Last night I watched that movie starring Anne Hathaway as a polisci major who has an enemies-to-lovers romance with a charming brown-haired guy whose uncle is vying for the throne, where the main event the movie is leading up to is the coronation of the kingdom's new ruler.

Huh? You're still confused? I'm talking about

"No one is here," Char said. "You need resist temptation no longer." "Only if you slide too." "I'll go first so I can catch you at the bottom." He flew down so incautiously that I suspected him of years of practice in his own castle. It was my turn. The ride was a dream, longer and steeper than the rail at home. The hall rose to meet me, and Char was there. He caught me and spun me around. "Again!" he cried. We raced up. Behind me he said, "Wait till you try the banister at home." His home! When would I do that?

I haven't yet earned enough money to give Ella Enchanted a proper movie adaptation, but I can and did commission @charlunday to give us a book-accurate Char and Ella. I cannot tell you how much it means to see these two in such a beautiful piece of art, and all of the attention to detail Charlie put in that makes it all the more special. 💖

the parallels between Bucky in the helicarrier scene, when he's been sent to kill Steve, ending up breaking through his programing and rescuing him instead, and Ella of Frell successfully fighting against her curse to always be obedient when they're in the hall of mirrors, so she doesn't kill Prince Char, which she's been sent to do❤️

Ella Enchanted

I just finished Ella Enchanted and I actually can't believe I never saw it as a kid — it's exactly the kind of film my parents would have put on for us. But you know what, I'm kind of glad I hadn't seen it before because it means I get to watch it for the first time as a Hugh Enjoyer and fully appreciate him in this. God he's so pretty. Like this man (esp at the time this was filmed when he had that super fluffy hair) gives me hella gender envy. Literally perfect.

Oh my god Hugh Dancy is so babygirl pretty. I totally get Hattie and Prince Char's fan club. Also the artist who did those pictures of Hugh for Hattie's wall in the beginning, those were simply perfection. I'm just going to gush about him because early 2000s Hugh Dancy was an utter twink like PLEASE that man is so fine. His hair is unbelievably fluffy and his eyes are such a clear blue (this is the kind of poetic I'd expect Hannibal to wax or something). Young Hugh's accent is so much more pronounced it's so cute and it's so adorable he still got those youthful features, like his jawline is definitely less pronounced. <3 

This might genuinely be a top heterosexual ship for me. Ella and Charmont have such good chemistry. Probably doesn't hurt that Hugh and Anne Hathaway were dating/began dating around the time when they were filming anyways, as that would of course have translated over to the character's.

An entertaining film, it has that classic fairytale charm to it which makes it easy to watch (always good) and fun too. Although the green-screening was definitely...a product of its time. The very edited fight scenes too. Although Hugh doing all sorts of martial arts stuff is definitely cool.

What do you mean the little green Irish man is an elf? I thought they were supposed to be leprechauns! (/j)
