Charles Leclerc - sweet, I would vote him most likely to be true even while he's traveling abroad being swooned over and having fans handing him marriage licenses. But he's great and it's because of him and Carlos in the C² videos that I got roped into this sport so he's gotta make it. Max Verstappen - speaking of inspirations my traumatized ass can't help but support one of my own. He's an icon of breaking cycles. Yes he's definitely had his issues but he's matured in some ways and while I don't care if he wins or not on the track I'm very invested in him winning at life which him being a doting stepdad to Penelope is the kind of healing that helps me heal too. Logan Sargent - I'm american, independence day is literally my favorite holiday, I have to have this man in my top 10 and I genuinely do think he's a classy guy (especially considering he's from Florida) and I can't help but love how the one American driver is just so painfully American looking. "In the Arthurian legends, the young knight Parsifal joins the Knights of the Round Table to seek the Holy Grail. Hello CC, thanks for responding to my questions about Catherine’s wellbeing. For your reading on Catherine, could you please focus on her health on the day, and her general state of mind about her new and future role brought about by the coronation?

I don’t think Camilla having her grandsons being pages is an issue, as far as I’m aware the role is usually for the children of close friends. It is actually more unusual for Prince George to have that role, as it has not been a role for royalty themselves. Those being upset about Camilla’s grandchildren being pages should then technically be just as upset at Prince George being one, in my opinion, but I don’t think there is reason to be upset at all - I prefer positivity all around!

It is nice to know that the role of pages is usually for the children of close friends. I think it would have been better if all the pages were the children of close friends and none of them were family, but obviously the King and the Queen think otherwise. For those wondering about the draw I just did: I asked "What will the coronation be like for Catherine? How will she be? Happy and relaxed, stressed, something else...? and the cards I drew were

PAGEANT PLATFORM

when jordan initially started prepping for the pageant circuit, her platform was advocating for affordable and accessible food banks to under-funded communities in order to battle hunger and food deserts in the state of ohio. while it’s a good platform to have, it became apparent early on that it was something of a standard among pageant contestants; if it’s not food shortage and malnutrition, it’s clean energy, reducing your carbon footprint, saving trees, adopt don’t shop  —  a lot of things that blend together in the same avenue of nice, but forgettable.

six months into competing, jordan changes her platform to advocating for victims of sexual violence. she partners with a local organization to raise awareness to the growing problem with sexual violence in the state and the nation, how victims are affected short and long-term, and what resources are needed to help victims heal and move forward. her goal, with her platform, is to help victims get away from their abusers and find the strength to stand on their own through a program that helps set them up with housing and furniture. she does not speak on her own personal journey as a rape victim.

while coming up with a platform and speaking on it was bumpy initially, prepping a talent was as easy and natural as breathing for jordan. she always sings; it’s the easiest talent for people to connect to, it’s something everyone understands, and her repertoire is long enough and diverse enough to carry her to top scores within the talent portion. selections she’s done range from celine dion, to adele, to alicia keys; while vocal performance is a key strength of hers, she doesn’t rest on that and still prepares, just as she would for any performance or audition.

Q: if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?

the one piece of advice I would give myself is, don’t worry about doing everything right. it’s easy to tell yourself that you always have to be the best at everything and you always need to strive for perfection, but it’s okay to slip up and make mistakes. it’s a huge part of growing up, and it’s the only way to learn and grow as a person. just because you’ve messed up doesn’t mean you’re a bad person  —  that’s what makes you human.

Q: who is your biggest inspiration, and why?

my biggest inspiration has and will always be my abuela, liliana martinez. she’s the strongest person I’ve ever met  —  she immigrated to the united states when she was only sixteen years old, hardly spoke a word of english, and managed to build a beautiful life for herself and her family. she firmly believes in the value of hard work, family, and always helping others in whatever way you can. my abuela has instilled all those values in me, has taught me to find the joy in everything, and to always follow your passion and put your all into everything that you do. This will be His Majesty’s first address to the nation since his New Years address from Sandringham at the first of the year.

Anderson Cooper: It was a busy day for His Majesty who attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Kings Garden at George Square Park. The event marked the first joint public appearance by the King and Queen since he resumed royal duties after heart surgery.

Anderson Cooper: King George spoke to a small crowd about the importance creating outdoor spaces for the youth of Windenburg, and the impact the Commonwealth’s youth will have on the environment.

