A general statement of how I feel about Elsword now since I’ve returned to Tumblr. Not positive at all so I’m putting this under a read more.

It’s been a while since I’ve made this blog, and I must say I cannot see Elsword the same way I did when I first played it several years ago when Yama Raja was released.

I still have NA installed onto my laptop much to my chagrin, but playing it has become such a chore that I only log on when people need me… and the people who do need me tend to just use me for the day and call me back when they need me again.

KoG has managed to create such a wonderful game with characters and gameplay I cannot find anywhere else, yet ruined it with cash grabs and shitty management. I don’t think NA/INT servers will last as long as the KR server. I give it a couple years if I’m being honest with its dwindling population and the people I’ve already known to hop ship.

It’s a damn shame, really. I’ve only ever played this MMO. I’ve tried many others, but I always drop them shortly after.

Despite that, I still like to think about the characters. I’ll try to be a little silly on this blog once in a while as a treat.

Okay this post is a small post of ideas, I personally want to see changes for Code Ultimate since it's my favorite Eve path ever since I started Elsword way back when.

The first one is optional, but I have mentioned over on the discord that Eve should just launch the Black Hole from Generate Black Hole, someone brought up the idea of it exploding and leaving a spatial distortion I forgot what effect it would have for "clearing utility" due to...............most endgame mobs seem unaffected by suction effects??

Critical Strike or what it should be renamed to in NA is Psycho Kinesis. I would rather we remove the bleed and the retract skill option, and it should just be CU's other bossing skill, the Pink Orbs are indicator of "extra" or "true" damage and their rotation could be random. I haven't really given it full thoughts.

Edit: There is an idea for Critical Strike, replace bleed debuff for defense break.

The BIGGEST clear change I would do is make Explosion Impact different. is Eve can use this skill at any time even in the air, to use the whip and launch an Electron Wave, the first one, then a 2nd one for later. BUT the Enhanced effect gives her a special Pink Electron wave which not only travels longer, and it has a large reach, it can do splash damage, this is a bit much for a new player or someone playing CU's path, but this would be a reasonable skill for Eve to rely on. but since it has to be used once before using the third, this means you can save onto it or use it whenever you need but reminder after the 2nd/3rd Electron Wave, it will be in cooldown.

Edit: instead of a Super-Armor, just make invincible for when she uses the skill to launch the Electron Wave

This next change will be controversial.

Converting Queen's Throne as its OWN passive at level 30, this means it will be replaced for a new skill in its place, but what it gains, is once you Awaken you will activate Queen's Throne like Proto-QQ. Since you'll retain Queen's Throne's effect, I was considering Eve gaining the ability on her X commands for her to have a chance to launch some Pink Electron Balls which are just a stronger form of Electron Balls. ( I know Antithese has her own but this is for CU.) And before someone says "This is unfair", look at Yama Raja and her 7 passives and then come back to me again, or we could "give" everyone else an extra passive and skills.

Due to the changes, I will change Queen of Vengeance to a set duration of how long you remain in Awakening. On paper this seems way too strong for an Eve to use, but this is strictly a limit that we the players can't influence more on Eve is, for an amount of time you remain in Awakening you gain an amount of All Skill Damage Increase plus MP Cost reduction, the max you can even get is 10% increased Skill Damage and 15% MP Cost reduction on skills the value will never change above that. But in PvP it will most likely be reduced to 5% each.

Edit: the other option is just keep the idea of awakening for an amount of time for the ASD increase. but keep MP Cost reduction as a given passive number.

Since Queen's Throne is changed I have no idea what skill for Eve to replace that with.

Edit: I have considered giving Eve a Nasod Blade as a replacement, but that's more work than already needed.

Reinforced Nasod Weapons is a hefty change which is, only activated during Awakening. the added Nasod Spear weapons are Explosion Impact (New) and Iron Scraps plus mod. But we're renaming Nasod Spear weapons as Ancient Nasod Weapons.

My other changes are Iron Scraps [mod] needs to linger and have a far larger range to even be considered a "homing clearing skill" not that many people use it as such but it has no reach.

Extreme Cutter (Mod as well) AND Assault Spear Judgement needs more damage, and a faster speed to be considered useful for damage potential and possible clearing potential.

After all of this and a really tired brain, I said my part of what changes could be done. Code: Ultimate is the Nasod Ruler of her own kingdom. The Metal Overlord that she cannot even reach because her baby sisters have some kits at their disposal that she doesn't have or doesn't do enough in.

So that anon got me thinking.. When did they change job quests...

Let me explain.

I started this project back in January of 2020, with Richter's quest line being the very first thing in my records.

Back then, I noticed something terrible about most of the job quests I was recording...

