Do you know which comic it was in which Mirror Master and Flash went to that college leadership class together?
Oh yes, that's Flash v1 #146! I like that 'Mirror Master and Flash go to a college leadership class' isn't even the strangest part of the story. Bless everything about the Silver Age.

The Jackie Emi betrayal comes from the reveal that Ko is Emi's kid, right? Like Jackie took Ko in because she wanted to help it and it had no place to go and meanwhile Emi over here is talking about how good it is to protect your child and care for them, BUT JACKIE HAS BEEN DOING THAT FOR KO BECAUSE EMI WOULDN'T. I-
EXACTLY. And by the time she finds out Emi is Ko's biological mother, it's too late to chew her out. She can't yell at someone who's dead. She just has to sit with this fury and betrayal, knowing Emi was a terrible parent that Jackie got tricked into trusting, having to turn that anger into something productive by being a better mother to the Uchiyamas than Emi was.

Nights that you woke up alone in the bed you shared with your boyfriend weren't that unusual. Well now they were getting fewer and fewer in between but they still happened. Ever since Emi left things have been harder again. Not like they were before, they were better but there was still a kind of loneliness there that you weren't sure what to do about.
Kenji knew that he did the right thing, he was the best father he could have been, and to you the best boyfriend he could have been at the time. But even now when he saved everyone, when his career was thriving once again, when his relationship was better than ever he still found himself walking back and forth in the living room late at night.
"Can't sleep?" Kenji jumped at the sudden sound of your voice and the sight of you leaning against the doorframe in your nightgown. "
"Big game tomorrow. You know me, I'm super excited." He lied through a smile and a cocky wink. Tiredness and fear rested heavy on his shoulders, making him slump a little.
You sighed and guided him back into the bedroom, hand in hand. He didn't resist, he dragged his feet along, hair falling messy across his eyes.
"You know you can tell me anything, right Ken?" You let him lay on his side and you were right next to him, your hand in his, face to face.
"I... I always thought a life like this was all I wanted. Baseball, fame, freedom... you. And then Emi happened and I became Ultraman. I think I'm still Ultraman, I know I am... I should be! I should be happy! I still have you!" He chewed his bottom lip intensely, giving it a dark pink color. "Who am I without you?"
The question came so silently, unexpectedly.
As the silence dragged on Kenji's eyes met yours, his hand gripping yours tighter. "That's a weird question coming from you. You're who've you've always been. You're Kenji Sato." You leaned in and kissed that pinkish spot on his lip. "You're the famous baseball star with fangirls that make me want to carry a bat around." You kissed him again, on the corner of his lips. "You're Ultraman, the hero who saves people without hesitation." You placed your free hand on the back of his neck and pressed your lips against his, "You were an amazing dad to Emi, and if you want, one day you can be an amazing dad to someone else."
"A-Are you..." His eyes went to your stomach.
"No, but maybe in the future. It's cute how you immediately got your hopes up." You saw him pout at that. "And that is even cuter. The point is you don't have to try to be just one thing, not for me or anyone else. To me you're Kenji. The stubborn, hotheaded man that won't my heart with that stupid charming smile of yours." And like a switch that turned on that same smile greeted you moments later.

help my friend emi pay for their car repair bill!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi, my name's Everett, and I'm raising money for my friend, Emi (@doodadoodles), to cover the costs of car repair! after taking their car in for a tune-up, emi was told that their car was leaking water into the motor and corroding it. this means that the motor itself will need to be replaced, as well as any other affected parts. their only mode of transportation to and from work is their car, so it's vitally important that it gets repaired ASAP.
ideally, we'd like to raise $700 to cover the tune-up, the parts, and the ensuing repairs. emi lives in Mexico, and thus cannot set up a Gofundme campaign on their own. we've been friends for nearly a decade, and it would really mean a lot if you could donate a few bucks. All of the donated money will be sent to Emi. Thank you!
130/$700
alternatively, if you'd like to donate directly to emi instead of through the fundraiser, you can also send her money on ko-fi!

Random Emi & Jamemi scenes, part 4
I suppose it's worth mentioning that the second one is kinda suggestive?
You can find more information on my yuusona Emi and her relationship with Jamil here on the masterlist.
Tumblr media
Emi, sometime after book 5, still blissfully unaware that Malleus is an actual dragon: I mean, I do like dragons a lot. There’s just something cool about them, you know?
Jamil, remembering how casual Emi was with Malleus when he came to fix the SDC stage, reading way too much into her words and trying so hard to remain chill: Is that so?