His Majesty has showed a strong caring for matters of the environment. The palace announced that His Majesty will be visiting the new Kent Energy Centre this week to further bring environmental awareness.

when jordan initially started prepping for the pageant circuit, her platform was advocating for affordable and accessible food banks to under-funded communities in order to battle hunger and food deserts in the state of ohio. while it’s a good platform to have, it became apparent early on that it was something of a standard among pageant contestants; if it’s not food shortage and malnutrition, it’s clean energy, reducing your carbon footprint, saving trees, adopt don’t shop  —  a lot of things that blend together in the same avenue of nice, but forgettable.

six months into competing, jordan changes her platform to advocating for victims of sexual violence. she partners with a local organization to raise awareness to the growing problem with sexual violence in the state and the nation, how victims are affected short and long-term, and what resources are needed to help victims heal and move forward. her goal, with her platform, is to help victims get away from their abusers and find the strength to stand on their own through a program that helps set them up with housing and furniture. she does not speak on her own personal journey as a rape victim.

TALENT

while coming up with a platform and speaking on it was bumpy initially, prepping a talent was as easy and natural as breathing for jordan. she always sings; it’s the easiest talent for people to connect to, it’s something everyone understands, and her repertoire is long enough and diverse enough to carry her to top scores within the talent portion. selections she’s done range from celine dion, to adele, to alicia keys; while vocal performance is a key strength of hers, she doesn’t rest on that and still prepares, just as she would for any performance or audition.

Q:if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?

the one piece of advice I would give myself is, don’t worry about doing everything right. it’s easy to tell yourself that you always have to be the best at everything and you always need to strive for perfection, but it’s okay to slip up and make mistakes. it’s a huge part of growing up, and it’s the only way to learn and grow as a person. just because you’ve messed up doesn’t mean you’re a bad person  —  that’s what makes you human.

Q:who is your biggest inspiration, and why?

my biggest inspiration has and will always be my abuela, liliana martinez. she’s the strongest person I’ve ever met  —  she immigrated to the united states when she was only sixteen years old, hardly spoke a word of english, and managed to build a beautiful life for herself and her family. she firmly believes in the value of hard work, family, and always helping others in whatever way you can. my abuela has instilled all those values in me, has taught me to find the joy in everything, and to always follow your passion and put your all into everything that you do. I think everyone would benefit from having an abuela, and I count my lucky stars because I am lucky to have one, and if I end up being even half the woman she is, I’ll have done good.

Harry Potter

After a few entire days of not seeing you, Harry was growing suspicious. He had thought that you had grown tired of him, maybe, or needed some sort of break, but when Ron began acting odd, he forced his friend to tell him what was going on.

The train moved fast towards Kings Cross Station, and you were no where in sight. “Cut to the chase. Where is (Y/N)?” Harry questioned angrily.

Ron huffed quietly and leaned his elbows on his knees. “Now, before you get angry with me, know she insisted that you not find out.” Ron began, but Harry simply stared at him, waiting for him to continue. “(Y/N) was hurt while practicing a potion for class. She is pretty badly burned, and Madame Pompfrey is healing her as quick as she can, but will be at the Burrow by Christmas,” Ron explained quickly, and fury spread on Harry’s face.

“She is hurt, and no one bothered to tell me?! What I’m your bloody mind thought that would be a good idea!” He shouted at his friend, simply infuriated at the thought.  He sat back on the seat, knowing too well that there was nothing he could do until he saw you.

Ron Weasley

Ron is worried beyond belief when he hears.  He knows you will be fine, and you are fine now, but he still gets worried as he bucks it to the Hospital Wing.  

He had caught wind that you were bitten by one of the plants during herbology, which injected poison into your body rapidly.  By the time he heard, you were cured, but just drowsy from the medications.  

He opened the door to the Hospital Wing, ignoring Madame Pompfrey’s angry cries, and enveloped your body into a hug the moment e saw you tucked into the one of the cots.  “You worried me!”  He hissed to you, and you only laughed gently, stroking his hair in response.

Draco Malfoy

When Draco caught wind that someone had hurt you in Charms class, he was simply infuriated.  It was an accident, without a doubt, but the accident left you on bed rest for two days with a broken nose, concussion, and black eye.  He hadn’t even gotten all the details as to what happened, only the name of the person who did it.

He marched into your Common Room when everyone was in classes, surpassing one first year’s wide, fearful eyes, and flung the door of your dorm open quickly.  “I will end the bloody rat who did this to you.  Just say the words,” he grumbled angrily, but you only laughed quietly, holding your hand out to him.

“Don’t bother, love.”  You smiled faintly him as you scooted over in your bed, patting the spot next to you.  “I’d much rather you put the energy towards keeping me company.”  You told him, and although he was still angry, he settled himself down enough to hold you as you cuddled against him.

