hello anon! thanks for the compliment! apologies this took so long, life's a bitch.

forethoughts: this is my first time writing angst ever. be nice 😔. i tried 😭.

notes: gn!reader, MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ENEIS LOBBY. LITERALLY, KEEP SCROLLING.

It was a tiring day, and you desperately needed rest. You fought with the Straw Hats to save Nico Robin from the World Government’s claps, and you witnessed the passing of the Merry, the Straw Hat’s beloved ship. You stood there on the boat aside Robin, watching the ship break apart and sink into the depths of the sea’s dark abyss. You should feel bad; You know you should. Chopper was sobbing, Nami was on the ground. Usopp (or Sogeking you didn’t really care about whatever name Usopp wanted to call himself) had tears streaming down his face, it could drown the boat all the Straw Hats was on. But despite the head of the beloved lamb sinking into the ocean, your mind was set on one thing, your heart beating out of your chest.

Holy shit Nico Robin is standing right next to me. She’s right next to me. Is she crying? Oh my god she is. Holy shit. She’s right next to me. Should I do something? No, I'll ruin the moment. Your mind was racing, fingers fiddling with the hem of your shirt as you resisted from turning your head to your right, to stare at the beauty next to you.

After the goodbye, all the Straw Hats got on board the Galley-La ship, everyone getting their well deserved rest. Except for you. You tried to sleep, you really did. But you just couldn’t. Not with Nico Robin on your mind. Ever since you joined the Straw Hats, you immediately felt a connection between you and the archaeologist. Nami always (if not everyday) teased you about the way you looked at her, the way you were willing to throw yourself in danger for her. When you heard Robin had sacrificed her freedom for your safety, it broke your heart into a million pieces, it felt like it could never be fixed. So when the Puffing Tom pulled up to Eneis Lobby, you fought like a wild animal, almost on the same level as Zoro and Sanji, fighting Marines left and right until you could see Robin with your own two eyes alright and unharmed.

You argued with your brain for a while, before finally sitting up from the hammock, quietly exiting the room without waking up the other Straw Hats. You snuck around the hallways of the ship, trying to find the room Robin was in. 

Taking a deep breath, you knocked on the door. When you heard a soft, ‘come in’ from a familiar voice, butterflies flew around in your stomach, a shot of serotonin flooding your brain. 

“Robin?” You quietly called out, opening the door. Your heart pounded at the sight in front of you, as you desperately tried to maintain your composure. Robin was sitting on a bed, wearing nothing but an old shirt, perhaps not even any pants from the look of it, making your cheeks flush bright red. Thank God it was night. She had a tired look on her face (of course she had a tired look on her face, you idiot), but regardless had a faint smile.

“Yes, Y/N? Did you need something?” She asked, her ever elegant voice making your legs wobbly.

“O-Oh, uh, no, not really. I just wanted to see if you were okay.” You responded.

Robin smiled warmly at you. “That’s so kind of you, Y/N. Thank you. I’m okay, just.. having a hard time falling asleep. After everything, it feels hard to just… fall asleep and not wake up in danger.”

“Oh.” It made your stomach churn to hear that she was struggling to sleep, but it made your heart flutter since she trusted you with that information. “Is there anything I can do to help?”

“Talking to you, perhaps. You always seem to know how to make me feel better.” Robin smiled at you, welcoming you to sit next to her. You swallowed. Oh my god. Okay. Holy shit. You walked over to Robin, creating a dip in the mattress.

“Why did you want to see if I was okay, Y/N? It doesn’t fit your character.” Robin casually asked. 

So maybe you were avoiding her a lot before the Merry found its way to Water Seven. You were trying to get over Robin, forget everything she had made you feel inside and how red you got whenever she complimented you. You should’ve expected the ever observant Robin to immediately notice your sudden disappearance whenever she entered the room.

“Well…um…” You tried to form coherent sentences to explain your reasoning, without the words ‘I have a crush on you’ coming out of your mouth. 

