Could I ask what the story is between your characters? I see little snippets of it with the qnas on your twitter, but will there ever be some sort of comic aspect to it? or writing? They are so interesting to me I must ask.
thank you, i’m so happy that you find them so intriguing!! <333
their ask blog that i crosspost from is here at @ttwkyasks and information about the individual characters are here. they’ve spawned and grown and twisted quite a lot over time, but they originally came from a really dramatic and batshit insane streamer yaoi fic that i began to transform into a piece of original work. the final product will be a multimedia graphic novel that i’m working on behind the scenes, but in the meantime i’m running the ask blog to help develop them as well as i possibly can and iron out kinks in the story.
essentially the plot is about how the hayes family, for all intents and purposes, suffers from a generational curse in which their systems are damaged from a cancerous perversity and they will suffer from a taboo attraction to their own body and blood. each patriarch will poison the next unless the bloodline is completely cut off and no more haysees are born. jay hayes suffered at the hands of his father, who he loathes for poisoning him and relishing in the pleasure he got from the atrocious acts he committed. at age twenty-one, he graduated from community college with a teaching certificate and very quickly married a french immigrant, abigail, who he met at one of his classes in a drunken flurry. unbeknownst to jay, abigail had a murky past that she didn’t offer much information on and none of it really mattered to jay. he was determined to prove that he wouldn’t make the same mistakes that his father did by never producing a son, but instead living happily and domestically in a nice little house in the middle of phoenix, arizona, the complete opposite of where he’d grown up. unfortunately for him, abigail began to rapidly fall out of love with jay as he became more and more dependent on alcohol and much less intimate with her. their marriage was thrown into a brutal upset when abigail realized she was pregnant after a condom broke and jay went into a mad, anxious spiral, loathing his unborn son and loathing abigail more for refusing to get an abortion. after annie was born, abigail (who was only nineteen at the time) suffered heavily from postpartum depression and couldn’t connect with her newborn son, so she fled back to boston to live with her family and the son she actually cared about, who she had had at the age of sixteen and had been under the care of her grandparents. jay was now a single father and forced to care for what he thought was a living ticking time bomb.
at the age of eleven, annie approached jay and admitted that he’d experienced something he couldn’t recognize when a girl had stepped on him during recess. jay realized he couldn’t avoid not his nor annie’s fate for any longer and he explained the generational curse to annie, who failed to understand it and its stakes, but he did have an awareness that everything was going to change. ever since then, jay and annie have operated in very twisted, demented ways that are not remotely within the normal confines of a father and son, but instead borderline enemies, hated friends, estranged divorcees, etc etc. annie is currently dating a girl in his grade named claire and jay is dating a college boy named eva. if there’s anything else you’d like to know about them, you can always ask the boys questions at the blog :3c

QnA to know about me.
Why do you love Stranger Things?
On my 15th birthday (before the 2020 quarantine), my older brother bought his Netflix and we created our profiles, including me and my younger sister. It's was fun at first, I watched some animes and cartoons, then 2 days later (I remembered), I'm extremely bored during the COVID-19 quarantine, scrolling through Netflix, until I found the one and only, Stranger Things! I love how this show changed my life because of how great it is. Especially Eleven, Mike and Steve (both of my favourite characters). After I watched from season 1 to 3, I started to think about, Finn Wolfhard is kinda cute, and Millie. And when i sleep, every time I had a dream is Mike comforting Eleven, Will is getting lost again and etc. So that's is my story about my ST addiction!
What program do you use for drawing?
Ibis Paint in my old days. I use Procreate. Not just because I'm not like "OoOo I hAvE aN iPaD" kinda person, it's because how "comfortable" the program usage is. Medibang and Autodesk Sketchbook are OK in my opinion, these are the programs i used back in 2016 - 2018. Change is a good thing.
Have you ever got cyberbullied?
Yes. Really. When i was 14 years old, I started my Instagram fan account. I thought it would be a good idea. You know, I was interested. My fan account is dedicated to Jace Norman. Yes! I loved this guy, I constantly thought about him. So I thought maybe I should meet online friends who support Jace. Fan groups, private messages, whatever we can do on Instagram. In 7th and 8th grade after school, people on my Instagram feed are talking about me! They repost my edits. I got 200+ subscribers which is a lot for me. That's all I can say about my positive points, but things are getting worse... Fan groups and Instagram directs are little scary to me, it feels like I'm talking to strangers. Sometimes it's hard to make friends. I woke up, had breakfast, opened Instagram and had fun in Jace's fan groups. I'm going crazy. Then I was accidentally being rude to the fans. People are shocked by my mistake. I thought, what? They said I annoy the fans and Jace. People send each other evidences and chat dialogues about me. Then one person tries to report me for harassment. I told my online friend to beg her to unblock me. Then I apologized on Instagram stories every time I get sad. The next day, most of my fan group friends block me. The other person is trying to intimidate me, like "You're so stupid", "You shouldn't be a Jace Norman fan" and "STFU". I'm crying quietly under my pillow, I think I've done it. So I blocked him (or her), left fangroups, and took a break from social media. But it doesn't work. Every day they talk about me, how terrible I am. I apologized again and again and again like a "precious kitten" begging to accept my apology and unblock me. I'm sick of this torture, that In November 2019, I said goodbye to my Instagram account. Now I'm 17, I learned my mistakes and I won't do this again with you (you guys are the best!), this is like my "im14andthisisdeep" situation.
