Oh no, everyone has great ideas and you turn them into such amazing stories 🥹 Love family stuffs ahhhhh 😩
How about the kings and their kids prepare for Mother's day? 👀 The kids ask for advices and join their dads in prepare them (...and the king's gifts too... if you know what I mean 👀👌👈)
I love bringing your ideas to life! And I'm glad that you entrust them to me, you don't even know what an inspiration it is, that I can write for you, and you like it. Stay amazing as always 🙏
Family time, let's go!
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
Satan and the twins had some trouble with their gift for you. They said they wanted to do it themselves, without dad, because it would be a surprise for both of you. Of course, he agreed, but he still ordered the nobles to keep an eye on them. First they went to Sitri and wanted to paint the cups, but they broke them. Then they approached Paimon to make you your own stickers, but after half an hour, glitter was everywhere. Before they accosted anyone else, Astaroth intervened. He took them to the meadow (so they could run around and shake off some glitter) and only when they got tired did he start telling them about how their father was a child, when they were picking wild flowers for bouquets for you.
Satan himself will give you a box of mint-blueberry chocolates, which you regularly carved at 3 a.m. during your pregnancy, and a smirk with the words "I'm ready for round two." Of course, he pissed you off with that. And since he also brought good wine, get ready for the next five rounds.
Mammon and your little gang will present you with a whole collection of jewelry. You expected them to be pasta necklaces and modeling clay earrings, but of course you underestimated them. Pearl necklace, ruby bracelets, cufflinks with gold beads. Of course, they are made a bit crooked and clumsy, the younger the child the more so, but you and Mammon look like the proudest parents in the world. This is the only jewelry you want to wear.
From the king you will receive a beautiful silk set (actually five sets, each matching one piece of jewelry you received), underwear and a long dressing gown, (and a matching dress, shoes and even a handbag), which you will have to try out together.
Beelzebub loves scribbles, and so does his little girl! The card you will receive will be the messiest, most colorful conglomeration of colored tissue paper, photos and ribbons you could ever imagine. Beel made sure that there was no shortage of materials, so in one place you have shells from the Caribbean, a heart made of Chinese silk and amber with a fossil (where did they get it from? Did he really take your daughter for a walk around the world? You don't ask, you don't want to know the answer).
Beel will give you markers with edible icing. He had a great time with the little one, but now it's time for mommy to show off her artistic talent. Preferably on his body. You can trace his tattoos with a marker, or maybe write something new. He's ready to be your canvas all night long.
Your daughter has Leviathan’s perfectionism, but in a specific version that when daddy likes something, it means it's already perfect. Usually. Sometimes she says daddy has no taste, and that's the sassy part she inherited from you. She would spend a good week sitting in her father's office and embroidering a pillow as a gift for you, with small flowers, because she doesn't know anything else yet. Levi makes sure she doesn't gouge out her eye with the needle, and every time the needle almost pierces her finger, the thread pulls it back. He usually doesn't worry about it, let the child learn. This time he would prefer there was no blood on the embroidery because the gift for you has to be more perfect than anything else.
Leviathan will give you a choker, also embroidered, but with black thread on black material. You can read it only by touch. What does it say? Only you two know. It's so adjustable that it's perfect for both wearing and choking.

(I'm sending this to all ghost writers I can find because I want everybody to see this)
Bestie. You have no idea what you just started.
THIS is my favorite thing ever now.
I couldn't resist writing something!!
Just imagine attending a ball, and this mysterious man shows up with that skull mask?? It's giving phantom of the opera, and I live for it!!!

Phantom of the Ball
Tumblr media
─── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ────── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ───
The large, shining chandeliers almost blinded you, the bright sparkle emitted from them making you keep your head lower. The ball had been dragging on for hours and, as fun as it looked, actually dancing for 4 hours without having anyone to converse with was more a curse than a blessing.
You swore your corset had tightened over the course of the evening and the many alcoholic beverages were doing little to refresh you. Your feet were starting to hurt, not only from dancing but from more than one clumsy man stepping on them, with no chair in sight.
The small crystals embroidered on your skirt had all your attention now as your gloved fingers fiddled with them.
At least it would pass the time faster, you supposed.
Unfortunately, your peace was quickly disturbed when someone ran into you, making you stumble forward. With a scoff on your lips you were swiftly pulled into the dance circle, your head spinning as you were hastily swirled around and passed off to the next man.
There were no pleasantries exchanged as you merely had time to catch your breath, trying to keep up with the pace, before the spiel repeated itself and you were meet with another unfamiliar face.
You were spun around like a dreidl, blinking to stop yourself from becoming too dizzy and falling.
Within the flash of a moment, there was a black wall in front of you. Gasps and murmurs filled the room, and the music slowly died down as all eyes were curiously set on the tall stranger.
He was dressed in the finest silks and velvets, all in black, setting a strong contrast to the creams, beiges, and whites everyone else sported. You craned your neck to take a better look at him, only to be met with an elegant mask, resembling a skull.
He peered down on you in an intimidating manner, sending a, surprisingly, pleasant shiver up your spine. You stared in amazement at the fringe at the bottom of his mask, making up the teeth of the skull.
They were still for now, but you wondered how they'd behave once he'd move. A quick glance around the room made you aware how many couples had taken a few steps back from the dance floor, leaving you and the mysterious man, quite literally, at the center of attention.
"May I?"
He broke the suffocating silence. Despite the roughness of his voice, there was no ill intent to be found towards you, only gentle words.
He held out his hand for you to take, wearing gloves that mimicked skeletal hands made up of various beads, embroidery and pearls.
There was a breath stuck in your throat, you only managed to nod, taking his offered hand. You gasped softly when he pulled you close to him, a firm hand on your waist as he gently cupped your hand in his large one.
He began moving, quite gracefully for someone his size. The music picked back up and, although hesitant, more and more couples joined in on the dance.
You were positively enchanted by this man, watching intently as the fringe at the bottom of his mask moved like a chime in the wind. You managed to make out a pair of mesmerizing brown eyes behind the mask. They made you feel hot and cold at the same time, adding to the exciting feeling in your chest.
He guided you with ease, almost making you float as he twirled you around like a delicate porcelain doll in a music box. Your hand fit into his so perfectly.
You wondered if the soft and rich fabrics he wore felt as pleasant underneath your fingertips as they looked, your hand resting on his shoulder. The outside world started to bleed and fade away as your thoughts were only occupied with him.
There were so many questions and mysteries surrounding the man. It made your heart swell with curiosity.
Before you could inquire more information about your strange suitor, he vanished. His hand slipped from your waist, and although his hand lingered in yours just a moment longer, it was gone in the blink of an eye.
He'd left you alone in the center of the ruckus of obnoxiously large skirts and clacking heels. You turned in every direction, hoping to catch a glimpse of where he went.
The mass made you feel suffocated as they seemed to close in on you. You whipped around like a whirlwind, your eyes flitting over every possible exit.
You managed to see an all too familiar skeleton hand slipping from the doorframe, and determination boiled up inside of you like never before.
You hiked up your many skirts, swiftly ducking under swinging arms and spinning around dancing couples. Your chest was heaving with heavy breaths when you managed to escape, but there was no time to rest.
You continued on, rushing through the door you saw him last. Your skirts rustled, your shoes clacked against the floor, and your breaths were labored as you ran down the long and empty hallway, keeping an eye out for the mysterious skeleton man.
Maybe you should be scared, running from him and not after him.
But there was something so intoxicating about his presence. His gentle touch, the deep, rough voice that you wanted to soothe with honey. And those intriguing brown eyes that held more secrets for you to uncover.
He was like an opioid, making you addicted after the first taste, to have you coming back until the end of time.
Your chase brought you to the moonlit courtyard of the estate.
You leaned forward, hoping to get more air into your lungs.
Damned corset.
Taking a rest on a stone bench, you looked around the blooming courtyard, admiring the many varieties of beautiful flowers. It smelled sweet, a tense fragrance having in the air like a heavy fog.
You were burning up from running, but the chilly evening breeze made you shiver. It was eerily quiet, only a few cicadas and crickets singing their songs for the summer.
You listened closely, hoping the stranger had tried to find some peace here.
You perked up when the crunching of grass under heavy footsteps reached your ears. You quickly rose from your seat and rounded the large hedge.
Your breath for caught in your throat when you spotted his broad back, calmly admiring the red roses, it seemed.
Unfortunately, the man had noticed you and made an effort to swiftly disappear into the night.
"Wait!" You reached out your hand, making him stop in his tracks.
"At least tell me your name." You pleaded, carefully stepping closer, as if not to scare away a wild animal.
You saw his shoulders drop slightly before he turned to face you, looming over you once again.
"They call me Ghost." He answered lowly, looking down on you with caution.
"Will I see you again?" You urged, stepping even closer.
His entire presence was pulling you in. You truly had no control.
You could've sworn you saw an amused glint in his eyes.
"I'll come back to you." He sounded sincere and soft as he spoke.
"Do you promise?" Your brows were pulled together as you swallowed, the urge to touch him twitching in your fingertips.
He glanced to the side before expertly plucking one of the deep red roses off the bush. He offered it you, and you gladly took it, being careful of any thorns.
"I promise." He said softly, brushing a lock of hair out of your face.
In an unexpected move, he gently took your unoccupied hand and slipped off your glove, making you gasp.
He proceeded to gently take your hand and guide it under his mask, the pearly fringe brushing your skin as he pressed a soft kiss to your knuckles. Your face was burning up, your heart pounding inside your ribcage.
He slipped his hand from yours again, making yours twitch in an attempt to keep his touch. He chuckled deeply, a fondness in his eyes you would never expect from someone like him.
You swallowed thickly as you glanced down towards the rose he'd gifted you. The aroma was strong. It made your head spin.
When you looked up again, though, he was gone, only the dark sky adorned by twinkling stars staring back at you.
Like a phantom, he disappeared into the night, only leaving you clutching your glove, the flower in the other hand, and a promise you hoped he'd keep.

