The forecast had been bleak. Well into the deep of winter now, meteorologists had been warning of a vicious snow storm moving in for weeks, with temperatures falling well below freezing. Yesterday she came in fast and with a fury, burying the valley in feet of snow with no sign of stopping in the coming days.
But farm work stopped for nothing, the weight from the snowpack breaking and warping some of the older fencing you hadn't been able to replace yet, having to repair holes you weren't aware were causing drafts in your barns, troubleshooting a broken heater and of course, feeding and caring for the dozens of little lives you kept on your property.
It had been a long, arduous and frigid day, all you wanted was to run a hot bath, warm your skin and relax your muscles. So that's what you did, adding some lavender epsom salt as water fell from the faucet and lighting a few candles to set the mood. You finally sink into the steaming water, skin tingling with warmth as your mind lulls off.
Elliott on the other hand, wanted nothing more than to see you. He knew the weather was bad and you had been busy because of it, but it had been days since you’d been able to see each other. Deciding that enough was enough, he bundled himself in his thick, wool coat and scarf before heading out into the bitter climate. It had been too long since he’d seen his muse, so if a trek through heaps of snow was what separated the two of you, then he’d certainly do it.
Creaks cry out from the old hinges on the farmhouse door, causing your eyes to pop open. You aren’t expecting anyone, but your mind eases when you hear a familiar, deep voice call out.
“Hello?”
Elliott. It’s just Elliott.
“In here!” You melodically call.
“Oh, there you are my love. Staying warm?” His face flush from his trek in the outside elements.
“Trying.” You rest your head and arms on the side of the tub, looking up at the writer fondly. “My heater is struggling to keep up but the water is nice.”
“It looks like it,” He lets out a hearty chuckle at the steam still dissipating in the air as he places his scarf and coat on the counter next to your sink.
Elliott kneels down beside the tub, placing a kiss on your temple as he does so.
“So sorry for arriving unannounced, darling. I simply missed you too much to wait for this storm to pass before seeing you again.” He coos, reaching his hand to cup your cheek.
“Elliott!” You jump at his icy touch. “You’re freezing!”
Taking his hand in yours, you begin to examine his skin. Cherry red flush colors his knuckles and finger tips.
“I don't think it’s frostbite,” you remark, “ but just in case.” In one swift motion you shove his hands into the water next to you. The redhead sucks in a breath through his teeth, flesh burning at the sudden change in temperature. “You should've worn gloves, handsome.”
He chuckles. “Yes I suppose I should've. An unfortunate oversight on my part. I was just in such a rush to get here that I forgot.”
Your brows furrow. “Elliott, you have to take care of yourself for me. What if you lost all of your fingers to frostbite?”
Pulling a hand out of the water and placing it gently between the thighs near your knees, he squeezes the chub lovingly.
“Have I told you that I missed you already?”
“You may have mentioned it.” Your saccharine voice tails off.
“Let me say it again” his voice low, “because I really, really missed you sweetheart.”
Elliott catches your lips in a sensual kiss, his movements slow but firm. Eventually, his tongue pushes through your lips and begins dancing with your own. Your arms wrap around his neck, in an effort to pull him closer despite the tub wall separating the two of you. His hand kneading at the flesh of your leg harder now, sending heat rushing down to your core. A whine finds its way from your throat to his mouth, a growl leaving his in response.
The author pulls away from your lips, dragging your bottom lip for a moment with his. You stare into each other's eyes, mesmerized by your lust.
His large hand slowly slides down the inside of your thigh towards where you need him the most, his sight never leaving your face despite yours watching his wrist sink beneath the water. Your legs spread open as he’s nearing his destination, the need in your stomach growing tighter and tighter.
Gasping as his fingers find your clit, your eyes lock back onto his as he begins to rub small circles around the bundle of nerves. Speeding up to a moderate pace, his lips mold into a soft smile as moans start spilling out of yours. Your gaze never leaving the other’s until the coil in your stomach starts burning hotter. Obscene sounds getting louder and louder, falling out of your mouth more rapidly as you throw your head back. Elliott dips his head down taking a damp nipple into his mouth, sucking and nipping at the mound, making your pussy throb and your toes curl.
“Ri-Right there El.” Are the first words you’ve mustered in minutes. His fingers ruthless against the bud, melting your brain. “Stay there and I’ll cum.”
His digits remain where you tell him, but his pace speeds up. Your core begins tingling, burning as cries are torn from your throat. Water is swirling about the tub due to his movements, sloshing around and mixing with your voice in a symphony of his efforts to have you reach your climax.
“Show me how much you missed me beautiful,” He mutters against your skin, kissing his way up to your collarbone before marking the sweet spot. “Let go for me, love.”
In the following seconds, the heat in your stomach boils over. His name is torn from your throat, and he thinks it may be the sweetest sound he’s ever heard. Cunt pulsing under his touch and muscles twitching as his motions continue. What once was pure water is mixed with your juices gushing out of your sweet hole. Your hands find his shoulders, anchoring themselves on them as your vision goes fuzzy.
You ride through your orgasm, his fingers working you through it as he mutters “That’s it. There’s my beauty.”
You press your lips to his as his movements still, hungrily and desperately. Tangling your hands in each other's hair, gasping and puffing in between sloppy kisses.
“Need more of you,” you pant against his mouth.
He pulls away, your chests heaving in unison.
“You've always been able to have as much of me as you desire, gorgeous.”
Without hesitation, you're picked up bridal style and taken to your bed, being sat at the foot of it.
Your hands rush to his belt as he pulls his sweater over his head, broad chest flexing in the moonlight beaming through your window. Once the button on his pants has been undone, he feverishly pushes them down, his heavy cock springing up as it's freed.
Knees hitting the floor as you sit before him, hand taking his member as you run your tongue along the underside. His long fingers tangle in your hair as your tongue circles around his tip, already dripping with precum. You push his head into your mouth, hollowing out your cheeks and sucking. He draws in a breath, stopping himself from ramming his dick into the back of your throat, letting you take your time.
You finally give him what he’s craving, working your way down his shaft until you're choking, the vibration against his sensitive tip driving him crazy. Your head starts bobbing back and forth, grunts spewing from the man towering above you as you slurp and pump. Refusing to take any less of him than you can, tears start streaming from the corners of your eyes as you continue shoving him into your throat, the imprint showing through your neck. Auburn locks fall around his shoulders as he tosses his head back in ecstasy. Your tongue swirls around his tip as you speed up your ministrations, his fingers pulling even tighter on your hair.
“You're doing too well, love.” He stops your movements, pulling out of your pretty little mouth with a pop and standing you up to kiss you deeply. “I was far too close, and nowhere near finished.
The writer turns you around and pushes you onto the bed, positioning you onto all fours. He leans down and licks a stripe from your clit to your entrance before inserting two fingers, moving them in a scissoring motion to stretch you out.
“You're already so wet for me again.” Elliott muses.
You let out a moan, rocking back in his fingers before answering. “When am I not wet for you?”
He laughs heartily, “Is that so, darling? Then you must be ready for this.”
His fingers leave you empty, but it’s only for a brief moment. His thick cock lines up with your entrance, before gliding in to the hilt. Your core is stretching and burning wonderfully as he begins railing into you.
“Three days is most definitely too long to be away from my muse” he grunts out between thrusts. Your tits bounce stunningly as his hips rock aggressively into hours, marks forming from his fingers holding onto your flesh.
“G-god Elliott,” You sob out. “You feel so goo-od.”
Elliott knows your body well, but that doesn't mean his heart ever swells any less when you tell him that he’s working you right.
Freckled skin leans over your back as his lips brush the shell of your ear. “Yeah? You're taking me so well my love. So well.”
You feel that same lighting start charging inside of you, sweet little hole squelching around Elliott’s weighty girth as it drags across the velvety spot inside of you. His orgasm isn’t far behind, with you squeezing him just right and moaning out his name sinfully.
“El! El I’m gonna cum again,”
“Me too, dove. Let me feel you cum around me. Cum on my cock, darling.” He growls out.
Those words have your waves crashing into the cliff, cunt fluttering around his mass while your back arches into the mattress below you. He’s only seconds behind, white hot spurts gushing out of him as he ruts into you, thoroughly milking the both of you.
As your highs die down, you both crawl to the top of your bed, wrapping yourselves in your quilt and each other's arms fully spent. Before falling asleep you grab his hand, bringing it level with your eyesight.
“Stopped the frostbite just in time,” you giggle.
He laughs quietly and shakes his head. “Whatever would I do without you, love?”
“Clearly, we never should go days without seeing each other again so that we don't have to find out.” You smirk. “I happen to like all of your fingers.”
He snorts at your implication. “I know you do, darling. I suppose I’d have to agree. I don't want to go that long without you again.”