Moral of this section is to not be a suck-up person, even on the fandom of Nickelodeon shows.
Why you should view my Telegram channel?
Some of my close folks don't use it. If you are interested, my russian Telegram channel presents to my tons of arts, montages, my life updates and even mashups. My Tumblr blog is for art only.
Without social media, what's your free time?
Improving my English and going to the shopping centre, parks and cafés with my best friend and sometimes with my mother. Typical.

Hii sorry if I sound intrusive but may I ask your wattpad username? You don't have to drop it if you're uncomfortable tho!!
Oh Hello! Sorry for the late reply... I assume that the tumblr you are using is mobile making you fail to access the link... So my username in Wattpad is BerrySan15 and a little reminder about my works in that account:
My Demon Slayer Fanfics:
My First, My End- This is a KNY x OC so Don't read that... I wrote that book without much thought and believe me, I don't like my oc over there (She is like a Mary Sue, and I am disappointed with myself), I will rewrite it if ever I have a much more sane plot though.
Fates A N D Furies- Another x OC, I will recommend this if only I manage to remember that this book still exists... But it is under rewrites this year actually. The oc is much more mature here than the other fic...
Hunter x Hunter:
Begonia Lullaby- A very confusing kind of self-insert(actually it IS a self-insert)... Ongoing still... But confusing
Inazuma Eleven (The much more older works tbh):
Just A Little Bit of Love- Hiatus, DON'T read... Kind of made this on my younger years and I regretted it... A LOT. Tbh I made the script TOO violent. :)
The Duchess's Hope- Has a lot of crossovers... but the crossovers make sense in a way... But since it is a first POV, it is kind of messy.
Encanto:
Star of the Sea- A vey slow burn (the updates are slow too) story about Camilo and Oc reader... Most of the time tackles about Camilo's possible identity crisis.. So basically, it is kind of a friend with problems x therapist friend troupe...
Extras:
A Euphoric Celebration- A book filled with Anniversary or a few specials... kind of a QnA
Aesthetic and Anxious- A Poetry and Art book... not posting a lot though.. not unless I was able to make some...
Joseon Time Telling- An Info about the Shibiji(A way of telling the time in old Korea)
Tokyo Revengers:
A Recondite Impulse- Also available in this acc. But this one is Ongoing... And has a lot of characters..
I Never Liked Mama- Is kind of connected to the first story... Follows the story of one of my OCs that somehow has the child of Rindou in the Bonten arc...
Queen of Hours: Diary of a Babaylan- More active in that account, but both (Tumblr and Wattpad) accounts are catching up on each other...
Sorry if I made it too long.. Just warning you of the read and don't read..

[TL Summary] Hanasaki Miyabi Marshmallow Reading (4/8/2021)
Get To Know Hanasaki Miyabi!! I’ll do QnA Marshmallow! [Hanasaki Miyabi/Holostars]
Tumblr media
I reccommend watching the stream too!
He first greets the fans by telling them it’s been cold lately. After a cute head swaying and the usual KonbanMiyabi~, he then mentioned how there are new people who starts watching him lately, or maybe even those who had following him for long, and might not know who he is – for he doesn’t know himself much either, said by him – and he direct this stream for those who wants to know him more deeper.
There are many marshmallows sent to him and he might unable to answer it all.
・The mallow sender is very fond of Miyabi’s cuteness; The part of him that shows how good he is at games, the part of him that is nice to his Hanamigumis, the part of him that likes Temma a lot, the part of him that can’t read kanji well… The more they see him from different angle the cuter he looks and they wonder how can he be so cute and what is Miyabi’s own definition of cute.
Miyabi answered with how he doesn’t actually aiming to act cute, he’s just living as he is. He just showed how he actually is. So he concluded that probably he’s probably being cute just by living. He described it with how you usually saw a beautiful flower blooming on the side of the road and thought how cute it is.
Tho, he doesn’t like it if he’s being praised cute too much.
By re-reading what the mallow sender thought of him as cute, he said maybe to this person’s eye, he’ll probably be forgiven for almost anything at this rate; even if he ate his food messily and can’t clean it by himself, or when he got very fat, the sender might just think of it as cute.
Chat: I wouldn’t like messy eating… Miyabi: Yes! That’s how it should be. I think I’ll be a goner if you all don’t get angry for what I did wrong. So you all should get angry to me if I got overboard, okay. I think human is like that.
