Part One
Austin Butler x Reader
Tumblr media
You have the opportunity to see the dazzling Austin Butler, a world-renown Elvis impersonator, live and in action. You become enthralled with him, becoming an avid fan and attending every convention and tribute concert he attends. Very quickly, you become a favorite in the crowd of Austin's. But will it go any farther than being just a fan? Or will you stay the person in the crowd who always gets a kiss and a scarf? (Will eventually have smut. Takes place in the mid-2000s) (Y/BF/N = Your best friend’s name.)
warnings: mentions of alcohol, alcohol consumption, kissing. nothing else, really.
word count: 2049
author's note: so I got an idea the other day and decided I needed to write it immediately. special thanks to Ally, @elvisabutler for confirming that this idea needed to be posted for the world to see. thanks everyone for responding to my poll btw! it was to see how many people would likely read this. this is the first part, so nothing too exciting happens quite yet, but I hope you all enjoy (: (I wrote this in like, 2 hours but wanted to post it asap so if it's dull I'm so sorry lol)

“I got the tickets!”
You lay the book you were reading down in your lap, raising an eyebrow at your roommate and best friend, Y/BF/N, “Tickets for what?”
You’re curled up in a chair in the sunroom, reading one of your favorite books. You’re off work this weekend and didn’t have much else to do. Y/BF/N had gone out to run errands for the day. You wonder when they had time to get tickets for whatever or wherever.
“The Elvis Impersonator Convention, silly!” Y/BF/N says, plopping down in the chair beside you and shoving one ticket in your face.
“What am I supposed to do with this?” you ask boredly, eyes nearly crossing at the proximity of the slip of paper to your face.
Y/BF/N rolls their eyes, “You’re going too.”
“I probably have to work, plus, I don’t really dig impersonators that much,” you make a face as you pick up your book to resume reading.
“Trust me, I made sure you don’t have to work that day. And you never know, you might like it! There are some hot ones,” Y/BF/N giggles.
You peer over the top of your book at them, narrowing your eyes as you ponder it. It’d get you out of the house for once. If it was a Saturday, none of your shows came on TV that day, so nothing else would occupy you. With a sigh, you close your book and look over at Y/BF/N.
“Fine. When is it?”
“Tomorrow!”
“You’re kidding. Tomorrow? How on earth did you manage to get tickets so last minute? Especially at a big convention?” you ask, appalled.
“I’m a big Elvis fan, remember? I have my ways,” Y/BF/N grins.
You’re a big Elvis fan, too. It’s just the impersonators aren’t really your thing. And big events aren’t really your thing, either. So tomorrow is going to be interesting for you.
“Yeah, you and your ‘connections,’” you roll your eyes, motioning quotation marks as you speak.
“Exactly. Now, let’s pick out an outfit. It’s gonna be comfortable temperature-wise tomorrow, so keep that in mind,” Y/BF/N says, getting up from the chair.
“Alright,” you shrug, getting up and sitting your book down in your chair.
You follow your roommate down the hall to your bedrooms. If you’re honest, you don’t know what to wear. You want to look nice but also be comfortable. You wander over to your closet and flick through your clothes, spotting a dress you’ve yet to wear. It was a secondhand dress you got from a vintage thrift store, and it looks like it’s from the 60s or 70s, perhaps. It’s a soft pastel color with white details. The above knee-length dress is the only decent thing to wear, plus it’s kind of on theme. You find some white Keds to wear with the dress, quickly deciding that heels or uncomfortable shoes are a no-go.
Y/BF/N knocks briefly before barging into your room, “Did you find anything yet?”
“Yes, and thank you for knocking,” you say sarcastically.
“I wanna see!”
You show them the dress and shoes, and they nod in approval, “I’m wearing some bell bottoms and a white button-up. Simple yet effective.”
“Sounds good. Not sure what I’m gonna do with my hair, though. Maybe curlers?” you think out loud.
“You would look so cute with some body in your hair, for sure,” your roommate smiles.
“Thanks. Now that we’ve got our clothes settled, what time are we leaving tomorrow?”
“It starts at seven, and I want to walk around to look at merchandise and maybe get food or a drink beforehand, so I want to get there at five. And it’s an hour away, so we’ll leave at maybe near four o’clock?”
You take a moment to process your best friend’s train of thought, then nod in agreement, “That works.”
“Awesome,” Y/BF/N claps, “Let’s get started on dinner?”
That night, you sort of struggle to fall asleep. You won’t admit it to your best friend, but you’re a tad excited. You’ve never been to a convention of any sort, let alone an Elvis one. And you love Elvis, so it will hopefully be a pretty cool experience.
You’re standing off the side of the line at a food truck, waiting for Y/BF/N to finish ordering. You can’t help but hum to A Little Less Conversation, the last song on the Elvis CD you and your best friend played in the car before getting out. Admittedly, you’re distracted and not really paying attention as you study an interesting painting of Elvis at a merch booth nearby. Before you know it, someone runs into you accidentally.
“Sorry! I wasn’t paying attention like I should’ve been,” the man who bumped into you says.
He has jet-black hair and blue eyes, just like Elvis. From how he’s dressed, you’d say he’s an impersonator. He’s not in costume but rather in a lace shirt and colorful pants. It’s something Elvis would’ve worn, for sure.
“You’re fine! I also wasn’t paying much attention,” you chuckle, tucking some hair behind your ear.
“Well, I’ll see you around,” the man smiles, subtly taking you in from head to toe.
“Sure,” you smile politely with a nod, and the man turns around and walks away.
“Who was that?” Y/BF/N asks as they approach you, food in hand.
“I’m not sure. Maybe an impersonator?”