please i need stardew valley bachelors in a kinky gangbang with gender neutral or female farmer!
Tumblr media
I loved this suggestion but please have mercy, I didn't know which ones you wanted so I did all 6 which was VERY difficult for me to incorporate so I made it sort of cheap in the end to save having to write a whole night of sex with them all 😭 pls enjoy! I'm sorry if it's a little shitty, I've never written or read group sex stuff 😭
The Bachelor's and the Farmer's Night
Word Count: 1569
Pairing: F!Reader x Sebastian, Harvey, Sam, Alex, Shane & Elliott
Warning: 18+, group sex, rope kink, handcuffs, swearing, unprotected sex, vaginal fingering, anal mention, oral mention, cum swallowing, light bdsm (choking, spanking), all of it is pretty vague and quickly mentioned except the fingering & vaginal sex
It was Sam's idea. Not that he was gonna openly parade that around to anyone at first. It started as a pathetic fantasy that he would get off on at night, thin walls making him cover his own mouth as he imagined the farmer laying on a bed, tied down, taking it from him and Sebastian over and over. He was ashamed to even incorporate his friend in a fantasy, but the idea of a threesome with the farmer and Sebastian was just...so fucking hot. The idea of watching her get fucked, then fucking her - Sam was a simple man and he nearly came on the spot every single time he imagined it.
What's worse? He began incorporating the idea of Alex in the mix. He was friendly with Alex - and Sam had seen the farmer interacting with Alex a lot recently. Even throwing around a football with him the other day. Sam didn't immediately think anything of it, until he woke up sweating and hard, having dreamt the farmer and Alex going at it while Sam jacked off and waited for his turn patiently. Slowly, Sam began to think about...what if more people got involved? And oh, god. He finally let it slip to Sebastian.
"What do you think of that new farmer?" Sam asked as he took a shot for one of the striped balls on the pool table. His voice was even, but his heart was racing a pathetic amount.
Sebastian leaned on his stick, watching Sam's shot. "She's cute," Sebastian answered. The two made slow eye contact and Sam debated just leaving the whole conversation at that. But something about the way Sebastian stared him down made him crack.
"Yeah, yeah, she is...uh- you like her?"
Sebastian took a swig of his drink, nodded a little. "Sure," he said, "why?"
"How...how do you like her?" Sam gently rested his stick down on the wall, watching his friend. "Like," he began, "sexually...or...?"
Eyes widening a little, Sebastian tilted his head. "I- we don't usually talk about that kinda stuff," he dismissed, turning his attention to the pool table and ignoring Sam for a moment.
Sam nodded slightly, before he finally whispered, "I know but I want to...uh..." he glanced around the Saloon to see if anyone was looking towards them. No one was. "I kinda want to...have...some group sex with them."
Sebastian took a shot, perhaps out of shock, the cue ball launched across the table and sunk a striped ball. He stared down at the table. Quiet. "Just us three or?"
"Uhm...I was thinking maybe Alex..."
Sebastian raised his head up, hair falling over his left eye. "The farmer? Did you talk to her?"
Sam shook his head and Sebastian slowly turned to the table where he'd set his drink aside, grabbing it and gently taking a sip. "Ask her. Tell me when you do."
"You...you're in?"
Sebastian gave a short nod, and the two acted as though the conversation never even happened.
▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱
When presented with the idea, albeit from a terrified Sam, you agreed immediately. With a condition. You wanted Sam to invite Elliott, Shane, and Harvey. His eyes widened.
"Six....you want six guys-" you nodded. Sam had to awkwardly adjust his pants, at the mere suggestion of that many guys fucking you he got hard. Just the idea of watching it was too much for him. "I- I'll see what they say."
▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱
To Sam's shock, every single person agreed. He was expecting a sharp no from Shane, but he said yes without a second thought. Harvey stuttered out a "Oh...holy shit...uh- at the farm-?" and blushed madly. Elliott tried to maintain some sort of dignity but by the immediate bulge in his pants Sam guessed his answer before Elliott could recover words and agree. Alex tried to act disgusted at first. But then he mumbled a "can I bring handcuffs and rope?" (Sam asked "dude you live with your grandparents in a small town, why do you even have those?" and was met with a glare).
So it was arranged, a day and time was set. The six made their way down to the farm, chatting quietly amongst themselves. Sam was hard basically half the day before this, eagerly awaiting the nighttime - when his fantasy would become reality. The farmer answered the door, smiling softly at the six men. "Boys, come on in," she smiled. Sam nearly choked, they were wearing a flannel, opened up, only a bra underneath. Fuck. Fucking christ. She was good at this.
▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱
Upon being brought to the bedroom, Sam gently guided you to lay down, Harvey quickly mumbled "she needs a safe word-" and the rest agreed. Turning their attention to you. Six flushed, eager faces. You felt like prey laying in the bed, flannel opened to expose your bra. A safe word definitely was needed. As much as you wanted to take all six repeatedly you weren't entirely sure how much you could take before you were too used.
"Red light," you murmured out. "Yellow light means give me a break, but I want to keep going."
And so it began. Sam quickly ripped off the flannel and tossed it aside, then tore the bra off and threw it aside, his hands wandered to your jeans, slowly unzipping them. Your panties exposed, he gently moved his hand down, rubbing softly against the wet spot. You bit your lip, about to moan. Quickly, Sam backed up, Sebastian took one side of the bed and Alex the other. Hands launched to your chest, as Sam gently finished pulling off your pants. A hand on each breast, gently running your ripples through their fingers, you began moaning out loud. Sam got off the bed.
"Who wants to go first?" he asked, Elliott stepped forward. He gently undid his pants, erection springing out. He gently lined up.
You bit your lip, before he backed away, "did...anyone bring lube?" Elliott's voice gently asked. It was Harvey who had, gently digging it out of his jacket pocket and handing it over. Elliott gently poured some into his hand, gliding it across your pussy causing you to moan out. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Sam, eagerly jacking off as he watched. Sebastian was still by your side, but his hands had left your body. Elliott gently shoved a finger in. "I'll start slow, you're about to have a hell of a night," he said reassuringly.
You looked up into his eyes, nodding softly. He smiled, gently leaning down, placing a kiss on your forehead, before be pulled his finger out. "Did that hurt at all?" you shook your head, and he gently shoved two fingers in, letting your body adjust to the feeling, he slowly began pumping them in and out of you. All eyes were on you and you whimpered softly, meeting eyes with Shane who was still fully dressed.
"Sha- shane-" you mumbled, gasping as Elliott's fingers expertly worked you. "Can- you- strip?"
A hand gently laced around your neck, "use manners, baby, what do we say?" it was Sebastian's hand, tight grip but just light enough not to hurt. Elliott's fingers effortlessly kept time.
"Please?" you whimpered, the hand left your neck and Shane slowly began to undo his belt. As soon as he was stripped, Elliott's hands left you, for only a second you had a miserable feeling of emptiness before Shane swapped with Elliott.
He postioned himself, hands gently gripping your hips as he found where to line up. "Ready?" you nodded, and with one swift thrust he was in you. Lips found your neck, Shane was focused on fucking you. It was Harvey who had knelt beside you, hand gently gliding down your body to your tit's. Lips on your neck, sucking and leaving a hickey.
Shane grunted, speeding up more. "Fuck- tight...gonna-"
"Not in her," Sam whimpered, you had forgotten Sam was still here, in the corner of the events jacking off. "We can't all...not in her."
To describe the events would be tiring and long and endless. They took turns, spilling themselves over your naked body, in your ass, in your mouth. Alex was partial to rough sex, Sam into watching, Harvey wanted to pleasure you however you asked, Shane was focused solely on his own quick finish, Sebastian wanted to tie you down with Alex's ropes when he fucked you and choke you out, Elliott was gentle and soft and sweet and placed kisses on your forehead as you took their dicks over and over and over.
In the end, the sun rose when you guys finally ended the session. You had given several sessions of head. Taken fingers, fists, and dicks. Been tied down, choked, spanked, had your hair pulled. And each of them had asked for something the others hadn't. Sam begged to finish by jacking off onto your naked body. Sebastian wanted your lips wrapped around his cock when he finished. Alex, he was the one who dug out a condom so he could feel your pussy tighten around him as he came inside you.
When the session ended, you simply told all of them. "We're doing this again."

Stardew Valley Elliott x Female Farmer
Tumblr media
Art belongs to @eindersein, please give them some love for this beautiful piece!
Hi! I wrote this, inspired by Paris' song, thinking Elliott and the farmer would definitely bond by exchanging ideas and reminiscing about their time in the city. I didn't really proof-read this all too well, I just really wanted a cute fluffy fic. I hope you enjoy!
Please also give the song a listen, it's beautiful!
