How and Why You Should Create Informational Content with POVs
Informational SEO content, by itself, only drives traffic.
It’s the ideas you put inside that determine whether it’ll drive anything else besides that (say, conversions, revenue, etc.).
But unless you’re a media outlet where the goal is to get views and clicks for ads, you don’t just want traffic.
You want your content to persuade your readers to do something — whether it's to sign up for a product trial, buy your product, or contact you for a consultation.
That's where points of view (POVs) come in. We’ll go into more detail about how POVs help your informational content drive sales, but first, let’s define what they mean and see an example.
Note: informational content is simply content you create to inform your readers about something. It doesn’t necessarily contain an opinion, call to action, or a sales pitch, just helpful information about a certain topic or object.
What’s a POV? And what does it look like?
As the term implies, a POV is your unique perspective or view about a topic. It’s how you see a particular concept — and it’s often formed by your experience or observations (or both).
A good example of a POV is something Kick Point’s president Dana DiTomaso did with a recent Whiteboard Friday, titled: “GA4 Audiences: Not Just for Ads!”
Right within the introduction, Dana shared her perspective (POV) on one of the features she thinks people weren’t using as much as they should:
Other articles on the same topic might be preaching other ideas, but Dana’s POV is that Google Analytics 4’s Audiences are more capable than just using them for ads.
And throughout the article, she continued sharing her unique perspectives on every point she raised in the article and video.
I’ll share why POVs like this are super important in the next section, but what Dana did with that piece is an example of what a POV in an informational content piece looks like.
Put another way, a POV is what you think as a person or as an organization about any given topic. It represents YOU. When asked, “What are your thoughts on {insert topic}?” Your response is your POV, and it is unique to you and your brand.
But why are POVs relevant for creating informational content?
There are probably many other reasons to use POVs in informational SEO content, but these five stand out:
Reason 1: Form deeper connections with search visitors
By providing your point of view on a topic, you're offering your audience a glimpse into your thoughts, values, and viewpoints. You're sharing a piece of yourself.
You’ll often need to dig into your personal experiences, thoughts, or even the experiences of other people and share your opinion on the topic.
As your audience consumes your “POV-driven” content, they’ll feel as if they’re getting to know you. And that, right there, is the connection you want to create — because people often prefer buying from people they know.
A good example of content forming a connection with the reader is the Moz piece I shared earlier by Dana. Another one is an article by ConvertKit on “How (and why) to build your first email marketing funnel.”
It immediately starts with the writer (Kayla Hollatz) sharing her experience about when she first heard the term “email funnel.”
This intro immediately shows the writer’s POV or viewpoint: email funnel is easy; doesn’t require an MBA to understand or use.
It eases the reader’s mind into the piece and encourages them to keep reading. And the more they do that, the better your chances of them taking the action you want them to take.
Reason 2: Become the go-to for “serial searchers”
Ever met people who have a strong habit of googling for answers to every question they have? (Hint: I’m one of them)
I call them (well, us) “serial searchers.” Once a question pops into our heads, it doesn’t take us too long to plug it into a search engine for answers.
And as we do that, we’d find that there are certain brands or publishers in specific industries/niches that often deliver the answers that:
aren’t fluff,
have been written by subject matter experts, and
actually solve our problem.
Over time, we recognize these brands as “thought leaders,” and they’re often going to keep getting our clicks when we see them in the SERPs (search engine result pages).
But I wanted to see if this is just me or if other search engine users have similar habits of recognizing certain brands as “go-to” sources for answers.
So I asked my LinkedIn connections if they typically click results from certain brands more than others. The result:
Apparently, 80% of search engine users in my network tend to recognize certain trusted brands as the go-to source for information or answers.
The bottom line here is, you want to be that website — or better yet, THAT AUTHOR — for your audience. And sharing unique and helpful POVs in your SEO content is one effective way to do that. And this is even more important now that Google rewards Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) in its search algorithm.
Reason 3: Hold attention for longer
If you share POVs that are helpful and unique, you’ll get readers excited about your content and make them more likely to stay on your page longer.
One time, I wrote an article featuring a couple of B2B marketers.
I asked them how long it typically took them to determine whether they'll read an entire content piece. Here are some of their responses:
In essence, they’re saying: It takes only a few seconds to decide whether a content piece, likely to consume 10 minutes of our time, is worth our attention.
If your POV is strong enough, chances are high they’ll wait. They’ll read your headline and then your intro. So if your POV resonates with them, they’ll keep reading.
Reason 4: Drive more conversions
Think about this for a second: Imagine you’re selling CRM software. A potential customer who doesn’t even know they need a CRM tool goes to Google and searches for “how to manage customer relationships.”
Your content is on the first page, so they click it. Once they’re in, the first line reads, “Customer relationship management isn’t about customer relationships. It’s about driving more revenue and conversions.”
Right there and there, you’ve introduced a POV that’ll likely pique their interest. Now, they’re in a “tell me more” kind of mode.
And if you play your cards right (more on this in a bit) and convince them that a good customer relationship management tool will grow their revenue, they can get inclined to sign up for your product.
Reason 5: Become a socially relevant brand
SEO content (informational or not) is usually not designed to be shared on social media or other platforms. Marketers who create this type of content are often only looking to get organic traffic from search engines.
And that often results in creating content that’s not engaging enough to make people want to click and share with friends in the industry (or content that doesn’t help your brand be socially relevant).
But if you’re creating content with specific POVs, you are likely to build a social brand — aka a brand people want to talk about and share on social media. An exemplary demonstration of this is the approach revenue intelligence platform Gong uses with their blog content.
They’re almost always creating informational content that’s both search engine friendly and engaging enough for social platforms. For instance, their blog post on Value Selling is crushing it in the SERPs as well as on social media.
When they shared the content on LinkedIn, it garnered over 180 likes, seven comments, and 10 reposts (which is huge on LinkedIn).
Meanwhile, it’s ranking on search engine results pages (SERPS) for 25 keywords, meaning it’s organically driving search traffic:
This is happening because they’re not just cranking out SEO content; they’re creating search-friendly content with POVs that help them build a brand that’s socially relevant.
Bottom line: creating informational SEO content doesn't mean you can't also create content with a point of view and personality — in fact, it's often better to do so.
How to create POV-driven informational content
Here are some of my best tips for creating POV-driven content:
1) Find relevant product-related topics
There are lots of topics swirling around in your industry, but you don’t need all of them.
Instead, you want to pick the ones that are most closely related to your product; those are the ones that’ll attract your target customers.
Once you find them, you’ll need to narrow down your POVs on each of them.
But before that, here’s how to find your topics in the first place:
Plug in your main product-related topic or keyword into Moz Keyword Explorer and it’ll give you a list of related topics.
For instance, if you’re a B2B software company selling CRM software for real estate businesses, a major topic for your business would be “real estate CRM.”
Plug that into the tool and it’ll return a list of keywords and topics you can use in your content.
Your primary job here is to be brutally honest with yourself about which of these related topics would:
be the most interesting for your audience,
give you an opportunity to share your POVs, and
present opportunities to drive sales for your business.
For instance, as a CRM software brand for real estate vendors, you’ll need to ignore keywords like “real estate agents near me,” and focus on topics related to CRM software like “CRM for real estate agents.”
Resist the temptation to select any topic just because it has a high search volume or a low level of competition. Put your focus on topics that’ll interest your audience and bring value (leads, revenue, etc.) to your business.
Next, narrow down your POVs on each topic you pick.
2) Identify your POVs on selected topics/keywords
Once you have your topics and keywords selected, identify your distinct point of view on each one.
Nothing too complex here, just your true position on each topic that you can defend.
