Why are students given homework? Sure, it helps teachers to know if students understand what they are doing, but what about the stress it puts on our shoulders? The long nights we stay up just to finish one assignment that seems so important at the time. What about the severe stress and mental breakdowns it gives us? How can teachers sleep at night knowing that a student is currently at home feeling stupid and helpless because they still have 20 math problems left. Why do teachers say that you should ask questions but don't consider that some students have social anxiety and can't ask questions otherwise they'll have a severe breakdown. Why do we leave students behind? Why are students not cared about because they "aren't as smart" as other students. They deserve a chance. And yet we ignore them like they're trash on the side of the highway, just waiting to be put in a dump. They need help. How does assigning hours of homework help that student. It is impossible to empower a student who is up late trying to complete an assignment and is having a panic attack. Yes, I'll admit, teachers have it hard. But as a student, it is hard to sit back and watch my peers fail because teachers don't care enough about the ones that are failing. We need to put an end to this. When students have to pass up their social lives and childhood because of schoolwork, we know something has to change.

To continue with it

I just realized that I have to get myself up and to start picking up the pieces of my heart. I'm angry for completely stopping my world for him and I think now is the time to end this madness. I have to be myself again. I have to let him know who I am, that I'm better than what he's thinking of me. That I'm way much much better. Now, all those feelings are my motivation to become better and stronger. I won't make this as my motivation to make him regret someday but I will do this for myself. I will do this to help myself find it's true essence as a person. This will all make sense someday. For now, we have to get back on track, move on and end everything with him. I know someone out there is also finding me. Now is the time to accept the reality and to move forward to something beautiful and worthwhile. Better days are coming and I'm just getting excited.