“I was busy at that time…and didn’t really have the time to stick around to talk.” You nodded your head, approving of your own reasoning that didn’t raise too many red flags.

“I see.” That was all Robin said.

There was a wave of silence that plagued the room, until you mustered up the courage to speak again. “Nami told me… the reason you decided to turn yourself in was for our safety to leave Water Seven… right?”

Even in the darkness, you could see Robin’s smile drop, her head pointing down.

“You don’t need to answer if-”

“Yes. I wanted to make sure all of you were safe and unharmed by CP9 and the World Government. I wanted to make sure you would escape their wrath.” Robin answered.

“But… to turn yourself in after running for two decades… just for us?”

“You all were the first group of people who were willing to wage war against the World Government for me. Even though you knew I was Miss All Sunday, even though Aojiki threatened you to turn me in, none of you let that affect our friendship, and well, we’re all here, aren’t we?”

You wanted to smile at that last sentence, but you frowned instead. “No threats would ever purge our friendship.”

Friendship. That word pained you to say. Friendship was the relationship you and Robin had, but that was not what you wanted.

“Indeed.” Robin murmured, looking back at you with a small smile. You tried to return it, but you just couldn’t. Not after being friendzoned. 

She doesn’t even like you. Get over it. Move on. You told yourself. That was the only option you had, wasn’t it? The two of you were friends. Just friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

Right?

It’s now or never. Ask and just move on. That’s all. 

“Robin…” You muttered quietly.

“Yes, Y/N?”

“Have you…ever thought of…being more than friends with someone?”

“You mean have a romantic interest?”

Your brain short circuited at her sudden bluntness. “Y-Yeah, that.”

“It hasn’t crossed my mind for a while. I wouldn’t think it would be a good idea to find one, since the World Government is out for my head. That would endanger the other person’s life, wouldn’t you agree?”

“You wouldn’t endanger my life…” You mumbled softly, expecting Robin not to pick up on it.

Robin paused after your mumble. Did she hear me? 

“Still,” she sighed. “I can’t seem to find it in me to want to find someone that would love me for who I am. I’m afraid I’ll ruin another life.”

“No you won’t.” You blurted out against your mind’s protest. “You’re not going to ruin some random person’s life just for being you. If they walk away, they just don’t know you well enough to appreciate who you are.”

Robin raised an eyebrow, a smirk growing on her face. “And do you think you know me well enough to appreciate who I am?”

Yep. Your entire face was definitely red, and your skin was definitely hot. You opened your mouth to say something, anything really, but something came out. It didn’t help when Robin moved closer to you, to the point you could feel her breath brushing against your ear. 

“I… do.” You finally say.

“You do? What makes you think you do?”

“Because I would sacrifice my life for you in a heartbeat. I would kill myself if it meant you were safe. I… I…” You look down, summoning all the courage, all the heartache you had bottled for months. “I love you. I love you more than a friend, more than best friends. I love you as if you are my soulmate. I want you to be my soulmate. I love you so much. W-When I heard you left… it broke my heart. I didn’t want you to go.. I didn’t want you to leave because of us. I love it when you’re here. You bring so much joy to the Straw Hats, to me. You mean the world to me, Robin.”

All the while you were ranting about your feelings, Robin was calmly looking at you, a small smile on your face. Even as your mouth continued to move, she didn’t interrupt you. She sat there, watching you pour your heart out to her, watch you express your love. As you kept talking, Robin placed a gentle finger on your chin, tilting your head towards her. Before you could react even, she leaned in, placing a soft kiss on your lips. With her free hand, she pushed you onto the bed, taking her place next to you. Robin caressed your face with her hand, running the back of her fingers against your cheek.

“You’re cute when you ramble.” She smiled. “Thank you for telling me that. I never knew you were that… enthusiastic about me.”

You laid there, no thoughts in your head. All your muscles were concentrated on trying to remember what her lips felt like. What her lips felt like on yours. It was as if you got a kiss from an angel from heaven, blessing you with infinite serotonin. 