“I didn’t see his face, so I’m unsure. I guess we’ll find out,” your best friend shrugs, grabbing a fry and offering it to you.
“I’m good, thanks,” you say.
“Where to next?”
The afternoon turns into evening, and you’re now sitting in your seat next to Y/BF/N with an alcoholic beverage in your hand. You’re front row, much to your shock. There’s a plastic bag with some new t-shirts and various merchandise items you bought stuffed under the seat. You’re anxious for the show to start and excited to see the different performers come on stage. Yeah, impersonators aren’t your forte like your best friend, but their costumes and song choices are always interesting to you.
The lights dim, and everyone begins to cheer as the first performer enters the stage dressed as 50s Elvis Presley. He’s pretty young, probably a teenager. He starts with Hound Dog, plays a few other older Elvis songs with his guitar, and waves goodbye to the crowd with a gracious smile. A few people toss roses and teddy bears onto the stage. You’re impressed with his performance and give Y/BF/N a look of approval as you sip your drink.
“That was Alex. He’s like, fifteen I think? He’s been impersonating since he was a kid,” your best friend says, “He’s getting so good that everyone wants him to perform at their parties and weddings.”
“Impressive,” you nod, “Fifteen, you say? That’s wild.”
An older man takes the stage, dressed in a Blue Hawaii outfit. He strums his ukelele as the band starts up behind him. He energetically sings some of the songs from Blue Hawaii, and you’re dancing along with the crowd. You’re having so much fun and are excited to see your favorite era soon. 70s Elvis. There’s something about the hair and the tight jumpsuit that gets to you. You swirl ice around in your drink, getting slightly distracted at the thought of Vegas Era Elvis.
“That was Steve,” Y/BF/N yells over the commotion of clapping, “Mom dated him for a little while, actually.”
You chuckle, “Of course she did. He was pretty good!”
A very tall man in the ‘68 Comeback leather suit makes his way to center stage as he sings the songs from the Special. His performance of Memories was spot-on, and you couldn’t help but sing along. After he finishes his last song and leaves, someone comes on stage and announces a “special guest” named Austin Butler, and the crowd erupts. You look around, confused.
“Who’s that?” you furrow your eyebrows, elbowing your best friend in their side to get their attention.
“Oh my god, no way! They didn’t have him on the roster! Austin Butler is, like, the best impersonator in the world, no exaggeration.”
“Really?” you shout over the crowd, “Is he cute?”
“Oh, absolutely!” Y/BF/N says, “He’s around thirty like us.”
Before you can respond, the lights dim, and the intro music begins. You can vaguely see Austin enter the stage in the dark, shaking himself out before the lights come on. He’s in the iconic white jumpsuit, and it hugs him everywhere it needs to. You squint at his face, realizing he’s the guy that bumped into you earlier.
“That’s the guy who I was talking to earlier,” you shout in Y/BF/N’s ear.
“No way, are you serious?” they gasp.
You nod.
“Did you get his number?” they yell.
You shake your head, and your best friend frowns momentarily before going back to cheering.
The notes of C. C. Rider begin to blend into the music as Austin bounces his leg, his eyes scanning through the crowd. He begins to sing, and god, he sounds just like Elvis. He looks fairly similar to him, too, with the sideburns added to his look since earlier. Girls begin flooding the barrier to the stage, reaching their hands out to the impersonator. Y/BF/N grabs your wrist, dragging you toward them.
“Are you crazy?” you ask, trying not to panic at the thought of being right up front.
Yeah, you’re already at the very front, but not so close that the stage is right there at you.
“Of course! Come on!”
You reluctantly let them drag you up front and center as you down the rest of your drink. The two of you fight to the makeshift barricade, your best friend gleaming at Austin. You can't help but laugh at them and their excitement, but you quickly turn your head back to the stage as Austin stands right before you. He starts to sing Polk Salad Annie, and the women around you go nuts. You do, too, admittedly. You begin dancing to the music and screaming the lyrics like a crazed fan. Chills cover your body at the energy Austin is putting off in his voice. You decide you absolutely must see him do a complete set.
Austin pauses his singing for a moment, talking to the crowd.
“How are y'all doin’ tonight?”
Everyone cheers and whistles, clapping as well.
“Good, good. I see a lot of pretty women out there tonight,” Austin winks, and the girls around you squeal.
“This next one is called Wonder of You.”
Austin walks along the stage, singing his heart out as he wipes his sweat with the various scarves around his neck. It’s kind of gross, but you also find it somewhat attractive. A part of you hopes he hands some of the scarves out. And then he does. Austin leans down and kisses an older woman on the cheek, wrapping a baby pink scarf around her neck. She’s so delighted even after he pulls away.
Y/BF/N nudges you, “You should try and get one!”
You shake your head, “I am not doing that.” You definitely want to, though. But knowing many people would be staring at you makes you nervous.
Austin makes his way to the center stage where you and your best friend are, and he gets down on one knee, singing right to you. You’re looking directly up at him, eyes full of wonder as you stare into his bright baby blues. Austin leans forward, placing a pastel scarf that matches your dress around your shoulders, pulling you toward him for a quick kiss right on the lips. You blush as the alcohol starts kicking in full force, wiping your nose that got a bit of his sweat on it. You fight the giant smile that fights its way to your face as Austin gets up to finish the song.
“Oh my god,” Y/BF/N screeches, “He kissed you!”
“I know,” you say, brushing your fingertips along your lips.
Was it so wrong that you wouldn’t have minded if the kiss was a little longer?