Fred Weasley

Fred had actually been the one to hurt you.

Not purposely, of course, but still.

You were a chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and Fred had accidentally hit the bludger in your direction.  It was too late when the shouts of warning hit your ears, for the ball struck your stomach hard, and you hit the ground below you with a loud thump.  

After a moment of laying there, and your teammates running to you, you turned onto your knees, and became sick all over the Quidditch Pitch.  “(Y/N), love, are you okay?  I am so sorry,” Fred gushed upon reaching you, helping you to your feet and holding your body steady as he examined you.  

“I am going to kill you,” you told him between your labored breaths, trying to regain your composure and steady breathing.

George Weasley

You hadn’t actually gotten hurt during class.  In theory, you were supposed to still be in school, but you were seventeen now, and would rather be caught dead than returning to Hogwarts in its current state.  You were one of the decoy Harry Potter’s.

While George’s ear was severely injured, your arm was broken and placed into a sling by Remus Lupin.

Despite George’s serious injury, he still worried so much more about you, whether you were okay, how he could help, and even held your hand as Remus reset your bones.  He was a true gentleman, and you were so grateful for this.

Neville Longbottom

Neville was there when the creature had taken a hold off our arm in its mighty grip.  You were in you advanced Care for Magical Creatures class, and things were going quite smoothly, until someone coughed.  All hell broke loose then, as the creature you were caring for grew threatened and took you as its victim.  Its strong grip tightened around your arm, and the class could physically hear your bones shatter.  

You kept form crying out, and before long, the professor was able to reign in the creature as you laid on the ground in an injured, whimpering heap.  Neville was by your side in milliseconds, lifting you into his arms unlike anyone thought he could.  “Sh, it will be okay.  I’ve got you now,” he assured you as class was dismissed and the professor, yourself, and Neville made your way towards the castle to be healed.  The entire time, Neville murmured to you about how brave and daring you were, and how much he loved you.

Cedric Diggory

Like Neville, Cedric was there when you were hurt.  

In Potions class, you were next to a particularly ungifted individual.  Before too far into a complicated potion, his cauldron erupted in smoke, and before you could take cover, the pewter exploded, sending you backwards and against a shelf.  

You whimpered, gripping your head and feeling the blood on your fingers.  “Oh my,” you murmured, and before long, other students and Professor Snape were all around you.

“(Y/N), are you all right?”  Cedric asked you, helping you to your feet and steading you with his strong arms.  You blinked, trying to process what was going on, but failing.  

“No… No, I am not,” you answered, unable to hear more than one thing at a time.  Quickly, Professor Snape whisked you off to the Hospital Wing, with Cedric not far behind.

In this memorable year, marking seventy-five years of peace and friendship between us, it gives my wife and myself such great pride to return to Germany, and to renew those enduring bonds between our two countries.

I have been coming to Germany since I was just thirteen years old, and first visited Berlin nearly fifty years ago. Over the decades, I have been struck by the ways in which this remarkable city embodies so much of the history of our continent, and all that we have been through. After the devastation of conflict, and the tragedy of division, it has not only endured but triumphed, liberated from flawed and distorted ideologies so that hope and the human spirit could prevail.

Berlin reminds us that the fortunes of all Europeans have been dependent on one another for centuries. The relationships we enjoy today are built on foundations dug deep in the bedrock of our common experience, anchored by bonds running North and South, East and West, through our diverse communities and across our borders.

The connections between the British and German people go back at least as far as the Roman Empire, evolving within a shared civilisation, and woven with threads drawn back and forth through the years. For many of us, those ties are personal, with family connections and associations which remain greatly treasured to this day.

Our people have prospered from one another through commerce, since the Hanseatic League established a trading relationship which continues to drive our shared prosperity. However, the relationship between us has always been so much more than a transactional one. We have long viewed each other with fascination - admiring of each other’s culture and inspired by each other’s ideas, we have influenced and borrowed from one another in a virtuous circle of reinforcing connections that have strengthened and enriched us both.

The examples are myriad. It was a German, Hans Holbein the Younger, who became the first celebrated artist in England. Half a century later, German was the first language into which Shakespeare was translated. The English landscape garden was brought to Germany by Prince Leopold III of Anhalt-Dessau who, inspired by the models of Stourhead and Stowe, laid out the magnificent gardens at Wörlitz of which I am proud to be Patron. Onecan scarcely imagine where the British musical tradition would be without the influence of Bach, Beethoven or Brahms; and the music of Georg Friedrich Handel, who was born a German but died British, has been played at the Coronation of every British Sovereign since that of my seven times great grandfather, King George II.