“You kissed me.” You stated matter-of-factly after a while.

“I did.” Robin responded with the same manner.

“Why?”

“Because, my sweet Y/N,” she moved closer to you, placing an arm around your chest. “I love you more than a friend too. I wanted to see you live, even if it means I will die. Nothing matters to me more than your wellbeing, and seeing your smile.”

“You… you do?” 

“Yes. I’ve been feeling it for a while… I just never knew or wanted to ask you since I wasn’t sure you would return the same feeling. But after everything that you’ve said tonight… I think I’ve made my decision. I’m not leaving anytime soon. I want to stay with you. Live my life with you, my dear sweet Y/N.”

When you didn’t respond, Robin let out a small chuckle. “Your heartbeat is enough for me to know your response.” 

Robin cuddled next to you, placing her head on your arm as she closed her eyes. You laid there on her bed, staring at the ceiling. 

“I’ll always stay with you.” You finally say, before closing down for the night, your body relaxing against Robin’s. The sound of the ocean waves finally brought you to sleep, the whole world snuggling in your arms.

Turned into a child w/ Sanji, Robin, & Ace

Content: GN reader, fully platonic/familial relationship since they are literally children here. Light One Piece Backstory Spoilers

Notes* In this scenario, they’ve been turned into a child by an unnamed devil fruit user. They don’t retain their adult memories, but they remember everything after it wears off! I wanted to do this prompt for a while because these three really deserve some hugs and love

Content with spoilers: hinting at past child abuse 

Sanji

He’s. BABY

He doesn’t know where he is and he’s scared, so you find him hiding under the table after you weren’t able to find him in the usual spots on the ship

You didn’t understand the situation at first, but you couldn’t miss those cute little curly brows

You call his name, and he looks even more confused at the fact that a stranger knows his name

So you move to sit on your knees a safe distance away from Sanji so he can feel a little safer

You only knew bits and pieces of the treatment he went through with his birth father and siblings, but it was enough to understand why he would be scared of adults. So you offer him a soft smile, full of patience

You assure him that everything is ok, he’s safe, and that you aren’t going to hurt him

Slowly he starts to emerge from under the table and asks where he is

You offer your hand to him, asking if he’d like to see

He’s hesitant, but you look so sweet, so he trusts you and takes your hand

You take him out of the room to see the ocean and his eyes light up

It makes your heart ache

He looks at you with a big smile

“Is this the All Blue!?”

You gently tell him that no, not quite. But he is on a ship that’s trying to find it, and he looks out over the railing, scanning the horizon

Sanji is sweet on everyone, loving the attention from the girls (as always) and yet still getting into tiffs with Zoro, even at this young age

You have to stop Zoro from trying to fight him

Everyone loves hanging out with little Sanji, and he keeps gravitating back to you with a big smile

He doesn’t seem to remember Zeff when you ask him, so you leave it be

He still cooks for everyone come dinner, but you’re there to help him- especially when he cuts his finger

You calm him- you almost cried when he did -and then kiss his bandaged finger for him to help him feel better

The next day when he returns to his proper age, he shuts himself up in the kitchen in embarrassment, baking anything he can think of so he doesn’t have to face everyone

Robin

It was almost impossible to find her the morning of. Poor thing was so worried that she hid too, just a little bit better than Sanji did

When you do find her, it’s in the storage room of the ship, and she’s already crying

You quickly assure her that she’s not in trouble, nor are you going to giver her to the marines

She’s not comforted about the fact that she’s in a pirate ship though, so she might be around the age after Ohara’s death, maybe a few years after being on the run

She was open with you about her past after the events of Enei’s lobby, but it was always painful to talk about so you never pressed the subject

She didn’t look like she was going to be leaving anytime soon, so you promise to get her some things to make her stay more comfortable

You bring her a blanket and some of her favorite books, which she perks up at

Sanji enters to pass off a snack and almost passes out from how cute and little she is

