      “ this is some nice work,   ” Spike commented, looking at the paintings that hung neatly on the walls. while he was no art connoisseur, he could recognize that there was fine craftsmanship involved and, clearly, they had been done with utmost care and an understanding of the mediums used. either gentle and easy strokes, or thick and angry swipes upon canvas.   each varied a range of subjects.     “  ------ you sellin’ this stuff?   ” not that Spike planned on buying, but he was CURIOUS. truly, the hunter didn’t know what he would do with a painting.

👣 || “I notice that you are a painter” John pointed out when a glimp of the painting catched his interest. He tried to look what she had been working on and when he knew what it was, it caused him to reveive a wave of emotions. He recognized the foliage, the whole view.

Was she drawing the jungle? If so, had she ever been there before or was this just created out of her fantasy and if it was created like this...Why did it feel so oddly familiar?

White knuckle grip against the railing, the musician tried not to look down, aware that it would only make his fear worse. Maggie had found the oddest places to camp out sometimes and he, the simple man he was, followed her lead with no complaints.

Now, with eyes squeezed shut, he grit his teeth and refused to look at anything. “Can we go back down now- por favor?”

It was any other day for them. Wake up. Have breakfast, enjoy time together before work was called upon. He didn’t have class that day, but he had promised his time for a few of his more prominent parents of his students. These were the type of days where Héctor felt he could be more at ease throughout the day... and Maggie was off after her lunch shift. A night together seemed like a perfect escape.

With all that running in his head; or the lack of much else, he didn’t think as he spoke. Instinct took over as he opened the passenger car door for her, kissing her cheek in that mild fashion that was all too innocent. A wish of a good day - pero. 

“ I love you. ”

Fuck. It took him a second or two, understanding what he said, as he embraced her. What should he do? What should he say? He wasn’t about to take a statement like that back! It had been thought of, but dios mio. A brick dropped in his stomach. Shit like this wasn’t said on a whim. It would probably be best, if he let her go, smile, and get out to think.

“You’re rather deep in these woods.” A soft voice comments from behind Maggie. A tall woman carrying a couple grocery bags and blankets in her arms. To be fair, they were both still on the marked trails, but it was rare Ma’iingan would see any humans come THIS far on this old trail.

“You know there’s a wolf pack living in this area. I hear one of the females is heavily pregnant too.” Which meant the pack would be on high alert, very protective of the mother and the new members of their family. “You should be careful." She smiles and nods to the other woman before passing her with her items in her arms... and then steps off the trail, pushing her way through the thick branches and bushes surrounding them, giving the stranger one last glance and a smile. Perhaps a goodbye, or an invite to follow her.

I thought that it’s about religion, but the question is not about religion, but it’s too late, I already wrote this reply.

I position myself as an atheist, but my family is a typical family where Orthodoxy has acquired a feature that borders on old pagan rites (which were adapted for Orthodoxy) and has become more of a habit and doesn’t have anything with true faith. My family doesn’t have any special traditions that would distinguish us from the rest, but I’m aware of local traditions and I can explain them, although I don’t participate in local rituals and, frankly, I don’t want to know anything about them, because they are so distorted that it makes me sick.