Comment: Then please don’t mute yourself when you’re sneezing Miyabi: That is one of the only thing I will never do.
Looks like even if we throw him red SC, he won’t change his mind.
・The sender wants to know what kind of bag that Miyabi usually use when he go out.
He answered, when he was in elementary school he used a aqua blue and white backpack with a strap of stuffed Disney character doll on the side. After he entered middle school, he felt a little embarrassed wearing it and decided to use a shoulder bag. He sometimes still use shoulder bag until now. And now, for some reason, he goes back to occasionally using the aqua blue and white backpack. He likes how it can hold many goods at once. And what he usually use now is a red, white, and blue colored backpack. And he still bring the same stuffed Disney character doll. He also said he put the Kyomu Suzume keychain too.
His mother had said to him that wouldn’t his age doesn’t suit for him to still hanging around a character doll on a bag, and he replied with “But I like it!!” In the end, his interest is still the same from when he was a kid.
Chat said that dolls has no age limit and he agrees. He also imagines a situation of him meeting someone wearing the same character doll strap and will quietly say in his heart “Ahh, you too huh. That doll is cute, I understand~!” and wouldn’t it be exciting to see someone who brought the same goods as you!
He also imagines a future where people with Holostars goodies glancing at each other’s merchandise and form a conversation of fellow Holostars fans, and said how exciting it will be – tho since Holostars had released their own goods, he find it possible to do even now –
・The sender told him about the new Among Us map and wondered if Holostars will play it again.
Miyabi answered this question vaguely by saying he’s preparing for things and told us to wait for it.
・The sender has bought food from convenience store a lot lately and wondered about Miyabi’s recommended convenience store items.
Miyabi answered with how he likes and often goes to buy stuff from convenient store. He mentioned how there are many types of convenient store, but the one he goes the most is Seven Eleven. He recommended a section beside the onigiri section, in the French bread section where you can find bread with cream cheese and salmon filling. Tho, he mentioned how it depends on the place whether they stock the same food or not. The next on his recommendation list is salad with pork shabu-shabu, and he also recommended season-limited food and drinks, like zavas cocoa and the likes. He also recommended flank steak. Also microwaveable squid, or those that could be use as side dish like smoked salmon. And spicy dried squid. For the drinks, he recommended cola. He told of normal occurrences he usually had where, despite all of the food and drinks mentioned before, when he reached the cashier he’ll eventually buy more goods and the total price would be over 3K. And after he got home, he’ll eat it all in just a day. Especially if there’s an update to the game he played.
Chat: And this is how you gained 5kg weight… Miyabi: Stop it everyone! It’s supposed to be membership-only secrets!
In the end, he admitted it and said he would like do a diet. He said if there’s a convenient store nearby, Temma will definitely go there too but alas there’s none near his house.
・The mallow asked him what does he likes from Temma.
Since it’s embarrassing for him, Miyabi decided to keep the answer in membership-only content. Instead, he told the viewer to ask Temma what does he likes from Miyabi.
・The mallow asked what kind of clothing does he usually wear when going outside, and who’s the most stylish out of all Holostars members
Miyabi said he often wears parker and mentioned how he likes checkered pattern. His pants and shirts are mostly checkered. (Tho, not all full-checkered) He also used to wear jeans, but the jeans he bought last year no longer fit him and realized that he’s gaining weight. As for the stylish member, he mentioned Astel is a stylish one. He also mentioned Shien is also stylish, but both Astel’s and Shien’s style are different kind of stylish. Aru-san’s is just Aru-san-like. He doesn’t know much about Temma’s yet, since the two rarely met offline. Miyabi said how Shien’s style is able to bring out his personality with a sense of adultness and not too eye-catching. The other day when they both went out, Miyabi saw the sneaker Shien was wearing and it was white-purple, and he felt a strong Kageyama Shien-ness from it. In the end, he keep glaring at Shien’s shoe. Miyabi said he likes shoes. When he wanted to ask Shien where did he bought the shoe so he can bought the red-yellow one, chat told him that it was a birthday gift from his fans. When chat asked about shoe size, he refused to tell it since he doesn’t want people get surprised if they knew his shoe size is bigger or smaller than what they imagined.
To conclude the answer about what does he wear when he goes out, normally he doesn’t go out much either so there’s not much of it. He mentioned that he has about another 9 of the same white shirt he’s wearing right now and regularly changed it based on time and circumstances (refers to his 2D model, not his rl shirt)
Chat suggested him to buy outfits online. Miyabi said that if he were to buy clothing, especially shoes, online we can’t measure out the size for our size. Shoe size can also change depends on the maker/designer. He doesn’t do online shopping unless for things he really wanted.