You totally agree with him, but you still have to shove him out before he frightens her too badly

She only seems to touch her snack when you’re not looking

You didn’t want to leave her completely on her own so you were keeping her company

The more time passed and the more the crew poked in to say hello, the more she began to relax

She started to ask you questions- like help with reading a big word, or about how she got on the ship

That one was a little harder to explain, so you simply said you weren’t sure but that she had the whole crew protecting her from any big bag marines

You were glad that there were no bases of theirs in your path for now

Eventually you’re able to coax her out of the storage room just in time for dinner

She sits next to you and keeps looking around cautiously- the group was chaotic, and you were worried that maybe it would scare her back into her shell

But it actually does the opposite, and you’re happy that she’s finally relaxed

When she returns to normal, she thanks you for being by her side and calming her down when she needed it

Ace

The absolute biggest asshole ever

Adult Ace was this cocky, flirty, goofy guy. He was fun and knew how to have a good time

But him as a child is the worst

He is, max, 10 years old and the most conniving little shit

Not only did he go straight to throwing hands when you accidentally uncovered him hiding in the pantry stuffing his face, but he kicked you in the knee before running out to find a new spot

You’d warned Marco and any of the others you passed after that while your knee ached in pain

It wasn’t long until he was eventually found again, this time by Whitebeard of all people, which ended up with them fighting

It was clear that Whitebeard was trying to go easy on the little guy, but he was getting annoyed

Eventually Ace is picked up by the ankle and held out in front of him almost akin to garbage while he flung around, swinging his arms wildly and kicking at Whitebeard’s wrist

“Let go of me, you stupid old man!”

It took a while, but eventually you, Marco, and Whitebeard managed to calm him down enough to talk to him

He sat with his arms crossed and sour

He was only acting out as a fear response due to his lack of memory, of course

But you were still kind of unhappy when it was decided that you were babysitting him

Ace owes you big time

But even with the attitude he gives, if he’s not throwing hands, he’s a pretty cute little guy

You spend the whole day talking about your adventures on the crew when you realize that’s what piques his interest

Suddenly he’s all smiles and he’s engaging with you happily

At dinner, he still stuffs his face and falls asleep at random right there at the table

You carry him to your room to sleep there since someone needed to pick up on Ace’s missed duties today, and when you return he’s still asleep, but back to his usual age

So you scream for him to wake up and apologize for kicking you

He laughs, the dickhead, and apologizes.

“I’ll kiss it better if you want. But tell me- was I a cute kid?”

forethoughts: i can't believe i hit 100+ notes one of my post 🥹. thank you all so much for reading my stuff even though it occasionally breaks your hearts! ahhhh. also gonna use this space to have an fyi for people who request(ed) me. i just finished eneis lobby!!! if you request something that's way after eneis lobby, i'm either gonna have to wing it (aka poorly write bc i lack context and i don't wanna google bc google = spoiler), or you have to wait patiently for me to reach that arc. sorry for any inconvenience! anyways back to the matter at hand.

Luffy always sleeps whenever his body tells him to, so it’s not odd for him to suddenly disappear next to you while you two slept together. But ever since you two had gotten together, he would always make sure that he was by your side whenever you woke up. The moment your eyes open and consciousness rolls in, you feel a heavy weight on your body. Luffy’s fast asleep on you, his head bruised-no doubt from Sanji trying to steal food. You smile softly at him, petting his hair as you roll him over to his side of the bed, placing a kiss on his bruise as you look at him, admiring his peaceful sleeping form. Whenever you’re asleep, he’s awake. Whenever you’re awake, he’s asleep. You found this annoying, but seeing his sleepy baby face always washed your annoyance away. You would proceed with your morning routine as it is, and usually by the time you’re done, Luffy would’ve awoken, and smother you with kisses and whine about Sanji. Additionally, because now that you were with him and sleep with him (every now and then) at night, his hygiene significantly improved, so now he wasn’t always sweaty and covered in dirt!