first i would like to apologize for my constant flakiness. i'm in my mid twenties now and life is beyond hectic. i've been thrown so many curveballs, and i feel horribly guilty for teasing fics only to be pulled away by life with no way to execute what has been promised-
which is why i will no longer be teasing fics or trying to set any kind of schedules for myself.
i went and saw an elvis impersonator the other night and was shocked by how many people my own age were there. usually it's just me in a crowd full of elderly women. it had me wondering if i could connect with those girls in real life the way that i had connected with you all. i wondered if maybe- just maybe- i had conversed with one of them on tumblr at some point (though i highly doubt that). it was exciting. . . but also really sad.
my mental health is probably at it's worst right now, and a friend of mine unexpectedly passed over the holidays (hence why i suddenly disappeared). i'd like to say that the anon hate didn't get to me all those months ago, but it did. i became paranoid that the second i logged into this account i'd be met with hate. anger. people telling me they didn't like my writing anymore or those that i considered friends no longer wanting to talk to me.
so i logged out of tumblr. tried to ignore the urge to write or say "i'm alive guys and i still love you just as much" because i don't want to be seen as selfish or horrible for going on a hiatus. i also don't want any of you to feel as though i abandoned you.
this account was the reason i got up out of bed every morning for an entire year. i got to know some of your lives. your loved one's names, what you were going to school to become, your wants and dreams- and being in that crowd at the elvis show brought me right back where I needed to be. it slapped me right in the face.
guilt. regret. fear
and an overwhelming sense of love. i don't want to abandon this blog. no matter how many notes or lack-there-of i receive on future fics. . . i want to keep posting. i want to talk about austin and elvis with anyone that will listen. i'm tired of being tired. i want to be happy again, and i was so happy with all of you. i want to crawl back to this bubblegum pink blog and treat it like a dollhouse- live in here with you in whatever elvis-induced delusions we share.
so if there's anyone out there that still is active- hello. i really fucking missed you.

For this day, I would like to recommend a fic ❤️ It's a long but incredibly entertaining read with a unique set-up that I've never seen before. It's full of tension, fluff, angst, falling in love and smut. Also featuring jealous Austin who is my favorite 🔥 How does it fit into the Hollywood theme? Well, the FMC gets to work with Hollywood celebrity Austin Butler himself, as well as Baz Luhrman and even gets to meet Tom Hanks and Priscilla Presley in the course of the fic.

You are just honored to be there to help the world see EP as you do, the most brilliant entertainer of all time.
But of course, when Austin Butler is around, living in the same hotel as you, rehearsing as Elvis, you suddenly find it really hard to stop yourself from crossing over certain lines, especially when he starts to develop a special certain interest in you.

