buy a new outfit for tonight's party. Martin Garrix was in town and lando invited you all to his friend's show. Coffees in hand, you were chatting about everything and anything.
âSo the plan is a sexy outfit just to impress your boy?â she teased and you rolled your eyes.
âWhy is everyone so obsessed with the idea that I like lando? As if he would care what I wear or notâ you said, a little irritated. You just wanted to conquer someone else tonight to forget about all of this and move one. You knew it was impossible that Lando liked you back so why be stuck in it? You were gonna dress up and doll up and conquer whoever you may please. That was your masterplan.
âGirl, you need to relax. I say it first hand: he cares a lot fucking much. He likes you. I just know.but you two are too dumb to accept itâ she said raising her shoulders.
You felt so confused once again. These were Lnados friends who knew him just like you did. First it was Max and Danny and now it is ria. You didn't want to fool yourself. And at the same time you wanted him to know for the longest time. You wanted him to notice you. And you also knew him and you knew how he is with girls and if he liked you then he would've told you by now.
âRia, dont play with meâ you begged. Concern showed in your voice. She gave you a gentle hug by your side.
âI won't ever do that to you y/n. I would never in a million years forgive myself if I did. You're my friend and I just want you to be happy. Believe meâ her voice was soft and sweet. You just smile and change the subject. You didn't want to discuss this anymore. Nor did you think you could handle it.
(...)
Saturday night finally came and so did the margaritas you so dearly adore when you needed to forget reality. You were pretty tipsy by now. You met Franco Colapinto and you didn't even know he was invited but oh god he was so fun to be around. You've Been talking to him the whole night about whatever to be honest.and yeah, he looked really hot tonight by the way. You felt lucky he even looked at you and so you followed around.
You bumped into Max at the bar table after ordering yet another margarita. He looked at you a little tipsy as well.
âSo you replaced lando for an argentine prince, huh?â He teased you.
âOh shut the fuck up verstappen. Were in publicâ you said going back to the barman who was handing you your precious margarita drink. He rolled his eyes.
âBe careful. Lando's not happyâ he said and disappeared into the people holding his vodka with red bull. Weird mix but he was loyal to his employers i guess.
You came back to where Franco was waiting for you to be back. He looked so cute under the lights in that white shirt he was wearing. And speaking of white shirt you saw Lando talking to him. You cursed yourself right there. You may or may not have ignored him the whole night. But you just couldn't face him after what all your friends said. You just didn't want to be tempted by his pretty shiny green eyes and his mouth. Oh what you'd give up just to taste his lips.
âOh there is the missing girl,â Lando said, looking at you when you arrived and smiling nervously. The tension established between you two even Franco noticed it.
âGuess it is my turn to go to the bar. Be right back, guysâ he said and left the two of you alone. You took a sip from your glass avoiding his sight.
âWhat's wrong with you?â he said kind of offended? Anger could be clearly heard in his voice. You sighed not knowing what to answer.
âWhat do you mean lando?â you decided to play the fool. You wanted to run away. His eyes were intimidating you.
âOne day we watch movies together and bake cookies and the other you ignore me for several days and even flirt with another dude straight to my face?â what he just told you took you by surprise. You frowned, confused at his statement. The tension was burning your throat. He got closer and so you finally faced him. You looked at him. His face straight and his eyes dark with a little sparkle. You couldn't read what was going on inside him. Maybe he was just as confused as you were. âYou look too pretty in that dress to be talking to him and not meâ you could breathe his warm breath tasting tequila mixed with lemon. You swallowed hard. Your insides exploded. what was happening? He grabbed your waist and pulled you closer to him. His touch burns your skin sending shivers down your spine. This was actually happening? Your hands were shaking. You really thought about what to tell him. A devilish smile appeared in his face when he thought he left you speechless. But you weren't ready to let him win.
âWell, for your information, I'm single and I can talk to wherever my vagina pleases so that shouldn't be none of your business. Also, why would I talk to you if you have been talking with more than one girl tonight? I'm a selective lady. What can I sayâ you smiled innocently.