And you can make this POV-identification process easy by simply asking, “What do I, or we as a business, think about {topic}?”
For example, what does a brand like Drift think about AI marketing — or the role of AI in marketing? Here’s what their POV looks like:
It’s simple and to the point.
Having a POV doesn’t always mean having big, grandeur ideas to share. Sometimes it’s simple and represents what you truly think about a topic — based on your experience and observations.
That’s the crux of having a POV.
It should represent you and your brand. It shouldn’t be something you just hand off to interns or inexperienced content creators to figure out.
It should be something that gets shaped by your expertise, experience, and values. That’s what your audience will connect with. They’ll connect with you and your ideas.
3) Introduce unbiased, contrasting approaches
First, what are “contrasting approaches?”
It’s simply the practice of introducing different POVs or methods to a problem.
Done well, contrasting approaches help to showcase one important element: your credibility. It tells the reader, “I’m placing all the cards on the table. Make your choice.” And they love it; 72% of customers — from a Gartner survey — said they prefer completing their purchase without the help of sellers.
They want to decide on their own without being told what to do. And introducing contrasting approaches, and genuinely highlighting the pros and cons of each, helps them do that.
Drip comes to mind here. They created a series of articles on Drip vs. other email marketing platforms, and they’re decently unbiased. This is what Drip vs. MailChimp looks like, for instance:
Buyers often appreciate seeing different sides to an issue like this without feeling as though you’re trying to manipulate them, so Drip’s execution was on-point here.
With contrasting approaches like this, you get to demonstrate your knowledge and authority on the topic, while also inviting your readers to think critically and compare their own opinions with yours.
Important note: It’s important to truthfully provide both sides of an argument — not just the one that supports your POV. But of course, ‌it’s okay to be a bit biased here and say you prefer your product over others — but genuinely explain why.
4) Back your POVs with recent data & case studies
It’s not enough to just state your opinions and perspectives on a topic. You need to support them with credible and relevant evidence that shows why your POVs are valid and valuable.
One of the best ways to do that is to use recent data and/or case studies that reinforce your points and make them believable.
For example, if you’re writing about how to optimize your website for SEO, you can use data from Google Analytics or Moz to show how your strategies have improved your traffic and rankings.
When you back points or claims with data like this, you eliminate objections and make your content more believable. And the more people believe your POVs, the more likely they are to trust you and the strategies, products, or services you offer.
5) Infuse your POVs into all parts of your content
All parts of your content here means: the headline, introduction, body, and conclusion.
Make sure to weave POVs all throughout your content — from start to finish.
And this simply means instead of just stating facts and figures, share your thoughts and experience for every point you raise.
Remember my point earlier about how sharing POVs means sharing a part of yourself with your audience — i.e. your own thoughts and views?
When you infuse POVs, you’re doing just that, and it’s an effective way to build a strong connection with your audience.
POVs aren’t just opinions
They’re informed opinions based on data, research, experience, or insights.
They show that you know what you're talking about and that you have something valuable to offer. They also help you stand out from the crowd and differentiate yourself from your competitors.
For example, if you're writing a blog post about the best SEO tools for beginners, you could share your POV on why Moz is better than its competitors — from your real-life experience.
By sharing your POV, you're not just providing information. You're providing value. You're showing your readers that you understand their problems and you have a solution for them.
Sharing POVs inside informational SEO content can help to drive conversions because it builds trust and rapport with your audience. It also shows that you're confident and authoritative in your niche. And it makes your content more interesting and memorable.
So next time you write SEO content, don't be afraid to share your POV. It could make a big difference in your results.

Ways to make money blogging
So without further delay, I will discuss some of the most profitable ways you can make money blogging.
So let's get started.
CPA Marketing
CPA stands for Cost per action and the marketing part of it explains how you market the CPA offers to make money with your blog.
This has made the number on our list because it's gradually taken over the traditional blog monetizing practices simply because it pays 200% more than display ads on your blog.
Generally this is how CPA marketing works.
As a blogger, you are required to sign-up with a CPA Ad network and promote offers using a referrer link on your blog widgets. Each time someone signed up for the offer you get paid.
While display ad networks like AdSense may pay $0.5 per clicks or $1 per 1000 impressions. You make up to $15 or more for just one action your visitor takes through a CPA offer you are promoting.
Watch how you can make money with CPA marketing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6z0eo-kJJw
The beauty of CPA marketing is that you are not necessarily required to sell products before making money as far as your visitor's register or signup on some of those partner site, you are credited.
Affiliate Marketing
Bloggers make millions of dollars with affiliate marketing day in day out. This is a green light that you can also do the same.
It's not rocket science and involves just a few clicks to sign up, get your affiliate link(s) and start promoting affiliate products to make money while you focus on creating content.
This work best if you promote niche related products or services on your blog.
There are great affiliate programs such as Amazon affiliate which is one of the most popular affiliate programs.
Others include web Hosting companies that also pay very good commissions and multiple affiliate ad networks you can sign up and promote hundreds of affiliate offers to make money.
Sponsored content
If you ever wonder why bloggers sometimes write reviews for brands or company products and services, the reason is pretty simple. They are paid to do so and it's called sponsored content.
Brands pay bloggers to write positive reviews for their new products and services and they pay heavily for those sponsored posts because of the exposure they derive from it.
All you need to do is to contact some brands (businesses) within your niche and offer then sponsored content offers and you be surprised how positive they will respond.
Bloggers charge from a couple of hundreds to hundreds of thousands of dollars for sponsored content.
It all depends on the size of your traffic and reach. Be cautious when asking for the price as overpricing will scare them away.
Sell digital products
You can create or buy digital products with resell rights and start selling them on your blog right from the first day. Digital products also include various training for various digital skills.
The demand for these products is much and growing every day as many people aspire for skills that will create them more income streams or become their own boss by starting up various businesses.
You can buy multiple digital products on Amazon or eBay. Buy then and offer some as gifts and sell some to make money using tools like ConvertKit.
You will need to research on what is related to your niche and what possibly your readers will be interested in buying such as e-books or video tutorials to get it and sell it on your blog keeping 100% revenue.
Sell physical products
You can also sell physical products on your blog even though you don't build or create those products and here is how to sell a physical product to make money blogging.
Buy products on websites like Aliexpress and other dropshipping websites, in your country or area. Once you have those products, list them on websites like Amazon or eBay and sell for profit.
Display Advertising
Displaying Ads on your blog to make money is one of the most popular ways of monetizing blogs and still used by most bloggers.
However, it's not the most profitable nowadays which is why is not on top of our list but highly recommended.
The good thing with selling ads or display ads on your blog is this. You make money every day and night as far as your audience keep coming to read your blog.
This is why Google AdSense has over two (2) million publishers using AdSense to monetize their blogs.
AdSense, as well as AdsTargets, are typically the best Ad Networks for bloggers to make money blogging through display ads.
How to make money blogging
Now that you know most of the ways to make monetize your blog and make money. Let's look at how you can actually make money blogging.
Create an email funnel / Email List
The first-way process is creating an email funnel that will allow you to keep your audience engaged and keep coming back to your blog as well as sell your products to them through your funnel using services such as ConvertKit
Building an email list gives you endless opportunities to grow your blog traffic and increase your search engine rankings. Each time you create a new post, you will be able to send an email to all your subscribers to read your blogs.
Your email list helps you also to market your affiliate and CPM offers as well as other digital and phisical product you may choose to promote on your blog.
Content and Content marketing
Content is really the core or the pillar of your blog money making strategy. Whatever you want to achieve with your blog center's on your content.