I love the idea of rival factions at the Royal court with distinct styles of dress and I think one with untapped potential is the Great Council’s decision to choose the next heir aka Rhaenys vs Viserys.
One of Rhaenys’s greatest strengths is that she comes from three different houses so she would always represent House Targaryen, House Baratheon, and House Velaryon with her clothes. I think her primary colors would be red and gold in a Velaryon style of dress. Red for her dragon (Meleys the Red Queen) and for the Targaryens, and gold for the Baratheons and to show off her wealth. I think she would wear House Velaryon’s colors if she did not she need to assert herself as the Targaryen heir. Wearing a Velaryon styled gown she uses more subtle ways to align herself with the Velaryons. (See the hairstyle drawings for a better crown.)
Tumblr media
Additionally, while she is feminine, she knows that Westeros is hesitant to elect a female ruler so she tone down her femininity. Therefore, no low cut dresses and nothing formfitting and nothing too colorful. I see Velaryon style dresses being based on Old Valyria (aka the Byzantine Empire) so a lot of shapeless dresses with a single stripe down the front and a v collar so this works in her favor. Sometimes she would layer these dresses with robes or long sleeves as well. This choice is also encouraged because she would not want to remind Jaehaerys and Alysanne about their relationship to their daughters. She emulates Jahaerys by wearing heavy fabrics, dark colors, dragon scale embroidery, and heavy jewelry like livery collars and crowns. Additionally, Rhaenys would definitely take hunting and dragon riding as an opportunity to network so she would have a whole wardrobe for outdoor activities. This wardrobe would be largely earthy tones to make herself seem more approachable to her hunting party. Again, nothing form fitting so she would wear bloomer style pants or have balloon sleeves. She takes out her copper armor during more serious or more formal occasions.
However, she wouldn’t want to be too masculine because Westeros is not ready for that either. She would wear take fashion cues from Alysanne and wear surcoats, braids, and flowing sleeves in the shape of dragon wings. Inspired by her mother, Rhaenys would wear flared dresses, gable hoods, bejeweled hair bands, and sarafan style sleeves. She would also have elaborate embroidery, statement necklines, a mantle- a long vest or cloak-, prints, and beading on her dresses as well since it’s Velyron fashion. Additionally, Rhaenys would wear elaborate and tall hairstyles with statement hair accessories. Most of these would have metals and gems collected from Corlys’s travels. Corlys would even commission a crown similar to the iron throne and Jae’s crown for her to wear on special occasions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rhaenys would always have an updo with a statement piece similar to a crown. Maybe she would wear her hair in braids with pins and rings adorning it for an added flare. Pearls would certainly be her main accessories but use gems from Corlys’s travels to adorn her headwear as well. I think hair nets like snoods and cauls would be popular on Driftmark since they resemble fishnets so she would wear them often as well. Also, since she’s under more scrutiny than others, she would make sure her hair is something that wouldn’t be easily disheveled. This is where her mother’s Stormland roots would come into play with tight braids and gable hoods.
Tumblr media
Viserys’s strength is that he is a male heir with Targaryen features however I think he’s very clueless so he and Aemma would -play it safe and take their style inspiration from Jaehaerys and Alysanne. For Aemma, this would mean a similar color palettes, similar hairstyles, silver accents, and clothes designed form the same tailor. However, Aemma would put her own personal touch on that. For example, Aemma would wear Houppelande or Burgundian style gowns because a Vale fashion. I also imagine these would have lower necklines, and more lace details than Alysanne or Rhaenys as a way to appear more feminine. She would also wear soft colors and soft fabrics to appear more approachable to other members at court. Additionally, unlike Rhaenys, her jewelry would be sourced from across Westeros to give her a home land advantage. She would befriend ladies at the court by having favorite jewelers and tailors from each of their regions. After all, there is no better way to gain allies by showing you have personal interest in their homes.
Tumblr media
For her hair, Aemma would almost always be wearing some sort of headpiece. A hennin and stickelchen for indoor occasions, designed by the same headdress designers as Alysanne, the Arryns, and the Hightowers. To support the Westeros economy of course. Also, if she’s feeling homesick, she has a hennin shaped like a crescent moon that represents the moon door in the Vale. She also has double or triple coned hennins to resemble dragon horns. If Viserys makes some sort of fauxpaus, she would wear a ridiculous headpiece so people would have something else to talk about. On other occasions, she would wear veils, hair nets, and metal headpieces similar to Old Valyrian styles. If her hair is ever visible, I think she would wear it either wear with ribbons, pins, or in bound braids like Alysanne.
Tumblr media
Also building on her relationship with Viserys, she would wear things that would appeal to his interests. Since he is so interested in the histories, she wears a lot of Old Valyrian inspired clothing. Her sleeves are inspired by Valyrian architectures such as battlements. Her hennins sometimes resemble spires. Her bodice can resemble ceiling beams and neckline can resemble buttresses. If she’s wearing a dress with multiple colors, it would be inspired by stained glass. The stained glass could also resemble the Sept which appeals to followers of the Faith people as well. I imagine Viserys would’ve written her a poem or song about a long extinct flower from Valyria and how he would grow fields of them for her if he could. Which might showcase their relationship- he’s all about hypothetical gestures that appeal to his interests. But, it would work on her while she’s young so some of her dresses are the same color as that extinct flower.