PRISCILLA (2023)
~ my thoughts as an elvis fan
Tumblr media
(credit to @urpinkstargirl for the photo)
WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD:
so I saw it last night and I’ve been stewing on it ever since as I wanted to be 100% sure in myself before saying this publicly
**brace yourselves**
After just one viewing… I feel confident in saying that I preferred this film over “Elvis” 2022 🤧. It was just so immersive and so deeply intimate that I walked away from the theater feeling like I had just lived a life with Elvis, and experienced all the ugly and wonderful things that came with it
I am seeing it again tonight and possibly tomorrow just to recapture that feeling (which made me cry… three times…)
And although I’m not the biggest fan of Sofia Coppola, there is simply no denying that she has perfected showing “girlhood” in film, and making the most unique experiences, like being Marie Antoinette and being Priscilla Presley, somehow universal to everybody. I haven’t felt being “14” since I was 14, which was a whole 5 years ago, but WHEW… I most definitely felt 14 again when watching Priscilla navigate life in Germany
Also- we all saw how Austin Butler was completely cheated out of an Oscar and so I’m begging that we do not do that again. Give the Oscar to Cailee Spaeny (who played Priscilla) right now 😤 There are no words besides “immaculate” to describe her performance. Her future is so bright as an actress, I just cannot wait to follow her career + she just seems like the sweetest person ever??
And I know it might seem insane to say that I preferred “Priscilla” over “Elvis” and some of y’all might crucify me for that take but my preference solely comes down to the fact that I appreciate Priscilla’s perspective much more so than the Colonel’s, who to me, has always been the least interesting aspect of Elvis’ story
My biggest gripe with having the Colonel narrative/tell Elvis’ life in the 2022 film is the fact that it made the film feel rather impersonal to Elvis as I don’t think the script or the storytelling ever fully allowed for Austin Butler to explore what he was like beyond the stage
And personally speaking, I have a much deeper love for Elvis the person as opposed to Elvis the performer, and I think that “Priscilla” showed the human side of him far more than “Elvis” ever did (like y’all we actually get to hear and see him reading his philosophy books in this!!!)
But before I get into what was actually depicted in film, and all my praises, I thought I would briefly state what I thought could have been done better. Don’t get me wrong, this movie was beyond amazing, however, it was definitely not without its’ faults:
1. If you have seen a lot of reviewers talk negatively about the pacing in this film- just know that they are unfortunately, completely right in that assessment. The whole timeline of Germany felt literally five minutes long, and the 70s also, felt maybe 10 minutes long which just made both the beginning and end feel rather rushed. Also there were at least 5 scenes that just faded to black before going onto the next one, and some very abrupt cuts in scenes which felt a bit awkward
2. Because this is a biopic, and because it’s based on a real life, there is no climax like you would be accustomed to normally in a film and so I think that the average viewer, like someone who may not really care about Priscilla or Elvis, will probably walk away from the film feeling unsatisfied- possibly bored. I saw it with my mom and my sister, and my mom was asleep in like 45 minutes 😭. The movie definitely got repetitive at some points but I acknowledge the fact that life is repetitive, especially for Priscilla in the 60s while Elvis was off making movies
3. While Priscilla (played by Cailee Spaeny) aged realistically and seamlessly, Elvis (played by Jacob Elordi) was essentially the same person (physically) for 95% percent of the film. For some reason, his hair was already dyed black in the Germany scenes, although we know it was brown at that time, and so there was no real transformation for him until Lisa Marie is born. The height of the actor was definitely jarring at first but eventually I got used to it…however…I damn near busted out laughing when they showed him in the Comeback special outfit 💀 His performance was nothing but incredible (ESPECIALLY THE VOICE) and so I learned to get over the physical disparities rather quickly
4. The ending of this film, particularly the song, was overwhelmingly sad and impactful but I was really disappointed that we didn’t get to see Priscilla’s and Elvis’ relationship after the divorce. This film ends with Priscilla leaving Graceland, starting her “new life”, which didn’t make much sense to me considering this movie was adapted from her book, which very much explores that part of her life, especially with Elvis
I would have really love to seen moments like this from Priscilla’s perspective ⬇️
Tumblr media
excerpt from “Priscilla, Elvis and me” (avoid this book)
5. NO CIRCLE G RANCH!!! It is borderline criminal to make a film about Priscilla and Elvis and to not include their time spent at Circle G ranch ** which Priscilla has always said were their happiest times together **. I assume that this was likely an issue because of the budget and the fact that they only had 30 days to film but god… I would have really appreciated some of the domestic bliss that Priscilla and Elvis shared while living in the trailer on the ranch. There were many happy moments/sequences (y’all are going to die when you see the rollerblading/go cart scenes) in this movie, but I think their gradual separation/withdrawal from one another (post marriage) would have hit harder if we saw how happy they were together during their ranch phase
6. For those who have read “Elvis and Me”, we all know about the famed LSD scene that takes place and unfortunately, Coppola heavily missed the mark on it. We don’t see Lamar Fike making out with a tree, we don’t see Jerry Schilling in a closet- instead we see Priscilla and Elvis just kind of rolling around, laughing amongst themselves while the room around them turns different colors
There were definitely many key moments/stories like that missing from the film, and I honestly wish that the movie was an hour longer so that we could have seen the book more fully fleshed out
Lastly, here’s just a general synopsis of the scenes in Germany… I was going to do the whole movie but I don’t have the stamina to type it all out 😭. If y’all want to know something specific please feel free to comment below and I will let you know <3!!
After the beginning credits are shown, the film starts with Currie Grant (who was renamed as Terry West) approaching Priscilla in a diner, inviting her to a party at Elvis’ house. After talking with her parents and assuring them that Priscilla will be looked after by him and his wife, it cuts to her in the back of a car, on her way to meet Elvis. The scene is exactly like how it is in the book, Elvis asks her how old she is, he remarks that she is “just a baby” and so on- Elvis then plays “a Whole lotta shakin” at the piano and that is one of three musical performances we see from him
Priscilla is then re-invited by Currie aka Terry via Elvis to comeback to the house again. Elvis invites Priscilla up to his room, she looks around and sees letters from Anita Wood, and a poster of Bridgette Bardot just like in the book. After Elvis talks about Gladys and how he is still reeling over her death, and how lonely he has felt since then, they share their first kiss to the song “Crimson and Clovers”
There are some scenes of Priscilla at school and some scenes of her sort of convincing her parents to let her continue to see Elvis. And they do agree, but just like in the book, they want to meet him first. Elvis is questioned by Priscilla’s father on why he wants to be with her to which Elvis replies that she is very mature for her age and that he likes talking to her since she is from home aka the United States. He then assures Priscilla’s father that she will be taken care of. After that we see them going to the movies where Elvis expresses how much he wants to be a serious actor, and then they share another kiss on the car ride home. It then cuts to Christmas time where we see Elvis giving Priscilla a watch and then BOOM- Elvis and her are on the way to the airport where they say their final goodbyes as he leaves for the United States
The film really does follow closely to the book (at least from 59’ when they meet to 69’- again the 70s were really rushed) and so I really recommended to read that prior to watching the movie
As for the more sensitive scenes-
There is no explicit sex, no graphic nudity, and no scene where Elvis forces himself upon Priscilla. He does say “this is how a real man makes love to his woman” but all he does is kiss her before she pushes him off. There is a rather long “polaroid-taking” sequence where it shows all the outfits that Elvis would Priscilla dress up in but other than that, we only see Elvis and Priscilla make out
And it did show when Elvis accidentally hit Priscilla in the eye during the pillow fight scene in her book, along with the scene of him throwing a chair in her general direction after she expressed she didn’t like a demo of one his songs, and the scene where he grabs all her clothes from the closet and tells her that she should go visit her parents. I don’t think that the scenes made Elvis look abusive: Coppola was surprisingly nuanced in showing that he had reasons for his sometimes bad temperament i.e the pills he took along with the fact that he was frustrated with his film career
It also shows Elvis’ infidelities but really only through movie magazines that Priscilla sees. So it’s never explicitly shown, I would say it’s more hinted at than anything
And there are two scenes of Priscilla with Mike Stone but again, nothing that is explicitly shown, it’s just hinted at
Finally, to finish this up, this is what I wrote on my Instagram account which I very much stand by ⬇️
Tumblr media
Just please give this movie a chance y’all, it was so beautiful and so sensitively done… I cannot wait to watch it again <3