They all... Sort of looked like this. Looking into my backlog, where I also started recording Laby and Ain- they're completely different. Compare that with Lofty: Executor's first job quest.

Now I wasn't sure what exactly was happening... But I knew this wasn't really right? But I didn't know what to do about it.

I don't know when they changed into this format, but I DO know when they changed everything... Either back or to something completely new.

The first one I recorded that wasn't any new job or character was Blazing Heart and it looks like this

Granted, this was in September of 2022, so I definitely don't have exact dates when things changed, but either way it was a step in the right direction. Such an amazing one in fact that I...

Promptly forgot about the issue I experienced all of 2020 and that combined with how many 4th jobs I recorded up until that point excitedly began trying to play every single class I could like a madman in an effort to archive things.

Then I opened this blog in late 2022, confident that I was nearly done with my archival efforts.

So if you ever wonder why things seem recorded so last minute, just know I DID have this things recorded, and usually plan to release the original recordings, but uh. They changed everything up on me. Whoops.

With the videos on each individual job class coming out, I'm sure they're most likely not going to be changing job quests again- unless they decided to do 4th jobs. Which... I mean I guess that's basically masterclass, and I wouldn't really want them to do anyway since that adds extra workload onto me.

So.

When did they exactly change job quests?

Now. An issue with this is I don't speak Korean, and was not around during 2020 Korean Elsword, so I guess this kind of ends here. I can't really tell what they were doing during then. This could be an NA exclusive issue

Now I wish I could say "I have a job quest from 2020 KR server that helps prove this may not be the case"

But although that would be nice, it wouldn't matter because I only recorded the Furious Blade 5/5 quest when someone else was doing the Jump event in 2020 very legally on their own account and barring translation differences, it is virtually the same as the 2022 version. And of COURSE I didn't record the other job quests because it was a JUMP EVENT and they let you speed through job quests........

Anyway so if it isn't an NA exclusive issue, we have no way of telling, unless someone who was using the European server or very legally using the KR server has anything from 2020 to back this up.

But, for now. Looking through the GM blog on Elsword, it's tempting to say that these are the only patch notes. But.

There was an elsword tumblr. One I can no longer find, but there was one. I suppose it doesn't particularly matter, but I promise you that tumblr had more detailed patch notes. Then they most likely moved their focus to twitter and decided to start doing patch notes on their official blog from then onward.

I had a lot of theories on when exactly it changed but I think when it did was during the dungeon revamp that happened due to Laby and Noah's dungeons being uniquely fast in EXP gain.

My evidence is that all of the current job quests align with those changed dungeons. Let's compare Lofty: Executor, because if the icon wasn't Tyrannus, it would be Richter;

This is a 2 year gap in between these recordings, so it's kind of a stretch and they could have just as easily been changed with 4th path release, to match up with the job questline videos... However, it's easier to have a script in advanced and put them in a game 1 month before you release the first of the 4th paths than it is to put them in just as each individual 4th path is coming out.

If there was any time to change job quests, it would have been then.

If anyone recorded job quests from 2021 during this update to corroborate, that would be fantastic.

Again, the only instance I think they would maybe change job quests is to perhaps suit areas for individual characters, but I sort of doubt that's going to happen any time soon.

I both want and don't want that to happen.

Lost my first account due to forgetting security codes. I was immature back then when I used to play a game. Love the game, but hate toxic gaming community.😭

I also made headcanons of them for El Search Party, but the designs that I made are slighty outdated... No worries, the headcanon and redesigns of them will be planned. Howver like Genshin Impact, the character designs are complex and I have to simplify certain parts, but I will also put cultural inspos for them. :)

My Apsara guide update is taking longer than expected because:

While I'm an Ara main so I play all the four of them a fair amount, she's my least played Ara due to trauma from the abusive ex I used to play Elsword with. No, like seriously. Seeing Sakra Devanam's base portrait gave me such anxiety for years. It started to get better after 3rd job released all the way back in 2017. Since so much time has passed in general it's much easier to separate those feelings from the class itself.

The KR patch hasn't hit NA yet and I really don't want to update the guide then have to update AGAIN shortly after. I'm not 100% sure how the changes will work in practice. Like RIP to [Mod] Eight Trigram Palm I guess, but the Ultimate Spearmanship change/buff seems overall better.

And what the fuck do you use over [Mod] Eight Trigram Palm now? Go back to Pulling Thrust to help keep stacks? Still Eight Trigram Palm for stacking purposes? Something else like Charging Fury? Gotta test.

I won't let any demon roam this land! Be gone!

First there was Elsword, then there was Raven, and then there was Chung.