I was looking through the promo posters last night and zooming in real close, you can see that the attention to detail in these costumes is fucking impeccable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Goldwork embroidery on top of the backside of a gold brocade. Do you have any idea how annoying the back of a brocade is? Bane of my fucking existence every time I have to work with it. And they are embroidering and beading onto that nonsense. And then they stitched on genuine pearls just to be extra.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kemen’s tunic cuff is sewn on by hand with the most even stitching and then decorated with gold rivets. Not beads. Rivets. His undertunic is a silk charmeuse with a tiny whipped hem, again stitched by hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bronwyn’s cloak is real suede! Her dress is linen in the most beautiful, rich indigo blue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Earien’s orange gown is a fucking silk jacquard. Galadriel has padding underneath her chainmail, and even though this is the only shot we may ever be able to see it, it’s not just A Random Shirt. You can see that it is fitted and has a slit in the cuff, and that it is a thicker material.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at the pommel of the Numenorean standard-issue sword! Look at the detail on it! They didn’t have to carve a pattern into the mane. There is never a close enough shot in the show for you to see that detailing. But even with the stylization, it is a functional, practical sword hilt. Halbrand’s bracer is real leather and his red gambeson, identical to the blue Sea Guard gambesons, is piped in leather at the sleeve hem. The linen is even hand-quilted.

🐚 Wear sea foam green, aquamarine, teal, ocean blue, soft grey, lilac, periwinkle, emerald, pale gold, white, deep blue, and turquoise
🐚 Pick flowy fabrics such as taffeta, chiffon, linen, silk, muslin, and sequined fabrics that resemble fish scales
🐚 Choose garments like maxi dresses, flowy skirts, bandeau off-the-shoulder tops, tank tops, soft scarves used as tops, shell clutches, woven bags, and pretty beaded sandals
🐚 Accessorise with jewellery made from pearls, sea glass, seashells, turquoise, aquamarine, opals, gold that resembles the sun glinting on the sea, and silver that reminds one of the metallic sheen of fish scales. Examples of accessories you can wear are bangles, anklets, layered necklaces, and pearl earrings
🐚 Makeup Ideas: eyeshadow in nudes like a sandy beach, greens and blues like the sea, or lavender and pink like a coral reef, shimmery highlight, dewy skin, coral pink lipstick, and seashell pink lipgloss
🐚 Hair Ideas: loose curls that look like ocean waves, fishtail plaits, green and blue hair dye, pearl hairclips, and sea salt hairspray. Brush your hair with a pretty wide-tooth comb.

🐚 Make your home smell like the deep sea too, with sea salt scented diffusers and candles such as Yankee Candle Sea Minerals, Yankee Candle Seaside Woods, or Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt
🐚 Home Decor Ideas: silk sheets in blue, grey, and sea green, seashell jewellery trays, homemade terrariums, jellyfish embroidery, seashell candles, beaded curtains made from string and shells, paintings of maritime scenes, glass vases filled with layers of sand, seashells, and faux pearls, seashell shaped soap dishes, rattan furniture, woven baskets, treasure chests to keep your valuables in, mermaid figurines, a seashell or jellyfish mobile, a bowl filled with seashells, a glass bottle filled with ocean water or with a love letter inside to replicate a message in a bottle, mosaics with marine motifs like seahorses and shells, even an aquarium with colourful fish if you are able to care for them

hello rabbit! love your tutorials, your style is so creative and amazing!! i have a lot of universal monsters oversized tees i love but the fit is not my style anymore, do you have any ideas for making them more coquette/vamp? most inspos i've seen are all about just resizing them into baby tees :-( accesory ideas would be great 2 >:-D
hi! arg sorry this took me so long to reply to! ok i have a few small ideas. the number one for more coquette/vamp is to turn them into a bustier/corset style top, theres lots of tutorials for example this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVg8Jicrkj8 :)
another ideas is to take the graphic and cut it out and put it on something new, whether thats just a more flattering shirt, a cute jacket, on a bag, on a skirt, whatever !
(to make it extra coquette when making it into a patch, you can add lace trim around the edges, add bows, trim with faux pearls, use pastel thrifted fabric as a background, add glitter, or silver beads or star sequins or something ... embroidery also feels very coquette to me so feel free to incorporate that! )
you could also turn them into a sleevless top/tube top, and possibly adding ribbon straps, lace straps, poufy sleeves .... you could go so far as to turn them into a dress by adding a skirt portion at the bottom !
layering goes a long way so dont forget your ruffly shirts or excessive amounts of necklaces, chokers, earrings, hair ribbons, whatever your thing is !
accessory ideas id go for: hair bows/ribbons, dainty chains, blood red details, lace/velvet/leather chokers, dangly earrings, jangly bracelets, gothic details like crosses, rosaries, bats, spiderwebs, black and red gems, silver metals, you get the idea:)
also For accessories i have a video im working on now >:) should be out this weekend but its all about goth/alt/diy/vampire diy jewelery/accessory ideas so i hope thats inspiring to u when it comes out!!!
thanks for the nice question and good luck! hope that helps :)

egyptian fashion ideas I've had
Velvet melaya leff
Gauze tob sebleh and aba / other translucent materials for showing off clothes underneath
Coptic slippers incorporating tapestry woven fabric either over the leather as a decorative layer or as an extension to create a boot
Sirwal worn high at the knee to show off patterned stockings
Some muesums and recreations of garments indicate either sleeves or body of Coptic tunics may have been scrunched or gathered when worn because of the proportions; modern Coptic garments based on that could have ruching, pin tucks, pleating, etc, along the shoulder and/or sleeves
Aqbiya abd sidari with gold embroidery like how Khedival dress uniforms have (as well as other fancy garments but that's the search term that will most easily pull up what I mean)
Aqbiya with capelets
Yeleks and ladies folkdresses with engageantes. I've actually seen a few old photos of women wearing dresses like that but we should do it more- you could play with tulle bi tell to see if it behaves well for this too
Broad collars made of embroidery and with dangling tassels and further decorated pieces of fabric at the end of the ties
Turbans with elaborate silk flower pins
Khuzam with enamel, mother of pearl inlays, pearls as the beads or dangly bits, and takfeet designs
Honestly takfeet jewelry in general
Elaborately embroidered binish and djubbeh coats
Djubbeh with really full cut skirts, kind like some 1830s coats
Using Coptic nymph scarves (the art motif is called velificatio, and is much more wide spread, possibly influencing the pibo)
Khayamiya style applique on galabeya, skirts, etc
Aqbiya, yeleks, caftans, sidari, etc with evil queen/1890s medici collars
Aqbiya and yekeks with butterfly sleeves, longer in the back than the front perhaps
Lace yeleks
Belts with long pennants like what antique ghawazi belts have
Folk dresses with watteau back pleats

