Elliot Maginot "Marie-Noël" (2023)
AudiogramBuy: Bandcamp | Apple Music | Amazon MP3 | Amazon.uk MP3 | Amazon.de MP3 | Amazon.fr MP3 Montréal’s Elliot Maginot was one of my favorite finds of 2022, despite the fact he had been recording wonderful Christmas songs since those halcyon, pre-COVID days of 2019. Sometimes it takes a little bit for me to find these folks… but I’ve found Elliot, and now he is stuck with me. 2023 brings…

Prière de vivre, le seul credo d’Elliot Maginot | Le Devoir
Elliot Maginot : I Need to Stay Here Un album créé dans un local d’Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, en plein été, comme si c’était la Maison symphonique. Entrevue. « C’était l’été, les enfants jouaient dehors, les gens se promenaient, la vie avait lieu. Pour moi, l’album témoigne de ça. » Le pâté de maisons, les ruelles, la rue Adam, la rue Leclaire, la vie qui bat. « Ma foi, pour en revenir à ce grand mot…

1969 Live | A moment of anthology
Half Moon Run, Matt Holubowski, the Boulay sisters, Elliot Maginot, Elisapie, Claudia Bouvette and Jason Bajada gathered on Saturday at the MTelus to translate the music from the collective album 1969 into a show. Posted at 11:27 It is rather rare that so much talent is gathered in the same place, that all this know-how is found in divine communion and that more than 2000 people are invited to…

Inauguration d’Espace Diffusion
Tumblr media
Information générale des spectacles d’Espace Diffusion - Humouriste – Stand-up - Jérémy Demay – 16 septembre - Guy Nantel - 24 septembre - Martin Petit – 22 octobre - Jo Cormier - 12 novembre - Maude Landry - 19 novembre - Arnaud Soly - 25 novembre - Nicolas Noël (Famille) - 10 décembre - 15h - 2023 - Maxym Martin - 28 janvier 2023 - Simon Gouache - 18 février - Jean-Sébastien Girard - 23 février 2023 - Micheline Desrochers – 11 mars 2023 - Simon Delisle - 13 mai 2023 - Musique - Groupes - Damien Robitaille – 17 septembre - Franklin Electric - 23 septembre - Tire le coyote - 14 octobre - High Voltage (Hommage à AC/DC) - 29 octobre - Alexandre Poulin - 5 Novembre - Martha Wainwright - 11 novembre - Alcoholica (hommage à Metallica) - Michel Pagliaro - 26 novembre - Marc Hervieux - 11 décembre - 2023 - Steve Hill – 27 janvier 2023  - Ludovik Bourgeois - 3 février 2023 - Les Louanges - 4 février 2023 - Vérinique Labbé - 10 février 2023 - Anik Jean - 17 février 2023 - Elliot Maginot - 24 février 2023 - La Petite Sorcière Gentille (Marie-Anik Lépine Groupe Cowboys Fringants - Pour enfants 4 à 8ans) 4 mars 2023 - 15h - Out of control (Hommage à U2) 4 mars 2023 - 20h - Caroline Savoir - 10 mars 2023 - Natasha Kanapé-Fontaine - 17 mars 2023 - 2 Frères - 24 mars 2023 - Angel Forrest - 1 avril 2023 - Guylaine Tanguay – 14 avril 2023 - Guy Bélanger - 21 avril 2023 Toute l’équipe chez SpotEv Souhaite longue vie et beaucoup de succès à Espace Diffusion et son équipe dynamique. July 1st, 2019
How the fuck is it July already? How the fuck am I halfway through my internship already? How the fuck am I gonna be in Banff in 2 months? Time makes no sense.
Let's take it back a few days and allow me to realize that these days did happen even if it feels like I last wrote yesterday.
June 26, 2019
Wednesday wasn't too bad. I got to work on time and the day passed by quite fast. Having had a day off on Monday, I felt like the week was passing by so fast. At the end of the day, I left at 4:30pm right on time and tried to get home fast. I caught some traffic of course but I still got there on time to change before my friend would be there. My friend from university that I had not seen since uni ended came over for dinner. We got to catch up and eat good food and just chill. It was super simple but it reminded me of why I loved our friendship so much. She didn't leave too late but I sure loved my evening.
June 27, 2019
On that day I woke up feeling like. The worst part is that I knew I wouldn't be going to bed early that night. The best part is that it was going to be for a great reason. That day at work actually passed by fast as I got into a new project and getting home wasn't too bad allowing me to have time to eat dinner, prepare my things for the next day and get ready before I had to leave to go meet up with a friend for a concert. I was even a little early so instead of taking the bus, I decided to walk the 45 minutes. I got blisters because I didn't have walking shoes but it went alright. We got there right on time to score seats at the third row of the balcony and we caught up before the Strumbellas came on stage. Actually to be honest Elliot Maginot came on first and I didn't even know he was going to be the opening act. It was a pleasant surprise. Then came the Strumbellas and I think maybe I had forgotten how fucking amazing they are live and then it all came back to me and I had the night of my life. They are funny and oh so talented and I felt like the crowd was more into it then the last time I saw them. I literally could not have asked for a better evening. Except that I went to bed late. Like real late after waiting for the bus for a while.
June 28, 2019
Then came Friday. I felt like the week had passed by in a blur. The day though took longer. I didn't have much to do anymore and it was getting slow. My boss told me I could leave once I didn't have anything to do. I waited until at least 3:30pm and then I was out the door and driving to my friend's place. We hadn't seen each other in 2 weeks and I had missed her. We caught up, made dinner, ate together and just had fun. It's always simple whenever I see her but it's always so fun. I didn't leave too late because I was tired from my evening the day before and needed to wake up early on Saturday.
June 29, 2019
I was so tired that morning that I didn't hear my alarm. My mom woke me up 15 minutes before we had to be out the door. I made it with a 2 minutes delay. We stopped in our way to my grandparents for breakfast and then we made it. I was alone with my parents allowing me to catch up with them properly. All day after that, us, my cousins and aunt and uncle and my grandparents moved my Grandparents. They were not moving all the way but starting to get things there. We had lunch all together and did two trips in total. It was exhausting but cool to spent the day with my family. In the evening, we took it very easy.
June 30, 2019
On Saturday I ate my breakfast with my parents in the solarium and then chatted with my Europe friends. My parents left and I took it easy until the afternoon. I went on an errand with my mom getting stuff for dinner and walking there since it was nice outside. We ate the whole family together and then I had to do some psychology with my parents. Things have been rough and I've been trying to help. We ended the evening with deep talks and I think it helped. I love them so much.
July 1, 2019
Today was a me day. I woke up late, ate breakfast as I watched TV, spent all morning reading outside and ate lunch with my parents. For my afternoon, I went back outside, went grocery shopping with my mom and went in the pool. Once she had to leave, I went running out back which was hard since it was hot and my first time really running in a while. It went well though all things considered and I jumped back into the pool once done. Then I got out, showered and my friend arrived. We just wanted to catch up. She stayed about 1 hour as I ate dinner. After she left, I went out for ice cream with my parents and now all my things are in order for tomorrow. I'll be going to bed soon but before that I'll try to get some reading in because I'm reading a good book live.
Until next time,
L