Content should actually be your first priority because in this game, content is the king and every other strategy depend on your content.
You should focus on creating unique and quality content. Aim to have at least 100 quality blog posts and well optimized for your relevant keywords.
This way, you will be able to get free quality traffic from search engines such as Google, Bing and others. This will be explained more below.
Search engine optimisation (SEO)
So why search engine traffic? Well, you need search traffic to actually make money and it's the best long term strategy to get quality free traffic.
Everything from setting up your blog, creating content, establishing authority all depend on your search engine optimisation. Here is how you should implement your SEO on the blog (Blog SEO).
#1. Keywords research:
Keyword research is the foundation of your blog SEO and traffic. Research and use the most relevant keywords in the main pape of your blog in the title, meta description and in the body section of your blog.
This is the first step of informing search engine what your blog is all about.
Imputing those keywords makes it easy for your audience to find you whenever they search for queries or related keywords bringing you tones of quality free traffic.
#2. Title tags:
On every page of your blog, you need to optimise your title with at least your focus keyword(s) and is should not exceed 65 characters.
This makes it easy for search engines to easily crawl and index your pages as well as understanding what your page is about.
#3. Meta description:
Just like the title tags, your meta descriptions is a bit longer with 165 characters which explain a bit more about your page content.
It is very important you include the same keywords you include in your title tag here as well for consistency making it easy for search engines and people to understand your page content.
Well optimize titles and meta descriptions helps increase your click through rate in search engines results.
#4. Content length:
Content length matters especially when it comes to blog post. On the main page (Home page) of your blog, I will suggest your content exceed 600 words.
The same applies for your blog post. Recommended words should be at least 600 words. However, we advise your blog posts should not be less than 1,200 words.
Tumblr media
The reason for this is, Google, as well as other search engines, prefer longer and valuable content. Having longs and well-detailed content will have a positive impact on your ranking and even when you don't have high page authority.
#5. Sitemaps
Make sure you create at least XML Sitemap in the public html forder on your host.
XML contains all links on your website which make it easy for search engines to find and index your pages and have a better understanding of your content.
You can use free SEO plugins in WordPress to create sitemaps or use free tools like XML Sitemaps to create, download and upload those sitemaps in your host.
#6. Robot txt
Robot.txt file is responsible for allowing search engines to index your websites and links on your website and is a must-have.
You must make sure you have it live at all times in your public_html folder to always give search engines access to index your blog.
This can be done in your Google webmaster tools.
#7. Internal links:
Always make sure you link to other pages on your blog especially pages with similar content.
This is great for your SEO and considered as one of the ranking factors.
Internal linking makes people spend more time on your blog reading your posts which tells search engines your content it valuable which increase your rankings in search engines.
It also helps both your new and old posts rank faster and better in search engines providing more value for your SEO.
#6. External links (backlinks)
External links also known as backlinks serves as recommendation or upvotes for your blog to search engines.
It basically tells search engines that your content is valuable which is why other blogs are referring their visitors your content.
This has a massive impact on the overall rankings of your entire blog and individual blog posts.
Although it's not easy to acquire backlinks, there are ways can reach out to other bloggers asking them to link to you using tools like Semrush to find prospects or HARO to contribute to journalists and experts so they can link back to you.
Guest blogging is another great way to acquire backlinks. You will have to reach out to your niche related experts and ask to write for them to get backlinks.
How to start a blog for free and make money
There are multiple free blogging platforms that allow you to start a blog for free such as Wordpress, bloggers spot, Tumblr, Wix, Reddit, github.io etc.
In fact, you will pretty much do a lot with these free blogging platforms such as monetizing with Ads, selling stuff, collecting emails, affiliate marketing and much more.
However, with free stuff, there is always a limitation and to be frank, these free blogs comes with crazy URLs that are not easy to remember by your audience as well as some limitations to customize and manage your content.
If you would ask me my opinion about using free blogging platforms.
My advice would be this... Please budget at least $100 and start a blog by buying a domain and a hosting plan to start blogging.
Tumblr media
Treat your blog like a business and you will make more money blogging than using free blogging platforms.
People and other business partners won't also take you seriously. Some Ad networks might not even accept your registration.
Conclusion
Blogging is a business and should be treated as one if you really want to make some money blogging.
From the first day, you decide to start a blog, map up a strategy to create quality content consistently. Always remember that content comes before anything.
Your second priority should be to reaching out to other bloggers within your niche to collaborate. This will get you backlinks, increase your domain authority, increase your visibility and organic traffic.
Thirdly, Your blog monetization strategy should be diverse and broad.
This is what really makes you money and make your blogging life more interesting.
Choose a niche you are interested and make it unique in your own way. This will keep your audience engaged and you won't be bored working on your blog.
I wish you all a successful blogging career.
Please, let us know your opinion about this post in the comment section.

This 1 App Could End Up Replacing Everything
Tumblr media
If you’re a social media fiend, chances are you spend all day everyday scanning Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Or, maybe like some, you like spending most of your time on TikTok and Snapchat (other social networks be damned…). Either way, you probably have something to share or offer. Maybe you like to make beats in your spare time. Perhaps you have a YouTube channel you’re looking to grow. Or maybe you’re a writer on Medium whose latest article just went viral. The bottom line is, we all have links we want to direct our audiences to – Patreon, OnlyFans, YouTube, or otherwise. Given that this is inevitable, the app (or link in bio) you use to promote your works should be something that helps you get results, shouldn’t it? And preferably, it should be an app that makes the process simpler and more streamlined, not more convoluted. After all, no one wants one more app.
What About Landing Pages?
I know, I’m a big fan of landing pages too. I’ve created and leveraged many over the years. But builders are kind of pricy (you’d better be using one if you want access to the best templates), and let’s face it – unless you have a perfect offer to market fit, getting people to sign up is hard. Even when you have the perfect offer, Campaign Monitor says the average conversion rate for a landing page across all industries is 2.35%. That means you need to draw 1,000 visitors to your landing page just to get 24 conversions (rounded up). Sure, landing pages sometimes do better. But exactly how much time, energy, and money do you want to spend on endless A/B testing with fonts, colors, copy, imagery, videos, button variations, and more, just to get a few signups? It's too much for the average person.
Enter Link in Bio Solutions
Obviously, there are a few “link in bio” solutions out there. And they’re all great. Honestly, I’m not here to diss any of them, because I’ve tried a few myself, and I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience with any of them. The great thing about these solutions is that they bypass a lot of the guesswork. You can prioritize the links you want to show first, so you can get more clicks on those. With most, you can usually include links to your social media profiles, and sometimes embed your latest media, like your latest podcast episode, music release, or YouTube video. But that’s all most link in bio solutions have been designed to do. Is that wrong? No. But someone realized that link in bios could be taken to the next level, that they could be the best of both worlds, or in this case, all worlds.
The 1 App That’s Transforming the Link in Bio Concept
The newcomer that’s fast transforming the “link in bio” landscape is Koji. When I saw it for the first time, honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. But once I started digging a little deeper, I quickly realized that it offered more than any other solution out there. For FREE. It has built-in mini apps that allow you to collect donations, crowdfund your next project, sell locked content and NFTs, create Cameo style videos, collect emails, and more. If you’re going to send people to a link in bio, it should be one where you can do all of that anyway, right? After all, aren’t you sending people to Patreon, OnlyFans, YouTube, OpenSea, PayPal, Kickstater, ConvertKit, and other destinations anyway, even if you’re already using another link in bio platform? Wouldn’t it make your life a whole lot easier to be able to do it all from one central space, AND direct people to one link instead of half a dozen or more? That’s why I recommend checking out Koji.