Chapter 94
The children of the Eastern Palace also had birthday gifts to give.
The First and Second County Princesses and the Third County Princess all gave embroidery, as they were old enough to do so, and although their work was not as good as that of the Needle and Thread Bureau, as they had said before, it was the thought that counted. The Fourth Mistress Wan Pui-yin gave her a Buddhist scripture, which she said she had copied by hand, and although her handwriting was not good, it was the thought that counted.
Zong Duo gave her a jade pendant, of fine sheep's-fat white jade carved with a longevity bat, which was unremarkable, but Empress Fu seemed to like it, holding it up and looking at it, and smiling and praising Zong Duo a few times.
Zong Yue, on the other hand, gave a jade ornament, of an ordinary kind, neither too eye-catching nor too over-the-top, quite in keeping with his age and status.
As for Wan Yin Long, originally Pan Er gave her the idea to send her shoes and purses, she didn't need to make them herself anyway, the palace maids made them and she sewed on a few stitches, Empress Fu also knew Wan Yin's character and would not be offended.
However, she did not agree, and went back to the cabinet to find some bead strings that she had shattered when she was a little girl and brought them to her to play with.
Among them were pearls, tourmaline, cat's eye stones, turquoise, tortoiseshell stones and a bunch of other messy little stones, and she primped and picked out some suitable ones and strung them together to make a string of beads that could be worn on her wrist.
When it was done, Pan'er took a look at it, Wan Yin's seemingly big-hearted, but actually quite good at matching colours, this colour scheme at first glance is suitable for Empress Fu usually wear, no true reds and no purple as it was too fancy. Afterwards, Wan Yin found a box for the gift, and a birthday gift was made.
Empress Fu really liked it after she got it, and heard that it was made by Wan Yin's own hands, and even said she was thoughtful. This was the only one of the girls that Empress Fu had praised, and of the boys, it was Zong Duo who got the praise.
Unfortunately, his sister's thunder was soon stolen by Zong Lin, who had also prepared a birthday gift for Empress Fu.
This gift was unknown to anyone but the eunuchs and palace maids around Zong Lin, who, probably seeing how secretive Wan Yin was, also followed suit. Pan'er thought he was a small boy, so he couldn't give anything away anyway, maybe just some of his little wooden swords and horses, so she didn't mind him.
It was also a brocade box, but it was much bigger than Wan Yin's.
Empress Fu was surprised to see that he was also giving her a birthday gift, but Zong Lin didn't care about that, he told Empress Fu to sit down, and he also went to the bottom and stood up, kowtowed to Empress Fu respectfully, and said a toast.
Empress Fu was amazed by this and said to those around her that such a small child was doing a good job.
Pan'er was surrounded by a bunch of strange eyes, and instead of being pleased, she was a little embarrassed, mentally saying that she didn't know what the boy had given as a gift. If he had given them a small wooden horse or something that would not have made such a big splash, people would have said that mother and son were making a fool of themselves.
Soon it was time to reveal the birthday gift, and Zong Lin led Feng Hai, who was holding the gift, to Empress Fu.
He was small and short, and his strength was no match for an adult, so he let Feng Hai crouch halfway while he uncovered the lid of the box.
As soon as the lid was opened, the walls of the box automatically fell down to reveal a large bowl of blue and white flowers. The blue and white flowers on the bowl were all in the shape of the word longevity, and at the bottom of the bowl were a few pebbles with translucent water and two small fish swimming inside.
It was the same small fish that Zong Lin had caught with his own hands earlier.
"My grandson just caught a few of them and gave two to Imperial Grandmother." As he said this, he was still quite reluctant to give them away, clearly saying that he was giving them away, but his eyes kept looking at them.
Empress Fu took a questioning stance, and it was time for the mother to come out and speak.
Pan'er said, "He caught this fish himself, he treasures it like nothing else, and has been looking at it every day on his bedside for the past few days. Originally he was making a fuss about sending a birthday gift to the Empress, and I thought he was just fooling around, but I didn't expect to send this to him."
"Good, very good, a child's heart." Empress Fu laughed, and asked Zong Lin, "You are willing to give your precious treasure to your imperial grandmother?"
Zong Lin was indeed reluctant to do so, but he said, "Father taught us that we should know filial piety as descendants, and although Lin was very reluctant to do so, it was only right to give my own treasures to my imperial grandmother for her birthday, and that was all I had." And so he gave half to his imperial grandmother.
The rest of what he said, though he did not say it, was understood by Empress Fu and understood by all those below.
The First Lady of the Duke of Jin's House laughed, "The Third Duke is really filial."
" Not at all."
"My little grandson, who is about the same age as the Third Prince, knows nothing of this, worthy of being a child of His Highness the Crown Prince's family."
In a flash, the crowd of titled ladies standing below were all praising him.
Empress Fu smiled, stroked his head and said, "Well, Lin'er has filial piety, Imperial Grandmother will certainly take good care of your precious little fish."
The whole birthday celebration had been very uneventful, except for the birthday gift from the Crown Princess, which had raised a few eyebrows, but now all the limelight had been stolen by a three-year-old child. What could a child of that age know? He must have been taught by his mother. But she had taught him well, and he had won the Queen's favour, so no one could say anything.
The Prince Consort stood there smiling, showing no signs of happiness or anger, while Hu Liangdi's eyes darted back and forth between Pan'er and the Prince Consort, wondering what she was thinking.
As for the children in the Eastern Palace, although they were all forcibly calm, they were not too old and inevitably showed their envy. While Zong Yue's emotions did not show, Wan Yin was looking as if she had a share in the glory, her big eyes shining brightly, which if it weren't for the crowd, Pan Er guessed she would have to praise Zong Lin for a job well done.
But then Pan'er knew that the fish delivery must have been Zong Lin's own idea, but he couldn't have done it with such care, and the words he said.
She set her gaze on Feng Hai, her face smiling but the smile not reaching the eyes.
The women of the Eastern Palace did not take up much of the drama at the birthday banquet today.
After all, there are many concubines and even relatives from the imperial family in the West Court, and since today is the Empress's birthday, it is only logical that there should be external ladies present, so there are many other ladies who have come to celebrate the birthday today.
In the middle of the day, Pan'er said she would go to the purification room, and besides bringing Xiang Pu, she also called Feng Hai out.
Feng Hai knew what was going on and knelt down as soon as he entered the purification room.
"How old he is, and you are teaching him to fight for favour, you seem to have a big heart. Originally, I trusted you and thought that since Lin was so young, I was afraid that he would be led astray, so I placed you by his side, but look at this good thing you did!"
Feng Hai prostrated himself on the ground and spoke in a low voice, "Master, it was Little Prince himself who proposed to send the fish, the servant just helped him prepare the brocade box and bowl."
"Still trying to argue, you didn't teach him those words he said?"
"Indeed, it was my servant who taught him. The minion just thought that you had asked someone to inquire what the eldest prince would send before preparing such a birthday gift for the second prince, and even the county princess's birthday gift you did not bother with, leaving the county princess to make her own arrangements. The minions actually understand what you mean, you just don't want to compete with that side, but don't you think about the feelings of the second prince and the fifth county princess?
"If this becomes a habit, not of you but of the Second Prince, how will he be able to hold his head up in front of the Eldest Prince?"
These words were like a thunderbolt, and Xiang Pu immediately scolded, "Feng Hai, you really have the audacity to say such things in front of your master!"
Saying that, she turned to Pan'er and begged for mercy, "Master, please spare Feng Hai this time, he has followed the two princes for these years, and he has done hard work without merit, he must have been possessed, you should ask the second prince to punish him later, punish him severely."
"Are you thinking the same thing?" Pan'er suddenly asked.
After a while, she said hesitantly, "I think you are always reluctant to compete with the Crown Princess' side. The Crown Princess is very concerned about the eldest son's homework, but you rarely ask the second son about his homework."
After coming to the palace for these years, Xiang Pu has also long been not the Xiang Pu of the beginning and has learned to be much wiser.
In fact, a few years down the line, many people have changed to a greater or lesser extent, only she is still the same old step, always thinking about the world peace.
Pan'er couldn't help but think of her previous life, how Yue'er had yielded to Zong Duo in front of and behind people, yes, in a new life, why did she always have to yield, could she avoid the inevitable disputes in the future by yielding? No, because the interests are there and sooner or later the conflict will be triggered.
Feng Hai's idea was to let Lin'er take the lead, so as to raise the eyebrows of the East House, and at the same time to give Zong Yue a hint that you could not take the lead because of your circumstances and status, but your younger brother did not have such worries, he was still young after all, and taking the lead would not be too scandalous.
Indeed, he had a heart. And even the Crown Princess could not fault the words that Zong Lin said today, she feared. Even a three-year-old child could be so filial, and the East Palace must be acting upwards and downwards for such a young child to behave like that. Even if there was an element of drama, no one would be insensitive enough to poke holes in it, so the flaw would be good for the Eastern Palace and indeed the entire Central Palace lineage.
Pan'er sighed and gave Feng Hai, who was lying on the ground, a somewhat complicated look, "Don't take any more liberties in the future, report anything, I'm not the kind of master who can't listen to advice."
Feng Hai's heart was pleased, he immediately kowtowed and said, "I understand, my servant will definitely follow my master's orders."
After that Feng Hai retreated and Pan Er used the purification room, the whole time she was thoughtful, but Xiang Pu did not dare to interject any more.
   --
The palace banquet was set up from noon and continued into the evening.
Even though Empress Fu had repeatedly said that there was a disaster in the region of Shaanxi and Gansu, and that everything should be kept simple, the arrangements made by the House of Internal Affairs were still very rich.
Before the evening banquet had even begun, fireworks were set off to the north of the island.
Beneath the inky blue sky, the crowd gathered to watch the fireworks from the best viewpoint. The vast expanse of the sky and the splendour of the fireworks, which lasted for more than a quarter of an hour, were truly breathtaking. Even Pan'er, who had seen a lot of big scenes in her previous life, couldn't help but marvel at the ingenuity of the Home Office.
After watching the fireworks, it was time to move on to the banquet, which was set up in the water pavilions of the curved corridor, divided into several places. There was a brightly lit area some distance away, dotted with candlelight, and if you looked at it from afar, the inky night sky, the quiet water and the long strings of luminous pearls strung on it, it was as beautiful as a painting.
As the male and female guests were not in the same place, Wan Yin was with Pan'er at the dinner.
The atmosphere was naturally much more relaxed as it was not in the palace, and from time to time a lady came forward to toast and speak with the Crown Princess, who was the most important person in the palace, as the banquet for the concubines was not here.
The Crown Princess was placed next to Pan'er, and Wan Yin was already talking to Shu Yi across the table, and Pan'er also had some small talk with the Crown Princess.
But she didn't ask Princess Yue how she was after that time, and she didn't mention it either, as if that day had never happened, but Pan'er did see that Princess Yue was looking better.
Perhaps it was because the scenery in the Western Garden was really pleasant, and when people were in a good mood, they naturally looked better.
Fu Qiu suddenly came up behind Pan'er and whispered, " Greetings Liangdi, the Crown Prince has ordered someone to say that the third son has been naughty and has fought with the fifth son of Qi Wang's residence again, so you should go and bring the third son back."
Pan'er was stunned to hear this, and had a bit of a headache, why was this boy hitting again? And some thin annoyance, thinking blame the Prince you did not say Zong Lin so do it right, now you know the headache.
She didn't think much about it, and told Wan Yin that she should stay by herself for a while, and also asked Yue Wang Fei to help look after her daughter, and left Bai Jue behind, and went away with Fu Qiu.
When they went outside the water pavilion, it wasn't Fu Lu, it was a eunuch who looked somewhat familiar.
Although Pan'er couldn't name him, she knew he was a waiter at the Yu Qing Palace, so she didn't think much of it and took Xiang Pu with her to go with him.
It was dark, but the corridors were decorated with palace lamps, so it was not dim.
The curved corridor is entirely in the style of the gardens of the south of the Yangtze River, built against the rocks, which are dotted with all kinds of strange stones and rocky hills, sometimes ascending and sometimes descending.
The eunuch leading the way seemed to notice that her pace was slowing down and turned to say, " Mistress Su, it's just a little further to go."
Pan'er continued to follow, and after walking for a while, a sudden gust of wind blew, and as she was distracted, the eunuch in front of her back flashed, and the person disappeared.
She was startled and stopped instantly.
She was about to turn around when a man turned out from behind the rockery at the side, none other than Prince Chu, dressed in blue brocade robes.