He bit his lip. He tightened his grip around you. More possessive. More irresistible. Your innocent smile turns into a triumph smile. âso if you dont mind iâll keep talking to Franco and luckly fuck him. Have a good night Landitoâ you said provocatively leaving lando hanging into his words as you pulled away and walked away from him. His brain is malfunctioning.
And as you promised you kissed and fucked Franco Colpinto that night.
(...)
It was already the next sunday and Lando had disappeared. There was nowhere to be found. He didn't reply to your texts nor your calls. He became just dead silent. That made you feel even more confused than you already were. What did it mean what happened at the party? What were his intentions? Why didn't you kiss him? You were torn into feeling guilty and stupid at the same time. Like you had an actual chance with him but you didn't take it. And you didn't even know why. You hated yourself so much for that. How stupid.
Max, Lando's best friend, invited you over along with Pietra and Lando. You were cooking some vanilla flavored cookies with chocolate chips. The famous crumble cookies. Lando has been pretty much ignoring you. And you have been really quiet. Very unusual both ways. The tension was irritating. Max and Pietra tried to play it cool but it was very uncomfortable. When Lando came back from the bathroom, Max took him into the terrace and you stayed with pietra inside in the kitchen doing your stuff.
âBabe, what happened between you two?â she sounded genuinely worried. You sighed stressed.
âTo be honest with you, I don't know. After a weird moment at the party last Saturday, he has been ust ignoring me. I didn't know if he was even alive if Max didn't invite us here. Very childish in my opinion but what can I say? I Didn't face him either.â you explained and pietra frowned her eyebrows.
âYou need to talk honey. You need to tell himâ she said, sobbing in your arms. You pressed your lips together looking outside through the glass door straight to lando seriously talking to max.
(...)
After the worst and most traumatic hang around with Max and Pietra - the cookies were great by the way - Lando offered to give you a ride and you said yes. Probably the worst decision of your life because the tensi could be cut by a knife and it was hard to breathe of how dense the air was inside the car. His radio was playing Jmaes Blunt âyouâre beautiful". It was one of your favorite songs. How pretty was to you to enamour someone just by existing in the subway going to work or going back from university. You just romanticized that idea. You started mumbling the lyrics in a whisper just to not disrupt his comfort. But after a few seconds he turned off the radio and you looked at him weirded out.
âI can't do this anymore,â he said, parking his car on the side of the road. Anxiety kicked you. You licked your lips looking at your hands and he was just starting to nowhere outside his car window.
âI really like you y/n. I am in love with you in fact. And dim so stupid i realized about it when i saw you with Franco kissing. His hands touching you grossed me out. It felt wrong because that should've been me - not himâ he finally looked at you. What he just said took you by surprise and you wanted to cry but holded inside. You looked back at him. The knot in your throat was unbearable.
âWe are idiots,â you said, remembering what Max said to you a couple of months ago.âBecause I'm in love with you. I was too afraid to tell you and ruin what he had. Losing you terrifies me. And to be honest I just thought you wouldn't even look at me that way. I never felt pretty enough for you, I don't know whyâ when he heard you say that last sentence his heart sank.
âI always felt you were out of my league to be honest. Please, y/n, you're gorgeous, and funny as fuck, and intelligent, and sweet and such a great person. You're almost perfect. Don't ever talk about you like that. I'm just an idiot. A normal stupid ass dude. Don't compare yourself like that ever againâ he said feeling a little guilty for you to feel that way even though it was not his fault.
You gave him a soft smile nodding.âyou know? I can't believe every single friend of yours told me for months that you liked me and I just couldn't believe it. How dumb I gotta be. So I'll fight the intelligent compliment of yoursâ you said, making him laugh.
âBut let's be honest, who thinks straight when they are in love?â he said with the most precious smile and sparkly eyes looking at you so fondly. You knew you had heart eyes in your eyes.
âFair pointâ you said, smiling widely. And you giggled out of nervousness. He did too.
Two kids in love. You dreamed about this day for so many years. You just hoped that it wasn't another dream because it felt like one. And without asking, Lando took you out of your self doubt and inner conversion pressing his lips into yours in the most felt kiss you have ever given. The man that you are Lando norris. You cupped his face on your hands making the kiss more intimate and passionate. A kiss you two wanted to give for so long. You said everything in that kiss. You just knew this was it. This was the start of the most exciting and magical love story. And it was yours.
