Emma Woodhouse is a congenial young lady who delights in meddling in other people’s affairs. She is perpetually trying to unite men and women who are utterly wrong for each other. Despite her interest in romance, Emma is clueless about her own feelings, and her relationship with gentle Mr. Knightly. Credits: TheMovieDb. Not for any serious problems, but rather due to minor decisions that were made in the script. I expected to see more of Emma’s visit to Miss Bates, for example, after she is shamed into repenting her treatment of the silly woman. Other than that I enjoyed the movie well enough. The acting and the script were consistently good except for those moments I mentioned, and I would probably be willing to watch it again someday. Filipe Manuel Neto: **A futile and silly Emma to be taken seriously, but entertaining and has some good moments.** Jane Austen is one of the great writers in the English language and her work has been fertile ground for adaptations and reinterpretations in theatre, television and cinema. From trash to luxury, there’s no shortage of options, and each one stands out for one reason or another. This film was inspired by one of the author’s novels about a charismatic and dreamy young woman who takes pleasure in gathering acquaintances and friends, and playing matchmaker. The problem is that, deep down, she herself feels lonely and doesn’t really see a man capable of making h...

I’ve put Henrik and John at Oskar’s Sports Day, and Jac is there too! Pure, unadulterated, fluffy domestic fluff, so fluffy it has its own dust bunnies. So fluffy I had to write some hardcore smut afterwards (in a different story!) to prove I hadn’t turned fuzzy for good....
Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Holby City Rating: General Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: John Gaskell/Henrik Hanssen Characters: Henrik Hanssen, John Gaskell, Oskar Johansson, Jac Naylor, Emma Naylor Additional Tags: One Shot, Sports Day, Grandparents & Grandchildren, Gay Couple, Domestic Fluff, Fluff and Humor, School, Based on a Tumblr Post, Holby City AU, Happy Family Summary:
Written after being given a writing prompt, "If you want, we can go together," with Johnrik.
It's Oskar's first Sports Day, and he wants Henrik and John to be there. All the other parents and grandparents will be bringing picnics and making an afternoon of it, so Henrik and John don't want Oskar to miss out.
Then Jac Naylor arrives, and opens his eyes to the true meaning of Sports Day (basically, Win At All Cost!)
Set in an alternative universe where Henrik and John are a couple but haven't yet said so publicly, and Oskar and Gemma go to the same private school.
Daft, fuzzy fluff.

The friendship between Jac and Mo is one of the best. Especially if you consider how they started; as rivals.
Jac has very few female friends which is what makes her friendship with Mo all the more special.
Now if we could have Auntie Mo and Emma interaction then I'd be a happy bunny

My predictions for ‘the kiss’...
Fletch tries to get Jac to talk about their feelings.
She insisted they’re just friends.
Fletch finally gives in to his feelings and kisses her.
She reacts badly/is surprised (and maybe even slaps him?!).
They then try to avoid each other because it’s now ‘awkward’ (although we all know Jac cares about him and is just scared of getting too close. I mean come on - the hand holding scene after he ‘almost loses’ her <3).
UNTIL Emma (the adorable little Naylor who just loves her ‘Uncle Fletch’) is on the ward and works with Frieda to match-make her mum and Fletch because even she knows they’re supposed to be together by now.
And Jac decides that actually, getting close isn’t that bad (especially if Emma likes him) and she kisses him back.
And they all live happily ever after. <— this is Jac Naylor and the BBC, they’re not going to let that bit happen.

Don’t make promises you don’t know if you can keep, Fletch, especially not to a kid.
