Those in italics have five or more pieces of usable visual, written, or audio propaganda already. If you have any visuals like photos or videos, or if you have something to say in words, submit it to this blog before round one begins on June 25th!
If you don't see a name you submitted here, it's because most or all of their career was as a child/they were too young for the cutoff, their career was almost entirely after 1979, or music was something they only dabbled in and are hardly known for. There are quite a few ladies on the list whose primary career wasn't "recording artist" or "live musician," but released several albums or were in musical theater, so they've been accepted.
#long post#miss billboard tourney#i wasn't originally going to list them all but i decided to do so because there are so many without propaganda

R.I.P. My Sanity - Thanks, Good Omens lol
So I just bought my first car. Used car. Technically a LUXURY car original retail value $52k back in 2012, but my lucky arse, I got it for $10k. It's my baby and her name is Queen Elisabeth. Queenie had its first inspection as I wanted to make sure she runs well, and she does.
It's a BUICK SUV, 7 seats, spacious, pretty, perfect for camping trips and transporting a family.
I told my husband: "The BENTLY is going to need more TLC to keep it in good condition,"
.......I called Queenie a Bentley.
Buick, Bentley, eh.... Mistakes happen. I just had to laugh. I love writing GO fanfiction especially Crowley angst and fantasy accidentally leaked into reality for a second. lol
I have an angel decorum over the back mirror, so.. Canon? This is just a testament as to how much the show has embedded into my psyche.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk.
A photo of Queenie for reference. NOT a Bentley but she's still pretty.

Hey I'm just curious where the info about nile crocodiles possibly going extinct due to the bombings came from because I can't find that information anywhere or even evidence that nile crocodiles live or lived anywhere near the area
Good question! I found a couple articles that talks about it. It seems the Nile croc USED to exist there and no longer does (because of Britain, not Israel). So they have just completely left that area, and have been gone since the 1930's. Still misinformation on my end, I'm sorry.
Another amendment: I put that in my post because I had just seen a Tumblr post about the last croc being mourned by Palestinians, and with everything going on, I thought it was related to the genocide. It wasn't. It was recent art about an event that happened a long time ago. Here's the Reddit version of that post as well.
I should have done more research beforehand. I was frustrated and just reciting information I'd reblogged onto my blog. The crocodile thing was actually what pushed me to make that post in the first place, so that is 100% on me. (And yes, even that post said "1930s", so I don't really have an excuse on that one besides I was tired and frustrated, but yeah. I still am, but y'know.)
Between Extinction and Dispossession: A Rhetorical Historiography of the Last Palestinian Crocodile (1870–1935) by Elisabeth Bentley
On Killing Crocodiles: Colonial Zoology in Late Ottoman Palestine by Elisabeth Bentley
I would like to note that both my sources are from the same person. Bentley appears to be an expert on the topic, and also the only one talking about it. Her essays keep being re-used on different websites over and over again, so it looks like I'm not the only one who can't find any other sources. But her work is well-written, and definitely worth a read.
I'm gonna be more diligent about this going forward.
#dimond speaks#at least bentley isn't being plagiarized over this but it is upsetting that she's the only one focusing on this#idk. the post was a vent that i shouldn't have tried to make it anything more than that#fortunately not many people have found that post so I can take it down#but yeah.#i'm still really fucking upset over it#i just wish i could DO something y'know?#so i thought maybe making a post would be SOMETHING#but i really dropped the ball on that#I'm gonna make another one and this time i'm gonna do some SERIOUS research#i wanna compile everything in one place and keep adding to it as shit goes down#i think that will be MUCH better than the other post.#again sorry for just making that post without doing my own research and just reciting things i'd heard#hearsay is never good especially about stuff like this#this now sounds like a youtuber apology video oh god GFHJDSAK#but yeah. not doing that again. if im gonna vent it's going to be A VENT not a serious post

‘Then the black rain fell’: survivor’s recollections of Hiroshima inspire new film
A major feature film on Hiroshima is going into production, inspired inpart by an unpublished memoir of a Japanese man who witnessed thedevastation of the city after the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. Scriptwriter Elisabeth Bentley was taken aback by the personalrecollections of Kiyoshi Tanimoto in a 230-page memoir that she unearthedin a US archive. A Christian convert, Tanimoto was a…

10. Heroes
2006-2010, 4 Seasons, 78 Episodes, US, NBC
Creator: Tim Kring
Main Cast: Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panetierre, Masi Oka, Jack Coleman, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Adrian Pasdar, Greg Grunerg, Zachary Quinto, Ali Larter, Noah Gray-Cabey, Santiago Cabera, Twany Cypress, Leonard Roberts, James Kyson Lee, Kristen Bell, Danai Ramirez, David Anders, Dana Davis, Cristine Rose, Brea Grant, Robert Knepper, Dawn Olivieri, Deanne Bray, Ashley Crow, Jimmy Jean-Louis, George Takei, Randall Bentley, Adair Tishler, Elizabeth Lackey, Jessalyn Gilsig, Thomas Dekker, Stephen Tobolowsky, Zeljko Ivanek, Elisabeth Röhm
„Every hero must learn his purpose, then he will get tested and called to greatness.“
The one in which: People across the globe discover that they have super powers. Which leads to them preventing a horrible future, and then another really horrible future, and then another horrible future, which could potentially end Earth, and then another bad future caused by Robert Knepper. Also we have a brain stealing serial killer, an immortal teenager, a japanese nerd, two brothers, who are a little bit too close maybe, triplets, a not very bright mind-reading cop, a hot scientist, an electric girl, and Horn Rimmed Glasses aka Noah, whose glasses are actually not horn rimmed at all. Also we end with a cliffhangar, on which the pretty horrible follow-up series is built on, but we tend to ignore that most of the time.
Favorite Episodes: Five Years Gone (1x20), Six Months Ago (1x10), Genesis (1x1), Four Months Ago (2x8), Villains (3x8)

Interpol Calling: Pipeline (1.37, ITC, 1960)
"A burst here, and thousands of tons of crude oil will pollute the river. Downstream you got rice paddies, whole lotta rich fruit farms, grazing land. You cover this valley with oil - every darn thing will die."
#interpol calling#itc#1960#classic tv#charles korvin#john bentley#elisabeth wilson#richard leech#dervis ward#john cairney#gordon sterne#alan browning#another interesting take on the usual series format#korvin flies into a civil war to arrest john bentley on suspicion of murder#but bentley is the only man who can keep an oil pipeline from bursting and causing untold damage#so they must continue to work as the bullets fly#its good tense stuff. these last few episodes have been among the best#alan browning reappears from the previous episode again uncredited despite having lines#john cairney had been in the episode before last. at least this time he isn't in brownface#most curious is the casting of richard leech. he'd done a couple of episodes earlier in the series as a recurring english police contact#of korvins. here he's another police contact half way across the world and he's grown a moustache#long lost brother?#why not. im making that canon#the canon of interpol calling is a hotly debated topic amongst the whole fandom#the whole fandom being me#our main concern? more. edwin. richfield.#once again he's absent here but then im not convinced how he'd handle a war zone tbh