-----
Elliott woke up from the sunlight warming his eyes. He had managed to make it into bed this time, an irregular occurrence as his constant back and neck pain proved. His desk usually served as his resting spot.
His long red hair tug under his arm, while he lifted his head, making him shift to free his tresses. Peering out into the beautiful afternoon light from outside, an immediate need to walk out and explore the sleepy town came over him.
Nowadays, there was a little more commotion than usual: the arrival of the mysterious farmer caused the villagers to stir, gossip and diverge from their routines just for a chance to meet her. Leah had already encountered the newcomer and expressed, a bit obviously, that Elliott would be very fond of her. He didn’t take his friend’s word for it, as she also assumed he would get along swimmingly with Shane. Despite having tried to greet him kindly many times, the downtrodden Joja Worker barely acknowledged him.
He would never admit it to Leah, but the writer was indeed curious. Mostly, because a new addition to an established town was the first time something interesting had happened here! It could be great inspiration for his novel. Maybe he’d write about a mysterious, retired detective, moving to a small town and causing the same ruckus as the farmer had in Stardew Valley.
Elliott brushed his mane, put on the clothes he wore every day and checked his reflection. Pocketing his trusty notebook, in case inspiration hit on the go, he stepped out on to the sunny beach and breathed in the crisp, November air.
The beach was mostly quiet, as it usually was in Fall. He saw Willy fishing absentmindedly on the deck, too absorbed in his own thoughts to notice Elliott had emerged from his shack. The writer saw him every day, it wouldn’t hurt to not speak for one of them. He wanted to enjoy the inspiring weather and take a trip into the forest a few miles away.
The redhaired writer crossed the stone bridge, waving at Lewis while he raked the fallen leaves in front of his house. He saw the grumbling Shane return to his aunt’s house after an early Joja Mart shift, but decided to leave him alone, walking a few measured steps behind him to avoid upsetting him further.
He passed Leah’s home, thinking briefly if he should stop by to say hello. Deciding he could do so on the way back, Elliott continued his stride into the beckoning woods. The number of leaves on the earth amplified the closer he got, the soft crunching under his brogues made him smile. He loved Fall. Not only due to it being his birthday season, but also because it provided a picture-esque setting for a romantic writer like himself.
The trees started to clump closer together as he crossed the threshold into the forest. They swayed slightly in the cold breeze.
Elliott found a spot near a small babbling brooke, situated himself comfortably against a large tree and pulled out his notebook. He gazed up into the tree tops, watching the colorful leaves abandon their homes to fall down towards him. What a sight. He picked up a large, red maple leaf that drifted to his side, eyeing the vivacious color with adoration. Placing the pretty thing on his knee, the writer pulled out his trusty pen and started writing a few sentences.
The wind sang in his ear, as the hours passed. He collected interesting leaves that fell close to him, while he tapped the back of his pen onto the page. The words he was writing were alright, but not fascinating enough. There had to be something else here that would spark his roaring imaginatio-
“Oh- hey there!”
A soft voice pulled Elliott out of his writing trance. Looking up from his page, he met the eyes of a stranger. She wore a pair of hunter green dungarees, with a thick, white sweater underneath. Her sleeves were pulled up to her elbows, displaying strong forearms littered with fascinating tattoos. On top of her head rested a wide sun hat, that cast a long shadow down her front.
Elliott couldn’t help but blush at her shaded visage. It was the eyes that pulled him in, like mountain vistas painted by genius minds. She blinked.
“H-Hello!” he spat out hastily, as the pause between her kind greeting and him noticing her grew a bit too long. “You must be the farmer!”
She smiled and the writer’s inner voice squeaked at the sight of it. “Yup, that’s me! I’m YN.” She held out her hand.
Their palms met and he felt her callouses: “Elliott.” He realized he hadn’t returned her gentle smile and quickly remedied that by flashing his teeth. “I didn’t think anyone really came here. Apologies for my demeanor. I just wasn’t expecting to see anyone.”
“Oh no worries, I just discovered this place a few days ago. I wanted to take a break from work. Do you mind?” the farmer indicated that she wanted to join him, but stayed standing up.
“Yes!” the writer exclaimed excitedly. The excited answer obviously confused YN and he watched an eyebrow raise in response. Elliott noticed his mistake: “I mean- no I do not mind. Please.” He patted the spot next to him, clearing his throat in embarrassment. She smiled again, making his heart skip a few beats, and she joined him, placing a large guitar down into the grass. Elliott was surprised to see it appear out of nowhere, but he had to confess to himself that he hadn’t noticed anything other than her face and clothes when she arrived. She wrapped her arms around her knees, staring up into the dancing branches.
“So, Elliott…”, she began, “what’s your story?”
They sat for a while, exchanging their virgin journey to Stardew Valley. Elliott grew transfixed when he noticed she really listened to what he said. Did she... actually find what he said interesting?
She shared her decision to leave ZuZu city. “I hated my job. I felt like I was trapped and stowed away in that building. Like Quasimodo, haha!”
“That’s funny. That’s sort of how I felt back there. I couldn’t … let my head explore. It was so loud and disorienting being there. My mind seemed to emulate the chaos around me.”
“That’s such a poetic way of putting it.” She started plucking at the guitar strings while she stared up into the yellow crowns. Elliott didn’t answer. He saw little hearts float behind her head.
“I’m so curious what you’re writing! If you ever want someone to read over it, feel free to ask. I love stuff like that.”
Elliott nodded frantically; his heart felt a surge at the thought of her reading his drafts.
They sat beside each other in silence, but it wasn’t awkward. He felt extremely at ease near her, which ironically made him a bit uneasy. What was this sensation?
The longer they sat beside each other, the more consistent the melody became that she was plucking.
“How long have you been practicing music? I play the piano!” He wanted to learn as much as he could about her.
“Cool! I’ve been doing it since I can remember. But this guitar is new. I bought it right before Grandpa passed away. I love it, it’s so much easier to tune.” As she said that, she turned one of the dials to fix a string. “Maybe we can play together. Do you sing?”
Elliott giggled at the thought of him singing anything. He wasn’t awful, but you couldn't pay anyone to listen to him. He repeated the sentiment, feeling his face prickle when she chuckled.
“You're funny." His breath seized for a brief moment. "Well, then. I’ll sing and you can play? How does that sound?”
He couldn’t help but let the words tumble out: “We could write songs together.”
Her eyes started to glow. He felt a lump in his throat at the sight of her. He could’ve cried. He had a great relationship with Leah, the only other fellow artist in the village. She had a completely different artistic expression from him, though. It was fulfilling to know that more people would appreciate his way of thinking.
Elliott romanticized her already. He barely knew her, but felt sure they would grow closer, based on this exhilarating conversation.
She continued working out a melody, as Elliott eased into the tree trunk behind him again, listening intently as he jotted down a couple words her music inspired. She caught a glimpse of a few lines and giggled again:
“Did Quasimodo inspire you?”
“Haha, yes. You mentioning him made me think of being trapped up there. In the beautiful cathedral. Like you said you were at Joja. I'm a bit stuck though, don’t really know how to continue after tower.”
“Can I play around with what you wrote?” she asked with the cutest smile on her face.
Elliott felt his face blow up, he could tell he was a deep shade of red. “O-of course!!”
She nodded once, keeping the smile on her lips. She swayed, as she repeated the lines in a whispery tone while simultaneously strumming along. A few moments passed and Elliott couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. She closed her own, as she sang:
I'm in the rafters looking down
It's cold up here
Between walls of stone
I made my home
And the air hangs
Heavy with the incense
Feathers fall from pigeons
Cooing in the tower
I rarely go down there, the view's just so beautiful from here
And I can see everybody
At their worst points
At their worst points
I'm not a sadist, I enjoy just being able to be witness of the loneliness and be a higher power
In case there isn't one
In case there isn't one
I'm not a higher power, I just live in the ceiling 'cause I'm lonely on the fringes, and it gives my life some meaning
In the exile
In my exile
The grey light filters through roof slabs
And the flagstones glow
Bright from the stained glass
A hundred feet below
As I tiptoe
Creaking over prayers
Pleading with their maker
Crying with the choir
See upcoming pop shows
Get tickets for your favorite artists
I'm not immune to the sincerity below me
Makes me feel, it makes me holy, but through tears I understand
That I do not belong
No, I do not belong
Watching the figures, all the saints, but mostly sinners
Come and go and some are desperate, but the others have the sense that they do belong
And I do not belong
Some only turn towards the heavens when the end is feeling desperate,
have the overwhelming feeling
That there's nobody who's looking down
At least I'm looking down
Was this… what Shakespeare spoke about? The moment you meet your muse? The one?
Elliott had stars in his eyes as she finished her beautiful aria. When she looked at him, Elliott hurriedly clapped while she bashfully grinned.