It was him. It has always been him. Lando. Your best friend. Him and no one else by your side.
(...)
Your eyes filled with tears of joy. You were at the wedding of one of your best friends: max verstappen. Lando was holding your hand gently and so dearly. They were speaking their vows and everything was so emotional. You were such a sensitive soul. Lando loved that about you. So pure in emotions. So vulnerable yet so strong and brave. That was you and watching the isle,he knew it was you who was gonna be there with him when the moment came around. The bride kissed the man and you two cheered the new wife and husband of the group. You looked at Lando for a moment knowing he was the love of your life and it was gonna be you two there one day.
What you did not expect was to take in your own hands the wifeâs bouquet announcing you were next in line to get married. Youcelebrated in happiness and laughter around your friends and Lando. You kissed him so fondly.
âI love you bestieâ you said between his lips grabbing him by the neck, the bouquet in one of your hands.
âI love you bestie, foreverâ he said with heart eyes hugging you looking at you with love in every fiber of his body.
âForever and alwaysâ you assured him.

âBreakfast, of course a full English, get you all set for the day and make sure youâve got all the protein to see you through till lunch. Then youâve got your fave Ham Pesto and Mozzarella Sandwich for lunch. peter.bonn: it was so nice, canât wait to come back!
fan1: Iâm living for this series, not the rich men racing!
fan2: this is so cute that she cooks for him!
âYou know, the boys keep saying you need to start bringing it in for them aswellâ he chides as you get into the car.
âWhat am I expected to cook for the 5000 now? I donât think so, thatâs why they have a paid for hospitalityâŚâ you groan, waking up early just to prepare Peter some food was exhausting you couldnât imagine getting up to make it for more people!
âMaybe Toto should hire you as head chef here!â He grins and you laugh at the thought. You, working in Mercedes Catering?
âBaby ⌠you know I have a ⌠Michelin Star right?â you offer in confusion.
âOh so your below working for Mercedes now are you?â He frowns, faking his offence on the matter.
âOh stop being a whiny baby Pete!â You scold lightly hitting his arm, making him recoil and sigh before pulling you into a big hug.
âIm lucky you donât have to be there 24/7. What would I do without youâ he laughs.
âProbably starve as youâd forget to eat!â You hum in thought.

oscarpiastri: thank you for the fairy bread Y/N, LN understands the hype now
-> landonorris: donât tell Jon, he said I couldnât have any âŚ
-> y/user: and rat out my second grid son, no way!
danielricciardo: brought back childhood memories! Thanks for coming all the way to VCARB for delivery!
-> y/user: you are welcome Dani! đŚđşđ¨
âThank you for the fairy bread!â Oscar said pulling you into a hug as you came back to get your container from the McLaren garage, seeing it fully empty.
âEveryone enjoy? Even though I felt like a child making it?â You laugh knowing it wasnât exactly a chef thing to make but Oscar had asked for it, and who were you to deny the literal son you had adopted since he started.
âYeah, Lando hadnât ever tried it and I made it for Lily once to prove to her it was a real thing we ate but the bread kinda ended up being soggy, she preferred yours a lot moreâ he laughed back and you continued to talk about racing, cooking, life and everything else that just came up.
Halfway through that conversation Lando joined pulling his grid mum into a massive hug and asking her to bake him some cake or make the chicken wraps.
Fun fact, Y/N actually invented the chicken wrap for Lando. She became Landoâs private chef for a while when he lived in the UK, and he wasnât ⌠well I mean heâs Lando and if anyone expects him to know even know to turn on an oven you are sorely mistaken.
Eventually a group of drivers were around the woman, and it took Peter and Lewis forcing their way through to get her to come back.
âYouâve been busy!â He smiles nodding his head to the now dispersing group.
âYeah, just talking to the kids!â You grin, nodding in the McLaren twins direction who were now messing around with each other.

âYou were amazing in that interview baby!â He says twirling you around as he came to pick you up on the Saturday evening. You had unfortunately missed qualifying, but you were excited to hear about your husbands day.
âThank you, how was qually?â You ask.