Is Koji Just for Musicians?
Not at all. It’s great for all types of creators – NFT owners, eCommerce businesses, artists, musicians, and more.
What Does Koji Cost?
It’s FREE!
Are You Playin’ Me, Bro?
No, I just think it’s a great app you should check out. That’s why I brought it up. 😉 So, join the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Def Leppard, and Walk Off The Earth who already have their own Koji link in bio. Read the full article

Best Email Marketing Services for Small Business
Is email marketing a priority for your Small business by 2020? Searching for the right email marketing tools?
Choosing the correct email marketing service will significantly affect your marketing campaign effectiveness.
In this article, we’ll analyze and compare the best small business email services.
Choosing the best email marketing service is vital and why?
Email marketing is one of the most cost-effective for small business marketing strategies. In the U.S., email marketing sees an average return on investment ( ROI) of 4300 percent for businesses.
This is because email marketing is easy to manage, gives you full control, and allows you to contact your customers directly.
It is important to understand that so much of your marketing success depends entirely on the software you choose, as they are responsible for ensuring that your emails are actually delivered.
If you’re not careful, then you’re going to end up paying a lot more for fewer marketing features and at awful email delivery rates (which causes you to lose even more).
Which marketing tool would be perfect for email marketing?
A good email marketing system should allow you to create highly engaging email newsletters with a user-friendly interface (ideally, drag-and-drop).
You should be able to send out bulk emails easily, that are actually customized and targeted without much work. This is also known as automated marketing.
Besides that, your marketing service needs to make it easy to manage your contact list, segment users into groups, and track your marketing campaign performance.
1. Mailchimp
Mailchimp is one of the world’s most popular email marketing service providers primarily because they offer a free email service plan that will last forever.
Mailchimp comes with a user-friendly, drag-and-drop email template creator, group segmentation of contacts, autoresponders, and simple analytics tracking. It also allows you to set delivery times based on time zones of the user, and you can set up geolocation-based segmentation.
MailChimp can be easily integrated with WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and many other platforms.
Mailchimp provides an eternally free program allowing you to send 12,000 emails to up to 2,000 subscribers. This plan is quite limited since you don’t get features like optimization of send-time, advanced segmentation, multi-variate testing, etc. You must also display their brand identity in your email. Last but not least, support is limited to email only – this is great if you’re a hobbyist, but then would you need reliable help that you can count on as a serious company.
Their paid plans start from $10 / month for up to 500 subscribers, and the price increases as 500 subscribers rise.
2. Constant Contact
Constant Contact is one of the leading and fastest-growing email marketing services. It is also the easiest email service to use and to beginner-friendly.
Your email lists, addresses, email templates, the marketing calendar, and more can be easily handled.
That account gives you access to easy monitoring and reporting, built-in social media networking tools, free image collection, list segmentation, integration of Facebook ads, and a strong Shopify stores eCommerce integration.
Your Email Plus accounts also come with great features such as email automation, drip promotions, coupons,  surveys & polls, charity donations, and subject line A / B testing which helps you submit targeted emails to optimize your open rate.
Constant Contact offers unrivaled customer support with live chat, phone calls, email,
community support, and an extensive library of useful resources.
In addition to online training, they also offer live seminars in-person throughout the United States. This helps small business owners to quickly understand and start using the fundamentals of email marketing to expand their company like a pro.
Constant Contact has a trial period of 60 days. After that, their pricing starts from $20/month.
3. Drip
Drip is a powerful marketing platform for eCommerce, bloggers, and digital marketers in enterprises. They offer a wide variety of tools to enable marketing automation, sales funnels, and customization.
To all common website builders like WordPress and WooCommerce, their email program provides seamless integration. This helps you to quickly add pop-ups to your website / sign up forms, and catch more leads.
Which takes Drip apart from the Campaign Monitor rivalry is, their advanced marketing automation systems, smarter email segmentation, split testing apps, list groups, and a visual workflow builder. These features allow you to get more sales to targeted customers in your mailing list.
Drip’s service options include service for live chat, webinars, software training, comprehensive courses, free guides, and excellent documentation.
Drip offers a free trial, and their paid plans start from $49/month which includes all their features.
4. Sendinblue
Sendinblue is a complete enterprise SMS and email software. They constitute one of Europe’s fastest-growing email marketing platforms.
This platform is incredibly easy to use for producing beautiful and highly engaging emails with excellent tools. A quick email drag & drop editor is ideal for beginners with no marketing experience.
Sendinblue provides beginner-friendly marketing automation tools that will allow you to send transactional emails, create workflows for automated email monitoring and user segmentation. This can also pick the best time to submit bulk emails using its AI algorithms to ensure the optimal deliverability of emails.
Sendinblue offers a completely free email marketing plan that allows you to send up to 300 emails a day, but all of your emails will be marked out. Pay-out plans start at $25 a month. You can also add SMS to your account, but the price may differ according to your sending requirements.
Sendinblue also provides a free SMTP bulk email service that can be used to drive transactional or automatic emails from your WordPress account. You don’t need this for email marketing campaigns, however, if you have a large website; it is a nice feature to have and automatic emails based on real-time content.
5. ConvertKit
ConvertKit is a comprehensive forum for professional writers, authors, and advertisers to market emails. It is extremely user friendly and incredibly strong.
The unique aspect of ConvertKit is that you can conveniently deliver content updates and rewards through the use of email signup forms. This also comes with simple auto-responders to handle and therefore, allowing you to send drip emails from your email service.
For ConvertKit, customers can quickly be segmented into those who are interested and those who have already invested. It helps you improve conversions that sound more personal with automatic emails. This is called targeted email marketing, in marketing terms.
ConvertKit provides support based on email and has a comprehensive knowledge base with great learning content.
ConvertKit provides a free 14-day trial, and prices start at $29 / month. They are now giving a program of a 30-day refund.
Wrapping up
As we are aware, there are many email marketing services out there. We’d like to make sure you choose the one that suits your business needs. As we mentioned earlier, each tool has their unique features and pricing model, so it’s up to you to pick the best one.

Ninja Writers Academy: Start an Email List
Tumblr media
I get ideas for these lessons, a lot of the time, by paying attention to what comes through our Facebook group. This week, someone posted about starting a newsletter and I realized we haven’t talked about email marketing in a long time.
Here’s the thing about having an email list: it belongs to you.
It’s hard to imagine Facebook or Amazon going out of business–but just watch the news right now. The president is trying to curtail Amazon. Facebook is having confidence problems. You just never know. If your entire connection to your readers relies on one of those, then if they collapse, so does your access to your fan base.
But, if you have an email list? Then you can reach out, no matter what any other service is doing.
Here are some sobering facts though:
If 20 percent of your list opens any single email you send out, that’s on the good end of normal. Thirty percent or higher means you have a very active, engaged list. (Read: you are never going to write an email that everyone reads.)
If 2 to 5 percent of the people you sent your email to actually click on a link you’ve sent them, then you’re hitting industry standard. (Read: the vast majority of the people you send an email to will not act on it.)
People are going unsubscribe, pretty much every time you send an email. Industry standard is 3 percent. When I email this blog post to all of you (there are about  15,000 Ninja Writers on my email list), I expect about 15 to 20 people to unsubscribe. (Read: don’t take unsubscribes personally–sometimes people just aren’t in the place to hear what you have to say.)
Okay, now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about how you can start building an email list.  It all starts with an email service. You can use a free service like Mail Chimp when you’re getting started. The problem is that the free services are generally clunky to use. So, especially if you’re not very tech savvy, you might want to invest in your writing business (and yeah, it’s a business, even if you’re not making money yet) by signing up for a really good email service.