He likes Nikes. When he was gonna search for a particular item, he didn’t realized his browser was on the stream screen. He panicked and quickly closed it, and said that now everyone knows he usually uses Yahoo search engine.
・The mallow asked about is his character setting of not being able to be 18 is the same being forever 17
Miyabi said it’s a very important question. If he told about it, he might be erased from this world. He leave to viewer’s own imagination.
・The mallow asked does he likes chocolate mint or not. Miyabi: Now then, question! Does Hanasaki Miyabi likes chocolate mint or not!
*drums roll*
Miyabi: The correct answer is………………………..I really really like it!
When he goes to Baskin Robbins, he usually orders chocolate mint too. Chat: Then, that means I need to fight Miyabi Miyabi: Why?! I don’t want a fight. Will this be a world-scale war?
Some chats said that they really hate chocolate mint, and Miyabi said that it’s not nice to bluntly said show your hate, especially if they’ve never tasted it before. Chat linked it with coriander (teasing about Miyabi’s curry topping stream) and Miyabi said coriander gave him another different punch that sent him straight into a temple. When chat said that he will someday conquer coriander too, he’ll maybe try going into temple and eat it there to see if he can do it. Or other alternatives of eating stuff based on coriander and not eating it straight as a topping, just like there are people who didn’t like the actual tomato but are fond of tomato sauce.
Chat: I’ll be waiting for the coriander picnic at temple Miyabi: I need to search for temples that can support streaming first then ww
・This marshmallow asked what words he usually use when he does egosa.
Miyabi checked his recent search bar in twitter and mentioned (Momoko Blossom).
When he checked the Momoko Blossom word, his eyes fell upon a fanart that depicts Momoko Blossom gijinka and showed it on stream. He said its really really cute and showed his Miyabi-ness, especially the ribbon part. He decided to RT and liked it. He also wanted to see more gijinka of other forest residents too. Miyabi mentioned that he always like gijinkas. He showed another cute fanart on stream and thanked the author.
・The mallow asked whether Miyabi is a streamer that tends to remember his fans or not.
Miyabi said that he quickly forget people’s names, but if the person came to his stream a lot and commented, he’ll tend to remember them. Also people who mutter on Twitter a lot, draws fanart, and other stuff. If he see a new name on his stream he will know that they’re newcomers too. He encouraged people to comment more during his streams so he can remember their names.
Chat also mentioned that they usually remember other viewers’ names.
・The next mallow: I love you, Miyabi
What did you eat for dinner yesterday?
Miyabi answered that he ate Jiro Instant Ramen at 3 am, but he can’t remember what he ate for dinner. He’s able to remember Jiro Ramen because it left a huge guilty feeling in him for eating it at midnight and could possibly make him gain more weight, especially he’ll sleep after that. Miyabi mentioned that Jiro Ramen also has vegetables in it. A chat said that sleeping after you fill your tummy is the best and Miyabi agrees. Apparently he drinks all the soup too and is guilty for adding up more fat for him to burn.
A chat recommended him to store the soup for the next day and then add rice and eggs on it, and said it’s enough for 2 portions. Miyabi said it’s a great idea and will try it next time.
・The next mallow asked is it annoying to send a letter to him every month.
Miyabi answered not at all, in fact he wants fans to send him one every day. Chat said that the letters are most probably gonna be compiled and sent at the same day. Imagining that, Miyabi becomes a bit scared. A chat asked whether the content of the letter will be checked by management before it reached him, and he answered yes. So there are instances that if management finds the letter dangerous, they might block the sender. Temma and Shien had told him about how great season-based letters are and Miyabi agrees. He mentioned that his letter will be compiled in the office and sent to him once every 3-4 months. He said that the last time he received his new batch of letters is a week or two weeks ago (judging from this stream’s date, it’s probably about April 1st or March 25th) and the letters he received that time were new year greetings. And so, if fans wanted to send regular letters, he suggested sending it every 3-4 months. He mentioned that his, along with Holostars, will have 2nd anniversary soon and he said he will receive a batch of letters that time too.
・Next mallow asked him about foods he recently hooked into.
Miyabi answered that lately he’s been buying soy milk. When couldn’t finish all the milk, he’ll put them in dishes like hamburg and annin tofu. He’s been trying to make soy milk-based dishes. A chat asked what does soy milk taste like, and Miyabi described it as tofu being squished and mixed with a bit of sugar. He also said soy milk hot pot is great. It’s a hot pot with a soup of soy milk with consommé, with chicken breast meat and Chinese cabbage put in it, also put a bit(?) of cheese in it and it’ll be super delicious. He reminded us that we shouldn’t put too much cheese for such a healthy dish. He said he’s been trying to cook by himself lately and made omurice, tho the dish he’s good at making right now is still instant cup ramen. He really likes cheese and would put them into hot pots, mentioned how it’ll taste great with tomato hot pot. He tried to not do that too much, thought.