Austin and Me
“Elvis-mania”
“Wife to the ‘king’. Icon to the world. Destined for more.”
Tumblr media
Summary: At 18 years old, she fell in love with Austin, at 20 years old, she became his wife, by 22, she was his doll. In which Cynthia’s life changed drastically after falling head over heels with a man that promised her the moon and the stars. She takes us down the memory lane of what could’ve been— the perfect marriage.
Inspired by the book: Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley.
I do not condemn any of the portrayals I decide to do about certain people, it’s just fanfiction. And it would be divided in parts.
English isn’t my first language so I’m trying my best!
Warning: mentions of COVID-19
MASTERLIST
COVID-19 took the world by storm and what was meant to just be some months in Australia became almost a year. Austin took this to his advantage to get more into the Elvis role, I supported him with any research he needed and with his weight gain, his accent. At first it was really enjoyable, I mean, dancing and singing to Elvis’ songs in the middle of the night, watching his movies and performances, watching Austin trying to recreate them. But then it started to get more serious, he started to go method.
I wasn’t a fan of method acting, I’ve never tried it before but I did have some co-stars that did it and it was like hell on earth, I’d like to think that he was going for a Marlon Brando route but it was starting to feel like Jared Leto when he played the Joker.
“Sit still!” I laughed as he didn’t stop moving around while I placed the hair dye on his brownish hair, he wasn’t a natural dark-haired man, as a boy his hair was this beautiful blonde.
“It smells disgusting, God, how I miss your hairdresser.” He said with a chuckle, his voice was a little thicker, a bit of a southern drawl to it.
“See? and you called me ridiculous whenever I went with her. I don’t know what she uses but it smells delicious.” I had my hairdresser back in California, she did my more trickier hairstyles, like the beehive ponytail and she did dye Austin’s hair black a couple of times before.
“Or maybe we were just high from all the chemicals, who knows?” He laughed again, yeah, maybe we did not ventilate well enough right now, I moved towards the window and opened it, not remembering that my gloves were pretty much still with hair dye, I stained that whole window up. To this day I still remember how much the landlord charged us for that one. After 30 minutes, we both kneeled beside the bathtub, I started rinsing his hair.
“Baby, you gonna drown me or something!” He said to me, if the water wasn’t too cold then it was too hot, or I was too aggressive with the rinsing.
“Then so be it!” I said to him, shampooing his hair.
Afterwards I even dried it and styled it, he saw himself in the mirror again, he finally had jet black hair again after months of just having this weird combination between black and blondish hair.
“I don’t know— I feel a little silly. Like an impersonator.” He had a grimace as he moved his hair side to side.
“You look really good. I promise.” I smiled at him and then kissed his cheek. “You can do this. Now let’s watch Viva Las Vegas for the fifth time, I’m finally getting the Ann-Margret dance.”
We did our research and everything, we knew little facts about Elvis, he liked knowing about Priscilla, I loved Priscilla. Austin found out this really interesting fact about Elvis and Priscilla’s bedroom time. As we were in bed, trying to spice things up.
“Wait, baby. We oughta try something new.” He said as he pulled away and got up from bed, he rummaged through a box of cameras we had, disposable ones, vintage ones, instants. He bought out an instax camera, with its film. “So— I read that Elvis and Priscilla did this and I wanted to try it out.”
“I’m up for it.” I smiled as I took off my nightgown coverup.
We started taking Polaroids, he made me pose, I was his model for the night. He grabbed my chin tenderly and moved it to the right direction, he got on top of me taking picture after picture. We even tried dress up, him as a policeman and doctor, I was a secretary, a maid, a teacher, we tried everything in the book.
He’d get in between my legs, kissing me all over, taking Polaroids while he was at it, taking Polaroids while I was at it, going down on him.
It was magical but it did make me feel ashamed whenever I looked at my purchase history and saw all the Polaroid films I bought during this time. We spent hundred of dollars in just the films for the instax.
I had a really good time with Austin but it didn’t really last long, until he submerged himself totally on Elvis. At first it was the voice and then it was the food, then it was his behavior. I couldn’t even remember the last time he slept with me. All I heard was Elvis, Elvis, Elvis— and not in the good way. Look, I understood him and everything but it was making me go nuts, I’m a big Elvis fan but he was just going bonkers. I lost count on how many books he read or how many hour he spent looking at Elvis stuff, he barely even spent time with Lori. I wanted to die whenever he called me ‘woman’ or ‘satnin’.
There were many times when he basically shut himself out, in the bedroom or the beach, it was like he was trying to torture me nonstop. I felt so useless because I wasn’t able to help him either. Whenever I did try to help him, he’d yell at me.
“Baby, please— you need to sleep.” I knocked on the office door, he had been there all day.
“Don’t bother me, woman.” He said sternly, I, being the stubborn I was, tried to get him out of there.
“Baby— you don’t need to indulge so much in Elvis. You should really come to sleep.” I knocked on the door once again, all I heard was silence afterwards but then the door opened aggressively.
“Are ya deaf or something?! Woman, I don’t want to hear another mouth comin’ out of your damn mouth. Ya hear me?” He said very aggressively, even he was taken aback. “Baby, you gotta let me do my damn job, so go to sleep, I’ll catch up to you later.” He dismissed me with his hand.
The king sized bed felt really empty without him there, cuddling me, kissing my head or forehead, we barely even slept on the same bed so in those cases, I’d bring Lori with me and hug her all night. I woke up to every sudden movement, thinking it was Austin but it was just my imagination playing cruel tricks on me. And whenever we did have alone time in bed, I tried wearing my cutest nightgowns, I even wore perfume to bed, Miss Dior, I adored that scent and so did Austin. God, I even wore my makeup to bed!
“Hey.” I whispered while I got in bed besides him, his back leaning against the headboard as he read Train to Memphis, I started kissing his neck softly, rubbing his bicep.
“Calm down, satnin.” He said, not taking his eyes off the book. “Ya know I’m trying to pay attention to this.” He kept on reading and reading in silence until he finally spoke up. “There a thousand women who would actually care to help and listen to me while I do my damn job. You gonna sit and listen or not?”
I stopped, I laid back and stared at him, storms in my eyes. I was trying everything to keep him looking at me yet nothing worked.
“But-“
“But nothing, woman.” He said, there was silence again, he kept on reading and mumbling the words. I sat up on the bed, hugging my knees very subtly.
“I can’t stand it! It’s driving me crazy! I don’t want to hear you anymore!” I yelled out in frustration, I even closed my eyes.
“I see a mad woman.” He said on that pretentious mumble.
“No. A woman with needs that needs to be desired. You can have your Elvis books and me too.”
He looked at me and without even saying anything, she went back to reading his book, leaving me feeling humiliated.