Tumblr media
Emi’s generally fairly proper, even kinda innocent when interacting with others. She doesn’t usually much care for crass topics, and has scolded / side-eyed ADeuce (probably mostly Ace tbh) before for being inappropriate.
Which means it KOs Jamil even harder when at some point Emi’s all “I may be generally afraid of snakes, but I’m sure I could handle the one in your pants". (I swear I was sitting on this concept so long trying to come up with something clever for her to say to get the vibe across. But I guess the corny option works too?)
Basically, she’s not as innocent as she seems (which... not that much of a surprise if you consider her reading history). And sometimes she just can’t resist dropping something more lewd, because the joke or the witty opportunity presents itself just right.
Besides, she kinda loves getting a reaction with something like that - and I have a feeling that the first times she drops something suggestive with Jamil, for example, he's just so unprepared for it that Emi definitely gets to enjoy the reaction she's angling for.
Though Emi will also love it if they can get a whole bantery thing going on with Jamil, flirty (or even dirty) or not.
Tumblr media
Books definitely were one of Emi's refuges when she first got into Twisted Wonderland. But even later on, once she and Jamil are together, Emi sometimes just gets stuck in a book, reading well into the night.
And when they’re at the point where they’re sharing a home, Jamil will often come find Emi those nights and drag her to bed.
Totally just because he’s worried about her not getting enough sleep - nothing to do with the bed feeling empty without Emi there.
(Jamil may also have resorted to confiscating Emi's book - or phone, if that's what she's reading on - a few times. Totally just for her benefit.)
Tagging: @scint1llat3 @diodellet @moonyasnow @bibi-cha
If anyone else would like to be tagged for Emi / jamemi things, just let me know!

At first sight II Chapter Eleven
(m!reader x Bonten!Haruchiyo Sanzu)
Fluff/slash/reader is male/cursing/BontenTimeline/drugs and alcohol mentioned/violence/blood/death
All characters that appeared in the Tokyo Revengers manga and anime belong to Ken Wakui.
Words: 3201
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Mai knows?”
“Does she know about what?”
“About your budding problems with Emi?”
“Why would she know? She has her own problems and doesn’t need to know about mine.” You were sitting in the passenger seat of a vacant parking space near your apartment. As fate would have it, it started raining shortly after you entered the nightclub owned by your old gang mates. Sure enough, the weather forecast for today was spot on. “It’s not really a problem, it’s just a momentary lack of trust, that’s all.”
“Really?” Tomoko shifted behind the wheel to get a better look at you. “Y/n look at me.”
Your eyes followed the raindrops that were sliding down the window, sparkling in the light of the nearby streetlamps.
“Y/n.” This time you listened and were surprised by what you saw on the woman's face. Concern was written all over it. “I know how much you cared about building a good relationship and starting a family, but maybe Emi isn't the one you were waiting for?”
“If you're referring to what happened ages ago, then you're wrong. It can be fixed. Emi is not like Emiko.”
“I never said she was.” Tomoko looked away for a split second before meeting your eyes again. “I know Emi seemed mature and sensible to you, but you have to admit to yourself that you’ve been spending more and more time apart.”
“I have a lot of work to do, and the new murders aren’t helping to reduce it, that’s all.”
“Y/n.”
“Really. I have an appointment with Emi’s father to talk…”
“Huh?” She blinked a few times in surprise. “Old Nakayabashi wants to talk to you?”
“Actually, he wants to explain everything to me, from the very beginning.” You leaned the back of your head against the headrest and began to watch the raindrops again. “He was surprised that his daughter hid the fact that she had been suspended from work from me. He even asked me if she had taken any drugs... I have no idea what this is about, because I have never heard anyone say that Emi has ever taken illegal substances. She even avoids medication...”
“Maybe it was the medication, not necessarily the drugs themselves.” You looked at her and raised an eyebrow, to which Tomoko shrugged. “It's not uncommon for some people to become addicted to strong painkillers.” She sighed quietly. “You know how it was with mom.”
“Mom was sick and this helped her.” Your tone had become a little dry, but you had to admit your sister was right. “Emi never mentioned any injuries or other health issues.”
“Maybe it’s something you don’t need to know about because it doesn’t really interfere with her functioning and she’s just being dramatic?” She looked at you again. “Or there’s something you can’t find out about.”
“Are you suggesting she keeps more secrets from me?”
