Blockchain-powered Energy Trade Goes Viral In Asia

North American and European markets have been leading in blockchain based energy trading, but in recent times, the Asian blockchain-based energy trade is rapidly growing. In a short, Asia will be at the same level as Europe and North America. According to Solar Plaza reports this expansion is largely due to the increased market interest in innovative products that involve DLT (distributed ledger technology). The Asian market including Japan and Singapore are all delving into energy training opportunities that are based on the blockchain. The market is rapidly growing to the extent that global leaders in the blockchain business such as the LO3 Energy of the United States and the Australian power ledger are becoming very involved in the Asian Ledger technology. In addition to this, Asia has also become a home to many start-up fintech companies. Marrah Fry, a power ledger analyst in a report mentioned that the appetite for blockchain-based energy trading in Asia has increased. And two of their projects that have been announced in Asia have received tremendous help and this shows how fast it is growing. Different companies are setting up various projects in Asia, one such company is Perth, an Australian power ledger that has set up projects in the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. In fact, the project in Thailand which is being handled in collaboration with BCPG (a renewable energy developer) and Kepco (Japan's second largest utility) has been considered as one of the most unique projects in the region. This new development has led to the free access of firms to the Metropolitan Electricity Authority's network, thereby making it easy BCPG to grant peer to peer power trading. According to Fry, this is a major indicator of the massive interest in blockchain fuelled innovation in Asia. Belinda Kincaid the director of LO3 Energy in Australia once said that her company is on the lookout for opportunities in blockchain energy trading in the Asian region and is also on the verge of announcing two new projects being launched in Japan. She further went on to state that the reason why many investors find Asia very attractive is that Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Singapore have joyfully embraced blockchain enables energy trading. The excitement and intrigue of Asian utilities to try out the market and their readiness to see how it will benefit them is a major contributory factor to their receptiveness. She, however, stated that the Asian energy market is not as mature or receptive when compared to advanced economies. As of writing, Dr. Richard Lohwasser, the CEO of Lition which is based in Germany, who is also an entrepreneur and a researcher launched a renewable peer-to-peer energy exchange platform, that services a minimum of 41 million households across eleven German cities. Dr. Richard said that Liton was launched at the right time when the world has begun deploying smart systems in major cities that lack stable electric grid infrastructure. The idea of the energy mining it.slider came from a childhood habit of sliding objects. In early ‘16 we proposed it to an investment firm in NYC stating only “its harder to master than a rubics cube” and that it combats anxiety and ADHD. We were not able to receive any capital. Without proposing it any further, we decided to develop it.slider at our own cost and time and traveled cross country to Anaheim, CA. Here it.slider v1.0 turned into reality with a patent pending. At the same time, we’ve discovered that our investors secretly ended up liking the idea of releasing stress and channel anxiety in a playful way. First, a cube appeared on Kickstarter without any origin or people behind it. We’ve emailed the investment firm laughing cynically that they went ahead taking the wrong idea and sent a short video sliding a conventional bic lighter. The cube was abandoned in such a rush, no one even cared to deliver the backers with the product. Instead, a month later cheap little plastic spinning toys started flooding the world. Basically, an interpretation of our bic sliding video just dumbed down with bearings you hold onto and zero skill required. The momentary hype faded out since it had no official story or origin (they would have to pay us) nor did it combat anxiety as we proposed our idea would. The development of it.slider continued and we’ve approached people amongst the fidgeting community to try using it.slider. By that time it had with our stabilization engine keeping it flush and the m.a.s.s sensor charging the device while in use. At the day of this writing, we have confronted over 1000 people with the device. The number of people being able to use it remains 0. As it became apparent that sliding it requires a sort of outer world skill, we have halted the development of the device. For it to ever continue we will have to find one single human who is able to use it.slider and experience the universal power it delivers @tbuchmueller while mastering it.slider at high speeds.