He shared a story of where he tried experimenting what ingredientsb suits pasta more to his liking, and found out about ochazuke-no-moto pasta recipe. He claimed it as delicious and everyone should try it too. After you boil the pasta and drain the water, you put it in ochazuke-no-moto soup and warm it. It’s also cheap. He said he made it a lot when he was in middle school, but not recently.
・The next mallow asked about Miyabi’s first impression on other Holostars members, like their fashion impression. They also wanted to know Miyabi’s fashion as well.
Miyabi said that the first Holostars member he had met offline was Roberu. He described his first impression on Roberu as… still Roberu. When he was alone waiting for everyone while looking at his phone, Roberu suddenly greeted him with his usual tone, while Miyabi was all surprised and greeted politely. The next member he met was Rikka and Aru-san. He described Aru-san as… still Aru-san. His character model wear a pretty uniform-like clothing, but the offline Aru-san he saw wore a more free style clothes and Miyabi thought “So Aru-san can dress like this too.” He also wore masks and glasses and to Miyabi it was a bit scary and didn’t believe it was Aru-san at first ww Rikka’s is just Rikka. The next members he met is Astel. Miyabi said he was scared when meeting him at first “This is… the aura of an extrovert! This is bad!” Miyabi’s introvert radar rang danger signs ww But after Miyabi talked a bit with him, he realized Astel is stil Astel. On the way home, he got on the same train as Astel and talked about the future for a bit until they both reached their own destination. The next member is Shiepi. He said he likes Shiepi the most. They both likes the same thing and able to talk about the hobby, and Miyabi could talk with Shien more easily. He could feel more calmer when he was talking and being beside Shiepi. The last members he met are Izuru, Temma, and Oga. Miyabi described Izuru as the one who is much kinder and calmer than others. Mentioned how Astel Izuru are usually loud when they stream together, but offline Izuru is very quiet, he’s like a cat. Sometimes Izuru whispered to him that the town is scary, and Miyabi finds it cute. Miyabi said his walking pace is fairly slow, Izuru would sometimes turn at him and asked if he’s tired. Even after Miyabi told him to go on ahead, Izuru adjust his pace and walk along with Miyabi. It is a surprising side to him. As for Oga, Miyabi described him as someone who has big bro energy. His build is big too, but despite that he keeps tries to keep talking in a friendly matter to Miyabi, and is very kind. The last is Temma, but he doesn’t really understand him yet. When he first met him offline, Temma was very nervous and he couldn’t talk much with him. Miyabi mentioned that he met offline with the others are not personal, and was actually a Holostars offline meeting, so he didn’t have much time alone with Temma to understand him further. When he glanced at Temma, he always looked like his gaze was heading towards somewhere far away. He was shaking in the corner. Miyabi tried talking to him, but both of them were very nervous. Next time Holostars do an offline meeting again, Miyabi is determined to properly talk to him.
・The next mallow asked where would he go when Miyabi and Temma went outside together.
Miyabi said it’s probably restaurants and such. Mentioned that the only personal offline meeting experience he had was with Astel and Shien when they go to Disney together, and the only member that he met offline just the two of them is only Shien, watched the new Fate: Grand Order movie. With Temma, both are probably will be too nervous to talk to each other and made it awkward, so they’ll bring a third-party, Aru-san to come with them and have lunch together. He said it’ll be much more easier to talk if there’s more people.
・The next mallow asked Miyabi to beg cutely so the sender could give him pocket money and spoil him more and more.
He has a side of losing interest of doing something when he were told to do it, so he apologized that he won’t do it. He do likes and wants money but directly asking for it to his viewers felt wrong, so:
Miyabi: …Give me money, please. Ww
Chat: *Superchats Shower
Miyabi thanked all of the superchats and said he’ll use it as funds for Hanasaki Forest.
・The mallow sender noticed that there’s many bird-like creature in Hanasaki Forest and asked what kind of bird does Miyabi likes
Miyabi answered with bird thight, bird liver, bird skin, bird wings, parts of birds that could be eaten. Was surprised that they weren’t talking about birds to eat, but living birds in general ww
He said that a warbler has been living nearby his house and he often heard it’s chirps, and start liking warbler. He also likes penguin, chicks, and sparrow. He likes cool-looking birds like eagle and owl. He mentioned that when he was still in elementary school, he kept a pretty big peacock. It was gone when he graduated. He wanted to try eating a big fried egg using ostrich eggs and wondered how many servings he could make with just using one egg.
・Next mallow sender noticed how Miyabi chooses his word carefully in minds of the person he talked to and could sense kindness from it and is awed by it. They asked whether that kindness of him is just natural or he tried to be as careful as possible when talking to people, and said they wanted to communicate to people as kind as him.
