Sorry if im not active that much at the moment. School is beating me to oblivion (I'm srsly drowning in school work)

“Yeah I can see that.” Hiccup said playfully until he saw the woman he was helping out, it was Lauren, he remembered her from Berk. He remembered the way she would tease him, well he was teased by everyone, but he remembered her in particular. She had grown up and grown more beautiful, still to see her here after all of this time when everyone thought she was dead was quite a shock. 

Suddenly Hiccup heard the others around him, they had come to help him with the woman that had fallen from the sky randomly and they were going to see what he was seeing right now. This was amazing that an old friend they thought was dead was now here and back in their lives, at least for now. 

Thats when another night fury came up to Lauren and this particularly interested Hiccup and Toothless, “Yeah there are a lot of questions. First off, what happened to you? You were on Berk and then whoosh you were gone and no one knew what happened to you. Second, how did you find another night fury? I thought Toothless here was like the last of his kind.” Hiccup said curious about his old friend and how she got here with a night fury.

The uncharted island was quiet as the sun began to set. Most dragons in the area retreated to their preferred places of rest, while others woke after a day’s full rest. The sky’s bright blue gradually turned to hues of pink and orange.. until finally a stark black, only light being that from the moon, and the many stars surrounding it.

A young Night Fury laid near a small cave alcove’s opening- watching the final moments of colour leave the sky, and listening to the melody her human sang under her breath. Echo, as the dragon had been named, purred in content, as the scent of smoked fish travelled over to where she laid.

Lauren stood at a table not far from the fire, where she chopped up a small handful of herbs into fine pieces. “We lucked out spotting that bush of wild mint today, girl.” She said, briefly glancing over her shoulder at her dragon as she worked. “I think it’ll give a bit of a freshness to it.”

The Night Fury stood up with a low whine; becoming impatient for her food. “Yeah yeah, I know, you don’t care.” She made her way over to where her human stood, brushing into her side, looking for attention. Lauren smiled, turning to scratch just under her jowls - the dragon purring in response. “You just want your food.”

Emotions, Walls, & Souls

You ever wake up one day and everything inside of you feels different? The way your skin crawls at something that didn’t have the same effect before, the way your ears process certain words you’ve heard before, the way your nose reacts to the same smell of your home as if it were something new...Even the way your heart beats for someone you had already known. Emotions are a son of a bitch. One day some can simply be your friend and the next? Well, I think you get the point. If you’re anything like me, I try to stray away from my emotions. I really try to just leave that shit on the back burner. I never try to have feelings for someone, and I guess you never really do. The difference between me and you? I block it off. I deny it. I fight it. I allow myself to believe that no one can break down the walls that I’ve built around myself. The home with a warm fire that I’ve build around my heart. Around my soul. I don’t want to let anyone in. That’s how people hurt you. And I? Well I don’t deal with pain very well. If you’re one of the people that can relate to me, then I guess you know exactly how I feel. One of the problems with having walls is that when they start to crumble, sometimes it happens so fast you don’t know how to stop it. It’s like have the iconic duo of the angel and demon on your shoulders. The angel is soft and gentle. Reassuring. Comforting. Telling you just to take it one day at a time and slowly patch it up. But the demon? He’s a persistent motherfucker. “Let's just grab a wrecking ball and knock the whole wall down! It’s already broken, why fix it?” He says. “Let it all come in”, he says. “Stop fighting and give up”, he says. Some of us can be calm and take the advice of an angel. However, some of us tend to give in to the demon, because he had been our friend for so long, we seem to think that he has all the answers. It’s like being lost within your conscious. When you no longer have the right answers, you put your mind into auto-pilot. Not even caring about what the worst that could happen is. Just as easy as the flip of the switch. Just...Turn. It. Off. The weakest thing about me is my soul, and as much as I wish I could live without it, I can’t.
