He absolutely adores you, a sentiment that he’s never hesitated to make known ꒰whether it be to you or anybody within a five mile radius꒱, and you just can’t help but adore him all the same. The poor man was probably even scouring his visions to try and figure out what married life would be like before the wedding, if it gives you any sort of insight into how in love with you he is. And, since he did go through with it, I think it’s safe to say that he enjoyed what he saw!

꒰🦉꒱・I believe that Eli would also be the type to enjoy living in a cottage outside of the city, though not exactly for the same reasons that Naib may prefer to. Of course, while some of his motivation does relate to his desire to give you a space to decorate to your heart's content—he just loves how cute your personal style is—he’s also… just a big fan of how cozy and quaint it is. The city has its charms, of course, though he’d much rather live more peacefully beside you, away from the ‘rise and grind’ lifestyle. Even still, I’d say that your cottage would probably be quite close to the city, as it would be far more convenient for the both of you.

꒰🦉꒱・For the most part, although he does enjoy keeping your company, he fully trusts you to take care of yourself, seeing no need to try and restrict your personal freedoms. You’re your own person, after all. I don’t exactly see him as the type to become jealous ꒰that easily꒱ or overly worrisome, so he’s very much alright with letting you do whatever you’d like to—just as long as the two of you communicate with each other. His abilities as a seer, which he’d been open about with you since the beginning of your relationship, provide an extra sense of protection—even if he’s unable to tell you about the future that he foresees.

As such, any and all attempts to sway the outcomes of events are done incredibly precisely and subtly, years of having to keep the details of these prophecies secret giving him an incredible edge.

What better way to celebrate the aversion of a potential disaster than snuggling up with your loved one, right? In the case that you do notice, however, it’s quite easy to confirm your suspicions. You love your husband, you really do—but any and all attempts of lying to you are quickly rendered useless by the small expression of guilt that appears on his face. He’s just… not a fan of lying to you, really.

꒰🦉꒱・He walks a very fine line when it comes to his duties as a seer and his duties as Eli, his decisions to counteract any bad omens sometimes already putting him at risk for ‘punishment’—whatever that punishment may be. And while he may not always spare you the full extent of his stakes ꒰he’d hate to scare you, after all꒱, he’s eternally grateful that he was able to meet you somewhere along the journey of his life. Powers be damned—this man is absolutely head over heels for his spouse!

꒰🦉꒱・Eli’s paycheck isn’t quite as large as Naib’s, a combination of factors having to blame for such circumstances. While you might’ve initially assumed that he’d be loaded—believing that he could easily make a fortune on telling people their fortunes—his restrictions keep that from being a viable option. Not to mention that there’s already many self-proclaimed seers running along, though Eli always says that they rely more on smooth-talking their clients than actually using any sort of foresight.

꒰🦉꒱・His preferred method of acquiring money is usually through picking up smaller jobs that interest him—with his visions helping him realize when certain opportunities are better than others. Simple manual labor, or perhaps even acting as a helping hand for somebody in need—he’s a firm believer in helping those that are less fortunate than him, and it’s something that he takes a great amount of pride in. The only downside is that some jobs require him to leave the house for days at a time, though he does his best to get back to you as soon as possible.

꒰🦉꒱・Although the both of you may not be able to shop until your heart’s content ꒰not that I see Eli being much of a big spender, regardless꒱he does quite enjoy saving up money in order to surprise you with gifts. Just like many things within his life, his visions do tend to come in handy for this sort of thing, especially considering that all he needs to do is pick up a gift in order to figure out whether or not you’d enjoy it. Throughout all of the time that you’ve known him—whether it be as friends, lovers, or spouses, there hasn’t been a singular instance of him gifting you something you’ve disliked.

꒰🦉꒱・On the other hand, however, shopping for Eli tends to be a far more strenuous task—though not for the reason that you might expect. You know what to get him, and that he’d really just love anything, so long as you chose it for him out of the goodness of your heart… But you also know that you’ll never be able to keep it a secret from him. It’s a little sad, you think, that he knows what’s beneath the wrapping paper before it’d even been wrapped. He’ll at least try to pretend that he’s oblivious, feeling the gift and making some purposefully incorrect guesses before opening it. It’s a small gesture, but it really means a lot to him.

He’s eagerly walking over to you before the words even leave your mouth!