Miyabi said that it could be coming naturally from him, but there’s one point in his life that made scared of people to the point he couldn’t go outside of his home. That made him developed a personality that tries to observe the person he’s talking and finds out what could possibly make this person happy and sad and angry, and tries to blend in with the people around him. He don’t know if this could be called kindness, since all he wants to do is get along with everyone and don’t want any fights. He has confident that he can befriend newcomers easily with this trait and he might be the best to read the room. He said by being afraid of people and observing them that probably we could get less fearful of them.
But because of this, he also said that collabing with Holostars members are quiet difficult. But he decided that it’s fine for him and thought that it’s one of the good part of Holostars.
・The next mallow mentioned that Miyabi always changed his (L2D) outfit not bounded by the current season and asked if there’s any particular reason when he wanted to change outfit, or is it just depends on his mood.
Miyabi said that he didn’t think much of it. He decided on the spot what kind of outfit he’ll use before stream starts. Tho there are times where he wanted to fit his outfit with the theme of his stream, like marshmallow reading such as this might draws in more new viewers who is curious of him so he want to wear his default outfit, or when he plays horror games he’ll use casual clothing like his summer outfit to give a feeling that he’s playing at home.
That was the last mallow! He said that it’s still not enough and he plans to do more at a later date. There are still many mysteries of him that he himself still doesn’t know too. For those who want to know more of Hanasaki Miyabi’s charm, he encouraged you to watch his streams more.
 Thank you for reading~

exceedingly slight annoyance
I wish the Dev QnA wasn't dead, if only for the lore tidbits.
For example, the Encyclopedia Lorebook "Epilogue: Flight Rising" says that
The Eleven founded their eventual homes around the largest slabs of the Pillar that had come to rest across the realm. Although separated and cloistered, they still held a powerful connection to the monument that once shielded their world from darkness.
And also that
These new denizens dedicated their lives to protecting their piece of the Pillar, and preserving the strength and significance of their element.
And just in case you didn't think it was important, they repeat themselves
These denizens dedicated their lives to protecting their piece of the ruined column, and preserving the strength and significance of their element.
BUT. Hello! The last three Gods never slept in the Pillar! The Eleven? You mean the Eight! They don't have any slabs! Obviously that leaves "preserving the strength and significance of their element" as their cause... which is cool, I suppose. We've got *glances at notes* big plant enthusiast flight, the landscape is rotting flesh flight, and vaguely-sorta-radioactive coded space magic curiosity to the point of causing an apocalypse flight. Yeah, the world just wouldn't be the same without you guys.
Does being from an entirely different, more recent Age affect these flights at all? How they're perceived by others? Do the older flights/gods think of the younger ones as reckless and untempered by experience? Does the Earthshaker blame the Arcanist for kinda causing he and his siblings' separation, which he seemed pretty broken up about?
Do the Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer both resent the awakening of these other, older Gods, and miss when they could just duke it out with their singular opponent, and (presumably) being equally matched, own half of the world, rather than.. 1/11th?
Does the Arcanist spend his time gazing out into the cosmos in part because he feels no particular affiliation to the planet he resides on? He didn't create it, he didn't protect it. He spawned into existence, looked around for a day or two, said "well, I know everything about this boring rock" and discovered his true calling was staring into space.
And, hell, what's up with the slabs from the flights that do have them? Do dragons make pilgrimages to the (remains of) The Pillar of the World? Is there a museum where Light's piece is? Did the Flamecaller melt hers in that giant volcano and that's why shit's gone awry there lately? Did Shadowbinder throw hers in the trash hide it in the Forum of the Obscured Crescent?
I mean, I can headcanon whatever the hell I want to and roll with it, but every now and then I wonder what the people behind the base lore I'm using would think of these questions.

vevila qna for author!! is there a gg or comeback that vevila’s concept would be similar to? outfit/song wise? i’ve been thinking of the rum pum pum (minju, wonyoung, yujin, yeji and miyeon) stage & ive elven in terms of outfits for some reason 🤓
ooo i love this question!! okay,, there are a few for me, including ive's eleven outfits!! one of them would be mafia in the morning, as far as outfits and overall concept of the video and song!! twice fancy is another one!! definitely a sweeter concept but it definitely fits them, along with the feels!! last one would be red velvet, russian roulette!! both the song and the mv concept, i feel like it fits them well!