âCould have been better, could have been worseâ he admits looking down. He then tells you all about his frustrations with the car this season and he feels pretty helpless when it comes to advising Lewis who is getting more and more hot headed as the season progresses.
âWell I made your favourite!â You grin showing him the famous Victoria Sponge youâd made on the cooking show.
âOh fuck, I love you!â He grins before directing you over to the car to get you both back to the hotel as soon as possible so he can have some of the delicacy in the tin on your lap.

peter.bonn: best waffles ever đ§
âThank you, I think I really needed that meal! As much as love the differentiation with this global skills challenge. I needed something to remind me of home! The waffles were perfect. And my favourite Sandwich? I canât wait to see what youâve got planned for Monaco next week!â He grins happily. Loving that you were cooking him something for every race.
âOoo that reminds me. I picked you up theseâ you grin. Out from your bag you pull out a box of American Candy that he always wanted whenever you guys were in the states.
âIn Moderation okay? Toto will murder me if he knows all these desserts are happening!â You smile kissing him before placing the sweets in his hand.
You had big plans for Monaco and you couldnât wait!

Please would you be able to write an awfc x teen!reader fic based on the photos of the girls playing Aussie rules today in training? Maybe a bit of annoying younger sister energy (kind of like kyra)! I love you stuff thank you for all of it :)
not completelyy happy with this but it was something different to try! drop kick II awfc x teen!r
"oh you're not bringing that are you?" steph sighed as you stretched over to grab the bright red ball from her back seat. "yeah! why not?" you grinned as the two of you stepped out of her car.
"well because we don't play afl we play football." steph shook her head, though she knew better than to even try and argue the case knowing all too well how stubborn you were.
"then it'll be a fun learning experience for the girls! wheres your australian spirit steffy?" you gave her a toothy grin, the older girl clearing her throat as you spun around. "forgetting something?" steph raised her eyebrow and subtly nodded to your bag.
"oh! yeah that might help." you grinned, jogging back and grabbing it, kissing stephs cheek in thanks who pushed you off with an amused roll of her eyes.
"all this time off and she's forgotten what sport we play!" caitlin teased watching you stuff the ball with some difficulty into your gym bag but eventually succeeding, ruffling your hair as you smacked her hand away.
"sorry hard launch i couldn't hear you over the massive closet of your latest relationship?" you cupped a hand over your ear as steph snickered and you grinned, though catching the look which flashed across caitlins face you wasted no time sprinting off.
"ya could have four legs and i'd still outpace you foordy!" you yelled over your shoulder as she gave up chasing you, pausing to fall back into step with steph and flipping you the finger.
"i'll get you later skippy just you wait! i know where you live!" caitlin yelled menacingly after you, and of course she would considering you bounced between her place and stephs, not allowed to get your own as much as you'd begged and pleaded.
you were so busy gloating you didn't watch where you were going and wheezed as your body slammed into someone elses. "speed racers back in town then! who we runnin from now?" jen grinned, hauling you up and over her shoulder.
"i've missed these delightful walks of ours jb." you patted her back affectionately feeling her body vibrate with laughter as you flipped caitlin the bird before jen turned a corner, earning yourself a disappointed look from steph.
"lee!" you called out happily as the two of you entered the change rooms and you spotted her sitting at her cubby dressed for training, the blonde looking up from her phone as jen put you down. "you're back training properly??" the taller girl stumbled a little at the speed in which you crashed into her for a hug.
"much as i can be. missed you skippy!" the blonde ruffled your hair, kissing your cheek and shoving you over toward lia who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, wrapping you in another tight hug.
"hi wally! happy new year." you mumbled into her shoulder making her laugh. "happy new year winzig, did you have a nice break?" the swiss woman walked you toward your cubby which was between kyra and vics.
"yes! god i miss australia so much already. the beaches, the tan, the food, my family. its cruel that i come from warm sunny beautiful summer to this, english winter fucking sucks!" you huffed unhappily, wincing as a hand collected the back of your head.