“That was fun. You really inspired me,” she said sweetly. The writer could’ve wept at those words. Where had she been all his life?
She pushed herself up off of the ground and brushed the grass off of her legs. Had she noticed how transfixed he was? Was he making her nervous?
He tried to make his face look less in love. It wasn’t easy.
She turned to him and gazed down gently.
“I have to get back to my farm. The chickens need some love. But we should definitely play together. You down?”
Relief washed over his body. “Absolutely! I’d be honored!” Elliott felt some spit leave his mouth. He wanted to sink into the forest floor in embarrassment. She didn’t seem to notice, luckily, or perhaps she was just very polite.
“Cool! Where can I find you?”
“At the beach. The shack near the trees.”
“Awesome. I’ll stop by when I can! It was nice to meet you Elliott!”
The words left his lips in a sigh: "It was lovely meeting you, YN..."
YN winked, while she turned and walked back towards the forest entrance. Before she left through the branches, she raised her arm and waved at him.
He quickly waved back.
She disappeared behind the brush.
He felt like he had met God. Elliott fell back against the tree and started kicking his feet.
Finally, finally, finally.
Leah was right. He liked her.
A lot.

My Y/N (Female Farmer) x Harvey Fanfic Just Hit 20 Chapters, Here Are My Harvey/SDV Headcanons:
IB: @pierperian-leisure's post on dating harvey headcanons (some of them are so similar to what I pictured when I started this FF, I just love that we all have the same Harvey in our head and hearts 🥰)
For reference: The fanfic is called You Hate Harvey, a silly hate to love story full of banter and tension.
∙ Harvey's anxiety displays in different ways. Sometimes he is the stuttering/blushing version you see in SDV, sometimes he is grumpy and speaking condescendingly when you've put yourself in danger. When Harvey panics, it is freeze first, flight second, and lastly, occasionally, mostly with you, fight.
∙ Though he can maintain a solid bedside manner with all his other patients, Harvey doesn't hide his emotions very well from you. If he's irritated, he's pinching the bridge of his nose. If he's nervous, he's wiping his glasses on his shirt. If he's frustrated (sexually, more often than not) he his shoving a fist into the messy volume of his hair.
∙ Elliott is the best friend Harvey has ever had. They're very different on paper, but as a writer Elliott brings an empathetic energy that equips him to understand Harvey better than anyone ever has before. For that reason, Harvey can accept the bolder parts of Elliott's personality that draw more public attention than he's typically comfortable with.
∙ In the bedroom and the clinic alike, Harvey just wants to take care of you. He's very much a giver, and his favorite thing is to put his medical degree to good use and employ his anatomical knowledge for your pleasure. Before you even first got together, he secretly fantasized all the ways he could kiss and make it better.
∙ Harvey was terrified of you when he first met you, fearing how much he wanted to be with you. But his second, and most secret, fear was that he would never get what he wanted most and would someday have to watch you settle down with another eligible bachelor. Sometimes he convinces himself you would be better off in that instance. Even after you're together, seeing how much the other bachelors equally admire you will occasionally fuel the self-deprecating thoughts in his head.
∙ Harvey had his heart broken in college when, as she left him, his girlfriend insulted his mustache. Since then, he always wondered if he would ever find someone who accepts him for all he is.
∙ Harvey's parents died from a car accident when he was young. It's why he cares so deeply about your safety and has nightmares about losing you, another person he loves.
∙ Though it was initially traumatic, the hospital visit incited his interest in medicine.
∙After they passed, Harvey was raised by his grandparents. For that reason, Harvey has a soft spot for George (even when he's yelling at him in an appointment.)
∙ Harvey's grandfather was a pilot back in the day, and the reason why Harvey still loves planes so much and once contemplated following in his footsteps.
∙ When Harvey drinks too much at the saloon, he lets loose and all his inhibitions slide away and he's all about sneaky PDA. He'll undo his tie, unbutton his shirt a little, and try and get away with sliding a hand up your thigh. Or, he'll motion for you to follow him into the barrel room.
∙ Though Harvey tried to keep your budding romance a secret, Maru immediately suspected something had changed when he would throw his office door open the moment he heard a voice in the lobby to ask if it was you. He would also hum as he worked. A lot.
∙ Harvey and your grandfather were close, as he reminded him in a way of his own grandpa. He would often go over to the farm and play cards to keep him company. During these visits, your grandfather would talk about you often, showing him photos of you in university and at your big corporate job in Zuzu City. Even then, knowing so little about you and never imagining he'd ever meet you, Harvey started to develop a bit of a crush.
∙ Harvey secretly has a very impressive singing voice. It was strengthened over years of listening to jazz albums in medical school, subtly singing along and emulating the crooner's voices as he studied. The only person who has heard him sing is Elliott, and it was after so much wine the writer barely remembers it.
∙ When Harvey is feeling full-hearted, he gives off giddy golden retriever-energy. His smile becomes boyish, he freely jokes around and messes with you, and he is very physically affectionate.
∙ It may be Elliott's influence, but Harvey can be very articulate on his devotion to you... it's just a shame that for so long, those expressions of ardent admiration were simmering under the surface, cloaked completely by his nervously-blurted blunders.
Some of these have been covered in the story already, some of them are yet to be uncovered.
What do you think?

Okay a rare pair just quickly struck me in the face and now I have some brainrot.
What if Emily and Elliott? As a ship?
Like this crazy, bird aunt drags the reclusive writer out of his shell and in return, the bookworm gets her into literature and keeps her a little grounded.
Like can you imagine a scene of Elliott writing a fantasy novel but when he's writing the female lead, she seems so boring to him so he starts adding in little "quirks" like blue hair, a parrot familiar, maybe her magic has to do with gems or clothes. And then halfway through he realizes that he basically just wrote Emily and starts internally freaking out like "Am I truly, falling madly in love with the town's crazy bird lady?"
On the other end, Emily is sewing up some clothes based off a character from a book Elliott lended her. And it's the most princely thing she's ever sewn. She loves it, she's giggling to herself like a schoolgirl. And it just so happens to be Elliott's size. So, guess who's getting a prince costume for his birthday?
Also the Heart event where Emily is dancing to an upbeat song. She would totally drag Elliott into the dance and that sounds so cute!
And where is the farmer? Probably playing matchmaker.
Wine Aunt x Poetic Romantic Such an odd combo and I love it.
I still ship my farmer with Elliott but I am a multishipper.

★ baby blues - alex x farmer / elliott x farmer / sam x farmer ★
alex
The thin paper sheet that covered the exam table scratched at your bare skin. You tapped your fingers rhythmically against your thigh, the air conditioner in the exam room humming lowly. Alex sat in the chair beside you and rubbed his eyes, “It’s too bright in here,” he grumbled.
“Agreed,” you mused. This exam room had become a second home for the two of you for the past few months with a multitude of doctor visits and procedures conducted there. Yet, today could be the last time you two had to make the trek up to ZuZu City Municipal Hospital’s Fertility Assistance Wing. Today was the day, the day that would make or break you, the day you and Alex would learn if the embryo transfer was a success.
A nurse in a crisp uniform entered the room, “Mr. and Mrs. Mullner?” she asked. Alex rose from his seat and held your hand, “That’s us.”
“Dr. Hargrove will be with you shortly,” the nurse informed you before exiting the exam room. You locked eyes with Alex, “What if it doesn’t work?”
“What if it does work?” he retorted, earning a small laugh from you.
“I’m serious, though,” you elaborated, “We’ve been through the ringer for almost two years, baby. The drugs, the artificial insemination… I’m just scared that this will all be for nothing.”
Alex held up your hand and kissed it, “It’s okay to be scared, babe. I’m scared, too… I’m scared for you,” you raised your eyebrows at his response, “You’ve been such a trooper, (Y/N). Doing the injections, taking the medicine, having that weird medieval torture device shoved up your pussy for the embryo transfer!” Alex sniffled,”It don’t know what Yoba’s plan is for us, but I pray to him that he grants us this blessing because you have fought tooth and nail to make it happen.”
“Oh, Alex,” you pecked him on the lips, “I love you. Thank you for being my rock through this,” your husband smiled cheekily, “Anything for you.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Mullner?” the familiar voice of Dr. Hargrove called out to you, as she walked into the exam room, “How are you two doing today?”
“I know you have to ask us that but,” Alex squeezed your hand, “Can you rip the bandaid off, please? For my wife’s sake.”
Dr. Hargrove nodded, “Of course. I understand your anxieties about the embryo transfer,” the doctor approached the exam room’s tablet and opened up your medical record, “The blood test result should come in any moment now.”
Alex held his breath while you began to sweat, as you both and your doctor waited for the results. The tablet suddenly dinged and Dr. Hargrove smiled, “Okay, the results are in.”