I dunno if I'm allowed to submit a second idea, but: I've seen in videos that Austin Butler felt haunted by Elvis Presley sometimes. Maybe write a little drabble where Elvis and Austin interact briefly? Again, if this isn't something you like, lemme know, please and thank you. 😊😊
Hi again! Thanks for this request for my 1k celebration! I wasn’t sure how to write this one, but then inspiration struck. I hope you like it ☺️
I’m still working on my last few requests, so thanks for the patience y’all! 🩷
Little ghosty blurb with Elvis Presley and Austin Butler
-
Las Vegas, 2019
Austin Butler found himself in Las Vegas on a hot summer day, sweating through his clothes as he walked up Las Vegas Boulevard, a far cry from what it used to be in its heyday. Practically all of the old hotels were gone, blasted and imploded to make way for bigger and newer mega resorts.
Researching his role for Baz Lurhmann’s Elvis biopic, Austin wanted to walk the same streets Elvis once had, to be in the city that he had immortalized and solidified into something more than just a place to gamble. Elvis had helped build Las Vegas into what it is today, while Las Vegas had paid him back by wearing him down.
Austin hadn’t gone full Elvis today, but he had wanted to dress in a subtle nod to the King, really get into the headspace. His now-dark hair was gently mussed and he wore slightly flared black pants and a 70s-patterned shirt, collar unbuttoned halfway. The streets were busy and he had to admit it was a little startling to see Elvis impersonators pass by every few feet. The first time it happened he didn’t think anything of it…
“Hey man, is that my shirt?” one startled, glittered jumpsuit Elvis asked as he walked by, head turned to look back at Austin over his shoulder. Austin shook his head and chuckled to himself as he kept walking.
“My boy, my boy,” the next one crowed happily when he saw Austin, thumping him on the back in a friendly manner. Ever polite, Austin shook his hand and kept walking. Strange, he’d never met that man but he felt familiar in some way. He eventually reached his destination, the Westgate Resort, formerly the International Hotel where Elvis had spent so much of his time in Las Vegas. He stared up at the bronze statue of the man himself in the lobby, which was eerily empty for this time of year. Lost in his thoughts, Austin jumped as a voice spoke beside him.
“Tell my story, son. Let the world know who I was. What I believed in and who I loved.”
Austin felt a chill tickle his spine as goosebumps peppered his body in the suffocating heat. He turned to look at the man next to him, another Elvis impersonator in a blue jumpsuit, this one was a bit older, a little weary looking. But his blue eyes shone brightly behind his gold shades and his lopsided smile was friendly. Familiar even. The man placed a warm, heavy hand on Austin’s shoulder, squeezing lightly.
“And give my baby girl a hug for me. Tell her I miss her something awful.” Then he lowered his shades, looking a stunned Austin in the eyes, “Go on now, ya hear? Go take care of business.”

i am soooo sorry this took so long!!! i hope you enjoy! 🫶🏼 wanted to give this movie a rewatch before i finished writing which is why it took forever LOL

nothing could have prepared you for the day you came home to elvis presley looking at the massive pile of squishmallows on your bed, muttering and examining each one closely, even admiring the blue, stitch one dressed as the man himself. “what's this weird blue alien?”
it took nearly an hour for him to convince you that he was indeed, elvis. not an impersonator, not this austin butler that you had shown him on your electronic, rectangle device that he now knows is a cell phone. you cried for an embarrassingly long time and honestly, elvis didn't really know what to do except pat you on the pack. growing up loving and finding comfort in elvis, this was a lot for you to take in, but you began to enjoy your time with him overtime. the both of you were still unsure how elvis made his way to you, but never questioned it.
he learned a lot about you, including your age regression. he thought it was sweet and couldn't wait to actually take care of you, immediately agreeing to become your caretaker.
one day, as he was organizing your plushie collection, he came across that same stitch plush, picking it up and padding over to you with it in his hand. “what is this thing? why's he dressed like me?”
you looked up from the couch, turning to face him. “oh, that's stitch from lilo and stitch. he's an alien.”
he looked at it closer, “stitch, huh?”
then an idea popped up in your head, holding your hands out for it. “gimme.” elvis chuckled and handed it to you. “let's watch it! pleaseeee?”
he looked back at the pile of plushies still on your floor, practically begging to be put back on the bed then back at your puppy dog eyes. finally giving in, he sighed. “alright, fine. but you gotta help pick up your friends from the floor afterwards.”
you clapped happily, pulling his arm to sit him next to you, handing him the remote. “now how do you work this thing…” he muttered, pressing on the buttons till he finally managed to pull up the movie.
the first time he was mentioned in the movie, he couldn't believe it. there was something so comforting to him knowing how people never had never forgotten him after so long and now he's in a disney movie? he grinned at you as you hummed along to heartbreak hotel, kicking your feet on the couch as he draped an arm around your shoulder.
“do you wanna listen to the king?”
elvis chuckled, “my god.” he was almost more into the movie than you were. completely fascinated with lilo teaching stitch how to be elvis.
you gasped as stitch dressed as elvis himself appeared on screen, pointing at the screen and shaking elvis’s arm. “daddy’s blue!”
“who do you think did it better? me or stitch?” elvis asked, raising an eyebrow. “i ain't no blue alien but boy, he can move!”
“hmm…” you looked at elvis and then back at the screen. “i kinda like elvie more….”
he tickled your side, “correct!” he cheered as you let out small giggles.
as the movie went on, he didn't realize how sad it was. “that blue guy is kinda a little shit, ain't he?” he asked to try and get you to cheer up, only to be hit in the shoulder and told to watch his language. of course, it was a disney movie–how sad could it get?
he snaked an arm around you, squeezing your shoulder and placing a kiss to your temple. the situation almost reminded you of elvis, you were always afraid that he'd leave one day. you didn't want to be alone and elvis was truly a huge part of your life now. he noticed you chewing on one of your nails as your eyes got glossy, too focused in your own thoughts and the movie. elvis noticed immediately and used his other hand to take your hand away from your mouth. “baby, daddy ain't goin’ nowhere. i promise.”
you looked up at him, “really?”
“‘course. it's just a movie after all. i’m afraid you're stuck with lil’ old elvie forever.” he smiled.
by the time the ending credits ran, elvis was the only one still watching as you fell asleep on his shoulder, snoring softly. he moved as carefully as he could before shutting off the movie and getting up. he picked you up and brought you to your bed, tucking you in and shaking his head at the array of plushies still on the floor. “you're lucky i love you.” he whispered to you before pressing his lips to your forehead, letting you sleep for the night.

