#withinwithoutadvice Day 4- Card 1 (within) Amazon of Earth, Artemis. Card 2 (without) Destruction, Kali. Card 3 (advice) Siren of Earth, Baubo. Cards are from the #darkgoddesstarot by #ellenlorenziprince Artemis is the protector of the newly born and the most vulnerable. From the guidebook, "defend those who cannot defend themselves. teach strength through example." Kali is a destructive force external to me. I think this has to do with the way my high school students (brand new immigrants who speak no English and are very vulnerable)are sometimes treated by others- I've dealt with a specific situation this week where I've felt very compelled to defend and protect them from the ignorant actions of some others. I've struggled with how to handle this in a way that doesn't ruffle feathers. And I think as advice, Baubo, the Greek Bawdy Goddess, is telling me not to be afraid of shaking things up and calling people out on their poor behavior- it's okay to make others uncomfortable if doing so serves a higher purpose. #tarotreadersofinstagram #tarot

#withinwithoutadvice Day 2: Card 1 (within) Chariot, Ishtar; Card 2 (without) Hag of Fire, Mamam Brigitte; and Card 3 (advice) Four of Air, Nut. My energy is represented by Ishtar and the Chariot, demonstrating my focus, drive and determination in the present moment. The Hag of Fire represents energy external to me, with Maman Brigitte often appearing to remind us of the importance of honoring our ancestors- interesting because my 97- year old grandmother is here visiting me this week while she recovers from eye surgery. And I have been feeling guilty that I have been too busy (or so that's the excuse I've made) to spend a lot of quality time with her while she's here- which I think is reflected in the Chariot's energy here. The advice coming from Hut and the Four of Air is to set aside time to rest and reconnect with people who matter. The guidebook for this deck (The Dark Goddess by Ellen Lorenzi-Prince and this particular card even makes reference to being called upon to help others in illness."