You grabbed onto Alex, your legs shaking with nerves. Dr. Hargrove scanned over the results, “Well, this is what I expected,” she hummed, “You two are going to be wonderful parents.”
“I’m pregnant?” you gawked.
“She’s pregnant?!” shouted Alex.
Dr. Hargrove laughed, “You’re pregnant, (Y/N). Congratulations on your successful transfer,” she set the tablet down, “I’ll get your referral set up for your OBGYN, Dr. Hawkins. She’s a wonderful doctor with lots of experience with twins.”
“Thank you, doctor!” Alex cried out, tears running down his cheeks. He embraced you tightly, as you cried joyously in one another’s arms.
“We’re gonna be parents, Alex!”
“We are! We are… wait.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Did she say twins?”
“Oh my god… she did say twins.”
elliott
You had gotten used to seeing the single line on your monthly pregnancy test. Time after time, that single line taunted you, mocking you and your husband’s tireless efforts to start your family. Yet, today was going to be different, you knew that it would be different. The past three days, you experienced bouts of morning time nausea and vomiting, your period was late, and you were craving smoked herring, despite being a vegetarian. I’m having a baby! you declared to yourself, I’m having a baby! I’m definitely having a baby!
Despite no nausea or vomiting this morning, you flung yourself out of bed and into the bathroom, much to your poor husband’s concern. Opening the mirror cabinet above your sink, you plucked a pregnancy test out of the bulk box you purchased from Joja Mart. Of course, you preferred to shop at Pierre’s, but the idea of requesting pregnancy tests from the father of one of your closest friends made your morning sickness flare up.
“Darling?” your husband’s voice rang from outside the bathroom, “Is everything alright? Do you need me to get the ginger ale?”
“No, not yet!” you exclaimed, setting the used pregnancy test on the counter next to you, “Come inside, duckie! I think this might be the moment.”
Elliott poked his head inside the bathroom, “Oh my goodness!” his eyes twinkled with the same light as before, eager but nervous to hear the result. He grasped your hands and gave them a gentle squeeze, “How are you feeling, my dear? Are you excited?”
“Absolutely,” you answered, “We’re going to be parents, Elliott. I just know it, we’re gonna have our baby.”
Elliott tried his best to smile, but his quivering lip betrayed his outward hopefulness, “I want you to know that no matter what the result is, everything will be alright, okay?” he pressed a kiss against your temple, “It will be alright.”
“It will because it’s gonna be positive,” you chuckled dryly. It was almost a year since you and Elliott started your attempts to conceive. This was your last chance, it had to be positive.
The alarm on your phone went off, signalling that the results were ready. You reached for the pregnancy test and informed Elliott, “Close your eyes. I want to read it first.”
Your husband obliged and covered his eyes with his large hands, the ink stains from his late night writing session still evident. Taking a deep breath, you flipped over the pregnancy test and read the result.
One single line.
Your heart sank.
Not pregnant.
Your chest tightened, as tears swelled up in your eyes, “It- It’s negative,” you announced to Elliott, “I failed.”
Elliott removed his hands from his face and embraced you, rubbing your back while you sobbed your heart out, “You’re not a failure, my love, we’ll try again. Please don’t get discouraged, it will be okay.”
You held onto him for dear life, chest heaving and cheeks stained, “I can’t, I can’t. I don’t wanna try again.”
Elliott pulled away and cupped your cheeks in his hands, “That’s okay, (Y/N). I’ll follow your lead, okay?” he kissed your lips tenderly, stroking your cheeks with his thumbs.
“It will be okay, no matter what.”
sam
You wiped sweat from your forehead and stretched your back out, as you stood before the field of ripe melons and blueberries ready for the picking. Summer crops were the most abundant and popular among the residents of Pelican Town with numerous orders, so you had your work cut out for you this season. With wicker basket in face, you got on your knees and plucked a few blueberries off their stems.
“(Y/N)!” your husband Sam called out to you from the porch. You peered from above the blueberry bushes, “Yes, love?” you shouted back.
“There’s a letter for us!” he exclaimed, “It’s from the ZuZu City Orphanage!”
You nearly dropped your basket, “What?!” you jogged up to the porch, seeing Sam wave a sealed envelope in his hand. The two of you wanted to be parents ever since your engagement, but a year or so of failed conception attempts left you discouraged. Dr. Harvey had recommended a fertility specialist to you to assist with the procedure, but the idea of subjecting yourself to injections and procedures left a queasy feeling in your stomach. Nonetheless, it didn’t matter a lot to Sam and you on how you became parents, thus the pursuit of adoption.
“I didn’t think they would get to us so quickly,” you commented to Sam, as the two of you entered the kitchen. The blonde hummed in agreement, “I’m surprised, too. Hopefully, it’s good news.”
“Me too,” you answered and hugged your husband’s arm, “I’d be heartbroken otherwise. I fell in love with Cordelia and Conrad the moment we saw them.”
You remembered the day you and Sam visited the orphanage, nervous but excited. You had some qualms about adoption, you believed it best to keep the child with their family unless it wasn’t an option. Yet, at the orphanage, these children had no family and if you could, you would’ve adopted them all.
After meeting with the caretaker and filling out the necessary paperwork, you and Sam were allowed to visit the children on the orphanage’s playground. A warm, fuzzy feeling grew in your chest at the sight of happy children running about, “I wish we could take them all home with us,” you muttered to Sam, “I want them all to have loving, safe home.”
“Me too, sweetheart, me too,” replied Sam, rubbing your back, “It feels cruel to choose, you know?”
“Yeah,” you pouted, “Maybe this was a bad idea.”
Suddenly, a little girl who eerily resembled you and Sam ran past you, “Jamie, give it back!” she screamed at the boy she was chasing after. You watched the little girl tackle the boy to the ground and tussle about in the dirt, soon emerging victorious with a notebook in hand, “Meanie!” she chastised Jamie.
“Cordelia!” the orphanage caretaker yelled, “What did I say about tackling people?”
The girl Cordelia looked back at the caretaker, “He stole my songbook!”
Your chest tightened, “Sam,” you whispered to your husband, “That’s our kid.”
Sam grinned ear to ear, “That’s our kid.”
The caretaker shooed Cordelia back to the playground and guided Jamie to the other side before returning to the two of you, “I’m sorry about that,” she apologized, “Cordelia’s very… headstrong and protective of her belongings.”
“That’s okay!” you answered, “Can you tell us more about her?”
The caretaker obliged and rehashed Cordelia’s background. She was a recent addition to the orphanage, having lost her parents in the ongoing war with the Gotoro Empire. You could feel Sam’s expression darken at the mention of the Gotoro Empire, it was a sensitive subject for him because of his father’s past involvement and POW status.
“I would advise against only adopting her,” explained the caretaker, “She has a baby brother, Conrad. We try not to separate siblings.”
“Then we’ll adopt them both,” responded Sam. The caretaker grinned widely, “That’s wonderful! I’m sure the two of you will be great parents for them,” she gestured to the door, “Let’s go inside and we can get the paperwork done for the next step.”
Back in the present, you held on the enevelope addressed to you and Sam from the orphanage, “What if we were denied?” you asked with a frown.
“Then that caretaker and those reviewers are idiots,” your husband laughed, “Can you do the honors, baby?”
“As long as you hold me,” you replied.
With Sam’s arms wrapped around your body, you carefully opened up the envelope and removed the neatly folded letter out of it. You read through the contents of the letter, your eyes widening.
“Sam?”
“Yes, sweets?”
“We got approved.”
“WE GOT APPROVED!” your husband screamed, pulling you into a passionate kiss. You kissed him back joylously and set the letter down on the dining room table, overcome with the purest form of happiness. Attached to the letter, there was a photo of Cordelia and Conrad smiling with Cordelia holding up a small sign with the words We’re Cordelia and Conrad Duffy! on it, becoming the first memento of your newfound family.

Reinventing the Wheel - Ch 27: Eyes of the Runekeeper
Author: timespaceandfilm
Fic Rating: E - this fic has some NSFW content in other chapters, 18+ only
Chapter Rating: M
Pairings: Sebastian x Female Farmer, Elliott x Penny
Chapter Word Count: 9 k
Chapter Warnings: Seb learns some very concerning things about his father and why he left
Chapter Summary: Charlie and Seb finally learn a little bit about Seb's father.
Blurb:
Once Gunther has identified the minerals I brought, he pulls a thick leather-bound book from beneath the counter.
“Don't think I forgot about this,” he says. “Your contribution has made a monumental step forward in the study of Ancient Dwarvish.”
“Well I appreciate you making me a copy. I'm not sure where I'll be able to use it but I'm certainly interested in reading it.” I carefully pick up the translation guide and tuck it under my arm.
“If you'd like to practice using it, there's a headstone in the cemetery with Ancient Dwarvish writing on it,” Gunther offers.
