Tell me about yer OC.

Woxjwjxna this is one of those times where theres so many to choose from but I'll just go with the one I'm currently obsessing over.

My favorite oc is actually the protagonist of the novel I'm writing! His name is Alexander Quinn and hes around sixteen-seventeen years of age when the story starts.

When he was nine years old his father, Thomas Quinn, who was deep into writing a book at the time, vanished and his mother refused to say anything about him. Every time he brings up his father his mother replies with comments of disgust, leading him to assume the worst.

A small part of him hold hope about his father, since a lot of Alex's love for fantasy novels comes from growing up around a fiction author.

Now this story has kinda a wonderland spin because while trying to outrun some kids for school he winds down a few alleys and ends up somewhere completely different. Long story short hes in a place called Ellevand where seemingly the powers of magic and technology coexist, but he has a larger role in the world in bringing its inner workings and corruption to light.

I think one of the main reasons that hes one of my favorites is that when he first arrives in Ellevand he thinks hes finally found a fantasy utopia. Things are always tense at home, and hes sorta subject to a bit of mental abuse through his mother, so Ellevand appears to him as an escape.

But in reality it's not. Ellevand has problems too. Big problems. Its not perfect, its not a "wonderland" and it's not a fantasy for him to enjoy.

Hes given the choice of helping make it into a place of dreams, or living in a corroded fantasy that hes built, and he gives in a lot. Hes human and he makes mistakes and honestly hes the most relatable of my ocs for that reason.

I’ve decided to post character sheets and this is my first one, its for my character Alexander Quinn from the novel that I’m writing. He happens to be my favorite character so far!! I plan to maybe add more as i continue to write for him.

General health: a bit exhausted at times due to being underweight

Likable Traits: quiet, only inputs when necessary with strangers, will engage in normal conversation with friends, kind and caring as a person, his natural eye and affinity for wonderment

Biggest Flaw: general lack of confidence

Who He Likes Most: Elliott and his father

Who He Dislikes Most: Clockwork, Spade, and Victor

Most Important Person in His Life: father, due to preestablished bond and general connection to Ellevand. He isn’t aware of his father’s involvement in the other realm until later

Whom Does He Admire: Casey, for her courage and willingness to fight for a just cause

Enemy: Clockwork

Someone He Tends to Misjudge: Griffith, Alex sees him as grumpy and pushy, not seeing the actual care that he feels for the rebellion

Person Who Tends to Misjudge Him: Griffith, the older man sees Alex as a liability and a child

Who Does He Rely On For Advice and Emotional Support: Hamill, who acts as the word of reason for many of the characters

Who Does He Support: Elliott Erstin, who in his rushed sense of time needs a minute to slow down and talk with someone willing to listen, like Alex

Psychological Issues: mild depression, anxiety, low self esteem (despite all this he is an optimist)

Most Comfortable When: hanging out with friends or writing alone

Most Uncomfortable When: facing rough challenges publicly, when responsible for others, when put in charge of certain tasks

Prejudices: he grows to hate people from The Other Side due to their affiliation with Clockwork

How Does He React to Change or Conflict: He has a hard time processing at first, but finds it hard to stand against the change if he needs to. He lives in his own world a lot of the time and never really acts on his desires for change.

Delusions: When he first arrived in Ellevand he expected it to be a place of magic and wonder where he could finally be away from the problems at home. A place that he could live life as he wanted to without having to work or worry, but he was wrong. Ellevand was having his own crisis, and to everyone’s surprise he was at the center of it. So rather than escaping to a land of fantasy, Alex ends up on the run from leader of the Other Side, Clockwork, who clearly wants him dead.

11. If they could make a mark on history what would they like to be?

Alex wants to be a writer! He enjoys books and loves the escapism and wants to maybe someday do that for someone too. In Ellevand all he really wants to do is help. The thing is though that he doesn't think that he will ever add up to be anything, so its not a topic that he spends a whole lot of thought on.

13. What do they do for fun?

Alex daydreams a lot. He finds it really easy to zone out and often loses track of time this way. He doesn't do much usual besides read and think. He loves fantasy though, be it daydreaming or reading, he loves to get away from reality. The absurdity of dragons and fairies will always be alluring to him.

21. Whats their favorite thing about their personality?

His favorite thing about himself is also his least favorite thing. His complacentness keeps him out of trouble which he's very grateful for (he doesn't like confrontation) but he also hates that he lets people walk all over him. He hopes one day he'll snap and get all his feelings out, but he doesn't think it'll ever happen.