The dark-haired woman shrugged in response, and you tightened your hand on the pocket of your jacket, where you had stuffed a large stack of bills about 2 hours ago. Tomoko gave you a small percentage of her own profit for the sake of a damaged shirt. Sanzu tore your collar on one side, but it could have ended with something much worse.
“Whatever. Her old man wants to talk to you, okay. So be it. I guess this will be the first time he’s ever approached you, huh?”
“Yeah. Surprising, huh?”
“Very. Maybe even suspicious.”
“Suspicious?” You looked at your sister. “What the hell would he do to me?”
“Sell you to his wife?”
“Fuck, Ko-chan…” You rubbed your forehead with your hand and pinched the bridge of your nose. “Are you serious?”
“How do you know what Emi told her? The old bitch might want revenge on you. You know old Nakayabashi would eat shit if she forced him to, and he’d thank her too.”
You winced, trying not to imagine it. “You’re disgusting, you know that? Besides… Why do you keep asking me about her. What does it matter to you whether I want to clarify a few things with her or not? It’s my business whether I want to reconcile with her and commit to her for the rest of my life or break up and…” You fell silent and, not knowing what to say next, you closed your mouth.
There was silence in the car, interrupted only by raindrops gently hitting the windows and body of the car.
“You know, little brother…” Tomoko spoke after a few minutes, and the gentleness of her tone made you look at her more closely. “Mai knew what she wanted, and it was easier for her to arrange her life. I knew what I wanted and since I couldn’t get it, I’m going to destroy it.” She smiled at you sadly. “Don’t try to preach morals to me.” Her face twisted unpleasantly, and her voice dripped with venom, even hatred. “I hate seeing him happy. With all the remnants of my heart, even the smallest. But you…” She took on her previous expression and tone. “You want everything and if it continues like this, you will be left with nothing. You cannot have someone who is the only one for you while also having a beloved wife who will give you an heir. And you also cannot have a child with someone who has nested in your heart the deepest, because it is physically impossible. Knowing you, betrayal would be out of the question, and finding a woman willing to make arrangements is not as easy as it seems. You have to make a choice, and I personally advise you to give up Emi.”
You looked at her in surprise and pouted your lip slightly. “It's weird listening to your advice, Ko-chan.” You said honestly. “Even if it's good, I'm not used to this behavior from you.”
“Fuck you.” The woman grumbled, snorting quietly, and you smiled.
“Thank you. The final decision is mine anyway. You're right that I can't have everything, that's true.”
“Do whatever you want, just don't bother me later and cry.”
“I won't.” You grumbled and opened the car door. “Thanks for today, Ko-chan. If you heard I didn't show up for work on Monday, it'll probably be certain I'm already dead.”
“Mikey gave the order, so you'll be fine. Don't be so dramatic.”
“You said it yourself, Sanzu has changed.”
“His King's words are sacred to him. Have a peaceful Sunday.” Your sister said goodbye to you and as soon as you closed the passenger door, she drove off, leaving you in the wet parking lot all alone.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The order has been paid successfully. Thank you.
Please wait for an email with an order status update.
You sat motionless in front of your computer screen, staring at the message displayed, and you felt an emptiness inside you that slowly began to turn into uncertainty. However, that quickly turned into a feeling of righteousness, especially when you still had access to the contents of the order.
A wooden, reinforced bed frame for two people and two double-sided mattresses of different firmness, which you could choose for half the price.
Yes. You did it. You bought a bed.
No. You didn't have to go to the furniture store because you literally chose the same one you were already sleeping on and you knew it was perfect for you, made for you.
You pursed your lips and closed your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest and nodding. Yes, if Emi wouldn't be happy about this, it was her problem and hers alone. She will be able to continue sleeping on the futon next to YOUR bed. No problem. Just a little revenge for hiding such important things from you, like being suspended from work.
You turned off your computer, stood up from your chair and stretched hard, making a quiet cracking sound in your spine. You winced slightly and gave a quick glance at the photo on the shelf.
Maybe Tomoko was right about the woman? It didn't matter to you now. You were tired and seeing that the small hand of the clock was dangerously close to the number 4, you sighed quietly and went to the bedroom to get at least some half-restful sleep.
You settled down on your futon, feeling somewhat comfortable, and with the certainty that in a few days you would be able to start sleeping even better, you closed your eyes and began to feel calm and sleep...
*knock, knock, knock*
You ignored the sound, hoping it was your own imagination playing tricks on you, but when it repeated, louder this time, you opened your eyes and began to look at the ceiling, where you could see a strip of light from a streetlamp.