As I’m leaving, my phone goes off.
Seb: just wrapped up work. how's it going? Charlie: I had to speak to Lewis and Clint. Seb: 🤢 Seb: at the same time? Charlie: No, thank the gods. Just leaving the museum now. Seb: nice. new donos? Charlie: Yeah. Plus Gunther gave me a copy of his Dwarvish translation guide. Seb: …
Once I see that last text I start counting down in my head. Three… two… one…   Seb's caller ID appears on my screen. Yep there it is.
“Dwarvish!?”
There's a sense of deja vu from the noises of fabric rustling, keys jingling, and boots thumping that come through the speaker.
“Yeah,” I can't help but giggle at Sebastian's apparent excitement. “you remember those scrolls with the colored ribbon?”
“Like the one I scored in the Secret Woods?” The bell on Robin's front door rings in the background.
“Uh huh. Gunther is convinced they're written in an ancient language of a people that came from the sky and settled under the ground eons ago. Apparently there's a headstone in town with the same writing.” I bite back a smirk.
For a moment the only sounds coming through are wordless stutters of disbelief. “Holy fuck. Ok. Um, I'm taking the minecart down there. What in the actual…” his voice trails off and then the line goes dead.
I'm still snickering when the cart comes flying into view with a rattled Sebastian seated inside. The way he narrows his eyes at me as he climbs out only makes me laugh harder.
“Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up babe.” He stalks over to me as I pull it together. “When the hell did you find out about fuckin Alien Dwarves?”
“About a week and a half ago.” My laughter fades as I remember how shitty my mental state was at the time.
“Ah.” Seb frowns a little.
“Um, anyway. Shall we?” I offer my pinky and Seb hooks his own around it.
We walk over to the cemetery in a comfortable silence but Sebastian's enthusiasm is still pretty obvious. I repeatedly have to tug on his finger to slow down as the spring in his step causes him to outpace me.
The cemetery is small and quaint. All of the headstones are fairly simple; nothing too ornate. Some are so old and faded the engravings are barely readable. One headstone for someone named Mona has a few flowers balanced on it. Eventually I notice the stone a few paces to the right has strange markings on it. They're oddly clean and fresh looking, but the symbols definitely look similar to the ones on the book.
“This must be the one.”
I let go of Seb and sit cross legged in the grass. He kneels down next to me as I begin leafing through the translation guide. My hope is to find a symbol that matches one of the ones on the stone and go from there. I'm barely five pages in when Seb reaches out to trace a finger over the stone.
“‘Stand between the pillars three
With gift as precious as the sky:
A rainbow forged from land, not sea
Then galaxies will heed your cry.’”
My jaw drops. The book falls into my lap. I look at Sebastian. He looks back at me like a kid who's been caught doing something that may or may not get them in trouble.
“You can read Dwarvish!?”

To Spend My Days
Tumblr media
After an argument sends Elliott back to his shack the next day, Genevieve comes up with an idea in the hopes that she can patch things up. As it turns out, she wasn’t the only one regretful of how things wounded up.
Aka: Month one of the Year of the OTP event hosted by @yearoftheotpevent Prompt: "If I kiss you, will you, will yoy shut up?"
Fandom: Stardew Valley
Ship: Elliott x Female Farmer

The thunder in the distance and the light pitter patter of rain never stopped Genevieve from her daily activities on the farm. Only until she checked the time and realised she might have gotten a bit carried away, would she call it a day and go back to her cabin. Granted, the crops would be watered, but who was going to feed the chickens if each time the weather got bad, she decided to huddle up in the cabin. Plus, there was so much else she could do- fishing was ideal in this weather when it comes to certain species of fish. Not to mention there was plenty of minerals and gems to mine for.
Ah yes, the mines. This topic would have inevitably caused some worry for Elliott, but yesterday’s argument got a little more heated than the usual instance of him voicing his concern. She hadn’t seen him since. By her guess, he had probably gone back to his old, rickety shack by the beach and write out his melancholy heart.
What was going to convince him to move in with her? There was enough room in the home for too, thanks to Robin’s handywork. There has to be some way.
And then, as lightning flashed in the distance almost simultaneously, it came to her.
The strange man on the beach. The mermaid pendant.
But wouldn’t it be a bad time? He might still need some space, and proposing would be rather inappropriate.
Only one way to find out.
Pulling the pendant out of her pocket, she petted her trusty Bucky on the head, who panted with glee, and headed straight for the door, opening it…
“Whoa.”
The last thing she expected was Elliott standing right there in front of her, soaked head to toe. His usually luscious, golden red hair was sticking against his strong features, and water was dripping from his red blazer down to his faintly tartan pants.
“Hey,” was all Genevieve could say as she watched her boyfriend with a contemplative look on his face. Almost as if he was deciding his next course of action.
From inside his pocket, he pulled out a folded sheet of paper. Except it had not been spared by the rain, and was barely holding itself together against Elliott’s fingers.
“I wrote you a poem,” Elliott announced with a defeated sigh. “I could not think of the words to say to express my regret for what had happened yesterday. So I did what any other writer would have done."
Since knowing Elliott, Genevieve knew he would not willingly have run into the rain for any reason. He took great pride in appearing as presentable as possible, especially when it comes to his hair.
Without thinking, Genevieve opened her hand, revealing the mermaid pendant in her hand. “I’m sorry, too.”
It was rare to find a moment where Elliott was as stunned and speechless as he was then, looking at the pendant. He took it from her hand, inspecting it closely, before his lips curled into a bright smile.
“I accept!” He immediately puts the pendant around his neck. “I’ll set everything up, we’ll have the ceremony in only a few days, okay.”
Genevieve chuckled slightly as Elliott took her hands into his, feeling how soft they were against her rough callouses.
“I’m really looking forward to this. The farm will be such a lovely place to write.” Elliott started, and before Genevieve could pipe in, he continued, “We will make such a good pair, you and I. To spend the rest of my days with you be my side-.”
“If I kiss you, will you shut up?” At last, Genevieve spoke.
Elliott blushed, sheepishly grinning. “Forgive me, my love.”
And with that, he kissed her, neither caring for the coolness of each other’s clothing pressing up against each other, as their bodies were doing a fine job of warming each other up regardless.
Maybe it wasn’t such bad timing after all.

Landings Through the Grapevine
Chapter 2: Unfulfilled Expectations
Masterpost: here Go to:  Ch.1   |   Ch.2  |
_________________________
"I have news for you. One good, one bad" Shane said hours after the dance, when everyone was busy cleaning the place up. "Wait! Help me with that table first...Allright. Shoot". Shane grabbed the other side of the table and together they heaved it off the ground to carry it back to Marnie's farm. The path that led to the narrow bridge which divided the forest clearing from the rest of the village, was not large enough for them to carry the table side by side. So Shane volunteered to walk backwards while Riley gave directions. For a few moments Shane didn't say anything but occasionally looked at something over her shoulder. Then he lowered his voice:
"Ok, so...Mr. Darcy" – that was code for Elliott – "has been mingling with my aunt for almost the entire festival and now they both keep looking over at you".
"What?"
"Don't look! I didn't want to say it earlier, because I wasn't sure. But given how Marnie has been really chatty today, I bet she's playing matchmaker again"
"Oh for fuck's sake! What about Elliott?"
"Don't know, maybe he finally figured out that you don't understand his poems, or something"
"Shane!"
„I'm kidding. Don't act so horrified. Also, it's true!"
„No! It's not."
„Okay. Remember the poem he 'gifted' you at the Feast of the Winter Star? What was that about?"
Riley was preparing to answer him in a know-it-all manner but soon realised that she had actually no idea what to say. She hoped her death glare would shut him up for good. Alas, it didn't.
„You can give me the evil eye all you want. I already cringed to death when he started performing it in front of the goddam tree."
„Maybe a few metaphors and references go over my head sometimes, but that's because I never read much poetry before.
„Or maybe his writing is as inflated as his ego"
„Stop! For Yoba's sake, just tell me what's up with him!
„How should I know?"
„Then why tell me?"
"I thought you would want to know these things"
"Well, what does he look like? Does he look upset or anything?"
"Ehm",– at that Shane peeked back over her shoulder, looking rather pained as he tried to awaken his interpersonal skills: "Well he looks like a schmock, so nothing new there. Maybe that's just his –oh shit!"
"What?!"
"He's coming"
"Are you kidding me?"
"Stop! Jesus, Riley have you never been to highschool? You don't look at people you're talking shit about."
"Ok! ok, act natural !"
"You're the only one acting like a headless chicken", he hissed under his breath.