Also I saw this video and this woman did a whole slide show of celebrities who took method acting too far. Why was Austin the first one on that list? Then she proceeds to say he didn’t need to do all that and mess up his voice. That the movie was boring and why didn’t they just get an Elvis impersonator to show him how to do it or just hire an Elvis impersonator to be Elvis in the film.
I’m like um.. first off I’m tired of people discrediting this man and the hard work he put into this damn film. Second.. sure you can get an Elvis impersonator to do the job. But also.. not only do they have to be able to BE Elvis.. they also need to be able to act on top of it. It’s not just about being Elvis. The man can act his ass off.
I was just so pissed lol. The way she just made it seem like being Elvis is just the easiest thing in the world.

Does anyone else see the weird double standard between timothees press tour and the reaction to Austin’s Elvis press tour? They are both very talented, dedicated actors who obviously love their jobs. But while Austin was made into a joke for trying to “embody” not impersonate, Timmy is getting praise. I’m seeing so many similarities between what iTimmy and his costars are saying and what Austin and the Elvis team said. The singing live, and dedicating his time, and staying in the zone. Im very happy Austin has Timmy to back him up regarding voice comments. lol he’s a good egg. My problem isn’t with Timmy.
No girl, I see it.
I just view it as Austin walked so that Timmy could run lol 🤭 Sometimes, someone has to take a negative hit, for the rest after to thrive and shine.
I don't even know why people made such a big deal of Austin's prep anyway? He was only doing the same exact thing that other actors before him have done when prepping for biopic films.
Didn't Jamie Foxx like glue his eyes shut for a period of time in order to feel how it would be to really be blind when prepping for the Ray Charles biopic lol? 😅
The only difference was that Austin also had the covid pandemic that shut things down for many months (over half a year), and there was mandatory isolation, etc, and so the cast wasn't sure exactly when they would be able to resume filming. So he had to stay in that mindset longer than expected, otherwise, he would have lost all of the hard work prepping he had done for so long.
Doing a biopic is really hard work. They're both great actors though, so I'm really glad they both got that opportunity. 😊 I'm looking fwd to seeing "A Complete Unknown". 👍🏾

Takes place in the mid-2000s) (Y/BF/N = Your best friend’s name.)
warnings: none!
word count: 799
author’s note: hellooo welcome to part two! idk how long this fic will be tbh, maybe 5 parts? who knows. sorry this part is so short, I just felt it naturally came to an end where I finished writing. I hope everyone enjoys (:

To say you’re Austin Butler’s biggest fan is an understatement.
After that first time seeing him, you decided you needed to see him perform again. So you attend a tribute show and have a blast. You had made your way up to the front once more, getting another kiss and another pastel scarf. Soon, you’d have a small collection of scarves- and kisses too. Because after that second show solidifying your new fixation, you swore never to miss another show Austin did. You would ask off work in advance and drag your best friend with you when possible. They had almost as much fun as you, but over time, they got kind of bored with it. Nonetheless, they still supported your obsession.
Your second favorite Elvis era was the ‘68 Comeback Era, and tonight, Austin was doing a show specifically for that. This is your seventh show seeing Austin, and you’re hoping to run into him again, whether it’s literally or metaphorically. You’re in the front again, chatting with some other people your age. You’ve gotten to know other avid showgoers. This time, you’ve brought your digital camera, and you and some of the other big fans are taking photos together. You get their phone numbers and promise to give them copies of the pictures at the next show.
The lights dim, and Austin is announced, causing an eruption of cheers and applause from the crowd. You and the other fans swarm to the very front barricade, reaching out for Austin as he enters the stage.
“How’s everyone doin’ tonight?” he rasps into the microphone, and everyone shouts back a response or whistles.
“Good to hear,” he smiles, “Everyone, please welcome the Blue Moon Boys tribute band!”
A group of men walks onto the stage, one you recognize as you’ve talked to him before one of the shows. His name is Xavier, and he’s a really nice guy. You didn’t know he worked with Austin in any way, but now you wish you had.
The men all wave and take their seats on stage, with Austin joining them. Throughout the entire performance, you’re captivated by Austin and how great he looks in the black leather jumpsuit. Austin soon gets to the center of the stage. He notices you right away, sending you a wink. Some of the older women you’ve gotten close to giggle and pat your shoulder with big smiles, congratulating you on being acknowledged. Your face feels hot, and you wave back at him meekly. The show concludes, much to your dismay. But with every show, you and some fans hang around and talk. You excuse yourself to go to the restroom and walk away from the group. You’re almost there when you nearly bump into a guy exiting the men’s room. He’s got black hair, and he’s wearing a white t-shirt that’s tucked into his jeans. He looks up at you to apologize, and you nearly gasp.
“Isn’t this the second time I’ve bumped into you, sweetheart?”
You look at him, mouth slightly agape, “I think so.”
“Well, I might as well introduce myself then. I’m Austin,” he holds out a hand for you to shake.
“I’m Y/N. It’s wonderful to meet you,” you grin, trying not to freak out.
“I’m sure it is. I’ve noticed you come to every show, and I just wanna say I appreciate it.”
“Oh,” you look down, your cheeks burning, “Sorry if that’s weird.”
“No, it’s not. I love seeing people come out and still enjoy Elvis,” Austin smiles.
“Well, it’d definitely be weird to ask for a photo with you,” you trail off, but Austin’s smile remains on his face.
“Of course! I don’t mind at all, doll.”
You fumble for your camera in your bag, trying your best not to tremble nervously. Austin hails a passerby, asking them to take the photo for you. Austin stands beside you, sliding a hand on your waist. The first photo is a basic one with both of you smiling, and the second one is Austin kissing you on the cheek suddenly. So suddenly that the photo is taken before your smile turns into a look of surprise.
“Thank you,” Austin thanked the person who took the photos and handed back the camera.
“Do you wanna see them?” you ask, going to the gallery.
“Sure,” Austin says, standing directly behind you and hovering over your shoulder.
“Those are nice. You should give me a copy sometime,” he winks.
“Oh, really?” you chuckle nervously, “I can definitely do that. I’m going to your next show, so.”
“Of course. I’ll see you then,” Austin says, walking away, “Don’t forget!”
“I won’t!” you call after him.
“I most definitely won’t,” you whisper to yourself, looking down at the photo of him kissing your cheek.