She’ll even flutter around and try to help you with any chores, something that you deeply appreciate—though she will steal any food that you’ve cooked. 1) Aesop | Embalmer

|⚰️| Aesop is probably one of the least likely people to step in and fight for you, first of all. He’s never been the type to lay his hands on another person. That being said, he probably has other ways of getting back at them for hitting you (will mention later)

|⚰️| Assuming you’re still conscious after being punched, he’d walk to to Emily’s room in order to have you looked at- eyes staring at the forming bruise and blood dripping from your nose

|⚰️| If you’re unconscious, he’d probably look over you himself first. He’s a little creepy at times- and definitely loves how peaceful you look while asleep. (Also- it’s unlikely you feel any pain while knocked out- extra bonus!)

|⚰️| He can’t help but think that In some messed up way, you’re almost pretty/handsome like this.

|⚰️| If your clothing is covered with blood from your nosebleed- you’re unlikely to be receiving any of Aesops clothing off of his own back, he’s a huge germaphobe.

|⚰️| The embalmer will, however, go to your room and bring you a change of your own clothing (or maybe some of his if he’s feeling generous..). That way you won’t have to sit in that shirt of yours.

|⚰️| As I mentioned earlier- Aesop doesn’t like to get blood on his hands directly, but has other means of getting back at people who hurt anyone he cares about or himself.

|⚰️| In this case, he’d likely mess around with them for a while, not enough to hurt them- but enough to scare the person who hurt you into backing off.

|⚰️| This usually stays at just odd stare downs and glares, along with a few blunt words from Aesop. But if the fight was bad enough, best believe Aesop will do his best to screw them over in the next matches he has with them.

|⚰️| You’re one of the only living (perhaps?) people he loves, if anyone hurt you- he’d probably not take it very well.

2) Eli | Seer

|🤍| Eli’s inability to directly see what’s occurring would make it very unlikely that he’d step into the fight. Instead, he’d probably do his best to convince you two to stop. Or, if needs be, call for help from another manor resident.

|🤍| He can’t see how bad the damage is unless Brooke is with him.. and assuming he may not under this circumstance- he’d probably take you to Emily just to make sure you’re fine.

|🤍| He’s super gentle when touching your face after finding out you had been punched there, worried he could potentially cause more pain. (Not in a himbo way but in like a caring way idk)

|🤍| Quite awkward approaching the subject with you, but Eli does scold you quite a bit for getting into a fight in the first place

|🤍| “what were you thinking, (name)? You could have gotten much more hurt than you did!”

|🤍| Like Aesop- he wouldn’t do anything physical to your attacker (but for Eli, it’s simply because he isn’t in a good condition for fighting. If he could see, he’d probably deliver the other person a quick smack)

|🤍| Instead, the other person can safely bet they will not be receiving any owls or protection from Eli for a while.

|🤍| He does hold grudges to an extent when it comes to people harming his loved ones, and would probably be upset and anxious about you getting into a fight for weeks afterwards.

Modern Au? Def Aesop and Eli know each other through mutual friends (cough vicdrew)

Eli’s engagement in this is a bit sour, good terms but they can both mutually agree it’s not working out, but neither will call it off.

Poor Aesop had a crush on Eli for months, shyly confessed by accident to the man but was turned down cause he’s engaged.

Things go back to their normal friendship, Eli def wouldn’t take crushes seriously and didn't mind aesop pining after him.

Feeling guilty the moment he realized he liked Aesop in return, spent weeks wondering if he was horrible for having attractions to someone else.

Tried to shyly confess back, but aesop doesn’t take rejection well and just snaps coldly while he’s working.

“You’re engaged.”

Eli takes the rejection calmly, he nods and leaves, aesop is quick to apologize that night but Eli shuts him down so fast.

“You’re right I’m engaged and have no reason to be with you.”

They do this for weeks until finally Brooke gets attached to Aesop, Eli finds the three of them relaxing together until Brooke is dozing comfortably.

Eli is cozied up as well, happy to be all curled up, aesop is a nervous wreck and just very quietly through his teeth.

Eli laughs, legit takes this stupid man’s hands and kisses them so softly, he loves this anxiety ridden man more than anything.

Aesop likes to be called Eli’s gf or bf, doesn’t find gender important much at all, he cares solely about the love and care he finally receives after being deprived of it for years.