"language little miss. thats a fiver!" beth wagged her finger at you with a stern look as you rolled your eyes and hugged her girlfriend instead causing her to scoff. "what? you know i am her favourite." viv shrugged as beth made a noise of disbelief and you sent her a smug smile.
you hadn't even separated from the pair for more than five seconds before a body hurtled into you sending you flying, kyras body latched onto you as stina hurried to grab you, stopping you from hitting the floor.
"get off me you rat!" you wrenched off the girls hands and sent stina a grateful look who gave the pair of you an amused smile, turning back to her conversation with amanda.
"rat! you're the little rat, did you forget about the pictures of-" kyra started as your eyes widened and you hastily covered her mouth. "you swore on calvins life you would take that to the grave." you growled quietly, pulling your hand away in disgust as kyra licked it, wiping it on her jersey.
"but i'm the child? grow up cooney-cross." you scoffed, letting out a yell as again kyra leapt onto you, this time successfully taking you down to the ground as the two of you rolled around wrestling until you were seperated by leah and steph.
most of the girls having filed out toward the pitch and steph impatiently tapping her foot in waiting you hurried to get your boots on, grabbing the afl ball out afterward.
"you can't bring it to training." "why not?" "well-" "see, you can't even think of a good reason stephanie."
and with that you tucked it under your arm and strode out of the change rooms as steph groaned. "can you see any greys jenny? she's been back for three days and its already falling out from the stress!" steph huffed gesturing to her hair as the tall scottish woman chuckled and slung an arm over her should.
"what is that!" vic pulled a face as you appeared with the foreign looking ball. "aussie rules ball!" you beamed, kicking it at kyra who dove to catch it, earning yourself the attention of a few more of the girls who looked on curiously.
"right i'm game. give us a go then skippy!" leah clapped as you tossed her the ball and explained how to hold and position it to be drop kicked. "yeah yeah its a ball, i'm an athlete. i got it!" she brushed you off as you held your hands up and took a few steps back.
you slumped into lotte who appeared by your side, pulling you into a hug and kissing the top of your head. "go on lee while some of us are still young, kimmy might have to retire by the time you kick this thing." you grinned cheekily, hiding behind lotte at the look sent your way by your captain across the pitch.
"oh brilliant! she's a natural." you threw your head back with a laugh as leah completely missed, nearly kneeing herself in the face as the ball bounced away. "shut up!" the blonde warned you with a glare, hurrying to grab the ball again.
"show me again." leah demanded firmly as lotte let you go and you grabbed the ball. "oi ireland!" you yelled, katie looking up from her conversation with gio and grinning as you held up the ball and she readied herself to catch.
"like this." you huffed as you kicked the ball with all your might, the red leather sailing up into the air and right into katies awaiting arms. "you know i might need to recruit you to take some of my goal kicks. how much do you really like being a striker?" manu messed up your hair with a gloved hand as you pushed her away with a smile.
"how the fu-" leah shook her head as katie booted the ball toward caitlin perfectly. "its cause she's got a bit of aussie in her, literally." you smirked quietly, leah turning to you with wide shocked eyes at the comment.
"i'm telling steph to wash that filthy little mouth out with soap tonight skippy."
you barely heard her as you were already taking off racing toward kyra who was trying to teach gio how to kick, your body hurtling into hers. "tackle!" you cheered as kyra groaned from beneath you and you plucked the ball from her hand and took off again.
"they don't tackle in afl you little shit thats nrl!"
"nope!" you were suddenly off the ground again as caitlins arms wrapped around your waist and took you down to the ground, tossing the ball to katie and getting off of you.
"piggy in the middle!" you cheered happily jumping to your feet and racing off toward an unsuspecting cloe who was merely holding the ball, the blondes eyes widening as she hurried to toss the ball toward sabs who frowned in confusion before your body hurtled into hers.
"hey steph." the defender looked up from where she was watching you as jen appeared by her side.
"yeah mate, i can see those greys now."

