this might bring dishonor upon the good name of glamrockmike but,,/silly

so as my moots know i am playing fnaf ruin. now my special interest is mascot horror. i live sleep eat breathe and drink fnaf, batim, and the other games of its ilk.

HOWEVER. i am ASS at playing horror games. every inch i progress down a corridor or every door i open, i freeze, pause the game, jump out of my chair, or something equally cowardly. also i have a slight problem with doing things while looking the other direction. all of these things work together to make me one of the world’s worst horror games players.

disclaimer: I AM QUITE GOOD AT SECURITY BREACH. i have played it so many times that i literally know every secret and no longer fear the scares as extremely, and i am at least better than markiplier at it (if this is untrue i’m sorry mr fischbach i assume you’re only decent at it). the fear problem only crops up when playing something for the first time.

my problem? the one exception to the rules of my fear?

endoskeletons.

i cannot get past the PRIMORDIAL fear these disgusting toothy metal shitstrings invoke in me. no matter how many times i play security breach, i always falter in the Warehouse.

which is obvious to everyone except me, who has never watched any gameplay of ruin to avoid spoilers. so anyway, i got to the daycare. i couldn’t wait to hang out with eclipse. everything goes fine! then he throws me out. into a room. full of ENDOSKELETONS.

oh shit, I was thinking! oh shit, they will kill me! and so now you’re probably saying ‘mike, this isn’t disgraceful, interesting, or even that weird’

well yesterday i was attempting this section for the eighth time after never dying to a SINGLE endo. why the eighth time? BECAUSE EVERY TIME ONE ACTIVATED I FREAKED OUT AND QUIT THE ENTIRE GAME.

well, i got stuck. i activated the first two nodes just fine like always, but then i knew the bastards would start moving and so i hid in the gift shop, cursing my feeble bravado and there i remained.

my younger sisters like to watch me play five nights at freddy’s (ages 9 and 14). they also like to harass me for running into walls and hiding and for all of the previously mentioned behaviors.

MY NINE YEAR OLD SISTER WHO HAS NEVER PLAYED A HORROR GAME BEFORE IN HER LIFE TOOK THE CONTROLLER OUT OF MY SHAKING HANDS AND RAN, AVOIDING ALL THE ENDOSKELETONS AND ACTIVATING THE FINAL SECURITY NODE. SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS TO DO SHE DID IN THIRTY SECONDS. WITH NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH THE CONTROLS OR THE MAP

guys. my own nine year old sister. is the best five nights at freddy’s player i have ever seen. she did it with the detached finesse of a professional, a Nivala Gaming or BigGaming64 type.

i have never been rendered such a fool. i bow to her. i should let her run this account instead. i’m ashamed and in awe.

Specifically drew the fnaf1 Custom Night screen (with four other familiar faces added) since it's not usually drawn and because those pictures are quite iconic to the characters. psst, the fnaf font is consolas!

Got annoyed that I couldn't find stamps of my favorites. This happened. I think I included just about every SB/Ruin character, minus Ruined/Shattered variants (aside from Eclipse) and all the STAFF variants. Hope the two Endo and Blob fans in existence enjoy the stamps lol

A full page of Springtrap's "Anatomy" doodles for all you springlock enjoyers out there.

Initially I just wanted to draw a ref for myself, so I traced Springtrap's outline off of my laptop screen (twice) and drew over them. This was mostly done to 'get a feel' for the character since I wanted to get better at drawing them. Then I went ham adding details inspired by lore, springlock videos, and fan theories, along with some of my own ideas. I looked up multiple references for the endoskeleton too. Nakey Springtrap is funny.

Eventually I want to draw each layer properly in better detail, with in-depth descriptions, and do a better job of making sense of the springlock mechanism. Consider this a rough draft.

I went through and tidied up each and every letter and did my best to recreate the background from the preview. Also I inverted the colors and went with a blueprint style to mask the creepiness of the original, which can be seen below. vvv

sometime in late 2023 i had a fnaf x beatles au idea that originally started as a one off joke but fuckkk the idea is so stupid i have to make it real. ill learn clickteam fusion if i have to instead of actual animatronics, theyre cheap wax statues in a beatles museum type establishment (if that makes sense??) and to save on wax, the company that made the statues used scrapped endoskeletons as a base for the wax which is why they can move at night or whatever idk theyre not actually evil theyre kinda just REALLY annoying and they do really inconvenient things during the night in hopes itll piss off the guard and they just. go home. like if this was a game, george is the only one that'd have a jumpscare

Ten years of FNaF 2!!!!

this game was the one that first got me into fnaf actually, this was the one my older brother played and injected into my smooth developing young child brain!

it was some variant of fnaf2-in-real-life that we played in the kitchen too where he was the nightguard and i had to be chica. because of gender...

Week 4/16: I'm back from my break, and I'm personally really happy with how I transformed each of the withered animatronics (plus Endo-02) into pixel art designs.

Some parts look a little weird if you look too closely, but that's common with pixel art, especially something this detailed for its size. It definitely looks better when not viewed in a close up.

Next week's characters are looking a little...green. This isn't a colour scheme that's going to be easy to work with, that's for sure.