I use ConvertKit. There are lots of others, but since I’ve never used them, I can’t really speak to them. For your first 1000 subscribers, you’ll pay ConvertKit $29 a month. (After that, Mail Chimp and most of the free services are comparable in price with ConvertKit.) There aren’t too many products out there that I’m really, really evangelical about, but I truly love ConvertKit. You can click here before April 6 if you want to check them out for a month for free, just to at least see what a premium service is like compared to a free one.
Okay, so once you have your service set up, you need to get some folks on your list! My favorite place online to get ideas for email list building is Video Fruit. Here are some to get you started.
ASK. Seriously. You can easily build a landing page on ConvertKit (which is one reason why I love it over the free services, which pretty much require you to have a website  to link to.) Post a link to it to your Facebook page, your Instagram, where ever you connect with your friends. Send a message to your mom, your best friend, your third-grade teacher–anyone you can think of–and say: “Hey, Bob! I’m starting a newsletter about my writing. Can I add you to it?” Easy peasy.
WRITE. Start a Medium blog and include a link to your email list landing page at the bottom of every post. You can use a free service like Upscribe to add a form right to your posts. It integrates easily with your email service. Voila.
OFFER SOMETHING. Come up with something that your readers might really like. It can be shockingly small. A checklist or a one-page printable is fine. Think of it like bubble gum at the check out counter. You want it to be something very small that doesn’t take a lot of thought. You want your reader to say, “well, yeah, of course, I want  that.” Offer it in the form or on your email landing page in exchange for an email.
I think that’s enough for this week. Next week we’ll talk about actually writing your first newsletter.
Here’s your homework this weekend, Ninja!
Are you in this week? Leave a comment here and let me know.
Sign up for an email server–either a free service or a free month at ConvertKit.  And ask your friends to sign up.
Come show work on Facebook.  It can help to get feedback from other writers.
Come hang out with me during office hours. I’ll be online in our Facebook Group on Sunday 3/31/2018 to answer all of your writing questions. I’ll email Sunday morning and post on Facebook to let you know exactly what time office hours will be. Make sure you click the link below to join the mailing list so you get the email about the time of the office hours.1
Please share this post on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest, and spread the word about the Ninja Academy.
If you haven’t joined the Academy yet, you can click here to do that.
If you’d like to support Ninja Writers, check out our Patreon page.
Don’t forget to visit our new Ninja Writers Shop!

TravelCon Update: Why You Should Be in the Room Where it Happens
Tumblr media
Posted: 4/29/2019 | April 29th, 2019
TravelCon is now only TWO months away!
This is going to the biggest travel media event of the year and the only one that focuses on all sides of the industry: traditional writing, blogging, YouTube, Instagram, and photography.
If you’ve been thinking of getting into the travel industry, don’t wait much longer as we expect to sell out again. We only have 130 tickets left and, when we sell out, that’s it.
Here’s a recap of last year’s event:
Tumblr media
So how will TravelCon help you?
Think of the millions of blogs, Instagram accounts, vlogs, and freelance writers out there.
How do you stand out among them all?
How do you become more than just another email in someone’s inbox?
By becoming a face.
What gets lost in this age of online hyper-connectedness is that old-fashioned face-to-face networking wins. When people know you personally, they are more willing to work with you. When they’ve talked to you and shared a beer with you, they WILL open your email.
Because you are no longer just another random stranger on the Internet.
You’re a cool — and REAL— person.
Someone they want to work with.
For example, last year, one of our attendees struck up a conversation with a rep from Czech Tourism — and ended up producing an ad campaign for them:
youtube
(Great video, huh?)
That’s the power of in-person events.
It allows you to talk in a way online pitching and communication can’t.
You’re only as successful as your network — and that network is strongest when it’s based on real-life connections.
And, if you’re worried you’re too much of a beginner, an attendee came last year who knew she wanted to do something in the travel industry — but she wasn’t sure what. Well, now she is running a successful tour company based on what she learned!
All within less than a year.
Tumblr media
***
This event is going to be bigger and better than last year’s, and with only two months left to go, there’s not much time to get your ticket and make your plans. Over the last few weeks, TravelCon preparation has kicked into high gear:
1. We released our initial schedule. (There’s still a few more talks and speakers on their way.)
2. We signed our Friday night band! (I’m going to keep it a secret, but they were featured in an Apple ad!)
3. And, finally, we signed on more sponsors (with more on the way), including:
Adthrive AdThrive is the leading ad monetization platform for high-quality, mid-sized digital publishers, empowering content creators to make a living doing what they love while the company manages the advertising for them.
Bucketlist.Club BucketList.Club is a startup aiming to help its members accomplish more of their bucket list goals by introducing them to influencers and businesses with relevant experiences and offerings. We developed a business model and features that help Influencers promote their content and identify commercial opportunities, all while they inspire others with their content.
ConvertKit ConvertKit are creators who help creators earn a living online. They have the best email marketing software on the web. Their features are built by bloggers for bloggers to help online businesses grow their biggest asset: their email list.

You’re a cool – and REAL- person.
Someone they want to work with.
For example, last year, one of our attendees struck up a conversation with a rep from Czech Tourism – and ended up producing an ad campaign for them:
youtube
(Great video, huh?)
That’s the power of in-person events.
It allows you to talk in a way online pitching and communication can’t.
You’re only as successful as your network — and that network isn’t strongest from real life connections.
And, if you’re worried, you’re too beginner, an attendee came last year knew she wanted to do something in the travel industry.

Today, with locations in 12 cities across Europe and the US, the company’s mission is to provide safe, fun, and unforgettable experiences through superior customer service that creates memories and smiles that last a lifetime.

But the home of Blues, Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll is so much more. Memphis’s unexpected combinations create one-of-a-kind experiences.

They experience activities and destinations the same way our readers do—firsthand—making it possible for Moon to deliver up-to-date, reliable, and entertaining information.
Providence Historic and hip, charming and chic, Providence, Rhode Island combines the best of a quaint New England town with the amenities and sophistication of a larger city. How To Start a Blog - Easy to Follow Guide for Beginners in 2019
How To Start a Blog - Inspiring stories of bloggers making six-figure incomes continue to excite people. The surprise doubles when it is known that most of these “rich” bloggers started off on blog writing as a hobby.
Tumblr media
Regarding thoughts on how do I start a blog or How To Start a Blog, the important step is to maintain a mental vision of the content you will write and how that can connect with a target audience and spray interest in a potential audience. The value and efficacy of blogs have been further reinforced by digital marketers who use blogs as a top tool in the promotion of products and services online. That has certainly upped curiosity on its dynamics especially the paradigm, what is a blog and how does it work. Surging online readership has catapulted blogs into unprecedented prominence and established itself as a great tool for digital marketing. Knowing the origin and evolution of blogs can be interesting. Basically, blog stands for “weblog” meaning an online journal. It all began as personal mini sites where people started writing their opinions, personal stories, observations, shared photos, and videos.
How to Start a Blog?
Now more people want to write blogs. There is obvious curiosity on how to start a blog as umpteen success stories are bombarding people kindling blogging passion and anxiety for fame and good money. That raises the quest on knowing the possible avenues of monetizing a blog. Before thinking of money, a blog must discover its audience and keep cultivating new readers. There are strategies to promote, market, and grow blogs. A leading blogger claims that his blog traffic surged 2,052 percent in just a year. Blogger Ryan Robinson shares some blog ideas on how to create a blog. He could earn thousands of dollars as passive income from blogging and also brought him closer to 2 million talented readers. In his view, the journey to be a successful blogger involves learning new things and challenging oneself. Ryan shares many tips that gained him millions of readers within a year from a meager readership. However, blogging experts also advise keeping undue expectations under check at the starting phase of blog writing. Looking for rapid results will only breed disappointment. Today’s successful blogs do reflect the high passion of people on the subject matter. They treat blogs like an investment and their returns surge as they invest more in terms of value.