Taking physical contact so slow, Eli is getting used to being intimate again.

Aesop is terribly shy to most affection.. this poor man is in shambles when they do anything.

Hand holding? Hiding his face.

Small kisses? His entire face goes red and Eli has his cheeks in his gloves.

Anything even remotely close to pda? Aesop is so anxious it’s not even funny.

He loves it, but he panics and overthinks constantly, wants them to be safe and gets nervous when others question their public affection.

Eli loves physical touch, takes his time and is patient with Aesop and sticks with lots of small gifts and acts of service.

Aesop would never outright ask for any sort of physical touch, not at first, but he will glance at Eli’s lips and look away, or he’ll brush against his hand if he wants to hold them.

When Aesop starts to become more comfortable and does whatever he wants??? Eli is bright red.

One time before a hang out with friends someone tried to flirt with Eli and Aesop grabbed his chair and pulled him closer, started a random ass convo and just went.

Aesop def is still a mortician, nothing can change that.

ELI??? Works in an animal rescue sanctuary but works mainly with the birds, Brooke was a special case and made it able for eli to care for her personally.

Aesop meeting eli is like someone meeting their s/o’s child for the first time, eli said so seriously.

Ofc Brooke loved him, he’s quiet and calm well appears to be, so fucking adorable the way Brooke is quick to love this man.

Aesop always brings Eli flowers, he works around funerals he knows the importance of flowers, his favorite to give are daisies mixed with forget me nots with some basil. Man is so smitten and set on Eli.

Eli hangs them to dry, or drys them in a sort of sand, when Aesop comes over again and sees the flowers all dried and hung or in portraits behind glass he stares and Eli just jokingly goes.

“Do you think this counts as a form of embalming?”

⚰️🔮 Hamlet x Final Honor/Lunar Phase

• Hamlet is the prince of a well-known kingdom, having Final Honor as his personal guard. They grew up together, so they were kind of childhood friends, but always had a wall between them because of that. A difficult relationship between a guard that has to put his duty before his feelings, and a prince who decides to overlook his position, falling in love with his retainer.

• When they became adults, that wall only became thicker between them, but also Honor feelings for Hamlet too. Of course, Aesop was feeling something for him too, but he was in too of a comfort zone to try to break his already relationship with his feelings. But he never rejected said feelings, always growing together with him.

• This is when Lunar Phase appears for the first time. In some kind of dispute between Hamlet and Honor, Hamlet goes to the city alone (he forbids Honor to accompany him), and when he is wandering around a close forest at the night (or something like that) he meets a curious man in white robes, being bathed by the moonlight. He called himself Lunar Phase, and he and Hamlet became friends.

• When he is alone and has spare time, Hamlet would go to see Lunar, and he would always find him there. Their relationship becomes even closer with time but thing is that Hamlet cannot let go of his feelings for Honor either, because they were there in his heart for so many years. Even if at some point he and Lunar kissed, every time he is by Honor's side, feelings started to flow again, mainly because Honor seemed to start being suspicious of why Aesop always disappears (and maybe even jealous when Aesop tells him he met someone).

• Thing is that, plotwist, Honor and Lunar are the same person, and Lunar ended being without even trying to be, the persona Eli can trust to be free without duty bonds that make him push Hamlet away, but at the same time is making things go even harder between them, because Honor is starting to feel jealous of the freedom his other self have. Also he is lying to Aesop too.

• At some point when a battle between kingdoms happened, Honor was hurt protecting Hamlet, making him limp for a while. At the same time, when Hamlet visits Lunar, he notices that he has a bandaged ankle, but he takes it only as a coincidence because in his mind he would never pic Honor acting like Lunar, he was too stiff and correct for that, also Honor pushed his feelings a long time ago, there was no way that those things could be related.

• And still like that, the unsettling feeling was left in Hamlet's heart, itching him every time he saw both men. Not only he had to choose if is free enough to leave his feelings for Honor since he and Lunar had chemistry too, or to leave Lunar in order to protect what always was precious for him with Honor.

• In the end, by Honor's mistake, Hamlet notices a strange mark of a moon in his back, the same once he saw in Lunar once when they did you know what once, and that's when everything I babbled here makes sense, Honor having to confess that indeed, he and Lunar were the same person all the time... and that he loves Hamlet too, but he is unable to accept to be with him because they weren't born to be together...

