The more I'm watching these gifs, the more I realize how vulnerable both Joel and Ellie are. 

Joel, a hardened survivor who used to be a loving father, watches a little girl smashing a man's face with a machete, knowing what could have happened if she didn't have such strength in her tiny body as he's unable to do anything except pull her close and hold her. But why does it feel like it's not enough?

Ellie, a lonely little girl with abandonment issues who can take just as much is forced to kill a man who tried to sexually asault her in a brutal way because she's so scared and not thinking clearly before crumbling in the arms of a man she didn't know a few months back because she has no one else and he's the closest thing to love in the sad life she's lived to this day.

what is your favorite ellie pun, elliespuns? c:

My all time favorite is definitely the one where Ellie reads it all wrong the first time and corrects herself: "A book just fell on my head. I only have myself to blame - ehm, my shelf to blame."

I adore the fact that Ashley Johnson messed it up and they kept it because this was probably the most Ellie she could ever get.

And the second favorite is: "What is a leading cause of divorce in long-term marriages? A stalemate."

It's not the funniest one, I know. But I just adore how Ellie would read it out loud with so much enthusiasm in her voice even though she had no fucking idea what that meant.

you summed up my thoughts perfectly! there is a lot of very juvenile virtue signalling going on right now but then again i’ve always found things like ‘black outs’ and ‘strikes’ a little silly and just.. unrealistic honestly. it’s just a way for people to flex ‘i’m better than you because i’m dedicating all my free time to the cause and you’re not’. it reminds me of the very toxic twitter era where this sort of grapple for moral superiority was rampant amongst young people trying to assert that they were in fact good and pure (a LOT of these individuals are 17,18,19 it seems). not everyone wants to be a social media activist and that’s perfectly valid. calling you a zionist on anon is way too far though, at least have the guts to put forth such a serious accusation with your name attached.

I just think that people attacking bloggers for not 'spreading' informations about the conflict are unreasonable and rude. 

Every fandom blogger has their own personal social media where they might be talking about it, which these anon attackers won't ever know, yet they keep harassing. They are basically trying to spread good by being mean to others? How ironic.

I don't feel the need to apologize for not sharing it here. If I feel I want to share something here, I will (as I did a few hours ago). People should realize I am running a fandom blog here. Those who are already following me must already be aware of how things are.

Needless to say, many of us fell in love with the game back in 2013 (part 1) and 2020 (part 2) where there was no conflict and no 'choosing sides'. So now that the creator of the same game shows his true colors, we're supposed to start hating on something we already love and find hard to unlove? A bit harsh, huh? Because unless we go and buy the products from the big corporate companies, we are harming no one. Loving something from afar has never hurt anyone. For Christ's sake, we're loving a game with fictional characters, not the people who have the guns and bombs. The game will always be there; ignoring its existence will do nothing. 

For those who would be wondering (as I understand everyone expects a big fan like me to own things related to TLOU)… yes, I own things. But I bought them a long time ago, when there was NO conflict to get upset about yet. All of these things were bought secondhand on top of everything (well, except for Part 1, which I bought completely new back at the time—again, no conflict back then). So does that mean I should just take all these things and throw them away too? The damage has already been done; someone already bought these things from the corporate companies before selling them to me secondhand. Should I just take all these things, destroy them, and throw them out the window to prove what exactly? That doing so is completely useless too because it helps literally nobody? These things might as well just keep lying on my shelf. I didn't hurt anybody by getting them back in the day.

I am tired of repeating myself over and over. Those who understand this will get me. Those who don't, won't. And that's okay. I won't apologize for talking about Palestine in my personal life and not in the feed of the silly little blog I manage.

i totally agree w/ ur post about there not being any young ellie blogs. other thing is in the ellie williams tag majority of it is just smut, which is fine but frustrating when im trying to scroll through the tag to look about posts or blogs related to ellies actual character, the storyline, etc. imo any romancey type fics should go under a tag that's just #ellie williams fic (same goes for any character) because i just want to look at posts related to ellies character without seeing smut every second post.

This is why I decided to make this blog. I was in desperate need of young Ellie, and when I found out there was no one dedicating their blog to her younger character, I knew I wanted to do this.

Don't get me wrong. I love Ellie, no matter her age. But there's just something about young Ellie that fuels my soul. She's such a joyful firecracker. That girl went through some shit and she can still light up your day just by giggling at one of her stupid jokes. She's a ray of sunshine in everyone's life. She's funny, adventurous, dedicated, kind, and has the courage of a lion. She has a beautiful way of being, and I believe that this kid's beamy personality and lovable demeanor could cure more than one heartbreak.

Young Ellie lays forever buried in my heart.

Fun fact: Before I created this blog, I was thinking of nicknames thelastofellie and elliesjokebook, but these were already taken. I ended up with elliespuns.

There should definitely be a tag that's just for the smut stories.

I mean... @elliespuns is polling the reasons why us, who interact with her content, do it, basically. We all are so mad at her cause she made us choose one and all of them are so accurate you can't just pick one... And then I found this post, one of many INCREDIBLE posts of her mods... And girl, what do you want? Sharing such an amazing content in so many different ways, showing so much care, respect and true love for TLOU in the most artistic and beautiful ways... Nah, you're something else.

I dont do it for you aknowledging me, or thinking I'm too sweet... Blablabla. Cause it has nothing to do with that. I dooo think you brought to the fandom such a beautiful way to spread the love (and horniness) we all feel for these two, and TLOU in general, and you're so good and genuine at it, it's impossible not to feel related to any of your posts, wether it is mods content, super deep and super thought of essays about the most interesting topics you could ever imagine, any ask answer, always fun and slutty if we are good... bitches 🤣 (we all know we'll meet in hell already)... Quotes... Sharing possible scenarios you imagine (I love those SO MUCH)... Anything you do, I love.

I will never get over how devastated Joel was when he found Ellie smashing the face of a man he knew too well was capable of horrendous things. Realizing she had to face him on her own. Realizing she fought like hell to save his life.