a simple stray kids guide (for baby stays) â¨
overview: stray kids, or skz for short, is an 8-member korean boy band that debuted on march 25th, 2018 under jype ent. they were formed through a survival show in 2017 with originally 9 members, but one member left the group a year after debut for unknown reasons. there are three subunits to the group: 3racha the rap/producer unit, danceracha the dance unit, and vocalracha the vocal unit. of course, though, all of them do a bit of everything.
stray kids were considered an âexperimental groupâ since the leader of the group was tasked with choosing all the members himself, and coming up with the name, logo, and fandom name of the group. as a group, they produced all their own music as well. they were relatively small for a while but by the time they released their song godâs menu, they were growing in popularity.
now stray kids have had many accomplishments, including: performing at lollapalooza, being the first k-pop group invited to the met gala, becoming ambassadors for brands like versace and gucci, winning around 82 awards, and producing an ost for the deadpool movie. they've also recently set a guinness world record for the first ever group to have #1 albums 5 times in a row over the course of only 8 months!
while they are incredibly talented and successful celebrities, theyâre also very down to earth, and very connected with their fanbase. theyâve shown openness and vulnerability with their fans by releasing songs with serious topic matters, crying on stage, and talking about their emotions/experiences. personally, theyâre the only band iâve ever seen who feel genuine love for their fanbase.
name: chan bahng
english name: christopher
stage name: bangchan, cb97 in 3racha
age: 27 (october 3rd, 1997)
nationality: australian-korean
languages: english, korean
positions: leader, producer in 3racha, dancer, rapper, vocalist
skzoo: wolfchan
instagram: gnabnahc
basics: chan was born in korea, but moved to australia when he was about 3 or 4 years old. he remained there with his two younger siblings, hannah and lucas, and their cavalier king charles named berry, until he was 13 when he went back to korea to become a k-pop trainee. he trained for about 7 years until he was finally able to debut as stray kidsâ leader. chan is very reliable as the leader and dad of the group, but heâs also australian, so he adds to the chaos very well.
fun facts: chan has hypermobile arms and legs, and can turn his hand 360°. he sometimes wears wrist and knee braces due to overextension. chan won many medals in swimming growing up and couldâve gone into that career. along with that, heâs also good in many other sports like soccer and track. chan's hair is naturally curly!
name: minho lee
english name: rhino (yes iâm serious)
stage name: leeknow
age: 26 (october 25th, 1998)
nationality: korean
languages: korean and basic english
positions: lead dancer in danceracha, vocalist, rapper
skzoo: leebit
instagram: t.leeknowsaurus
basics: minho was born and raised in korea as an only child, aside from his cat siblings soonie, doongie, and dori. he moved out of his parentsâ home at a fairly young age in order to be closer to his university, where he was said to have studied dance and comp-sci, as well as worked as a waiter for some time. he was called in to train under jype in 2017 and he ended up passing the dance test in only 2 weeks, the shortest period among jype trainees. minho is considered to be a âtsundereâ since heâs very blunt, loud, and a bit rough generally, but is very kind and caring inside.
fun facts: minho toured in japan with bts as a backup dancer when he was in highschool. minho has acrophobia, the severe fear of heights, and he cannot swim. minho is well-trained in taekwondo, boxing, and bodyguard martial arts. minho said that the reason he isnât comfortable showing his abs like some other members do is because he has a scar on his stomach from a surgery he had as a child.
name: changbin seo
english name: lewis
stage name: spearB in 3racha
age: 24 (august 11th, 1999)
nationality: korean
languages: korean and intermediate english
positions: producer in 3racha, main rapper, vocalist, dancer
skzoo: dwaekki
instagram: jutdwae
basics: changbin was born and raised in korea, along with his older sister, in a fairly wealthy family. he originally joined jype as a trainee at age 17 to debut as a vocalist, but was convinced to debut as a rapper by a counselor. unfortunately i donât know much about changbinâs trainee days, other than he trained for about 2 years, and he was part of 3racha who uploaded their first rap song on soundcloud in 2017. changbin is a pretty silly and loud person, but has been described by his members as someone they can approach and who will notice/remember the smallest things about them.
fun facts: changbin prefers plants as heâs allergic to both cats and dogs. changbin is a blackbelt in taekwondo, and he named his own pecs "jut" and "dwae". changbin has said he would like to own his own gym or be a tattoo artist. changbin is the shortest member at 5 '6. changbin was named the fastest male rapper in the k-pop industry with 11 korean syllables per second, i believe.