Sanji is a gentleman, so of course he lets you steal the blanket at night, letting you snuggle up against him. Sometimes when you wake up, he’s not by your side, as he has to start preparing food for everyone, but you would always find a handwritten note and your favorite breakfast right next to you, as well as a rose in a vase on your nightstand. This was life with Sanji; he always had to be up at 5am, ready to cook every meal, while you always slept in. He’ll always make it up to you by giving you the best night, as he can never really give you the best morning, even though he tries his best. 

Nami loves to either big spoon or little spoon you. Either way, she craves the physical intimacy she can generate with you. She expects to either be treated like a princess one day, or absolutely spoil you with kisses the moment you wake up, and help you shower, get changed, etc. You cannot change my mind about the fact that Nami is a pillow princess, and will steal the blanket if she’s cold. You don’t mind it; in fact you're already used to this behavior, but you love it anyway, and she loves you for indulging her. Once she wakes up, she’ll kiss you on your lips, whispering a good morning as she snuggles with you. Once you’re awake too, the two of you get ready for the day. Nami spends majority of her time on makeup and clothing, while you simply shower and pick something nice to wear. Ever since you started dating Nami, you found yourself sitting down on a stool, Nami’s hand deep into your scalp trying to ‘fix your hair’, while making you look the most attractive person in the world (to her you already were).

Similar to Nami, both you and Robin will always wake up at around the same time, to say good morning to each other and be the first thing you see once you wake up. In the beginning of your relationship, she isn’t too keen on snuggling/cuddling due to her trauma and the hardship of opening up to others, but after a while of being with you, she’ll let you cuddle her and she grows to love it too. She always smells like fresh paper or flowers, a scent you’ve grown to love. Robin usually wakes up before you, and loves seeing your sleepy face buried in her chest. She’ll plant a soft kiss on your forehead, whispering ‘good morning’ to you. Soon enough, you’ll wake up, and whisper a ‘good morning’ to you. The two of you stay in bed slowly waking up, talking about your dreams and your sleep, then about what you were going to do/plan to do for the day. Robin loved talking to you and helping you achieve your goals, as nothing makes her more happy than to see you succeed. Everyday, she’d check in on you to see if you had completed your task you said you would in the morning, and always reward you with a special night. Ending your discussion with a kiss, the two of you get out of bed, ready to accomplish what both of you set out to do today.

gotta be honest, after finishing eneis lobby nico olvia is very much amongst the characters i find most interesting thus far. i get that she's a very small character within the grand scheme of things, but everything that is going on with her narratively is beyond fucking compelling. i'd read/watch an entire spin-off about her, like, she is just so intricately fascinating.

here we have a woman who started a family, who clearly loves her daughter wholeheartedly, but who feels called by a sense of responsibility to the truth, to the world, & to her field. she leaves her daughter to what amounts to a cinderella story with added horrors & is haunted by the guilt it spurs to the point where she believes herself to have no right to consider herself robin's mum in any meaningful sense. but she couldn't help but turn around, but want her little girl's forgiveness for all she'd die before thinking she'd earned it. who breaks at her daughter begging for the mum she wanted to but couldn't be. who knows it was wrong to leave as a parent... but also can't say she had any better option.

here we have a woman who pursued knowledge, pursued truth, to the point of criminalization. who's sheer power of belief in the importance of awareness & intellect caused both defection & breach of orders. who chased after the real story of the world in the face of death, who did not cower at the thought of it killing her, because what she was doing was right. it was meaningful. it was important.

here we have the woman who was amongst the inspirations for nico robin to become who she is because, along with other factors, robin understood & believed in the importance of her mum's work even as a very small youth. who, for all she had left her daughter behind, was responsible for a woman who would become (at least to my understading of what's ahead) indespensible to the world's liberation in part due to the example she set. who managed to save her little girl in the end.

yes, she is a small character in the grand scheme of things, but the op world would not be able to be written as we see it without her existence. & i fucking love her.

