The conversation had been abrupt enough that it startled the brunette, having her turn on a dime and whipping around to face him. Her Delphox, Merlin, whipped out his wand in a way that he could be half protective of Ashe in stance but also let off a warning of sorts with gaze alone that the man had better back off, flames sparking at the end of it, and the Delphox moving his head slowly in a way that sharp eyes were locked straight onto the blond’s. 

Taking a moment to compose herself and register the question, she felt her Empatheon’s ribbon slide around her arm while also sharp blue eyes from him met the man as well, fur bristling. “... Who’s asking... and why...?”

I joke around a lot about how I would pay So Much Money for a Pokemon: Eevee Version where the entire selling point is finally giving us an eeveelution for all 18 types and also some dual-types.

And then I saw this:

And I am no longer joking.

With 171 potential combinations, it is entirely feasible to make a Pokemon game centered around Eevee.

Why? Because Eevee deserves it. And because we have had an egregious dearth of new Eeevee content since Sylveon dropped.

Here’s my pitch:

The region you live in is an island where Eevee basically became the endemic dominant organism. (If Gamefreak really wants to fuck around and find out, they could play around with real-life evolutionary theory concepts. They’ve used recent games to teach kids about stuff like environmentalism and conservation and energy/power production, so why not?)

The Pokemon Professor in the game will be a distant relative of, idk, Professor Rowan or Professor Sycamore, who decided that studying Pokemon evolution is too broad and decided to focus on what really matters: Eevee and Eevee-Associated Phenomena.

The player is tasked with filling out the Eeveedex.

The gym leaders still specialize in particular types, but they still only use Eeveelutions, of course. A fire-type leader can have Flareon as their signature ‘mon, sure, but for the rest of their team it’ll be dual fire types. Which might actually add to the difficulty level, especially if you get some weird type combos like fire/grass, because then you can’t just walk in and annihilate their entire team with a single not-overleveled water type unless it’s got some appropriate moves.

The Elite Four follows the same trend but with trickier type combos. The Champion has a six-Pokemon team full of the most seemingly contradictory type combos, like fire/water and normal/ghost. And lots of unexpected movesets, like the absolute badass that is Cynthia.

In the post-game Professor Oak will show up to give you the National Dex and you can have access to other ‘mons, as a treat, but until then? You get Eevee and its various -eons. It’s Eevee’s time to shine, which means Eevee and -eons only.

(I might make one (1) exception. There can be That One Fisherman with an entire team of Magikarp, if Gamefreak insists on carrying on that trope. Or he could just have a team of six Vaporeon that only know Splash. I’m willing to compromise.)

Ashe might have caught sight of Sabrina wandering about and immediately hid herself. She doesn't know the extent of her powers but at least appear small -- try too -- she tells herself. It doesn't help her Empatheon is with her and he's radiating the biggest psychic energy of all. He doesn't seem as bothered as his trainer for reasons unknown, but his trainer... she does. Sabrina might have given her a headache during the opening announcement with her presence. Whoops. (kokorowoutsu/PWT)

In a small clearing of a dark forest, a strange meeting occured. A meeting quite odd, indeed. The empatheon was not supposed to be in an area like that, in fact the luxray had only the slightest clue of what the smaller pokemon was. It took quite some explaining, initially, the house pet not really knowing much about the larger pokemon either. What happens when a plush city pet gets stuck in the mountains with only a stoic loner? And why are they there? What will this life turn out like? Find out within.

-- Ashe: Steel-Type Allergy

Besides seasonal allergies like anyone else, Ashe has a major allergy to steel-types. She relies heavily on Morgan’s Blessing, the oil that her mother made to help treat the steel that steel-types grow on their bodies, or they’re made of... but pray tell, what does Ashe do if she has to deal with ‘normal people and their pokemon’ so to speak without giving away her secret of being a Changeling? 

 If she can, she’s going to stay away from the pokemon, but let’s say she has a gym battle she has to overcome, well, that falls into items that Ashe has purchased and had coated. Her butterfly clip she wears during the warmer months is one of these items. It provides a shield of sorts to this allergy -- at least for a time. At most she can’t spend more then a week in a place full of steel-types without taking better measures which would require more items she’s coated.

When it comes to multiverse shenanigans or event-type things, Ashe still remains a Changeling but being she’s more or less sleeping in her timeline and projecting herself into another, she remains unaffected and it means she’s unable to use any magic either. This explains why her pokemon all look like normal pokemon that are commonly widespread ( ie. Lucky being an Empatheon but appearing as a Sylveon while he was present during the PWT ‘23. )

#??? - On rare occasion, an Eevee can be affected by more than one environmental factor, and reacts to grow into a new, rare evolution. It is virtually unheard of to find Empatheon naturally in the wild; rather, they can be found among Trainers and families as life long companions. An Eevee will only evolve into a Psychic/Fairy type when it has been raised from a young age by an individual with whom it has built a strong relationship of trust, affection, and friendship - and has not been exposed to any conflicting stimuli. They exude an intoxicating aura from the gem on their chest that weakens feelings of hostility and anxiety, as well as heightens endorphin production. As a result, they are known to be excellent emotional support Pokemon. Empatheon are able to sense the intentions anyone who draws near, and will use their psychic abilities to viciously attack any opponent who wishes harm to their loved ones. Though they are not typically fighters at heart, they are very capable in battle, and are unfleeting in their protection of those they care for.

Not a big deal or anything, but your link to empatheon takes me straight to feebas and milotic's middling stage for some reason. Just wanted to met you know in case it was you and not tumblr mobile being dumb!

Ah, thank you. It’s not me this time, it’s Tumblr. For whatever reason, when I share a link to one of my posts, the link is redirected to in-progress Feebas. This seems to happen on Androids only. I have no idea why this is happening, as the links are correct. But apparently if you scroll down, the right post will be underneath the Feebas post. 

I’ve written to Tumblr support to try to figure out this odd issue. So we’ll uh, see how that goes. In the mean time, I guess I’ll start adding a disclaimer when I post a link??