Wales Bonner FW23 Menswear
From Sarah Mower's review for Vogue
Her abiding mission to elevate “Black male style; a very refined approach to masculinity” took on the Parisian sojourns of the American writer and intellectual giant James Baldwin, the fabulously wealthy young Maharaja and Maharani of Indore, and fanned out to admire the showgirl, style-maker and activist Josephine Baker. By immersing herself in their worlds, she said she found herself transported, not so much by the idea of literal references of costume as by the uplifting effect of the cultural atmosphere. “Thinking about what Paris as a place gave them license to do and express. This idea of freedom of self-expression, to define yourself.” Paris, she speculated, “may create space to have more license to be expressive.”
The award-winning jazz trumpeter Herman Mehari stood in the middle of the apartment and played as a procession of sophisticated “Black flanuers” threaded its way through the rooms. First out was a strikingly precise black tailored coat with half its upturned collar in white. On its breast was pinned a brooch—one of several composites of baroque pearl and Ghanaian bead jewelry that studded the show with a sense of the ceremonial.
Checking back on Wales Bonner’s sources, that riveting entrance was clearly an echo of a famous 1929 high Deco-period portrait of the Maharaja in black tie evening dress, flashing a white-lined cape.
She also knows how to elevate the ordinary, or the generic, to give it her own stamp of cachet. Cowrie-shell decoration has been in her repertoire from the very first; now she deployed it as lines of embroidery on an oversized ecru peacoat, white on white.
Her casual wear has her intellectualism coded into it too. When you’re wearing a Wales Bonner collegiate jacket with the words Sorbonne 56 sewn onto it, you’re referring to the First Congress of Black Artists and Writers in Paris, to which James Baldwin was a delegate. When sporty, there are also genuine cultural connections. Wales Bonner’s designs for the new adidas soccer kit for the Jamaican team was showcased.
As for the womenswear, well, this season Wales Bonner was rather obviously talking as much about herself as she was the inspirational Josephine Baker and Maharani of Indore. When the marled-knit drop-waist flapper dress and zig-zag knitted fluted skirt and tank came out, more than a few of us in the audience were giving each other side-long glances. In the chorus of praise that broke as the crowd filed out, people were exclaiming, “Didn’t they look exactly like Grace herself!" There’s no criticism in that. Because staying true to who she is as a designer, and building steadily on her own identity even while stepping in to play at a higher level in Paris is surely the name of the Wales Bonner longevity game.

💘 have you ever thought about getting married? what would your wedding look like?
tell it to my heart | accepting!
Oh, you are mean. What girl does not think of their wedding, hm?
I mean, yes, granted, marriages hardly have the best track record in this neighbourhood. It hardly- no, sorry, it never ends well. A bride's tears on the day will bless a wedding, but tears on every preceding day are no blessing at all! I know... hm. I know that marriage is not in my future, not in this life, but it does not stop the fanciful daydreams, yes? Of course not! Maybe some symbolic, play-pretend wedding- wait, there is a name for these... commitment ceremony? A renewal of bonding vows? Am I just imagining this??
Well, either way, I think that could be beautiful! If I, uh, could find a way to... hehe, play ignorant to the costs? So, if you are offering to pay for this for me, firstly, thank you! Because I do have some ideas! Take careful note:
Tumblr media
It cannot be in May. It must be raining. I would love a more traditional outfit for it; high lacy neckline, billowing sleeves, pinched waist, tight across the chest- what! I do have a nice one! Oh, and it needs a long, ghostly veil, and that needs a long train as well. Pearls and beads pinned into a little up-do. Whites- oh, off-white, I suppose, and little accents of gold in the embroidery, yes? It will look wonderful with the stefana atop my head... ah, if only.
A-and that train needs to be one that is separate from the dress - I will need to dance afterwards, yes? I have heard that weddings here are not for the faint of heart...considering that they and the party combined often last well over a day. So I would have to say 'no' to silly high heels! For once!! But I would absolutely never say no to the flowers... oh, so very many flowers! I would love a giant bouquet of peonies and lilies of the valley! One that hides my little hands... they are very traditional wedding flowers, you see. Yes. That is why. I would need to dress all of the tables and make the bridesmaids' bouquets as well, naturally! Oh! Look at what you have done!
This is hardly fair! Making me fantasize like this, about something that will never happen. How very cruel to deny me of this sacrament... but the Lord must know it would only end with bitter tears. This. This must be for the best. I must be thankful for this mercy He shows me. Yes.