the programme is over, i’m at peace, at least for today. a couple of participants thanked me and the speaker
nearly went breathless when i had to speak because of the anxiety but tried to pace myself
didn’t handle the QnA segment as i could have since i was panicking so much. public speaking is a lot easier over a screen as opposed to a live venue though. for the most part, no one can tell i’m anxious — don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing because then people never take me seriously when i confess to being deathly afraid of public speaking. but it’s obvious: there’ll be a lot of repetition and redundancy in my language
went out for lunch with family and then grocery shopping to prep for steamboat and fell asleep in the car because i was so exhausted from work
had a fantastic steamboat dinner with family. it’s always so much fun and we laugh a lot. kidbro and i couldn’t stop trading double eleven lazada ADDEU TO CARTEU NOW and 12 12 happy bday shopee jokes over the dining table
strummed the ukulele for fun again. dad walked past my room and tossed twenty cents at me. then mom walked by and tossed a fifty dollar note at me before taking it back quickly. my parents are trolls
i’m afraid i won’t have all this one day. the reason i’ve craved companionship is probably because i come from a fairly stable and mostly loving family; sure we have our crazy moments, and i’m pretty sure i thought about running away from home as a kid/teen, but now i’m always haunted by this feeling that my time with them is limited and i want to us to have fun — that’s pretty much it
i struggle to read even short stories these days. maybe i need to check out some contemporary poetry to get into the groove of reading again. i’m just so busy and tired all the time and i never get to spend enough time by myself
earlier i was typing this work-email when mom came up behind me and said ‘oh JFK’ and i said ‘what’ without turning said and she said ‘it came from JFK — might have covid’ and i said ‘JFK? as in the airport?’ and she said ‘yes’ and i asked ‘what came from the airport?’ and she said ‘turn around’ and she was holding on to what looked like a white shoebox, except it had a ‘tarte’ sticker on it. i took out the eyeshadow palette i had bought her and she seemed pleased; this was one of the loveliest moments all week

WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND August 9, 2019  - ONE CHILD NATION, VISION PORTRAITS, PEANUT BUTTER FALCON and lots more!
For this week’s column, I’m going to put a little more focus on two excellent documentaries out this week, even though there’s a few narratives worth checking out, as well..
Tumblr media
The first doc I want to talk about is Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang’s ONE CHILD NATION  (Amazon Studios), an amazing look at the edict by the Chinese government in the ‘80s --  one that ran right up until fairly recently -- which pushed for families to only have one child in order to help the country’s struggling economy. The idea is that the less children to feed, the further resources can be spread. This “suggestion” was one that became a huge problem for families as young women were being kidnapped and sterilized after having one child and some families had to give up their second child for adoption, often against their own desires... though they were also given much needed money and food.  It’s an edict that becomes even more nefarious when you consider that women are having important personal decisions about having children being made for them by the government. (Sound familiar?) The running storyline through the movie involves a teen girl, whose twin was taken away for adoption when she was very young, as the filmmakers help her reconnect with her now-teen twin in America. Her story is so moving that if the two of them were actually reunited in the film, I probably would have broken down and had one of the ugliest cries I’ve ever had during a movie. As it it, it’s already a heartbreaking and emotional film with the situation so well portrayed by the two filmmakers, and it’s a movie I connected to from my osmosis having lived in Chinatown for 26 years.
I imagine it will be on Amazon relatively soon, but if you’re a fan of great documentary filmmaking, you might want to seek this out in New York (at the Film Forum), Boston, L.A. and other cities this weekend.
Tumblr media
I next want to talk about Rodney Evans’ VISION PORTRAITS (Stimulus Pictures), which opens exclusively at the Metrograph following its premiere at SXSW earlier this year.
Not many people know this but a little over a year ago, I was dealing with my own vision problems where I had a scratched retina from shingles, but I was also having trouble with deteriorating vision in both eyes. I’m actually surprised that more of my editors didn’t ask me about why most of the pieces I submitted were zoomed in 175-250% as my eyesight got worse, but it was getting to the point where I wouldn’t be able to read any black writing on white background and had trouble reading some comics when letterers got a bit too creative with the word balloons. It got pretty serious until last year when an opthomologist suggested I get cataract surgery.
Filmmaker Rodney Evans has been dealing with his eyesight problems for years, but they had been getting worse as his filmmaking career progress. In a moment of introspection, he decided to interview other artists with vision impairment to see how they deal with it while making their art. These include dancer/choreographer Kayla Hamilton, writer Ryan Knighton and photograph John Dugdale, as the film also follows Evans own path in order to get a procedure to help alleviate his blindness.
The film is fascinating, especially the idea of “passing” as sighted, something I had to deal with during my own declining eyesight. (BTW, I’m fine now as I had that cataract surgery and I now wear reading glasses for most computer/phone activities.)
Evans will be at the Metrograph all weekend doing QnAs for his film with a number of special guests (including Winter’s Bone director Debra Granik on Sunday!) so if you’re interested in knowing more about how those with vision problems can still be creative artists, this is worth checking out. It’s not a sexy movie, but it’s an important one. It will open in L.A. at the Laemmle Royal on August 23.
youtube
I also want to mention that Garret Price’s doc Love, Antosha will open in New York at the Quad Cinema on Friday, and if you were ever a fan of actor Anton Yelchin, then this amazing doc with interviews with so many of the filmmakers and other actors he’s worked with is heartbreaking but essential. It’s an amazing list that even includes Nicolas Cage reading letters from Anton to his mother – brilliantly, no less -- but it’s also wonderful to hear such wonderful things about Yelchin from those who worked with him and called him friend.