Throughout the nineteenth century, German scientific and artistic thought shaped British life, encouraged, in part, by the leadership of my great, great, great, grandfather, Prince Albert, The Prince Consort. German was a vitally important language for British academics to acquire, at a time when German immigration to Britain grew significantly and Schroders Bank and Reuters News Agency helped shape London’s global role. It was not as remarkable as it perhaps now seems, that at the outbreak of the First World War four members of the British cabinet had studied at German Universities. It is similarly striking, that in the years after that conflict, British students flocked back to Germany for the exposure to German culture that they, and their parents, considered to be so essential to their education.

Looking back through the prism of two world wars, with all the cruel distortions rendered by conflict and loss, so many of those close connections between Britain and Germany became obscured. And yet, as our countries, and our people, set to the difficult task of rebuilding this continent – and our trust in one another – the deep and historic well of shared experience from which we drew, enabled the seeds of reconciliation to take root and flourish.

And so, over these past seventy-five years, our two countries have been restored to our natural position of allies and friends. Britain was by Germany’s side through those extraordinary years of post-war reconstruction. We have watched, with profound admiration, the remarkable success of Germany’s peaceful reunification over the past thirty years, and with deep respect for the example that she has offered the world.

Today our countries stand together as indispensable partners in almost every field of endeavour imaginable, conscious of our past but confident about our future. As the message read on the wreath that you, Mr. President, laid at the Cenotaph in London two years ago this week, let us “remember side by side, grateful for reconciliation, hopeful for a future in peace and friendship.”

Reconciliation is a difficult but essential process, as I have seen in almost every corner of the globe, as well as on the islands of my own country. That we have healed so much division on our continent is cause for sustained gratitude and the utmost pride. However, as thankful as we should be for how far we have come, I know that many of you share my view that we must take nothing for granted.

We can never reconcile ourselves to the horrors of the past as simply the events of another age – distant, time bound, disconnected from our present lives. Nor can any of us assume that they are someone else’s burden to bear. Instead, the searing relevance of the past to the present day, and to our future, makes it our solemn and shared responsibility to ensure that heartbreaking lessons are learned and heeded by each successive generation.

The former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, Rabbi Lord Sacks, who so tragically died earlier this month, wrote that “a future of reconciliation can, in some measure at least, retrospectively redeem the past.” He was quite right, of course. Otherwise not only do we compound past wrongs and amplify their effect, but we fail all those who struggled and died for a better tomorrow.  

In this, we must work together. We must remain vigilant against threats to our values and our freedoms; and never rest in seeking to create mutual understanding and respect. We must be resolute in addressing acts of unspeakable cruelty against people for reasons of their religion, their race or their beliefs, wherever they occur in the world. We must stand alongside each other in determined defence of the future we owe our children and our grandchildren.  

The challenges to that future are manifest – whether from this dreadful pandemic which threatens not just our public health but our prosperity and security; or from the existential threat to our planet, and our way of life, from climate change and catastrophic biodiversity loss.

These crises demand that we act together, and the partnership between the United Kingdom and Germany offers such a vital opportunity in this regard. We are heavily invested in each other’s futures, such that our national interests, whilst distinct, will always be entwined.  

Our countries are instinctive problem-solvers, working together to find innovative and practical solutions to the challenges we see in the world around us – on global health and vaccine development; clean growth and renewable energy; forest protection and biodiversity; and climate action in developing countries. Together, we stand resolutely in defence of our shared values, as champions of human rights and the Rules Based International System. Together, we are an indispensable force for good in our world.

The English poet, John Donne, famously wrote that “no man is an island entire of itself.  Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.” One might equally submit that no country is really an island either, other than in the wholly literal sense. Our histories bind us tightly together and our destinies, although each our own to forge, are interdependent to a considerable degree.

Mr. President, President of the Bundestag, Ladies and Gentlemen,

The United Kingdom has chosen a future outside the European Union, and the relationship between our countries is evolving once again.  Its shape is a matter negotiated between our governments and its essence is defined by the enduring connections between our people.  It is, therefore, my heartfelt belief that the fundamental bond between us will remain strong: we will always be friends, partners and allies.

As our countries begin this new chapter in our long history, let us reaffirm our bond for the years ahead. Let us reflect on all that we have been through together, and all that we have learned. Let us remember all victims of war, tyranny and persecution; those who laid down their lives for the freedoms we cherish, and those who struggle for these freedoms to this day. They inspire us to strive for a better tomorrow – let us make this our common cause.