for Alex for the OC meme! Can I get a 5 and 39? :D
THANK YOU for the questions 💖
5. Alex most useless skill, which is also reflected on his character sheet, is crafting. My first idea for the character was a scene prince who stirs up the Berlin underground club/techno scene, so i looked up kids on tiktok and insta who fell into this niche and i noticed that most of them sprinkled DIY content in between their ootd posts, like making jewelry or crocheting, and i thought that it would be a fitting theme for Alex as well. Alex's worst character trait is his short fuse and impulsivity, so his bedroom is littered with halfway finished projects: Diamond paintings that take up his desk, the rhinestones scattered below, beads and pearls everywhere on the ground, an embroidery hoop where the fabric is ripped and thorn from a temper tantrum, ambitious crocheting projects that he lost interest in half way through…
There is some sincerity in his love for crafting too. He had a troubled uprising (I know someone from my playgroup will be maybe reading this so i'll try not to spoil too much lol) but someone who has always had his back was his grandma Sophie, who thought it was beneficial for him to learn something that would occupy his hands and taught him crocheting. Now she is his anchor, and i like to think that when he tries really hard to concentrate on a project but he can not muster up the patience to finish it properly, he will visit her in the seniors home and her presence helps him focus.
39. A skill Alex wished he had, and he would never say this out loud, would be to become physically stronger. Due to the circumstances of his youth, he would often face situations where he had to resort to violence and even though he has a very thin physique, he has learned his fair share of dirty tricks, but still had to take a beating often. After his embrace, he was graced with the ability of supernatural strength, but the latest events in our game have left him very humbled and he is currently trying to figure out how to enhance his strength.

Dalish Appreciation Week #2- Craft
@dalish-appreciation-week
#2- Craft
Rating- G
Featuring Warden Commander Isabeaux Tabris
(I wanted her to get to experience an Arlathvhen, Zathrian was a butt, but his clan was nice.")
Trying to whittle wood was always hard for her. Her fingers always trembled when it came to the fine details. It's why embroidery was never expected of her while she was a girl. That and well, the alienage was NOT quite the home of refinement.
“Could hold a knife, that one, but a needle is too delicate" she remembered her mum saying.
Red eyes gazed at the poorly formed halla in her hands. She was ashamed at its odd angles and uneven shapes. ‘No skill to be had for one with elven blood.’ As she had been told repeatedly.
Warden Isabeaux heaved a heavy sigh, dropped her knife and ugly stick to the ground. Elbows landing on knees, chin landing in hands, ears dropping and face falling into a petulant scowl.
She couldn't whittle.
The human wardens could whittle. Why couldn't her fingers do it?!
She watched as the elders in the circle chatted, and chuckled and enjoyed themselves. Their knives and fingers deftly making tiny amazement out of mundane stock.
Zevran would smirk and goad her if he could see her now. ‘Oh mi amor, you are so deft with your fingers with other hardwoods, what’s a mere branch of pine?’ She flushed crimson at her impression of her Sunshine.
He had found his fingers in beadwork. Delicate confections of beads and pearls. Gems and velvets and satins and chains. Careful hair nets and caplets for his favorites in the orphanage.
He could string a set of the tiniest, littlest seed beads you have ever seen, without a thought.
And her hands that could guide a blade cleanly through any surface… couldn’t through wood.
She shook her head in dejection; A city elf shouldn't even be here. But she was a Warden…and Zathrian’s clan had asked her to join them as their guest.
She stood up abruptly, a few of the others in the circle taking notice, but their projects were still well in hand and soon returned too.
Leaving the circle of crafters to wander, she decided to see if anyone else had something that her hands may yet draft too.
She never had an eye for drawing. Sculpting made no sense.  Dance was all left feet while she was a lead foot on right.
She was never afforded musical training. A bow was as close to a harp as a battle cry was to a choral.
She paused at a fire of elders. No papers, no instruments or weapons seen.
They seemed willing to gaze at the fire.
So she waited. Annoyed and curious.
“And thus the slow arrow falls" she catches the end of the prose.
‘Not sure what to make of it, exactly, but a slow arrow catches those unaware; even the shooter. You don’t know exactly where your quarry will scatter. He has created enemies, willing to protect the ones who cannot fight?’ she asks;
“What is the moral of this tale, who has been betrayed and why?”
The Dalish around her gaped for a moment, then recognizing her outsider status, chose to entertain her.
They relay the traditional message, the idea that the God of Rebellion is also of I'll omen and a major source of their collective woes.
And she is inspired
“The slow arrow falls, claiming its kill. The people weep and grieve, give reluctant praise. But he who shot said arrow is far removed, beyond the outcome's touch. They do not understand individual grief, who the people feel to be so targeted. Only self preservation and instilling harsh truths.
“And the archer looks on, chagrined if not bemused, as those who sought to flee now unite.
“By becoming the focus of their hate they will have a clear path.
"Hate the old gods. The abandoned.
"Mythal and Andraste and Tridda. Women of fire and vengeance and force! Whose husband's are of punishment and violence. Of war.
“Rebellion requires focus, a spark, fury and passion and kindness."
She stares deep into the flames. Memories of towns full of undead, the fade full of demons and offers. An Arch Demon uniting a squabbling set of factions. Her forces rally with collective grief, and overwhelming hope.
“The slow arrow falls, and in its wake, comes change.” Refocusing, she looks about the circle, the men and women with blood writing on their faces staring incredulously at her.
“That is… not quite right, da’len,” one speaks up, voice gentle and a bit bemused. Her shoulders sag a bit at their tone, embarrassed for letting her mouth wander.
“But, it is an interpretation that may have merit. You have seen much in your life.” the elder shifts on the blanket they are lounging on, making space.
“Come sit, let's see what other stories you have an answer for.”
Isabeaux beams, and eagerly waits for the next tale to be shared.