Why care is needed on Domain Name?
Tumblr media
Choosing a good domain name is the starting point of blogging and is the most important task as well. There are many blog name generators currently in use. Taking the help of blog name generators is a fine idea in creating a nice blog/domain name.  But certain elements are worth considering before finalizing a domain or blog name. The domain name must match the concerned business. Make sure the domain name is chosen well. It must be catchy, crisp, easy to pronounce and can be remembered fast. Avoid complex words else users will type the wrong spellings.  Panabee Blog is one of the top blog name generators. There are lots of free domain name generators. These online tools offer names that suit the keywords offered for search. They also process preferred extension(s) for detailed search. One of the prominent domain name generators is Lean Domain Search (www.leandomainsearch.com). Domain name search tools as in GoDaddy are also a case in point.
Domain Registration
The benefit of cheap domain registration is that it can stave off many pressure points on the costs. Getting a personal server will be a great relief to run a business on a tight budget. A cheap domain registration brings easy access to free services in the timely accomplishment of business goals. Top domain name providers include GoDaddy and NameCheap.  Most WordPress hosting companies also come up with free domain names in their subscription offers.
Basic Preparation to How to Start a Blog
Create a name for the blog and choose a domain Get a hosting provider Choose your blogging platform or content management systems Identify your niche and decide the topic to blog Design your Blog Page with a clear theme Create About, Contact Us pages Set up a Content Strategy Plan a Regular Publishing Schedule Use Free Photos and Designs Publish and Promote Posts to earn money
Types of Blogs
While learning how to make a blog also decide on where to begin—niche blogs or personal blogs.  Niche blogs are noted for their focus on specific topics and can have a broader range. Equally popular are personal blogs as in the case of celebrities and influential people. Blogs written by influencers enjoy huge follower base.
Tumblr media
One example is Neil Patel’s blog. Patel is a globally famed digital marketing evangelist whose fan base is many millions of readers. Subject matters of the blog can vary from single topics to a wide range of ideas. Common blog topics include. Small businesses Technology Gadgets Automobiles Health and Wellbeing Parenting Food and Recipes Celebrities and gossip Sports Product reviews Career advice
Where to Blog?
We come across many advice peddlers on how to create a blog for free. They advise people wanting to become bloggers to write blogs in free platforms. These blogging sites help in developing a readership base fast. Some of the free sites are. WordPress (www.wordpress.org): To set up a blog, explore WordPress.org which is known as the king of free blogging sites. The benefit of free hosting can also be leveraged here though it is advisable to work out a long-term strategy and opt for paid hosting. This will give better control on the look and feel, and money making options on the site. Wix (www.wix.com): Wix is another free website builder and noted for smart designs suiting both beginners and advanced users. The blogger only needs to arrange the layouts or select templates. There are many free and premium themes and templates. Wix AI also helps to create a site based on the preferences of the blogger. If it is to be done personally, go for a selection of template and layouts via the WYSIWYG editor. Medium (www.medium.com): Medium is the right choice for people who want to write and access an audience without bothering about having “my own site”. Medium offers opportunity for all to open an account to write. The advantage is exposure of the writer’s content to a wider audience. Medium commands a base of 60 million readers a month. Blogger (www.blogger.com): As the oldest free blogging site, Blogger is popular for starting personal blogs. Just open an account and pick a default theme and writing can start. There are multiple appearance options and the site comes with many ad spaces.
Limitations of Free Blogging Sites
Tumblr media
Capturing email addresses from readers using tools like ConvertKit, running ads, affiliate programs and activities to make money will be restricted in free blogging sites. Regarding how to start a blog for free and make money, let us understand that free blogs want user to upgrade. After growing the reader base, when a blogger tries to switch or upgrade to a better service, hassles crop up in terms of taking time to grow in another platform and losing the traffic already established. Visit - High DA Guest Blog Website
Making Money from Blogs
Making money with hobby blog or business blog is possible. Here we look at how to start a blog and make money. Place CPC//CPM Ads: Placing ads on blogging site can be useful. Two popular types of ads are CPC/PPC Ads: These pay per click ads are mostly banners that can be placed within the blog content or sidebar. When a reader clicks on the ad, the blogger will be paid. CPM Ads: Cost per 1,000 impressions is called as CPM Ads or ads that pay a finite amount of money based on the number of people who viewed the ad. Getting a Google AdSense account will take care of these types of Ads. Relevant ads suiting the content will be offered by Google. Other PPC providers also include Chitika, Infolinks, and Media.net. Allowing private ads in the form of buttons, banners, or links can be another source of revenue. Money can also come from writing sponsored posts on a product or service of an advertiser. Other options include charging a one-time fee for placing a link within a post. Banner ads can be charged monthly.
Affiliate Links in Your Content
Affiliate marketing is a great way of monetizing blogs. Here an advertiser will be looking to sell something. A commission will come to the blogger from each sale if the buyer comes from his blogging site. A unique affiliate code tracks sale deals and informs whether a buyer has really used a link from the blogger during a purchase. Amazon Associates and private advertiser partnerships can offer a dynamic affiliate programs.
Sell Digital Products
Selling digital products through the blog platform will also yield good revenue. The products can include eBooks Online courses Images, video, or music Plugins and Apps Assess the reader's demand first and create the right digital products. Blog as a content marketing tool offers indirect money via online sales at a business website. This is done by tapping a blog’s power to attract visitors and converting them into loyal customers.

New Post has been published on http://simplemlmsponsoring.com/attraction-marketing-formula/blogging/10-websites-which-provide-freelance-writing-jobs-for-beginners/
10 Websites Which Provide Freelance Writing Jobs For Beginners
Frustrated?
Ever wondered to get a freelance writing job?
What did you find?
Few top-notch freelancing sites?
They could be Freelancer, Upwork, and Elance… or some micro job sites where you can make $5-100 per task.
You thought you’ll also buy a car within 6 months after joining one of these websites!
You probably know a successful freelance writer who just bought his car… and you’re thinking you’ll do the same…
No doubt, you can do this.
But, the freelancer who just bought the car, ask him these three questions:
When did he start freelance writing? How long did he struggle to reach there? When did he actually start writing?
So…
What will you do?
Are you going to bid on those three sites every day?
Have you decided to spend 10 hours on those sites to finally get your first client?
The irony is, you would until and unless you read this blog post till the end.
Because
If you do, something is going to change.
At least, you’ll understand that the freelancing online writing jobs do not just belong to these three freelancing sites.
C’mon!
We live in a free world. Aliens didn’t invade the earth yet.
Then, why are you in a panic?
You can think. And you can decide, even better.
Why on earth someone would get so frustrated to stop looking for a bundle of opportunities?
Technically, pro bloggers recommend not to utilize a dozen of options in many cases, probably because mixing things up won’t help. They believe, the less, the better.
But, when it comes to limiting the reach – It becomes underestimation.
So open up.
As Jerry Greenfield said:
If you open up the mind, the opportunity to address both profits and social conditions are limitless. It’s a process of innovation.
Even though I’m going to tell you 10 websites to get freelance jobs online, but I want to drip the art of getting freelance business into every reader, which means the ultimate goal isn’t to give you 10 freelance writing jobs websites but to make you ready to believe in you.
You know what they say:
Where there is a will, there is a way!