name: hyunjin hwang
english name: sam
age: 24 (march 20th, 2000)
nationality: korean
languages: korean and advanced english
positions: dancer in danceracha, vocalist, rapper
skzoo: jiniret
instagram: hynjinnnn
basics: hyunjin was born and raised in korea as an only child, along with his long-haired chihuahua, kkami. he was approached by two k-pop company scouts at a young age, one of which while he was out shopping with his mom. and, of course, he chose jype. he trained as a dancer, and admitted he had hated dancing at first due to the emotional toll it took on him, but now he says dance is like another language he can speak. unlike minho, he attended university online, all during his busy career as an idol. hyunjin is introverted, but very silly and dramatic at the same time.
fun facts: hyunjin has a fear of sudden loud noises, like balloons popping. hyunjin is the tallest member at 5 '11. hyunjin was going to be an interior designer before he became an idol. hyunjin is an artist in multiple forms of media, but heâs most interested in sketching and painting. hyunjin had a live called âcounseling centerâ where he would read his fansâ comments and give them advice/encouragement. hyunjin once broke his hand and now he can't really bend his right pinky finger.

age: 24 (september 14th, 2000)
nationality: korean
languages: korean and advanced english
positions: producer in 3racha, rapper, dancer, vocalist
skzoo: han quokka
instagram: _doolsetnet
basics: jisung was born in korea like his older brother. his family moved to malaysia when he was about 8, where they stayed for a while before coming back to korea. his parents werenât particularly supportive of his desire to become a trainee at first, but they made a deal with him that if he could be accepted into a company before a certain amount of time, theyâd let him continue. if not, heâd have to go back to school to get another job. luckily he made it into jype, and became chanâs very first member of choice. like hyunjin, jisung is an introvert, but heâs very loud and energetic at the same time.
fun facts: jisung started learning english in malaysia, which may be why his accent when speaking english is faintly british. jisung has been open with his fans about his struggles with social anxiety and depression. he also supposedly has trypophobia, the fear of clusters of holes, but that isnât proven. jisung has a bichon frise named bbama. jisung and hyunjin were the real enemies to besties.
name: yongbok lee
english name: felix
age: 24 (september 15th, 2000)
nationality: australian-korean
languages: korean, english, basic french
positions: dancer in danceracha, vocalist, rapper
skzoo: bokkari
instagram: yong.lixx
basics: felix was born and raised in sydney, australia, with his older sister raechel and his younger sister olivia. he was 17 when he moved to korea to become a trainee at jype, where he studied korean at the same time, as his parents didnât raise him to speak the language very much. itâs been said by chan that he was particularly hard on felix during their time before debut because he saw potential in him, and he wanted him to do his best to succeed. felix is known as the sunshine of the group, for the fact that heâs incredibly sweet and happy.
fun facts: felix debuted his runway model career at a louis vuitton fashion show. felix is a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo, which he won 63 medals in over the course of 12 years. felix has a very deep voice that doesnât match his face, and he will occasionally make his own asmr content. felix has volunteered in laos with/become an ambassador for unicef. felix is so afraid of scary things, heâs admitted to reading his bible after watching a horror movie. felix cries easily.
name: seungmin kim

age: 24 (september 22nd, 2000)
nationality: korean
languages: korean and advanced english
positions: lead vocalist in vocalracha, dancer, rapper
skzoo: puppym
instagram: miniverse.___
basics: seungmin was born and raised in korea, along with his older sister. he moved to LA as a child for only about 3 months, but thatâs where he started his study in english and where he got his english name from a teacher. he trained for one year after winning 2nd place in jypeâs 13th open audition, before debuting with stray kids. seungmin is basically an ambivert (itâs not conclusive if heâs introverted or extroverted), and tends to playfully bully his members. he can be pretty random and silly.
fun facts: seungmin wanted to be a baseball player before becoming an idol, and he actually pitched a strike at a game for the second time recently (the first time he was about 9 years old). seungmin was into boxing, although iâm not sure if he is anymore. seungmin and felix have a live called âcat puppy schoolâ where they just mess up recipes constantly. seungmin is the only idol iâve seen that seems to have autistic traits, from my own autistic prospective. iâm not diagnosing him of course!