• They fight, they cry, but in the end they kiss (and more), and now Honor would not only be his knight, but also his wife as Lunar too.

he's so selfish.

he gave into the comforts of the manor too easily. the free yet quality booze that makes you feel all warm inside, the heavy meals served everyday, warm sofa cushions padding your back. he got used to it so quickly it stopped seeming like a privilege.

in moments like these he often remembers gertrude, how she's probably somewhere out there praying for his - presumably dead - body to at least be found in one piece. it has been too long since he left home in order to pursue a chance of a comfortable life for the two of them. no one would think he survived.

the unfairness of it all is what hurts him the most. how shameless of him is indulging in luxuries when his most beloved is probably rationing a two-day's portion of bread? there's probably a way to escape - but maybe he just doesn't want to.

the fastest way to cope is to indulge in those same luxuries over and over, day by day. a lavish life that would otherwise cost one a fortune is easily available to any resident. haunted by the past? down a bottle of wine with the other nobodies to forget your sorrows. or two, if one doesn't give you the kick you need. stressed? ring the butler, serve yourself and light a cigarette. don't mind the ash and the butts staining the velvet covers since it's not your duty to clean up. nothing's working yet? there's enough concoctions and drugs in the basement to take them recreatively.

he might not look like the type, but he has tried them all. he stopped with some, though, but mostly because they don't work anymore. the others, guilt. luckily his alcohol tolerance remained the same through the years and - although on very rare occassions - just a puff from a cigarette helps him unwind a bit. his two trusty companions when his head pulses from thinking too hard and the weight on his chest makes it difficult to move a muscle.

not a single speck of high taste in his actions. he doesn't chug the wine with vigour like demi or josé and whatever he smokes slips out of his fingers 'cause of his clumsy grip. the devilish temptations are splayed on the low table in front of him like a tarot deck and he slowly takes in whatever his gut finds appropriate for the moment.

he's not addicted, it's not like he'll die from withdrawal, it's just (sadly) the quickest and most effective way of avoiding his problems.

only a handful of people know about his destructive habit, and the secret hasn't spread any further since he first joined. the same way of coping with guilt and shame results in more of guilt and shame, creating a vicious cycle. especially since many newbies admire him, a veteran, for persisting for so long in the games and remaining near the top of the food chain. it's not an image one should uphold, let alone someone with his reputation.

as time passed, this means of escape became more like a ritual, way less frequent and if not more important.

besides, the end is inevitable. it has been haunting him from the very beginning, day and night. visions of chaos intrude on his peace of mind everyday and there's no way he can avoid them.

it's only a matter of time before this garden of eden turns to ash. the end is near, but what hurts the most is he's the only one who knows what's coming.

aesop carl⚰️

one may assume the influence of jerry carl upon him has dwindled with time. it has been years since aesop joined in the survivor faction and started interacting with others. he already has a set of prepared phrases to use in daily communication. to most, this might give off an impression of someone skilled in socializing - of course, this is all just learned behavior.

even with him gone, jerry did build the foundation on which aesop carl's whole being is constructed. he taught him the ropes, how to prepare the dead - or the living - for a safe departure to the other side. jerry nullified every speck of empathy that may have resided in him once, for he's just a third faction in this exchange of life and death, not somebody who can choose between mercy and violence.

his profession is what he is. he can't remember the last time he worked with a real human body, although that just might be the effect of the memory distorting drugs he unknowingly took during his stay. with no real purpose, no need for his kind, aesop carl started to crumble.

his life has been on a downward spiral ever since he stepped foot into the manor. "oh, but he embalms the puppets!" - aren't they just a disgrace to his craft!? they're nothing but a perversion of what should be the most graceful and important duty on this earth. turning cloth into skin, rice filling into flesh, doesn't all this just scream idolatry? playing god? the dead are supposed to rest, not come back to life! it's completely reversing the natural process!

he dreams of being of use again, to finally be praised and admired instead of scrutinized and avoided. the same people that treat him like a creep beg for his aid when their body lays limp in the hunter's hands.

he wants to work with real people again. sometimes he drifts off and finds himself picking out the best candidate for embalming. fantasizes of their tranquil expression, the faint traces of warmth on the skin after they die. blood trailing down the curves of their body and him gently wiping it, their life taken with just one little scar that he'll patch up anyway.