"Well, maybe I would be calmer if you –"
Shane dropped his side of the table. It came to the ground with a soft thud and Riley almost lost her footing from the sudden yank it caused on her side, forcing them to an immediate stop shortly before the bridge. This interrupted Riley's tirade and in hindsight saved her some embarrassment, as Elliott appeared by her side soon after, brushing a strain of hair behind his ear : "Good day, you two. I am so very sorry I didn't get to chat with you sooner. Can I help you with that?", he asked, having seen them struggle but obviously mistaking the situation at hand. Before Riley could even say anything, Shane intervened again : "Glad that you ask!" he said in an overly friendly manner while stretching theatrically and making a face: "My back is killing me! If you don't mind, I'd rather go see if I can help with something else" and with the blink of an eye, Shane and Elliott had switched places.
"You're welcome!", Shane murmured while brushing past her and he was gone. Meanwhile Elliott was getting into position and testing the table's weight while Riley could do nothing but watch him dumbfounded. When he noticed her staring, Elliot winked: "Shall we then?"
"YES! I mean, sure. Thanks for the help", If Riley's face looked as flushed as it felt right then and there, Elliott was gentleman enough to pretend not to notice. "Please, don't thank me! I should have been more involved with the preparations to begin with. I was just so caught up with my newest draft, that I had forgotten all about the dance until a few days ago. Oh, also, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything between you and Shane?", he added, leaning slightly towards her in mock-conspiracy.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, it did look like you've been arguing, before I came over. I hope it was nothing serious"
"Ehm... I was just worried. His, eh... his 'back pain' is quite bad, but he didn't want to bother Harvey during a holiday", Riley lied between her teeth, as they made their way over the narrow bridge.
"Poor fellow, no wonder he seemed rather miffed today. But he danced like a champ!", Elliott stated sympathetically.
"Yes, he knows how much it means to Emily and didn't want to let her down"
"See, I was wondering about that a little. I did expect the two of you to be dancing today"
At that, Riley tripped over nothing, looking at Elliott with such astonishment that she almost forgot to warn him about the slight slope the path would be taking, shortly after the bridge.
"Sorry, who?"
"Well, you and Shane….?"
"Huh?"
Elliott then must have come to some sort of realisation, for it was now his turn to look flushed and embarrassed.
"Oh, Let the greater part of the news thou hearest be the least part of what thou believest." he exclaimed ruefully and smiled at her apologetically: " I should have known better than to make assumptions. I am sorry, Riley. It was something I overheard, please pay no mind to it!"
Riley suppressed the urge to ask him if he had been quoting Shakespeare again, as in 5 times out of 7 she had already been wrong. And by now, she had the nagging suspicion that Elliott chose anything but Shakespeare, just to mess with her. Instead, she stammered: "N-No, it's fine! Shane and I are close, but we are just friends...'', and almost Riley would have given into the temptation of adding something like: '...just as you and Leah, if I am not mistaken?'. But she discarded that idea as soon as it came to her. Too obvious. Though Riley was dying to get her hands on any piece of information about what kind of relationship he and the artist were cultivating, she had to be careful. The last thing she needed was the awkwardness of unrequited feelings or the loss of a friendship because of it. However, remembering Shane's assumption regarding Marnie, she continued : "...Though I do believe Marnie wouldn't mind me as her niece-in-law. But neither Shane or I see that ever happening,". She then laughed. But, following her gut instinct, she kept an eye out for Elliott's reaction, who, still dealing with his own embarrassment, couldn't help but wince slightly.
Bingo.
Shane's words were practically echoing in the back of her mind: I bet she's playing matchmaker again.
– ‘Yes she is and you won't like to find out with whom exactly', Riley thought grimly.
To say this was news to her would be a lie, sadly. Last year it had been just a few questions, if Riley was seeing someone, or if she fancied someone from the village already. Before long, Marnie had gotten more obvious about her actual motivation: "Have you met my nephew, yet? Shane. He is from Zuzu-City too. Oh, I need to introduce you to each other, next time you visit."
But said introduction flopped big-time. It had been difficult. Well, Shane had been. But Riley now knew that this wasn't anything personal. She had involuntarily witnessed his downward spiral until the fateful day at the cliffs, where Shane had finally hit rock bottom. Since then he was getting the help he needed and they could manage having a conversation that wasn't ending in a disaster. Nevertheless, as she and Shane clearly never hit it off, Riley thought that Marnie had moved on and was satisfied with talking her up to some other bachelor instead. Apparently, she had been wrong. "Please, do not believe that I usually engage in petty gossip." Elliott exclaimed and Riley knew, if his hands were free, he would probably underline his words with some dramatic gesture: " This is not why I wanted to talk to you. I would never bother you with such shallow conversation!". They finally reached Marnie's farmhouse and were greeted by Gunther and Clint, who were busy sorting Marnie's belongings back to where they belonged. Soon Elliott and Riley were relieved of their task and hurriedly shooed away. "Riley, you did enough! You've been here all day and surely your farm does not run itself", Gunther called over his shoulder as he and Clint disappeared into the house, leaving Elliott and Riley to themselves. „Well, I don't want to keep you from your duties..." Elliott eventually said rather deflated, after some seconds of them just standing there.
„It's fine! Really. I have time to chat."
„Are you sure? I would hate to inconvenience you", though Riley could easily tell that Elliott was just saying that to stay polite.
„You aren't, believe me. What did you want to talk about originally?"
Elliott immediately straightened his posture, his demeanour getting more relaxed as Riley's question offered him the chance to return their conversation back towards familiar territory.
He suspensefully cleared his throat.
"I wanted to thank you, for you have played a significant role regarding my latest draft. Well, draft is a bit much. It's more of an outline, actually."
"Really?!", Riley could not believe her ears. This was like the beginning of some obscure fever dream, where Elliott would finally announce her as his muse and declare his undying love for her…. Totally hypothetically of course, because Riley would never fantasize about such a corny situation! Ever.
"Yes! For as much as I frequent the library, I just recently noticed the marvellous collection of exhibits you have been providing to the museum. I would've never thought for our tiny valley to be such a place of wonder and history! I must be honest, my latest works were getting nowhere and I dreaded starting a new manuscript. I had gotten quite far with my latest piece. But all these treasures have ignited a new spark within me. Now I can hardly put my pen to rest. But I need more inspiration!". Elliott got more excited the more he talked. It was no longer just polite enthusiasm but an almost childlike delight that made his eyes sparkle in a way she rarely got to see on him.
"Oh that's wonderful! But how can I help you with that?" Riley was getting somewhat confused. If Elliott needed more information on the artifacts, he would be better off talking to Guntehr instead. And following that line of thought, Riley couldn't really fathom what Elliott needed of her, to fuel his newfound inspiration.
"It's about this Adventurer's Guild..."
The answer was: absolutely nothing.
"Oh", Riley tried not to sound or even look unhappy about this revelation and Elliott seemed too fixated on his own issues to notice anything, for he continued talking: "I have seen you standing next to that older gentleman, today. What was his name again?"
"Marlon?"
"Yes! He is the guild's leader, I suppose ?"
"Eh, yes, you could call him that."
"I would like to ask him a few questions. I would love to hear some of his adventures. He looks like a man who has many stories to tell. However, I struggle to get a hold of him!
Surely, I tried asking around. But before today, I didn't even know whose company he keeps. I have never seen him in town either, other than during holidays, which is why I had hoped to talk to him today. But shortly after the dance I lost sight of him and he was gone! I could tear my hair out, Riley! That man is like a ghost. How am I supposed to write about fantastic tales of danger, when I have no authentic experience to write from?!" Elliott had talked himself into such a frenzy, that he ended up being short of breath. While he needed a moment to collect himself, Riley used this pause to talk some sense into him.
"Well, you will be happy to hear that the guild building is actually very easy to find. It's right next to the entrance to the mines.", she informed him, trying to push away the feeling of disappointment. "Office hours are between 2 pm to 10 pm. Normally, entrance is only allowed for adventurers only, but technically you would be considered a potential client. And If you really cannot get in, then Clint, Willy and I see Marlon often enough that we can relay a message to him." "Is that so? Thank you so much, I knew I could count on you! I will seek him out first thing tomorrow!". With that he made his goodbyes and hurried back towards the meadow, presumably to find Leah and share his progress with her. She looked after him until his silhouette disappeared from her sight and with a groan Riley decided that it was indeed time to head back to her farm. The gleeful excitement she had felt at the prospect of being alone with Elliott, had vanished to sober disillusion. She wasn't even in the mood to get worked up over the whole Marnie-situation. Therefore, she decided to no longer think about whatever had transpired today. That would be future-her's issue to deal with. When Riley entered the premises to her own farm, the sight of the seemingly endless plot of land filled her with awe, like it did everytime. Proudly, she watched her cows, chicken and ducks peacefully napping in the sun and listened to the faint rustling of leaves above her head, as she finally made her way towards home.