*knock, knock, knock*
You stood up quickly and walked to the front door with your heart pounding, and as soon as you looked through the peephole, you were greeted with a sight that made your heart stop immediately.
On the other side of the door, an eye with a bright iris and dilated pupil tried to look in, and as soon as it moved away and you could see more of the face, you were shocked.
The pink-haired man was wearing a black mask that effectively covered the lower half of his face. He looked around the hall casually, and just as he was getting ready to probably bang on your apartment door, you unlocked it and opened it.
You looked at each other in complete silence for a moment, and the man looked at you critically, causing you to feel uneasy.
Haruchiyo Sanzu entered your apartment, pushing you through the doorway and you closed the door behind him, wondering if this was really a good idea.
“Did something happen?” You began uncertainly, watching every single move of the man who was currently looking at everything, as if checking if everything was clean enough, which reminded you of his cleanliness obsession, which seemed absurdly comical to you compared to what you knew the gangster was in after dealing with traitors.
“Let's get this over with.” He replied, taking off his face mask, which he folded neatly and put in his jacket pocket.
“I thought you'd want to rest after the night first... Get used to the idea that you've been chosen to work with me...”
Sanzu looked at you with a cold expression, although there was a strange glint in his eyes.
“This way.” You said, walking past him without waiting for his answer and heading to your small office.
“It's poor here.” He commented as he followed you into the room and headed towards your desk, where he sat down comfortably enough on your chair. “Does the police pay that little?”
“They pay me enough.” You replied, placing an extra chair next to the man, which had been standing against one of the walls until now.
“Your wife?” He nodded at the photograph on the shelf.
"Girlfriend." You replied after a moment.
Sanzu snorted contemptuously and you felt slightly offended.
“And you? Do you have someone to live with?”
The man laughed quietly. “I’m too young to be in a permanent relationship, and I don’t have time for such bullshit.”
“Ah. So those two young girls from a few months ago who were found with cuts from something bigger than a knife, weren’t your doing?” You asked, turning on your computer.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Haruchiyo’s voice was icy cold, and his gaze almost burned, but you shrugged it off.
“I’ll need some coffee. I didn’t get a chance to sleep after coming back from the Haitani’s club.” You stood up from your chair and started to head for the door. “Do you want some too?”
“Your swill cannot satisfy my taste buds.”
“Okay. I just asked.” You said and soon after, the very pleasant smell of freshly brewed coffee spread throughout the apartment, which to your surprise lured the pink-haired gangster into your small kitchen. “Maybe you'd like one cup after all?”
“You’re too friendly.” The man started, taking your cup of coffee in his hand and lifting it up so he could smell the drink. “I knew from the start that something was fucking wrong with you, but this? You let me into your apartment without demanding an explanation, knowing full well that I threatened to kill you. Hell, I promised you that next time I’d kill you if our paths crossed again.” He set the cup on the cabinet right next to the coffee machine. “You talk to me like you never left the gang and we’re still good buddies, L/n. Those days are over. What the fuck are you on about?”
“Bonten has a problem with Yuu, and so does the police. I have an agreement with Mikey, and he gave you an order that until Yuji falls into your hands, you are not to harm me.” You explained calmly, carefully looking at Sanzu, whose bright eyes did not leave your face. “In addition, there is the problem of the murdered Takenaka and something that was stolen from him. I am in the process of solving this case, and to be honest, I thought you would help me only after I catch his killer. That was the deal, after all. Why the rush, Sanzu?”
The man was silent for a long moment, looking you straight in the eye, as if he wanted to see which of you would look away first.
You felt a not-so-pleasant shiver run down your spine, and seeing the corners of his mouth twitch in a smile that was forming, your anxiety only deepened.
“Years ago, you made a decision and left the gang to join the other side of the barricade. By betraying Mikey, you became the enemy. Let's just say the sooner we get Yuu, the sooner I can blow your fucking head off.”
The tone of his voice that you always enjoyed listening to was dripping with the venom that was always reserved for people Sanzu despised made your heart skip a beat.
“Let's finally clear something up, Sanzu.” You began as calmly as you could, though to your dismay the first syllables sounded a little too shaky. “I wanted to offer Mikey that I join the police, to help the gang from the other side if needed. And I did. I never wanted to leave the gang and the only reason I did it was because of you.” The pink-haired man raised an eyebrow, his smile starting to fade. “You told me to fuck off, immediately labeling me a traitor and enemy number one.”
“Mikey agreed to let you go, so he considered you worthless as well.”