You have to have a belief on what you do or what you want to do.
Take my example. When I made my mind clear about the freelance writing service, I removed all affiliate marketing ads from my blog, because I was pretty much clear with the intent that I’m going to get the freelance writing clients right from my blog.
And, it happened.
Do you know what else I changed on my blog besides removing the ad banners?
Ugh, forget about the ‘Hire Me’ page.
I added a large text button on the header of my blog about my content writing service.
And, results were incredible.
It doesn’t end here.
I’m not alone who believes in a personal blog or website.
Take a look at Jared Christensen’s website:
Jared is a graphic and web design artist. He is a freelancer and he tells that pretty clearly when you open his website.
Let me give you another example.
Jay Hafling is a Freelance Web designer – and he is open to getting the inquiries from the clients.
So, this shows I’m not alone here.
Some other successful freelancers are quite believers on their personal blogs and websites.
I’m a freelance writer. I’m not active on Fiverr or PeoplePerHour.
But the fact is, I keep an eye on many Blogging and Freelance writing jobs opportunities, which is why I’m going to share these freelance writing job websites with you all.
Surprised?
I’ve already told that it’s not going to be those three freelancing websites that every freelancer imagines in the first place.
You’d find these freelancing job websites useful, but make sure this list doesn’t make you off the track – which means you shouldn’t be considering that these 10 websites are a freelancing world.
Remember, freelancing is a lifestyle, not just an earning model.
Take a look at the 10 Websites which provide Freelance Writing Jobs: 1. Guru
Guru is one of the top freelancing websites where freelancers get hired by the companies and customers. The purpose of adding Guru to the list is to add a reputable freelancing jobs site to the list. 10. LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a business networking and social media website. It’s more like a professional networking site. LinkedIn has a jobs section, and many of the LinkedIn users don’t know that.
You might come across a famous brand looking for a content writer or a freelance writer on LinkedIn.
What would you do now?
You’ve got a list of websites where you can get started finding the freelance writing jobs – You might want to bookmark this article to apply (for jobs) in the future…
It’s okay.
Everyone should avail the opportunities.
Let me tell you one thing!
I’d rather select 3 job opportunities out of 25 and prepare my case with my best abilities to make sure that I get hired by one of those companies.
Do you know the drill?
Apply these 3 strategies to apply for any job:
Read the approach of the employee Match your expertise with the opportunities Mold your strategy to look different
Happy?
Now, do yourself a little favour.
Give my idea a single chance.
I’m telling you exactly what I did. I learned the hard way.
I struggled, failed, learned a lesson, and then got success.
Do as I did, and probably many others would do the same.
Write a blog and offer your freelance writing service.
Offering your freelance writing service without a blog is just like claiming to be a businessman without the existence of a business.
When freelance writers ask me that what they should do when they don’t have freelance projects to do, I tell them to write their blogs.
Remember, your blog is your best portfolio. Make it right.
It’s not tough to launch a blog, in fact, it’s extremely easy. People launch their blogs using Tumblr and WordPress.com, but professional bloggers use self-hosted blogging platforms.
Read this guide on how to start a blog and you’ll realize that it’s so simple to launch a blog.
Give your clients a reason to approach you. Your blog should be that reason.
So, tell me one thing!
Which website are you going to see to apply for a freelance writing job?

Best Affiliate Programs – And the Highest Paying
As a website owner, writer, blogger or social media influencer you work hard creating quality content. Chances are you dream of finding the best ways to make money from your efforts — and that includes the best affiliate programs.
Savvy content creators look for the highest earning opportunities that are relevant to their audience. That way they can earn cash at the same time as they serve their readers, by highlighting products and services they’ve taken the time to investigate and carefully select.
The great news is that even people with small social followings or the owners of small blogs can make money from their content. With affiliate marketing you can literally earn while you sleep — waking up to see a nice juicy commission in your dashboard. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
The only problem is, there are thousands of affiliate earning opportunities. How do you find the top affiliate programs? That’s where this article can be your guide. We help you focus on choosing the best programs and networks for your needs.
What is an Affiliate Program?
An affiliate program is a program set up by a merchant to pay other parties for each new lead or sale they bring in. The party bringing in the lead or sale is usually a website publisher, content creator or blogger, called an “affiliate.” From the merchant’s standpoint, the model is attractive because the merchant only pays if a defined action occurs leading to increased sales.
Marketing affiliates like this business model because they make money by serving their readers with great suggestions for products and services. And they don’t have to create their own products to sell — they simply insert affiliate links in their content. Creators can focus on content and maintaining good relations with their audience — while the merchant handles sales, invoicing, delivery and customer support process.
Finding the Best Affiliate Programs
With so many programs to choose from, it’s daunting to select a handful to promote. So we’ve curated a list of what we consider the best affiliate programs for entrepreneurs, small business owners, creators and bloggers. We further broke down the list by popular categories that may be attractive to you.
Not every category will be relevant to your audience. Focus on finding the best programs covering offerings your audience cares about. Likewise, you should have a passion for the offerings you are going to promote. If you are not interested in them, then skip over them — because your lack of interest will be obvious.
Last but certainly not least, choose from among the affiliate programs that will pay you more. After all, you’re going to work hard on your content to serve your audience. So you should be paid well.
Best Recurring Commission Affiliate Program
Recurring commission affiliate programs are where you earn repeat commissions from the same sale, over time. For example, let’s say a reader uses your affiliate ID to sign up for a monthly software service at $20.00 per month. You earn a 30% commission initially — or $6.00 (20 x .30 = 6). But in this case, you would also earn 30% or $6.00 every month thereafter as a recurring commission, as long as the reader continues to use that service. In a year, you would make $72.00.
That’s just from one affiliate sale. Imagine over time that you make 100 sales. That would bring you up to $7,200 a year (72 x 100 = 7,200). See the potential? Here are the best recurring revenue affiliate programs:
SEMRush
SEMush’s affiliate program Berush, offers up to 40% in lifetime commission from SEMRUSH subscription sales. This follows a revenue-sharing model where the affiliate promotes SEMrush and gets a commission on every sale made in return. The process takes three simple steps: join BeRush; advertise and start earning commissions. BeRush comes with pre-designed banners, landing pages, links to SEMrush with affiliate’s unique reference ID and SEMrush widgets. Commissions are paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th of each month.
LeadPages
The Leadpages Affiliate Partner Program offers a suite of lead generation tools. With this affiliate program you get 30% monthly commissions for the lifetime of the customer. It also provides a 50% recurring commission on all sales generated, for as long as the referrals remain customers. This also expands to renewals and upgrades of their Leadpages plan.  Leadpages comes with free hosting on a Leadpages domain, more than 200 mobile responsive landing pages templates, text-to-Opt-in comes/ SMS campaigns and much more.
AWeber
Aweber’s affiliate program is an email opt-in marketing tool. Its templates simplify the process for creating visually attractive email marketing campaigns and the reporting dashboard provides insights on visitors and sales statistics. It comes with newsletters emailing, auto responding, and RSS-to-email converting features as well. This affiliate program give a commission rate of 30% for recurring referral payments.
Ezoic
Wwith Ezoic, an affiliate can earn 3% of a publisher’s total revenue on all traffic they send through Ezoic for the lifetime they use the Ezoic platform. Referrers also receive direct help from Ezoic to support their introduction to new website owners and publishers. ConvertKit

10 Criteria to Select Affiliate Programs
When selecting an affiliate program to promote on your website or blog, the following factors matter the most:
Relevance to your audience: who your audience is will help determine what products and services they will be more willing to purchase or use. For you to get started in affiliate marketing you will need to understand and segment your audience to leverage them for businesses that are looking for promotional partners. This will require an understanding of who your audience is, what products or services might be of interest to them. A large and engaged audience will raise your chances of generating higher revenue.
