#Repost @u2 ・・・ If you're an American, you're an AIDS activist… 25 million lives saved in the past 20 years thanks to bipartisan support for @PEPFAR and courageous African health care workers and activists like Agnes Nyamayarwo (swipe to see us in 2002) who fought to turn the tide on one of the world's deadliest pandemics -- and succeeded. From President Bush in 2003 to President Biden today, the bipartisan coalition to stop this virus -- which has taken 40 million lives -- remains strong… and sometimes appears like the only thing both sides can agree on!! Beyond honored to join @FLOTUS and her guests at last night’s #SOTU on behalf of @ONE. Thank you @POTUS and all of our allies from both parties who are fighting to #endAIDS. We’re not done. - Bono https://www.instagram.com/p/CocXBqbowNK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

We will never stop remembering.
We will never stop missing you.
The thought of your smile is pain and comfort.
We have come a long way but we lost so many during the journey.
One day Ian....♥️

🌍🔴 Today, on #WorldAIDSDay, we stand in solidarity to raise awareness and show support in the fight against HIV/AIDS. 🎗️ Initiated by @WHO in 1988, this day has been a beacon of hope, shedding light on the impact of HIV/AIDS globally. Each year carries a specific theme, highlighting crucial aspects of prevention, treatment, and support. Since 1996, @UNAIDS has been at the forefront, driving initiatives and uniting nations in the battle against this pandemic. This year, the theme <<insert specific theme if available>> emphasizes the need for unity and collective action to overcome stigma and discrimination. Let's recommit ourselves to education, prevention, and accessible healthcare. Together, we can create a world where everyone lives free from discrimination and has access to proper care and support. 🤝💊 Join us in spreading awareness, advocating for comprehensive healthcare, and supporting those affected. Let's work together to achieve an AIDS-free future! 🌟 #EndAIDS #GlobalHealth #Awareness #UnityAgainstAIDS #HealthForAll #EndStigma #UNAIDS #WAD2023 #ImpressDestination #Hotelsdirect24 #MICEsupply4you #MICE #Events #Tourism #dmcprofs

The stigma associated with HIV/AIDS has been, and for many still is, a heavy burden to bear. This is where compassion plays a pivotal role. By approaching those affected with an open heart, listening to their stories without judgment, and treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve, we can break down the walls of prejudice and discrimination. Compassion reminds us that behind every statistic is a human with dreams, hopes, and feelings.
With the theme being Remember and Commit. Let us arm ourselves with accurate information and a heart full of empathy. By doing so, we not only support those directly affected by HIV/AIDS but also contribute to a broader societal shift towards understanding and acceptance. Together, we can create a world where fear and stigma are replaced by knowledge and compassion.