If only you knew what I do for Bonten. What I do for you, you idiot.
“You know I’m not in the police force to bust gangs and primarily hurt Bonten?” You asked after a moment.
“One doesn’t exclude the other.” He tilted his head slightly to the side. “Thefts, break-ins, assaults, kidnappings, and murders… Anything that could harm us.”
“And yet, I’m one of the few people who can help you find Takenaka’s killer.”
The man shook his head. “Nothing we can’t handle ourselves.”
“And yet Mikey thought otherwise.”
“Tch. Or maybe you’re just motivation?” He glared at you contemptuously.
“Motivation?”
The man leaned forward slightly and laughed quietly. “Well, you know, we’ll close this case and I can…” He made a gesture of shooting you in the head. “Bang.”
Your blood boiled in your veins, but you decided to pretend that his gesture didn’t impress you.
“Oh? You’ll just shoot me?” Sanzu’s eyes narrowed slightly at your reaction, letting you know he was expecting a slightly different reaction. “I thought you’d want to use your katana on me. You know, like you did with Mucho.”
The pink-haired man’s eyes widened, and he gasped quietly. “Don’t ever say his name in my presence, you son of a bitch.” He grimaced, his lips stretching into a cruel smile. “But if you insist, I can slightly modify my plan for dealing with you.”
“Hmm. Wonderful.” You said, turning towards the cabinet you had started to open. “Do you want coffee with sugar or black?”
“Huh?”
You looked at him and only miraculously managed not to burst out laughing at the surprise, and even confusion on the gangster’s face.
“Coffee. Do you want it sweet or not?”
“No.” He replied, still trying to understand what was happening.
“Cream?”
“No, thank you.”
You poured the still hot coffee into the second cup and heard a loud snort from the man, so you looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“What is wrong with you, L/n? Fuck...” He looked at you again, but this time not with contempt, but rather with disbelief. “We are not buddies! Why do you still act like we are?”
You couldn't find the right answer to that. You couldn't tell him that... What? That not so long ago you had something much more than camaraderie and friendship? That was before the time-leaping! So, it didn't really happen at all. You couldn't tell him that you loved him...
“What's the harm?” You asked, shrugging slightly. “I don't expect you to warm up our relations.” There was a strange glint in his eyes, which you didn't necessarily perceive as a bad thing. “Let's do our thing, right? Let's get Junko's murderer, let's get Yuu.” You handed the gangster a cup of coffee, which he took carefully, trying not to spill the hot drink. “And then, if Mikey doesn't change his mind, you'll just kill me and go back to your happy life without having to think about whether I'll hurt Bonten or not. Does this arrangement suit you?”
“You’re just going to let me kill you?” He asked in a dispassionate tone, slowly lifting his gaze from the coffee to your eyes.
“No. Of course I’ll fight.” You took a sip from your cup. “Who do you take me for? I joined the police, but that doesn’t mean I’ve softened.”
The scarred corners of Haruchiyo's mouth slowly lifted, and a joyful spark appeared in his bright eyes.
"I'll hold you to your word, L/n. You could use a good beating."
"Now that we've cleared something up, how about we get to work?" You headed back to your office, feeling the almost burning gaze of Sanzu on your back, who you assumed was just starting to come up with new scenarios in his twisted mind to deal with you.
“What do you already know about Takenaka?” The gangster asked suddenly, sitting back down in your chair in front of your desk.
“I have everything in separate files.” You opened the appropriate folder on your computer and signaled the man with your hand that he could familiarize himself with the data. “I can tell you the rest, because this information is only in the official case files, at the police station.”
“That suits me.” The man grumbled, starting to look through the contents of the folder, every now and then taking a small sip of coffee from his cup, which he still held in one hand.

emi-sos-ko replied to your text post: I feel like they might scream ABBA on karaoke nights just to bother Len
I dearly hope they do, TBH :D I think Roscoe could get a lot of mileage out of it, regardless of how he personally feels about ABBA.

What was Ko and Ayala's childhood pre-GUTG like? I can't remember if you've gone into detail but from what I understand from snippets and PMVs seemed very... isolated to say the least.
Oh, extremely. Emi kept them both under lock and key, never told anyone she had children, and homeschooled them herself. She wanted to be their whole world, to have them all to herself so leaving her wasn't even an option in their minds.
Ko was neglected and abused, as Emi saw his existence as the reason her life fell apart, while Ayaka was coddled and parentified, trusted with Emi's emotions and insecurities when she was too young to grasp them and needed support of her own.