Chapter Word Count: 9.5 k
Chapter Warnings: Chronic Pain flare ups
Chapter Summary: Something Charlie thought she left behind in Zuzu comes back to bite her.
Blurb:
It’s one of those perfect autumn days where the air is cool and crisp, but the sun is still warm. A few puffy white clouds hang in the deep cerulean of the sky. I find myself humming along to some made up tune that floats through my head.
Despite all of our efforts yesterday, debris has popped up in a few places overnight, including some rocks and bits of wood in the field. While I'm clearing them, I glance up to see Seb kneeling down to pet Daphne. He gently guides her away from the bootlace she’s trying to pull at with her bill and directs her towards the water.
I smile to myself and turn back to my work. It should be odd, watching this lanky emo guy doing chores on my farm. But somehow he looks perfectly natural carrying a basket of eggs around in his ring-clad hands. By the time I’ve re-tilled the spots that need it, Seb is done feeding everyone and has even filled Jiji’s outdoor water bowl.
“Thanks for taking care of that, babe. You want to start putting the fertilizer down while I take care of the milk and eggs?” I put my hoe back in the tool chest and reach out for the basket.
Seb nods as he hands it to me. “Yeah. These front rows are for the pumpkins, right?” He’s looking a little pink as he tugs on the screw-shaped stud in his right ear.
“Yup. The binder should be in the farm stuff chest if you need a reference.”
I keep an eye on Seb while I put the eggs into the mayo machines. I’m a little worried about him overdoing it like last time. He’s down to a t-shirt even with how cool it is today. But he doesn’t seem to be overheated yet. The fact that he insisted on giving farm work another go has me laughing to myself as I collect the milk from my cows.
At least now I can kind of guess why he’s choosing to help me with all this manual labor. He loves me. That thought has me shaking my head. I’m trying to believe that it’s true, despite the whispers coming from the shadows of my mind. The way he looks at me when he says it. It has to be true.
It just means he believes it’s true. But eventually he’s going to figure out that it’s not you he loves, it’s the magic. Once he sees how bland and pathetic you are without the magic, he’ll know.
Fuck off.
I shove the top of the second cheese press down firmly. It’s no question that I love him. Why can’t my brain just fully accept that he loves me? With my animals all taken care of, I head back to the field where Seb is raking the last of the quality fertilizer into the pumpkin plots. Why the hell else would he be doing this?
The toxic bots mumble something about the community center, but they are swiftly shut down by the pragmatic bots. He didn’t know about the community center last time. And it’s not like fertilizing my pumpkins is directly related to any bundles anyway.
“How are you feeling?” I ask as I take the rake from him.
Seb shrugs, wiping a bit of sweat off his forehead. “Definitely not like I’m gonna pass out like last time.”
“Did you enjoy it though?” I put the tools away and check the time. Pierre’s just now opening. Perfect.
“Ehhh.” Seb scratches the back of his neck.
I giggle. “Ok, so that’s a no.”
“I mean if I had to do it again it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Feeding the animals was fine.” He follows behind me as I go to water the spots that had to be re-tilled.
“Well then it’s a good thing you don’t have to do any of this.” I finish watering and turn to face him. “I appreciate your help, Seb, I really do. But I’d rather do it all myself than have you be miserable helping me.”
Seb sighs and steps forward. “I’m not sure that miserable is the right word.” He gets a hand on my cheek; still cold, somehow, despite the exertion. “But I think I might be able to help you more effectively in other areas. Like the coding thing I mentioned.”
I smile and lean into his touch. “You know you could just hang around all day and do nothing but watch me work and I wouldn’t care.”
“I know.” He smiles back. “And maybe that’s what I’ll end up doing if that’s the best way I can support you. But I…” His face gets serious for a moment, cheeks flushing a little. “I want to figure out where I fit in here.” He begins to fidget with the ring on his free hand.
It takes a moment for what he’s saying to sink in. He’s already thinking about moving in. It seems fast. But when there’s only one hundred and twelve days in a year, maybe fast isn’t such a bad thing. Besides, I’ve thought about it too. I reach out to grab Seb’s free hand and guide it to lie flat over my left collarbone.
“I think you fit perfectly, right here.” My hand stays on top of his, thumb sweeping over his knuckles.
For a moment I look up into his eyes, trying to convey sincerity while Seb flushes harder in response. But after a few seconds I can’t hold back the wave of cringe that has me grinning and scrunching my nose. Seb laughs and lets his hand travel up to the other side of my face. He angles his head to get around the brim of my hat and plants a kiss on my lips.
“We’re so gross,” I giggle.
“Downright revolting,” Seb mumbles, fighting back a grin as he leans in for another kiss. And another. The outside world begins to fade away and I’ve almost forgotten about Pierre’s entirely when the sound of someone whistling a tune has us pulling apart. I turn around just in time to see Elliott emerging from the path that leads into town.

In retrospect, perhaps an old cottage by the sea wasn't the best idea. Romantic, yes — who could deny the appeal of finding yourself while living in a rustic cabin by the seashore, falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up with the cry of seagulls?
Of course, the appeal isn't as strong when there's a freak blizzard around him, barely held back by the old wooden walls, and no stable heating system. The seagulls had grown tiresome rather quickly, too.
Just as he idly wondered how long it would take for someone to find his frozen corpse, there was a knock on the door.
AKA elliott is a romantic dumbass who didn’t think things through before spending winter in an ancient cottage, and the farmer is a determined dumbass who’s not about to let her favourite writer freeze to death

"Oh, be still my beating heart," muses Elliott, sliding into the kitchen. "For an angel stands by my stove, slaving away thine miraculous talents for a mere mortal’s act.” He is still in his pajamas, slipping around the kitchen floor in his socks as he advances towards the farmer. The farmer is busy making an omelet in a pan on the stove, chuckling softly to themselves as Elliott provides entertainment.
“What does a humble poet have to give to such a muse? Being blessed with such a presence must come with a costly price,” Elliott continues, moving behind the farmer and sliding his arms under theirs and holding their midsection.
The farmer turns their eyes away from the stove and back at Elliott, being greeted by his loving gaze. “Thine muse would like for you to sit and wait for breakfast,” they tease, and Elliott complies after grinning and placing a kiss on the farmer’s cheek.
He sits at the dining table and watches the farmer remove an omelet from the pan and place it onto a plate. In moments, Elliott is served the plate with a fork to accompany it.
“Nectar of the gods! How blessed I be to partake of something so miraculous!” Elliott marvels, earning a laugh from the farmer’s lips. These are his favorite mornings; making the farmer laugh with him before they leave for the fields. “To repay you, angel, I shall go ‘round and feed the animals! Humble be the man with purity in his presence!”
The farmer giggles again and leans over to give Elliott a gentle kiss. “Thine muse is pleased by your offering,” they agree, running their fingers slowly once through Elliott’s hair. “Thank you, Elliott.”
Elliott grins. “Anything for you, my dear,” he says earnestly, dropping his theatrical voice before he puts a large piece of the omelet into his mouth. He loves these mornings so, so much.

“Control of Me” by RIELL is The Inspiration Song for my current WIP & before that I had listened to “I Found” by Amber Run, which is a song that I’ve applied to many of my OTPs/fics.
CURRENTLY WATCHING:
At this very moment I’m watching “Puss in Boots” but hey, it’s amusing AND satisfactory background noise while I mess around on here xD
That being said though, I’ve been rewatching Stranger Things & Haunting of Hill House. When I have the capacity to handle an ass ton of secondhand embarrassment, I work at watching season 2 of The Boys.
CURRENTLY READING:
I’m not currently reading anything novel wise atm. When I have reading spoons, I work at catching up on fanfic authors I’m subscribed too.
HOW’S IT GOING?
I am Tired™️. I’ve been working at finding a medication that controls my anxiety & had to switch recently. It’s just mentally exhausting to mess up your brain chemistry & then have to wait for it to settle again. But I channeled a lot of stress into deep cleaning my house today, so... maybe I’ll feel a little better once I eat.
I’ll tag: @laraslandlockedblues @dismalzelenka @lostelfwriting @shannaraisles & uh... @ellstersmash. I’m not on here often anymore so forgive me for any double tags 😅 As always, feel free to ignore me!

Tag Tuesday - First Fic
I thought it was only fitting that the first Tag Tuesday should feature the "My First Fic" and its related tags.
I think, in retrospect, writers tend to look back on our first works and cringe, but I also think there is a lot of love, joy, enthusiasm, and beauty to be found in first fanfics. The whole process back then was new and exciting, and I remember having a kind of almost manic energy and excitement while writing my first fic that I've never been able to recapture since then. So lets take a moment to shed some love on some of the fandoms' first forays into writing fanfiction!
Was your first fic in the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons universe? Send it our way! We'd love to see them!
