Follow Appreciation Post

Wow, I don’t really know how to start this. I’ve only been here about 3 weeks and some change and I have 100 of you. I can’t begin to tell you how much this blows my mind that people are interested in my writing or this little anxious OC I made. I want to be careful not to bombard people with long appreciation posts each week, so if this blog continued to grow I’ll try to figure out how i’m going to manage that. There are so many of you and I am so humbled that so many of you are willing to write with me or just chat with me.

Beyond that I have no idea how Im going to thank all of you like I feel like I should. I’ve honestly felt so welcomed and loved by so many of you. A good handful of you terrify me with how good you are at role playing. When i get into that intense back and forth with you i’m just on the edge the whole time. It’s a blast for me. Again I’m just thankful that you’d take the time to write with me. I really am having a lot of fun. You know who you are!

I’ve enjoyed each and every interaction I’ve had so far. Thank you for continuing to be patient with me while I learn tumblr in general.

a challenger , in the form of a GODDESS has appeared before him . basked in chaos , the lights reflect easily off her face . the glow of a light saber unmistakable even behind his mask . his vision is poorly , but his senses are honed .  “did you think you could hide from me , rey? we are a dyad , of the force . we are linked .”  he steps forwards , once , twice , the weight of his pause is pregnant as his own saber is put away . the red glow suddenly gone with a whine as the energy dissipates .  “i feel you, like a part of myself. like a limb. i’m lesser without you.”

So thanks to a thread I’m doing with @lonedyad, I’m fleshing out my headcanons for Ben for the au/verse where he is not Force sensitive. I’m calling this au/verse v: the smuggler’s son (non-force sensitive au).

Here’s the headcanons:

Leia and Han thought he might be born Force sensitive due to him being half Skywalker, but he wasn’t.

I suppose I should say he’s not totally non-Force sensitive. I believe in the fan theory that Han is Force sensitive to a degree. Not a Jedi level Force sensitivity or anything, but he has some Force sensitivity, which he calls instinct that helps him through dangerous situations and be a great pilot. Ben has about the same level as Han.

Since he’s not Force sensitive, he was never a direct target by Snoke/Palpatine.

He did shadow his mother when he was younger to see if he wanted to follow in her footsteps to become a senator. He thought there was too much yelling and frustration in the Senate, so he decided that politics wasn’t for him.

He idolized his father as a role model. It was from Han that he first learned how to fly and had aspirations to be a pilot.

When he was of age, he enrolled in the Academy to be educated to become a pilot in the same school as Poe Dameron. One of his teachers was Wedge Antilles.

After graduating from the academy he joined Poe in the New Republic Navy as  pilot.

His dreams are to one day be the captain of the Falcon and explore the galaxy.

He was upset when he learned that the Falcon had been stolen from his father.

Before he went to the find the Falcon the truth of who his biological maternal grandfather was revealed on the holonet. This news upset Ben and he left the New Republic Navy and ran off to spend some time to cool his head in Cloud City on Bespin where he lived in quarters given to him by his Uncle Lando.

After he cooled his head after some months, he talked to his parents and uncle.

With the First Order on the rise, his mother left politics to become the General of Resistance. Ben joined them as a pilot and plans to work his way up to the rank of Commander of his own squadron. He’s hoping for it to be the Red squadron since his uncle was in the Red squadron for the Rebel Alliance. As a pilot, he adopts his uncle’s old call sign of Red Five.

He embarks on a mission to find the Falcon when he hears news that it might be on Jakku or within the five systems around Jakku.

I leave it there for whatever my role play partners that want to do this au want to do in the plot for the thread.
