It's that time again...Infusion time. Not my favorite friend. I will be here for a few hours and of course what I dislike the most is finding a vein. After years of this torture my veins are tired so they like to play games of hide & seek. Not very funny on my end. Then comes the premeds....this comes with issues the size of horseshoe pills whereby I have problems swallowing to begin with because of a thyroid condition. Other than that Lupus is a piece of cake....j/k. Even though it is progressing to my brain CNS Lupus and I have Pulmonary Fibrosis this is my journey that I am PROUD of. Hello all! I said I would keep you abreast on my Pulmonologist appointments & various tests. I am healing like I stated. Unfortunately, I am diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's a condition that has no cure, but like Lupus can be treated. There is scarring of my lungs where the holes are that allow air to allow me to breathe are damaged and beyond repair. I never smoked a day in my life either. So this has nothing to do with smokers. It's something that happens and doctors have no explanation except for Autoimmune diseases. Anywho, I will be on more medication for the rest of my life. Again, I love you all!!! My mini me always helping me out especially now since I am out for the count. I thank God for him. This Heather was 3 years ago in a wheelchair. I underwent numerous surgeries and with Lupus it was absolutely dreadful. We were in vacation in the Dominican Republic. I finally attained my personalized wheelchair after fighting with insurance for very long. Anyway, I needed to post this photo and will post a few more wheelchair photos so many will understand how far I came to where I am now and continue on my journey. I may use forearm crutches now, but I can always return back to the chair. It's not my goal, but I am forever grateful I fight not to be in it.