Tumblr media
The year 2024 brings a fresh wave of creativity and innovation to the world of wedding fashion, particularly in the realm of wedding blouse back designs. Brides are increasingly embracing modern trends that infuse their bridal ensembles with elegance, sophistication, and a touch of individuality. From intricate embellishments to daring cutouts, here are some of the most captivating blouse back design ideas that are taking center stage in 2024. More blouse designs
Sheer Sophistication wedding blouse back design: Sheer fabrics like net, organza, and lace are reigning supreme in blouse back designs this year. These ethereal materials offer a delicate glimpse of the skin, adorned with intricate embroidery or shimmering embellishments. Sheer panels can span from the neckline to the waist or strategically cover specific areas, adding a subtle allure to the bridal ensemble.
Illusion Magic wedding blouse designs: Illusion neckline blouse backs are casting a spell on modern brides with their enchanting design. Featuring a sheer panel embellished with lace, beads, or crystals, these designs create the illusion of a floating neckline. The delicate balance between modesty and allure makes illusion necklines a popular choice for brides seeking a romantic yet contemporary look.
Bold Cut Out Wedding blouse designs: Brides are embracing bold and artistic cutout designs on their blouse backs, making a striking statement on their special day. From geometric shapes to intricate patterns, these cutouts add a touch of drama and modernity to the ensemble. Whether adorned with embellishments or left bare for a minimalist aesthetic, bold cutouts allow brides to express their unique style with confidence.
Embellished Extravaganza Wedding blouse designs: Blouse backs adorned with statement embellishments such as sequins, crystals, and pearls are stealing the spotlight in 2024. These dazzling details create a focal point of glamour and opulence, elevating the bridal attire to new heights. Whether arranged in floral motifs, geometric patterns, or abstract designs, embellishments add a touch of luxury to the blouse back.
Lace Appliqué Delight Wedding blouse designs: Lace appliqué details continue to enchant brides with their timeless elegance and romantic charm. Delicate lace motifs are strategically placed on sheer or opaque fabrics, creating a stunning visual effect. Whether cascading down the back or adorning key areas, lace appliqués add texture and sophistication to the blouse, capturing the essence of classic romance.
Asymmetrical Allure Wedding blouse designs: Asymmetrical blouse back designs offer a modern twist on traditional bridal attire, captivating brides with their avant-garde aesthetic. Featuring uneven hemlines, draped fabric, or asymmetrical cutouts, these designs add intrigue and movement to the ensemble. Brides looking to make a bold statement on their wedding day are turning to asymmetrical silhouettes to showcase their individuality.
Sensual Backless Styles Wedding blouse designs: For brides seeking a daring and sensual look, backless blouse designs are the epitome of allure. These designs feature an open back that showcases the bride's bare skin, exuding confidence and sophistication. Whether adorned with intricate straps, embellishments, or draped fabric, backless blouses are a captivating choice for brides looking to make a statement.
Capelet Drama wedding blouse back design: Capelet blouse back designs are adding a touch of whimsy and romance to bridal ensembles in 2024. These designs feature a detachable capelet attached to the blouse back, creating a dramatic silhouette. Crafted from sheer fabric, lace, or tulle and embellished with embroidery or beads, capelets evoke a sense of fairy-tale enchantment, perfect for brides embracing a dreamy aesthetic.
Ribbon and Bow Accents wedding blouse back design: Ribbon and bow accents are infusing blouse back designs with a playful and feminine charm. Whether in the form of thin ribbons or oversized bows, these delightful details add a touch of nostalgia and romance to the ensemble. Brides can incorporate ribbon and bow accents as decorative elements or functional closures, creating a whimsical and enchanting look.
Geometric Glamour blouse back design: Geometric patterns are making a bold statement in blouse back designs, appealing to modern brides with their clean lines and contemporary aesthetic. Whether in the form of laser-cut motifs, embroidered patterns, or beaded embellishments, geometric designs add a touch of sophistication and glamour to the ensemble. Brides looking to showcase their modern sensibility are turning to geometric patterns to elevate their wedding attire.
In conclusion, the blouse back plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall look and feel of a bride's wedding attire. In 2024, modern brides have an array of captivating design options to choose from, each reflecting their unique style and personality. Whether embracing sheer sophistication, bold cutouts, or romantic lace appliqués, brides are making a statement with their blouse back designs, ensuring a memorable and enchanting wedding day ensemble.

Fabric Flower Experimentation 1
For my final design there will we be a variety of flowers embellished on to the dress and cloak to link in with the gardens at Cannon Hall. Here I experimented with a variety of different styles and techniques to see which ones work the best and look the most aesthetically pleasing.
Firstly I cut out a circle from a variety of different fabrics to see what would happen to it if you burned the edges as for my hand embroidery sample creating the purple flowers I used ... in which when I burned the edges all curled up emulating the shape of petals. Below I used calico, cotton, ...

The results showed that ... worked however ... ended up just burning and not creating that petal like shape.
Tumblr media
With that information I took the ... in which did work and cut out a variety of different sized circles.
Tumblr media
I then using a candle burned the edges of the circles causing the fibres to melt and curl up forming the petal shapes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the pink flower I arranged the circles in a petal like format and then sewed them together with a bead for the centre whereas for the white flower I places three different sized circles inside each other then sewed together using a sequin and pearl. This was a lot easier as I do not have a lot of time to make these flowers and have hundreds too create.

In conclusion, I do like the look of these and believe they will look good when I large number of them are all compacted close to each other however I am just worried about the time constraints and don't think I have the time to make them all. In addition to this although the burning idea is very effective I have to use poly cotton for my dress and intend to make flowers out of this as well in which will not burn so I don't know how that will work.