from little garden, and being inspired by dorry and brogy, to eneis lobby, where he helps stage a revolt, to dressrosa where he is elevated to godhood

in many ways, the only logical trajectory tbh!!!

forethoughts: i just finished eneis lobby and moving onto thriller bark, so i know nothing about WCI and Germa and the Vinsmoke family at all, so this I'm just going off on Sanji x princess!reader of another kingdom.

notes: try and guess where i got Y/N's kingdom name 🤭. mostly fluff, just two friends reconnecting over not seeing each other for too long. tried to put romance in there but it kinda just turned out to be platonic love instead. apologies if you wanted romantic love.

It was a normal day on the Sunny. Nami had spotted a new island on the horizon and they were going to go there to check it out. Everyone was excited. Luffy was ready to raid the island’s food, Nami was going to mark it on her maps, Chopper would gather some new herbs to add to his medical collection, and Sanji would fight Luffy, taking the food the island had to offer and store it for another day. While they were all going to do what they wanted to do with the new island, another thing was in store for them.

The moment all the Straw Hats (except for Robin, who offered to stay behind to guard the ship) stepped foot on the island, a shrill scream for help echoed through the entire island like a soundwave. Everyone immediately was on their guards, ready for a fight. But not Sanji. When Sanji heard the scream echo through the island, he immediately abandoned the group, sprinting towards the sound, a feeling of worry and nostalgia hitting him. 

Searching the forest, he found you surrounded by a group of pirates. Your hands were chained, face dirty and clothes ripped. Sanji took his lighter out from his jacket pocket and a fresh cigarette. He lit the cigarette, placing it in between his teeth as he took a step towards the pirates. He could feel Diable Jambe activating by the way his legs started to burn with anger, the fire in him intensifying. 

Oh, those pirates were in for a fun time with Sanji. One, someone-a group of bad pirates-harmed a girl, presumably kidnapping her and chaining her. Two, they had hurt someone Sanji knew.

“Flambage Shot!” With only two kicks, all the pirates went down unconscious if not dead. Once he was sure all the pirates were down, he approached you, kneeling down to break your chains. 

“What are you doing here?” You asked him.

“I could ask you the same thing, Y/N. Are you alright?” Sanji helped you up.

“I’m okay. Still, what are you doing here? You’re quite far from Germa.”

“I can still say the same for you.”

“Oi! Sanji!” The two of you turned your heads towards the sound. The rest of the Straw Hats had finally caught up. 

“Who’s that?” Luffy asked.

“Luffy, don’t tell me you don’t know who that is?” Nami slapped the back of Luffy’s head.

“Eh? Is she famous or something?”

“Luffy, that’s Princess Y/N from the Lunge Kingdom!”

“Never heard of it.”

“LUFFY!” 

“It’s alright.” You spoke up. “It’s quite a small kingdom, it’s not very well known. Nonetheless, it is still a kingdom that’s prospering.” 

You turned your head towards Sanji, who had a hand around your shoulder, letting you lean against him. “Sanji-kun, do you know them?”

“Sanji-kun?” The girl called Nami turned towards you. “Do you know Sanji?”

“Yes. Sanji-kun, what are you doing with pirates? Are you a pirate too?”

“Well… it’s a very long story. I’m sure we can talk about it over lunch.” Sanji replied, a sheepish look on his face.

“And why are you smoking?! It’s bad for you!” You swatted the cigarette out of his mouth, throwing it onto the ground and stomping on it. All the Straw Hats let out an audible gasp at your action. No one ever dared get in the way of Sanji and his smoking habits. Sure, they had their opinions on it, but no one really acted out.

“Alright, alright. Fine. Do you want my delicious potato paille that you love?” He led you away from the rest of the Straw Hats, leading you towards the Sunny.

 Your eyes gleamed with hunger, a wide smile on your face. “Yes! I would love to have your potato paille! C’mon, walk faster! I wanna eat your food!”