it doesn't have to always be someone else, though. he's often enarmored in thoughts about his own death. he has already decided he'll stuff his usual coffin which he uses in matches with the softest padding he can find and the freshest yellow roses from the garden. maybe he'll overdose? smoothly transport his mind from one world to another? if things don't get better, this solution is always available.

his own little funeral, fit for a prince. he has to treat himself with care, no? his frail frame has already been damaged enough.

he sometimes avoids visiting emily after matches since he'd rather suffer than engage in unnecessary conversations. he's pretty sure his left rib is broken and his right knee makes concerning noises when he puts a lot of pressure on it. not to mention the amount of times he dislocated his knees and ankles. it's all good until it hurts to breathe while running and he gets hit in the same spot over and over again until he coughs up blood. hunters catch up with weak spots faster than one may think.

the smartest decision would be letting the expert heal him, but aesop knows emily would mercilessly scold him beforehand. he often finds starting arguments and conflicts fun, but this one he wants to avoid under any circumstances.

despite how torn he is between morals his mentor showed him and morals imposed by the society he's now part of, jerry undeniably cared for aesop. he was like a father he never had. he's starving for praise, just a whiff of validation coming from somebody he knows. he's the only person that truly knew his worth.

maybe all this physical pain is a good omen, a sign that he'll pass by natural causes soon. he learned a lot about other interpretations of reality and death from fiona's seances and the religious residents' prayers. he hopes this feeling he has is right and, maybe, he'll meet jerry again in the afterlife.

This is a Joker/Weeping Clown X Gender Neutral Reader! (No Plan, Just Write!)

Note: I don't know much about him except what is in his backstory video & I'm not a big fan of most people headcanons! Also, I hate Weepy X Dancer, why would he love her if she is the reason he wears the mask now? I also feel like she only went to Joker because he doesn't drink/wasn't drunk at the time.

You've been living in The Oletus Manor for 4 months. Your friend group consists of Eli Clark, Luca Balsa, Tracy Reznik, Demi Bourbon, Mike Morton & Joker. Bestie you, Joker & Eli are the most soft-spoken of the group, so you spend most of your time with them. From the moment you sew Joker, you quickly develop feelings for him & the more you talk with him, the more you fall for him. He's actually a really reserved person. He really didn't start talking with you until almost two weeks after you started living in the manor.

For a couple weeks now, you & Joker have been spending more time together. Today, you're eating lunch with Luca, Tracy, Mike, & Demi. "It's wired to see Joker Want to spend time with someone." Luca says. "It is." Tracy chimed in & they both look at you with a smirk. "..Why are you looking at me like that?" "Mike, you don't happen to know anything, do you?" Demi ask. "Nope!" He quickly replies. "Lier!" Luca & Tracy say as the same. "Am Not!" Mike whines.

After lunch, you go outside & sit under a tree. You hear someone approach & you look up to see Joker. "Hi Y/N, mind if I join you?" "Not at all!" You say as you pat the space next to you. He slowly sits down next to you & says: "it's really nice out today." "It is." You two sat in silence for a little while before you feel him pull a hand on your shoulder & lean closer to you while pointing at something. "Look, two baby deer eating." He wished to you as they were maby 10 feet away.

"Aw cute!" You wisper to him. He quickly removes his hand & put it on the ground next to you. You both quietly watch them for a while. Eventually, you decide to hold his hand & lean on his shoulder. Despite you moving slowly so he knows what you're doing, he still jumps & shakes a little. ".. w-what are you doing?" "Sorry, do you not like being touched?" ".. um, .. i-it's not that- .. w-why.. why me, .. why would i be your first chance?"

"You're funny, kind, a great listener, sweet-" ".. you mean it,.. am I really your first chance,.. you don't like someone else more?" You kneel in front of him & cup his face. "I love you and you alone!" He leans forward & kisses you on the lips. You kiss him back & his one hand run through your hair. He pulls away & says: "I don't believe I'm someone's-" You kiss him to cut him off, pull away & says: "You deserve love, you deserve to be my first choice!"

He hugs you & starts to softly sob into your shoulder. "I love you, Y/N! I love you so much!" You hug him back & gently rub his back. "I love you too, Joker!"