Commission rate: Commissions for market affiliates are often paid on a monthly basis. Some commissions for electronics such as PCs and smartphones can go as low as 1. %. Others offer high commissions and can go up by 200% for specialized services such as loans, health care, or web hosting.
Average order value: Average Order Value (AoV) calculates the average dollar amount a customer places on order on a website or mobile application. This helps determine the long term value a customer brings to the business rather than focus on individual purchases. Simply explained it is about the quality of customers you bring rather than the numbers. Customers with high AoV indicate you are driving high volume sales which means you earn more in commissions as well as bonuses and incentives from the advertisers.
Cookie length: also known as cookie life it is the amount of time when all actions made by a user, directed by you from your site, are commissioned to you. This is all about referred customers not deciding to move into action quickly. Some businesses offer a week others offer a 90 day period. The longer the cookie length it increases the window where you receive commissions and rewards in the event the customer decides to make the purchase or take action.
Recurring commissions: also called lifetime commission it is an offering that pays every month the customer is active with the companies product or service. This is often offered among software companies and membership programs.
Dashboard, data, and support: are important for you to measure progress on your promotional efforts. Unless you measure it, it will be difficult to know where you excel and where you need to improve. It is also important to have good and responsive marketing collateral to bring more impact to your marketing efforts. Support also should come in terms of offering incentives and reward packages for good performers to recognize their work and encourage them to do more.
Payout threshold: refers to the minimum amount of money you need to make for you to receive payment. Some merchants or networks require a minimum of $100. This is in a bid to encourage more sales as well as avoid transaction and processing costs for small payments.
Fair merchants: As an affiliate in marketing you are a promotions partner for the merchant. For your services, you require compensation in terms of commissions and rewards. Some merchants look for ways to avoid paying commissions per sale after the fact and don’t treat their partners fairly. To avoid such conflicts it is important that you as an affiliate make sure to do your due diligence to see if the merchants have a fair paying affiliate program offers.
Link generators – An affiliate referral link is used to promote a merchant’s website or products. It has the affiliate’s ID or username appended to the URL so a specific affiliate can be tracked when a visitor or customer visits your website. If the customer successfully completes an action a referral will be generated and the affiliate will be awarded a commission. They can also generate their own referral URL from the merchant by pasting the page URL.
Restrictions – Some merchants do not allow an affiliate to use coupon sites or discount pages. This might be because they do not want to have a lot of bargain seekers. Others will not give you commissions if your referrals opt to use discount codes for their product.
Discounts – Does the merchant offer discounts, free trials, or special offers to your affiliate? These will do a lot to help speed up conversions as people will automatically take on the impression their risk has been somewhat reduced as a consequence of the offer.

6 communities for your SaaS
I asked Anna Grigoryan, the writer behind the Engineering Growth newsletter. to share  6 communities that will give your SaaS product a boost. These communities will help you during the product development and launch stages and will provide much needed peer and community support.
  Makerpad
Back in the day, having a technical cofounder, or the “tech person” on any startup team was a must-have. VCs wouldn’t take you seriously without one. You literally couldn’t have a product if you didn’t  have a software engineer on your team. Many startups failed because they were not fast enough on the iteration cycle and couldn’t respond to their customers’ demands on time with the right solutions. Well, we’re in 2020 now, and aside the year being a total mess, it’s also the blooming spring for the no-code movement. With tools like Airtable, Coda, Zapier, Webflow, Memberstack, you can build a full-blown two-sided marketplace without having to think about authorization, hosting and the gist like that.
Makerpad is a paid community for people who want to learn about no code stack. They have a great community and love to spice up the day to day activities with events like hackathons, online boot camps and all. Also, you can hire no-code developers. A truly all-in-one experience for getting to know the no-code side of engineering.
They also have a no-code VC, which is investing in early-stage startups who use no-code tools to bootstrap. So you have all the shots in your hands.
  ProductmanagementHQ
Now that with the use of no-code toolset, you can build your platform on your own, you need to understand what to build. How to determine your MVP scope? How to define your iteration cycles? How to manage the customers’ feedback and add new features? These are very simple but, at the same time, tough questions, both for the first time founders and even seasoned experts. Product management and product-centric mindset are here to help you determine the answers to those questions.
If there was one place I would recommend to take a membership, it would be the ProductmanagementHQ. You can get a lot of valuable connections with the product managers of successful startups, participate in the AMA sessions, get your questions answered live, and without any additional “just get to know your audience” stuff.
  Demand Curve
Okay, so you built your product, you have the action plan for your future changes and features. Great! Now the hardest part, try to sell it.
How many email marketing services do you know? Mailchimp and Convertkit can come to mind. However, last time I checked (and yes, I sometimes out of sheer curiosity do these kinds of masochistic things 🙂 ) there were 160+ email marketing services. 160 Carl! They all have relatively the same features distributed over 2 or 3 pricing plans (the limit for email sending, scheduling emails, email archive, an API that claims that the emails are not going to spam). Each of them is solving a problem for a specific industry or niche..
Well, how do you stand out in the 160 competitors? There are many ways, and Demand curve is here to help you determine the zillions of options you have in your hands. They are, I believe, the most prominent marketing community out there. You can register and buy one of their courses, which will grant you access to the community automatically, or sign up for a waiting list, in this case, you’ll get in maybe in a week or two. From my experience, their review of my landing pages and sign up forms from their members were hands down the best one yet.
  Leapers
I’ve been working freelance for two years now, and also I’ve been doing solo projects for 6 months. This kind of lifestyle has great days and low days. As a first time founder, especially if you are flying solo like me, you can have those moments when you feel incredibly isolated and lonely. It doesn’t mean you don’t have a supportive family and friends, it’s just sometimes it’s tough to do things alone.
Leapers is the community I didn’t know I needed until I found it on Twitter. Their primary focus is to help freelancers and solo founders to keep in check with their mental health, support each other and be helpful during those lonely times. This is a place where you can come and rant about your shady customer or wrong sales funnel, and here you can also find great collaboration opportunities.
Being solo is possible, and I’m here to tell you that you definitely can do anything you want alone, but it doesn’t have to be sad and lonely. Check out their mental health guides, and you’ll see why I love them.
  Yourstack
Someone described this community as “Tweeter meets ProductHunt.” There’s no better way to put it. Created and maintained by the ProductHunt team, this platform is here to open the tool- stacks of people. Do you want to know which CRM is used by Producthunt founder, want to know why people don’t like a specific product? How are they using the to-do apps? What books about productivity are the best? Do you want to know other people’s stack?
Founders that are building something new must visit this platform to see the “ugly truth” of how people are using the most popular products. If you check out the Airtable page, you can see the variety of opinions and use cases. What a place to collect information about your users’ habits?
Here are just a few ways to use Yourstack:
Do competitor research to see how their customers are using them;
Do market research to find all the possible products that are being used in your industry;
Register your product and stack it;
Add pro tips to educate how your product can be used.
  Worth the try, for sure!
  Makerlog
This community is yet another one where you can find support. This time it’s for full-time independent makers. Here you can register your product and build it in public. This is a place to display your tasks, your progress and lows. Here are the most proactive people who are genuinely helping with feedback and support. Something is fascinating about building your product in front of 500+ founders, and it’s a truly transformative experience to attempt something like this.
Hope these 6 communities will be helpful to all indie hackers out there! Check out more about what my friend Anna at Engineering Growth is doing and subscribe to her newsletter here.