Chung was introduced to the NA servers of Elsword online in 2012. He's a young but very strong boy that's known as a protector. He loses his father to demons and joins the el search party in an effort to become every stronger. He even drops his royalty until he feels that he has earned it.

His design is absolutely awesome. A lot of players found him to be adorable in the face. He even was nicknamed Pikachu by North American players due to the design of his hair.

Fully armored, the boy carries around a large cannon like it's nothing. He utilizes it in all of his combos, with some paths even adding onto his arsenal. He's also in posession of a guardian stone, which transforms him into a far more powerful version as he uses it. it gives him long flowing hair and a cool mask. This mask changes as he grows.

He also has 3 really cool class paths. The first is Iron Paladin, the path where chung decides to go all in on his cannon, the second is the deadly chaser, a menacing figure that protects Hamel beyond enemy lines. And the third is the tactical trooper. A Chung that combines nasod technology with his cannon to make a breakthrough project: the disfrozen portal. This class focuses on sheer artillery.

While a little different in each one, Chung is still Chung. All of these pathes are different ways of him achieving his one true goal of becoming a king fit to protect Hamel.

Elsword Update log #2

So, I’m going to try this style of doing update logs on games or things. Keep track of seven days and note down important thoughts or moments that happened, and after seven days, show off the progress. And boy, got some fun drama.

Day 1 – 01/31/22

Elsword

Dealt with elsword drama with a leader. What a pain.

So, what did I do to get the boot from a guild in elsword? my experience.

I have ignored them in-game, I did not see them or anyone speaking on my end, which gave me little reason to chat in guild chat. Why would I speak in a dead chat? So I didn’t and ignored the guild. This, you should never be upset about.

I ignored my guild duties I.e (Going to assume) not doing guild runs with the guild leader to add more members (A waste of time), doing guild farm, even though, it was ruined for me and a waste of time. And I showed no interest in the guild but at that point, she could make me a member.

If she didn’t like how I handled guild duties, she was more than welcome to make me a regular member, and find a better guild officer. Instead of jumping from 0 to 100.

Ignored her in discord by not talking to her often. When she called out people and to call me out in the discord server, she raised a red flag, and since then, I stopped talking to her. I hate when people call me out when I am minding my own business and talking to my friends. And I was not being a bully or harassing anyone either.

And had she been chill like Sura, Ultimate, elpha, and dragorath. I would be more open to her and not ignored her, but my experience with her only made me shut her out more.

Funny thing is, she was not like this in [blu] (and was not so overly attached and not so ugh. If I ignored her, she didn’t make a big deal) but in her server. It felt like a trap for me and I fell for it by leaving blu because she seem like a different person in blu. And her guild was chill, not her after I stopped doing things with her or talking to her.

There were a few times when I “tried” to do something with the guild leader but after a while, I stopped trying to do anything with her and did things with my friends. I’m sure she didn’t like that I started ignoring her.

And I am not sorry for acting / voicing what I think, I’m not going to change how I think because of one stranger I will never see again. She was disappointed? Oh well. we was not meant to be friends / associates.

And she is the only guild leader/associate I know who has acted like this. The upside is I don’t have to deal with her being in my dms if I don’t talk to her or deal with the nightmare that was the anxiety of her popping up there for something.

And also, she was upset I didn’t give her any feedback on her guild and rarely talked to her (i wonder why..) (I give feedback when it is needed or I have interest in something) and disappointed at one of my blog posts? Again, this is the only leader that gave me an awful experience. And I met a lot of guild leaders and they never acted like her.

And she sent a long paragraph or essay and to be honest, I didn’t read this message though i saw it as junk, sent by a random stranger. I found it kind of funny. That a stranger was so disappointed in me that they kicked me from the guild server and in-game guild. That essay is long gone. And speaking of gone, blog posts on midnight owls are going to be sent to the trash or edited out.

I don’t know what’s going on in her personal life, and It is not my business to know. I hope whatever is going on in her life, gets sorted out. Unfortunately, my experience with her is ruined / negative, and I’m not going to block her on discord but in-game. Maybe. Nah, I’m not that petty. I have no plans on being her associate ever again though. And she feels the same, i’m glad.

It is crazy how it started with a stranger sending me a dm me after I gave them a compliment in [blu] to them saying they are disappointed when I didn’t hang out with them or stopped doing anything with them. And I did not harass them or bully them. I made blog posts about the guild which were tame, at best. If I was bullying and putting them down, then yeah, kick me out. It is what it is.

I am free now and I don’t have to worry about walking on eggshells around her.

I have been feeling happy. I’m no longer a part of midnight owls. Guild was friendly, and most of the members never got on my case, but that was ruined by one, but I am free from the person. Lol. And been doing elsword content.