“Alright, alright.” Sanji chuckled, suddenly swooping your legs up as he sprinted towards the ship, carrying you bridal style.

“SANJI!!!!!”

“So you’re a pirate now?” You asked him, watching him move around the kitchen, every one of his move filled with elegance.

“Yes. I am the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates.” Sanji answered.

“Wow. I mean, I never expected you to be a pirate, but at least you’re still pursuing your cooking passion.” “Indeed.”

“How did you even meet the Straw Hat Pirates?”

“Well, I used to work in Baratie, being a chef there. Then Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp stumbled their way into the restaurant. Luffy saw me and saw that I could cook, and asked if I wanted to join his crew. Initially, I said no, but he ‘refuse my refusal’. Eventually, Don Krieg attacked, Mihawk showed up, and I decided to leave Baratie. Zeff was in good hands, and I wanted to find the All Blue.”

“Wow. You’re still after that all these years later?”

“Of course. I will be the person to find the All Blue.”

“And I know you will, my dear prince.” Your smirk widened when a tint of red was visible on Sanji’s cheeks.

“Yeah?” He said, regaining his composure. “What about you, my dear princess? How did you find yourself being held hostage by a group of pirates?”

You dipped your head, staring at the wooden table. “Well, Lunge isn’t doing well these past years. Germa stopped working with us, so we had to find other means for trade imports and exports. I thought that if I could find a temple with treasure in it, or a buried treasure, then I could bring enough gold to support my kingdom. I did find some gold on that island, but the pirates got there too, and I’ve never fought a group of people before.”

“Oh. I see. I’m sorry about Lunge’s condition. If there’s anything I can do to help, you know I would do it in an instance.” Sanji walked towards you, placing a gourmet plate of potato paille in front of you.

“I appreciate it, Sanji-kun. Thank you for the food!” You picked up a fork, immediately going town on the food like you haven’t eaten in days.

“Of course, Y/N. Anything for you.” Sanji took a seat across from you, admiring you forking down the food he had cooked just for you, just the way you liked.

“Remember when we were young? Whenever your family came over to talk to…the people in Germa, we would always sneak out of the palace and sneak into the woods, so we could pretend we’re ‘camping and stalking our prey’?” Sanji brought up. You stopped chewing for a while, as the memory played back in your head. You let out a chuckle, shaking your head at that memory.

“Those were fun times, wasn’t it?” You smiled, reminiscing about the past. “I’m so glad to have run into you, Sanji-kun. For one, I probably would’ve died if you didn’t come to save me, and I love seeing my childhood best friend all grown up and doing what he loves.”

“I love seeing my childhood best friend all grown up and doing what she loves.” Sanji responded, tapping your nose with one finger. You giggled at his touch, eliciting a laugh from him.

“Why do you always do that to me?” You asked through giggles.

“Because you always laugh when I do. And your laughter is adorable.” Sanji responded.

“You really are a gentleman, you know that?” You looked at him in the eyes, smiling at him.

“I strive to be one.”

“And that’s what I love about you, my dear prince.”

The two of you smiled at each other, staring into each other’s eyes, slowly being lulled into each other’s gaze. 

“You know, Y/N, you should stay here for a while.” Sanji proposed.

“I wish I could, but I can’t be seen with the Straw Hat Pirates. It wouldn’t be good for my kingdom.” “You won’t ever have to worry about that. All you have to do is just sit back and relax as we’ll go to Lunge to drop you off.”

“Really? You’d do that?”

“I’d do anything for you, my dear princess~” He leaned closer to you, whispering the last three words into your ear. Sanji stood up, taking your empty plate and putting it in the sink as he turned on the faucet.

You sat there, your cheeks flushed and jaw agape. When reality came back to you, you relaxed your shoulders, putting your arms on the table as you watched your childhood best friend wash the dishes, humming a nonexistent song to himself. Memories the two of you shared flooded your head, bringing a smile onto your face as you watched the boy who you once considered a stranger grow up to be the best friend you’ve ever had.
