Um, how many WIPs am I working on? Too many.

But the main three I have Right now, are the one I'm editing to turn into an actual published book: TCOT, which I mainly post about on my main blog @the-ellia-west

The wip this blog is literally made for. J&R, also Known as Jakkon and Rose because I can't come up with a title and I'm not planning on publishing this either way

Then, the third and final one, StF, Stereotypical Fantasy. It'd exactly what it sounds like, stereotypical child fantasy but aged up and allowed to swear

WRITING/DRAWING MARATHON DAY 1

I did a lot of creative stuff today and... I think I'm gonna go to bed early tonight

Drawing update:

I used a lot of sites, tips, and tricks from artist friends and moots and then I decided to try some real art stuffs for the last one

(I know I put an extra e there,)

And then I wanted to refine that last one a bit. I'm not an expert, but I swear I tried

Say Hi to the I-can't-draw version of Marril everybody!!!! (it's bad, I admit, but I will get better!)

Writing Update!

I finished Editing Chapters 10 & 11

And I planned out the full plot for J&R and the new timeline.

My creativity has returned for the most part and I'm finding myself with high hopes for the future and the present

My stories are living and my brain is running with the ideas.

Progress is up.

TCOT Release Date GOAL

This is not a confirmed Release Date, but a Goal.

I hope to Finish TCOT by March of Next Year.

This is my Goal, and I really hope with all the free time I'll have this summer, that I can do it.

I want all of you to know I love you, and I'm writing this story for you <3

WRITING/DRAWING MARATHON DAY 3

I tried out some more cartoons styles and eye stuff, and I think it turned out really well!

And Writing!

I started progress on chapter 12

And I got some progress on two different J&R Scenes and Some Fallen Worldbuilding!

My playlists be popping, my writing efforts are the opposite of flopping, there's gonna be no stopping, but my sanity sure is dropping!

Lol jk I'm having a lot of fun! TCOT is Turing out crazy fun and my art is looking good! A huge boost in self-confidence despite the fact that it's the cursed time of the month 😔

This one is for Which WIP I should spend my time on (posting about) for the rest of this week

For TCOT you'd get a few scenes, a lot of progress updates, and I'd actually start getting back into EoW, you'd also get a ton of extra stuff. And if this gets enough votes, I may do a Character Q'nA because I'm bored

StF will get a bunch of Actual Scenes and for once, some actual character profiles, worldbuilding, ect.

J&R will all be hosted on @jakkon-and-rose-topic and have a few more scenes, some possible spoiler alerts, my plans for it as a series, and a ton of character dynamics and specific development to character Relationships we haven't explored yet

Then C4 will have me develop the stuff I do have written and show it to you. Actually make character profiles, maybe a map, and definitely some face claims I have for the characters because those are the most accurate face claims I have.

I love how Marril's Intro perfectly conveys his personality

Marril brushed the tips of his gloved fingers over the paper, grabbed the upper corner, and folded the crease open. The Assassin scanned it once more and scoffed as he crumpled it. A foolish attempt at tricking him. 

Keresan’s name had never been whispered in the alleys of the black market, nor printed on a card. With that level of obscurity,  he couldn’t be the noble he claimed to be. Marril had been suspicious from the moment he’d laid eyes upon the chaotic handwriting. But the address made it obvious as a butterfly trying to hide among rocks that this was a trick. Abandoned for years, every criminal and noble in the city gossiped superstitions about the old place over tea and whispers. 

A scowl darkened his face at the mere thought of a client as he blew a strand of long raven hair from his face. Hundreds of lectures about morals, monsters, and murder from people who thought money was an adequate exchange for a man’s life. But everyone who’d summoned him always needed him for something. His blade-bearing hands had seen their fair share of blood, but no matter how well those nobles scrubbed their skin clean, he could always see the streaks of scarlet between their elegant fingers.

Marril fixed his lips into a false smile as he stepped up to the door, muttering to himself under his breath. “Vatsú maravi fala kún ge pé'delzhua kún'a. Time to eat fish from a bloody fisherman I suppose.” He knocked.

The old, cracked door creaked open, revealing a man with pale lips and a waxy smile a few feet beyond the threshold. He examined the Assassin with sharp scrutiny before he spoke. “Honrul said he’d get me the best. That’s you I assume?” 

Marril squinted at the man, eyeing his hands where a strange translucent skin stretched up to the bottom of the nails. The man hid his strange hand behind his back. Slitted pupils in his clear ocean eyes watched the Caliskian closely as his lips twisted into a snarl, showing the teeth of a carnivore. “Don’t you know it’s rude to stare?”

The Assassin narrowed his eyes. 

“Insolent. Answer me.” 

Marril raised his head and looked down on the man. He swore at him in his native language. “Your comfort is not what I was hired for.”

Viasaki and Kila - Villain Rambling

Both Viasaki and Kila are high-ranking shade soldiers who have specific set roles and know what they want. But I can't talk about these two without first talking about the two more major villains they serve.

Viasaki is the First Lieutenant under the King's Vessel, having a battalion of soldiers (mostly of his own selection) under his control, and it's his job to be responsible for them and to carry out any mission with them that the Vessel gives him.

Meanwhile, Kila is the Warrior under Tias, who is the Vessel's Army General. As a Warrior, Kila's job is to basically be a berserker and personal bodyguard, being on the front lines and tanking all the hits for her boss.

Because Tias outranks Viasaki, His battalion, and by extent, Kila, outranks him as well. But to add a little twist, Kila is not only Tias' Warrior, she is also (basically) his girlfriend. And to add to this even more, Viasaki is Tias' Arch nemesis, because they have opposing views and morals of how prisoners and enemies should be treated.

Kila and Viasaki stand on opposing sides of the same coin, and because Kila is the one in charge of the more mundane things in Tias' life outside of combat, she is the one who confronts Viasaki more often than not.

They argue nearly every time they meet, which ha overwhelmed their basic first and root impressions of the other and corrupted it into pure rivaling hatred of one another.

Not only do they hate each other because of their morals, this deeper extends into their trauma. Kila's belief in the world is that it boils down to two factions of people. The strong, who must fight and make sacrifices to survive, and the weak, the ones sacrificed. The weak never survive, so she can't afford to have any sympathy for them. (She Views Viasaki as Weak and Tias as Strong because Empathy makes you weak and more susceptible to distraction and betrayal)

Whereas Viasaki's beliefs boil down to the fact that everyone can be negotiated with, and deserves a chance to turn. But most of all, out of everything, he believes that abusing power is by far the worst crime someone can commit because it inflicts some of the most pain he's ever seen.

And obviously by the way this ramble is framed: Both contradict the other's basic beliefs. - But that will soon change.

Because not only is Kila Tias' sword, she is his shield. Used to take and exchange hits. She loves him more than anything in the world, but he views her as nothing more than a tool. And when the deep-seeded empathy she has worked so hard to suppress, comes to the surface at one of her former colleagues being tortured, Tias decides she's more trouble than she's worth and throws her away.

In a moment, at the alert she will be killed, Viasaki decides to take her in as one of his own to spare her life and give even her the second chance he knows she deserves.

And over the course of the story, he comes to see that she was not the one abusing power, but she was the one used to abuse it, And Kila sees that Viasaki is not weak, and it is not Empathy that makes a person suffer, but the ones who take it for granted.
