The idea of the energy mining it.slider came from a childhood habit of sliding objects. In early ‘16 we proposed it to an investment firm in NYC stating only “its harder to master than a rubics cube” and that it combats anxiety and ADHD. We were not able to receive any capital. Without proposing it any further, we decided to develop it.slider at our own cost and time and traveled cross country to Anaheim, CA. Here it.slider v1.0 turned into reality with a patent pending. At the same time, we’ve discovered that our investors secretly ended up liking the idea of releasing stress and channel anxiety in a playful way. First, a cube appeared on Kickstarter without any origin or people behind it. We’ve emailed the investment firm laughing cynically that they went ahead taking the wrong idea and sent a short video sliding a conventional bic lighter. The cube was abandoned in such a rush, no one even cared to deliver the backers with the product. Instead, a month later cheap little plastic spinning toys started flooding the world. Basically, an interpretation of our bic sliding video just dumbed down with bearings you hold onto and zero skill required. The momentary hype faded out since it had no official story or origin (they would have to pay us) nor did it combat anxiety as we proposed our idea would. The development of it.slider continued and we’ve approached people amongst the fidgeting community to try using it.slider. By that time it had with our stabilization engine keeping it flush and the m.a.s.s sensor charging the device while in use. At the day of this writing, we have confronted over 1000 people with the device. The number of people being able to use it remains 0. As it became apparent that sliding it requires a sort of outer world skill, we have halted the development of the device. For it to ever continue we will have to find one single human who is able to use it.slider and experience the universal power it delivers @tbuchmueller while mastering it.slider at high speeds. The question remains: Can You Do It.

it.slider is utilizing our motion activated sinuosity sensor. A patent-pending'17 mechanical solution invented by Thomas Buchmueller. It is done through what is called triboelectric energy harvesting. Two overlapping surfaces, Teflon and carbon are forced to touch on each side by the gravity of the cube. The cube pulled back into its original state by a sensitive spring. Besides mining energy, sliding the device prevents anxiety in heavy focus situations and creates a godlike feeling inside the one who can master it.
