To be fair the dialogue immediately after is less romantic:

Specifically the way she speculates about Jean's response. And Mondstadt is so friendly and tight-knit (and Jean so hard-working and beloved) that I can't say whether she's being excessive if it's platonic.

But still! Surely the writers knew how the first half would be read. It's plausible for this to have been added for the sake of evading censorship.

I was reading the logs for Invitation of Windblume and...

While the festival covers more than romantic love- dialogue implies it's broader than that, including familial love and religious love for Barbatos- the context of this is romantic advice.

Does Ellin have a crush on Jean? It would make sense. Is this sneaky gay rep using the ambiguity of 'love' during Windblume as a cover?
