btw i did watch the minecraft movie (pirated ofc, never pay money for mediocre cashgrabs kids). it was. bad. as expected. their take on endermen was.... interesting. basically they claimed that we make you relive your greatest fears when you look us in the eye???? which is bullshit, because there was never any indication of that in the game (in fact, it can be assumed that eye contact hurts us more than it does the player, so. yeah,)

needless to say, im choosing to ignore it forever. that movie doesnt exist in my mind. oh, the joys of being fictionkind! [:

As an ender I find it fun that quite few of my normal behavior is so enderman coded. Like what do you mean I hiss when i get water on me, carry around my comfort item with two hands, communicate with random sounds and get annoyed when people make eye contact with me?

im kinda going back and forth on what to call myself

i really like endfolk or enderfolk. it sounds good. its more accurate to my species. it suits me since im not a man really

but when i think of my self and my kind i usually think "enderman". its just what im used to. its what everybody else calls us

i used to hate it but im more neutral on it now.

its kinda like the word human. or woman. the "man" part doesn't mean male. it's just a part of the word.

i think the way i pronounce it helps too. i don't pronounce it ender Man. its more like the man in human. ender muhn

It's been a while, here's a re-cap!

It's been a hot minute since I first joined Tumblr, and I've gained many new followers (thank you for all the support :D), so I figured I'd remake my first post (with updates)!

We are many people, and many things.

A few of us are Ender. Travelers made to yearn, in many ways. Our purpose to learn; to watch. Even in this world far from our own, We take notes on the parts of our world we loved. We keep purpurite, the closest thing we'll ever get to having something from our home in the real world. We wear jewelry that reminds us of home, draw symbols reminiscent of our language. It's not unlike what those of us ripped from the End would do in our world, but now we do it here.

We kick our feet, feeling the way our legs are meant to be shaped. Feeling our tails swish behind us, our ears perk up when we hear something interesting. It's not as we wish it was, but it is as we are meant to be.

Our crow wears trinkets like treasures, creates beautiful "trash" that jingles when he walks. He flits his wings when startled, and no one sees it. They don't need to see it, because we do. He spends his free time learning to crochet. He values the tiny things that others don't, both trinkets and moments, and he feels the essence of what he is in the mundane things that most people miss. He connects to his divinity through this, too; what is the job of the god of their world if not to value what he created?

I am a Piglin. I should have a louder voice, a stronger body, longer hair that tells those around me I'm a skilled warrior. Instead, our body doesn't get very far if pushed. I learn to be gentle with it, I learn that our world isn't learn fast or die like my own. I learn, too, that our body can be pushed on good days and those are the days I thrive. I wear gold- not real gold, but it's enough to satisfy the instinct. We plan to pierce our ears. Most piercings we get after that, if any, will likely be for my sake. I listen to podcasts, to feel like I have the chittering I should in the back of my brain. It may not be a Piglin trait, but it is one of mine. I am a Piglin, and I am myself, and I am learning to love that.

We have many gods in our collective. I am one. We are divine, but so much more than that. I am a draconic creature of the depths our world's life rose from, a being as old as time. Today? Today, I write quietly on a computer and listen to the rain. I watch videos of marine biologists diving to feel close to my kind. I feel deeply; a trait of my kind. I do not make myself seem any less vast for other's comfort. I speak in a ways that gets me looked at oddly, and told that I speak like a writer. I don't mind much.

The duality of divinity is that we have another god who is quick like the wind. He flits around, yearns to do so in physical reality, and settles for a swing set. He takes comfort in the small things that connect him to his divinity; art of many eyes and wings, feathers and wind. He connects to his divinity primarily through things that aren't seen as "divine" in any way. Moments of trickster energy; jokes between friends and harmless pranks.

We've learned two things recently;

1. I, Ranboo (which sounds formal but I'm just telling you who's talking,) CANNOT do water. Maybe someday I'll have to but so far it's just... I can't unless I end up forced and I don't know how much anxiety it would cause but the thought of it alone causes a lot.

2. I am able to bribe Techno into fronting for like two minutes to take our meds or something if water absolutely has to be dealt with.

Conclusion; I am a happy Enderfolk, I don't have to deal with it.