Never in my life have I regretted anything more than I did now.
“Me and my big fucking mouth,” I grunted, getting up from the ground and dusting my leather pants. Gray Worm looks at me with a slightly amused expression. Of course he would, he just dropped me onto my ass for the fifth time today.
It had been almost two weeks after the Small Council meeting. There had been a few more since then, but no major topics were discussed, other than Varys begrudgingly backing what I had said about Cersie having scorpions when asked if his little birds had any news. The new armor and weapons for the Unsullied are also being made. After a few talks with Daenerys, Gray Worm, a few Unsullied commanders, and I, the new armor design was decided on. Surprisingly the Unsullied were very artistic people and had great ideas.
And, within the past two weeks, I’ve been tortured everyday, my limbs aching all the time, threatening to fall off. Everyday, I’ve been woken up at four in the morning for my sword lessons with Gray Worm for five hours a day. When I said I wanted to learn, I didn’t mean I wanted to train to be the world's best swordsman of all time.
“You’re enjoying this way too much,” I say towards him, wiping away the sweat on my face.
“I have no idea to what you are referring to, My Lady.” Gray Worm says, feigning innocence.
“You can’t call me ‘My Lady’ and then drop me on my ass for the fifth time.” I pointed out.
Gray Worm smiled and got into a fighting stance and I mirrored. “Your defense has gotten better; however, your strength and stamina is lacking.”
He gave the signal and charged towards me, going to swing towards my left. I sidestepped and blocked the hit with my sword before knocking it back. This time, I went for the attack, but Gray Worm expertly blocked me and knocked the sword out of my hand. The sword clattered against the stone ground, landing a few feet away from me.
“Maybe it’s best we stop for today.” He says, picking up the sword and placing it back onto the rack. I let out a sigh of relief and walked over to the inches, grabbing a towel and wiping the sweat away from my face and neck.
“Be honest,” I said, turning towards him. “Am I a lost cause?”
He snorts out a laugh and shakes his head. “Apologies, My Lady.” Once he’d composed himself he answered, “No, I do not believe you are a ‘lost cause’. It may seem difficult now, but it will get easier later on.”
“Wow, wise words,” I said sarcastically, taking a swig of water from the canteen. “They should call you ‘Gray Worm the Wise’.”
“I’m pleased that you think I am someone with wisdom.” He says, giving a small bow, making me chuckle.
After the lessons, I took a bath in my room, this time with the help of the servants. The first few days I would have them leave so I could bathe myself, but I guess over the days it just naturally happened. Once bathed and dressed in a white dress with gold embroidery and pearl beads before I made my way to the hall to have breakfast with Daenerys.
Not only was it a good way for us to get to know one another (mainly her learning about me) as well as discussing future events and how we would maneuver through it. However, not all of it. I had made the decision to not tell her about Jon Snow or the White Walkers, I think that’s something she should organically go through. All she knows about Jon is that he’s the King in the North is Jon Snow, Ned Stark's “bastard” and the former Nights Watch Lord Commander who came back from the dead.
The doors to the hall were swung open for me and I walked in, spotting Daenerys at the head of the table, looking through some documents. The sound of the doors closing, snapped her out of her thoughts. When she saw me she smiled, which I returned.
“What did I say about bringing work to the dining table,” I lightly scolded. She gave me a sheepish look and protested, “it can’t be helped, it's important work. As Queen I’m expected to do this and more.”
I walked over to her, carefully taking the documents and setting them off to the side. “Dany, you’ve been a Queen since you married Khal Drogo. You need to step back and take some time to just be Daenerys. Otherwise you’ll grow overworked.”
“Alright, alright. If you’re so sure.” She nodded towards the servants to begin serving the food. Like always, an array of food was laid out for us to eat. We both began to eat, making small talk and updating each other with any new updates.
“Gray Worm has been telling me that you’re quite exceptional with a sword,” She teased.
I playfully rolled my eyes, groaning, “not you too.” She let out a laugh, teasing me some more. “What? He says you’re a fast learner. He says he’s never seen someone land on their arse five times in a row.”
“Right, that’s it.” I huffed. “I’m running away.”
Daenerys laughed some more and I tried to hide my smile. Truthfully, she reminded me of my younger cousin in Volantis, Mera. Both of them had a heart of gold and an innocent child-like soul deep down.
“The servants told me that you refused to have your hair braided.” Daenerys points out. She’s not wrong. Instead of braiding my hair I opted to leave it in a ponytail or let it down.
“Well, I haven’t won any battles.” I said. “Each one of your braids represents a battle won, I haven’t won anything.”
“So if you win you’ll braid your hair?”
“Sure, why not. Why? Do you not want me to?”
“No, no. Actually, I would quite like that.” She smiled.
I eyed her suspiciously, “don’t tell me you’re planning on putting me in the frontlines.”
She shrugged. “Maybe. Your lessons with Gray Worm are going well. Who knows, by the time we’re ready for war you’ll be a master swordsman –or rather swordswoman.”
The rest of the breakfast went fine. Daenerys and I decided to take a stroll around the castle ground claiming she has something to show me. She dropped off the papers in her office before taking me through the back of the castle to the open fields in the back. The wind swept by us, carrying the saltiness of the ocean and the fresh scent of grass.
“Where are we going?” I asked as she led me deeper into the field.
“I just wanted to show you something. They’re right over there.”
We stood atop a hill and at the foot of the hill on the other side resting were Daenerys’ dragons. I felt my heart stop. No way. What the actual fuck. My mouth ran dry as I looked over the three dragons. Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, all in their full glory. I looked over to Daenerys who was already looking towards me.
“You’re serious?” I ask. She smiles and nods. “What if they don’t like me and decide to eat me?”
Daenerys laughed, her cheeks turning pink. “They will do none of that sort, I swear. I have a strong feeling that they will like you.”
Carefully she led me closer to the three dragons. With every step they just grew more and more. They towered over the two of us and stood with immense power. And to think that these three are just a small fraction of the size of Balerion and the rest of the Targaryen fleet.
We stood a few feet away but I could still feel the heat that they emitted from their bodies. Their majestic eyes that were probably the size of my head watched me carefully. Shiny scales adorned their bodies that looked to be about the size of my hand or bigger. Their one claw nail was the same size as my limbs.
Holy fuck was this crazy. I’d read about these dragons and even saw a few drawings made by people who’d seen them in textbooks, but being this up close and personal with them was a whole other experience.
Oddly enough, for such dangerous creatures, they seemed to emit a sense of calm.
“You feel it too?” Daenerys eyes my reactions to the dragons. “Their calm.”
I nodded. “I thought my heart would be doing somersaults in my chest, but it’s not.” After the initial shock, I felt my body relax.
“They’re so beautiful.” I said to no one in particular.
We hung around them for some time, allowing me to get used to their presence while Daenerys told me stories about her and her dragons.
I looked over the dragons. Drogon, named after Daenerys’ husband Khal Drogo. Rhaegal, named after Rhaegar the Dragon Prince. Viserion, named after Viserys the Beggar King.
Daenerys followed my gaze to the cream and gold scales dragon that laid on the grass alongside his brothers. Viserion and Rhaegal seemed to play fight while Drogon watched.
“Despite their playful nature, those two are the oldest.”
“What?
The dragons carefully made their way over to where we stood. Drogon moved towards Daenerys, moving his tail around her as if giving her a hug. Rhaegal moved around behind us, opting to lounge. Viserion, however, moved closer to me. His green eyes bore into mine, as if it was trying to communicate with me.
He brought his face closer to me, like a dog wanting to be pet. I glanced back at Daenerys who nodded.
Viserion tilts his head when I carefully bring my hand up to stroke his gold and cream scales. A deep purr comes from him, nearly startling me. He nuzzles his head into my palm and purrs some more. It wasn’t like a cat's purr, more like a deep bass.
“Would you like to fly him?” Daenerys asks.
“Yes,” I replied without a thought, too entranced at the dragon in front of me.
She moves around Drogo, standing to the side of him.
“Stand like this,” she says. “This is what I find the easiest.”
I mimic her stance, standing besides Viserion. Drogon crouched down and Daenerys carefully stepped up, using his scales and spikes to seat herself atop the dragon.
I copied her, being careful to not hurt Viserion (not that I’d be able to) and sat myself on top of the gold dragon. It was uncomfortable, almost like riding a really large horse with spikes and scales. How Daenerys was able to ride her dragons without a saddle or harness was beyond me.
My hands gripped onto the spikes on Viserions back, holding on tightly as the gold dragon began to shift around from a crouched position to fully stand. My hands gripped onto him tighter as I tried not to fall off. I peaked over its massive body to see that Viserion was getting ready to take off.
“W-wait!” I looked towards Daenerys who was watching from atop Drogon. “Why is it taking off? What do I do?” Panic filled my voice.
There was no way in seven hells that she thinks that I can fly, right?
“Hold on!” She grins just as Drogon takes off into the sky. VIserion gets ready and I can already feel myself slipping off. He takes off just as I adjust my position, hunching down and tightening my grip onto his spikes.
Wind rushes past my ears and my hair flows all over the place. Instinctively, I closed my eyes while Viserion flew in the air. I could hear Daenerys call for me from across the sky.
“Open your eyes!” She says. “You’ll be safe, I promise.”
Carefully, I opened them. It was brighter up in the sky than on the ground and had a lot less clouds. I could hear the, surprisingly, gentle flaps of Viserions wings. I cautiously looked down, seeing that we were miles off the ground, so far up that we could see Dragonstone Island and I could feel my stomach start to buzz.
“Don’t look down,” I look up to see Daenerys. “When it was my first time I was terrified, as well, but you cannot let your fear control you or else it will transfer to your dragon.”
I nodded, taking in her words and sitting up straight with confidence. Despite still feeling uneasy I managed to get my grip on things (literally). Daenerys’ words rung in my ears.
“Your dragon,”
I’d read of Dragons bonding with non-Targaryens or non-Valyrians, case and point being Hugh Hammer riding Vermithor during the Dance of Dragons. But it would make sense if I could bond with Viserion in light of recent findings.
“Alright, let’s see what we can do.” I said to Viserion and I.
Daenerys and I spent the rest of the day riding our dragons. It was challenging, especially the part where you literally have to hold onto for dear life, but rewarding in the end.
In the end Viserion and I had truly bonded. He would know what I was thinking or how I was feeling without even saying a word to him. At first I thought it was just the two of us getting the hang of each other, but Daenerys explained that this was what she and Drogon felt. It was hard to believe that I was a Dragon Rider. But then again, this past week has shown that anything could be possible.
Getting off the Dragons was harder than getting on, my dress snagging on its scales, but not ripping entirely.
“I can help you with your riding,” Daenerys says as we walk back into the castle.
“I’d like that.” I replied. “I’m sure we can find books in the libraries that can help us too.”
“Have you uncovered anything else?” She asks, expectantly.
I shook my head. “Nothing of significance. I’ll keep reading and let you in on my findings.”
We split off so we could clean ourselves up and get ready for dinner. The bathtub was already ready for me when I entered the room. I pulled off my dress and sunk into the steaming hot water. The tension in my shoulders loosened and I dipped my head back to rest on the edge of the bathtub.
The weight of my necklace lay heavy on my chest, a firm reminder of my… predicament. I tried not to think about it all, otherwise I’d just spiral into some rabbit hole. Some days I wonder if it’s all some sort of dream. A long, vivid dream that I can't wake up from. A knot pulls at my chest, and my throat closes. My eyes flicker up to the ceiling, tears threatening to fall. I took a deep breath, the only thing I can do is take everything in day by day.
And then I fully submerged myself into the water.