9. Which oc has the angstiest backstory?

Oof that's probably a tie between Belial and Clockwork.

Belial was a half demon born to the demon general Ilvollen. His father was fond of suffering and as an experiment he left his son as the doorstep of a Cathedral to see if theyd take him in.

Shockingly enough they did, but for the next 11 years of his life the Cathedral took excruciating steps to purify the demon child of his "sin" despite his only sin being his existence as a demon.

At 11 Belial grew fed up and finally realized that he wasnt at fault for any of this. If they wanted to hate him, he would give them a reason to. He exploded in anger before escaping. From then on though his life starts to look up.

Clockwork is from the novel that I'm writing! He originally went by the name Theodore Thatcher and grew up in a place called Ellevand with his sister.

As a child she would always tell him about her ominous feelings about the future, and he always took the time to sit and listen to her because no one else would.

When he was around 12 one of his two best friends disappeared without a trace, and he took that to mean that the misfortunes that his sister spoke of were true.

As a result he became paranoid and pushy, his sister never stalled in feeding him stories and lies, all of which he believed and worried about. His other friend tried to console him, but he felt she was just against him in this. Like another obstacle.

He grew cold and alone and his cheery personality had done a complete 180 by the time we was in his twenties. Hes the villain of the story, making Ellevand cater to his every whim to save it from a danger that no one is even sure exists.

Gender: genderfluid

Subspecies of human from the far future

Hair: curly brown, glows prismatic in the dark

Eyes: yellow, also glow

Personality: very curious about pre-war humans and other human variants, they love to explore! They're great with children as well.

Info: They live in a world where humans have evolved after a war millions of years before. They love their clan, but the sense of exploration and human knowledge pulls them to explore instead.

Frontiershipping:

- Emerald acts all grumbly about pokemon as usual, but the truth is that hes come to love Crystal’s pokemon more than he expected to. He forms a good relationship with all of them, and they come to love him back as well.

- Crystal is the only person that Emerald lets help out with anything concerning his height. If he happens to not have his gadgets then shes the one he asks because he knows for a fact that she wont say anything rude about it.

ChiChi:

- Its already been displayed in the series that ChiChi is actually an adept martial artist, so Zamasu would no doubt have at least some benefit from fusing with her. ChiChi Black would also give him leverage over Goku, who wouldnt want to hurt a loved one.

-Presumably she would have all of Zamasu’s powers of course, but dangerously enough theres been a glimpse in season four of dbz that suggests that ChiChi may or may not be able to pull off Kaio Ken. Because she cant go super saiyan, Zamasu would have to revert to this method, as well as take advantage of ChiChi’s overall agility.

My Ocs:

Kantet: Kantet is an elf of the Klippe species, a species of rock elf that lives in the Klippe empire. Their race his extremely violent and often tries to start needless wars with countries surrounding them. Kantet ses this needless violence as stupid and a waste of time and because of this he is thrown out of his home and sold by his parents to become a mercenary. Because of his upbringing he tends to have a grumpy attitude with a short temper.

- Because his species are people of rock, he actually weighs a lot more than an average elf would, despite his appearance. Rallis, another oc, tried to pick him up once only to be met with the fact that it was practically impossible.

- Kantet claims that the stone’s on his face serve as a defense mechanism, and hes not wrong. However what he fails to explain is that when they bristle its a sign of anxiety and fear.

Elliott: Elliott is a messenger between the two warring kingdoms of the continent of Ellevand. He was originally born on the side of Ellevand that Clockwork later takes over. He himself is fed up with Clockwork’s rule and constant push for war, but doesnt think that opposing him is good either. Because of this he stays a neutral party and delivers messages between the two sides.

- As punctual as he always likes to be, he wont put his life in danger to get mail delivered on time, despite claiming this. He says he always puts his job first, but in truth he cant leave those in need alone and would definitely give up his job to see them safe.

- As irritable as he is on the outside, he actually makes for some of the best conversation in Ellevand. He has stories from both sides of the war, and though it would take him some prompting to share, hes actually not a bad storyteller.

Jaden Yuki/Judai Yuki x Alexis Rhodes/Asuka Tenjoin x Yubel:

- Yubel keeps telling Judai he needs a strong partner to help protect him. hen they see Asuka they legit hound him for hours about it until Judai finally decides to ask Asuka out.

- Asuka is aware of Yubel and finds them fairly pretty, as her Cyber Blader is. She often tells them that which flatters Yubel. Judai sits in the middle of it wondering if they think hes pretty too. They both assure him that he is.