Literally everything about the Priscilla movie and the discourse it’s inspired is so bad man :(
not saying this in an "i told you so" way whatsoever, but yeah, i mean, we knew it would be. that was unfortunately a given. it's only going to get worse up until and when the movie comes out. EPE (presumably joel) also made the situation even uglier today by running their mouths criticizing it to TMZ and drawing more negative attention when they could've simply ignored it quietly. i realize i'm a slightly broken record here, and repeating a lot of others at this point too, but it's only noise. the people who revile him are always going to revile him and refuse to investigate any further about his person or his humanity, they want him to be a monster and their minds are made up. the people who who want to victimize priscilla to use her as a weapon with no care for her own voice will keep doing that. and the fans who love elvis are going to keep loving elvis. the people who want to see the movie will, the people who don't, won't, and either choice is valid.
this is how it's been for decades, social media just amplifies the unpleasantness, but it's an echo chamber. nobody yelling is attempting to engage with this with any nuance, or regard anyone involved as flesh and blood people who had complex relationships and made mistakes and also felt great love for one another. they're looking for trouble a reason to be hateful and to fight when they don't even understand or truly care what they're talking about. we know he wasn't perfect, we know he made some bad choices, we know he struggled with his health for several different reasons, we know he had a temper. we also know he tried relentlessly to do better, to learn and to grow personally and artistically, and to be generous and kind and giving of himself in myriad ways. which one do you ultimately find more important? because i really do believe it's the compassion and the light.
do i wish that the beautiful work baz and austin did to restore his legacy and personhood was the final word on it? frankly, yes, but that was never going to happen because elvis remains a fascination and an object of pop culture that gets projected onto depending on the agenda of whomever decides to use him as a mirror. it becomes so separated from why his music and memory remains. what they created still matters, and it makes my heart ache to think of it being undone at all, but i think it will ultimately be remembered, much like elvis himself.
i'm so much more interested in his artistry, his spirituality, and his emotional vulnerability than i am in intimate personal details about his life, but i know that's not the case in a lot of the fanbase, and that's fine, i am very selective in what i choose to engage with and i think we all have the right to curate that experience. i know it's SO hard to ignore, but when it comes to this discourse, don't read it, don't participate in it, and guard your mental health however you can. this movie doesn't change anything any more than any other of the many portrayals of him. more eyes are on it because of, essentially, brand recognition - both name of the director and due to the fast timing following the film last year, and all the press and clamor that surrounded it, the things said (both complimentary and unfair) about austin, the rabid nature of social media that lives to tear things apart. but it ultimately doesn't change anything.
this has been said more eloquently, but nothing has eclipsed or erased him, even after these decades of misinformation and spurious rumor and conspiracy theories and everyone and their neighbor exploiting (or inventing) their connection with him for a book or a crummy made-for-tv movie and cruel, dismissive jokes and cardboard cutouts and cheesy impersonators. something about the soul of him still rises above all of that. the positives we glean and inspiration and meaning we find, and the love we hold onto, rises above all of that too.

Austin Butler in my opinion is the only one to portray Elvis the way he should be. Austin worked hard and studied Elvis and the impersonators don't come close.

ABNews and Being a Fake Fan
it’s been awhile since I posted. I have heard of this weird twitter impersonation of Austin’s stepmother a few days ago. Here are my thoughts:
The twitter fandom is really young, dumb, and easily manipulated. All because they stan that basic nepo baby.
I am convinced that Austin’s fanbase consists mainly of stalkers who genuinely don’t like Austin at all. If they did, they wouldn’t impersonate alleged family members, stalk his family on social media, talk more about his relationships than the man himself, and gossip about Austin’s life. It’s just gross and tired.
Gio, ABnews and Mollie don’t like Austin at all. ABnews is a double agent and a weirdo. She basically threw austin under the bus about the met gala. She couldn’t even defend austin from you-know-who; she goes ghost. Trash. Gio is a know it all who basically stalked austin at Elvis screenings. Mollie is a deranged narcissist who lacks social skills and is a gossip monger who has no real friends. A true dumpster fire.
the fact that shippers and fans swore up and down that the account was the step mother is just stupid. Like below average intelligence.
The Austin twitter fandom takes gossip more seriously than their own fave. Go over to other fandoms and do that mess. I’ll love to see how those antics go.
Those are my thoughts. Kudos to the fans that called out the nonsense and didn’t fall for obvious bs.

Austin Butler Fact _01:
Despite his southern charm, Austin Butler does not hail from the south, but rather from Anaheim, California. Butler's accent comes not from southern heritage, but from the deal he made with a Genie in a Memphis back alley back in 2020 in preparation for the upcoming biopic Elvis. Excited at the prospects of bringing his new role to its full potential, Butler used his three wishes in order to walk, talk, and perform exactly like Elvis - but neglected to specify a time constraint. Whether blessing or a curse, it appears safe to say that southern Austin is here to stay. The good news, however, is that Butler doesn't seem to mind.
The Elvis actor has firmly refused to respond to these claims, leaving Elvis impersonators worldwide clamoring for information about the alleged Genie's location. A search party was organized, but quickly fell apart as a gang of Elvises was arrested for storming a McDonalds and demanding peanut butter and banana sandwiches, lowering morale for the rest of the Presley impersonators. It may be comforting to know that this is not a trait Butler seems to have inherited; perhaps he's simply more polite about it.