Also, if you haven’t had a chance to see Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am, now’s a good time to learn more about this amazing author who passed away earlier this week. It’s still playing in select cities but hopefully Magnolia Pictures will be able to get it out to more theaters with her passing.
There’s a LOT of wide releases this week, and it’s a pretty mixed bag. I’ve seen three of the movies, and one of the ones I liked I can say that I liked it – the other one is under embargo. I guess it might be more obvious which is which when my reviews turn up at The Beat later this week.
Tumblr media
I will say that I enjoyed Tom Shadyac’s BRIAN BANKS (Bleecker Street), starring Aldis Hodges and Greg Kinnear, quite a bit, since I have friends in prison who have dealt with the broken justice system where it’s easier to make a plea deal and prevent many hours in court with lawyer hours billed. Banks was a Long Beach, California high school football star who was accused of rape. Although the allegations were false, he takes a deal and gets thrown in jail for eleven years, destroying his dreams of being in the NFL. Out on probation, Banks tries to get his football career going again but discovers that the limitations of his probation and a GPS ankle bracelet makes it impossible, as well as impossible to get a job. He turns to a lawyer with a group who works on getting those falsely accused exonerated and begins an uphill battle against the California justice system. The movie is quite meaningful and inspirational to watch Banks’ story being told with Hodges giving an excellent performance as the football player. I never knew about Banks, so I was fascinated by the film, although I’m sure there will be cynical people out there who feel that this is a cooking cutter legal film that doesn’t have the dramatic fireworks of other such films. I actually liked that Shadyac, who had nearly retired from the business after making low-brow comedies like Ace Ventura, Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty, would return to tell something that’s more meaningful and important. I’m just not sure if anyone will want to pay to see this in theaters, so its wide release is fairly risky, but it’s a worthwhile venture for sure.
I’m not sure I’ll ever get around to seeing Paramount’s DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD, just ‘cause I’ve never watched the Nickelodeon cartoon, although it certainly looks cute, and I always love seeing Michael Peña (Ant-Man) and Isabela Moner was amazing in last year’s Instant Family. I guess I’ll see if I can get to this eventually, but it’s not a priority for me.
While I can’t say much about the Guillermo del Toro-produced André Øvredal-directed SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK (CBS Films/Lionsgate) due to a review embargo, it’s based on the (apparently controversial) young adult horror novel series of the ‘80s, featuring a cast of younger newcomers like Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush and Austin Zajur. I guess I can say that fans of old school horror films will probably like the use of practical FX in creating the creatures of urban legend, giving the movie a nostalgia factor we don’t frequently see in modern horror films.
I’ll have an interview with Øvredal later in the week, as well as a review, both over at The Beat.
I never read the Vertigo Comics series THE KITCHEN (New Line) when it was first published in 2014, but it offers an interesting premise of women taking over the Irish mob in 1978 Hell’s Kitchen, New York with three fantastic actors in Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss. You’ll have to wait for my review later today to see if it works or not, but you can read my interview with filmmaker Andrea Berloff right here.
I also haven’t read the novel THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN, which has been adapted by Fox starring Amanda Seyfried, Milo Ventimiglia with Kevin Costner voicing a dog, but I haven’t seen any of the dog movies this year, so this one won’t be the exception.
You can read my thoughts on the box office of the five movies above over at The Beat.
LIMITED RELEASES
Tumblr media
Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz’s PEANUT BUTTER FALCON (Roadside Attractions/Armory Films/Endevor Content) was a nice surprise that premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. The idea of Shia Labeouf and Dakota Johnson (from the “50 Shades” movies) on a road trip with a young man with Downs’ Sydrome (breakout star Zack Gottsagen) sounds like it could be absolutely horrifying, so imagine my surprise when this turned out to be fairly warm and wonderful and actually quite funny. A lot of that comes from Gottsagen who is quite funny, and the movie allows you to laugh with him rather than at him, which is sometimes the case with movies involving mental disabilities. It’s a very enjoyable film that might have some appeal to wrestling fans – the title of the movie is Zack’s wrestling name and his goal is to get to a wrestling school run by Thomas Hayden Church. But there are some fun wrestling cameos in the movie as well. Maybe it’s no surprise that it actually won the Audience Award at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, as well.
It’s opening in New York, L.A. and a couple other cities like Austin, Dallas and others on Friday. For transparency, my friend Susan McPhail has a small role in the movie…but I liked the movie anyway :)
I was definitely intrigued by Bart Freundlich’s AFTER THE WEDDING (Sony Pictures Classics), which premiered at Sundance and starred Michelle Williams and Freundlich’s wife Julianne Moore in a gender-twist on the Susanne Bier movie of the same name from 2006, which starred Mads Mikkelsen, who was excellent in the movie. Williams and Moore are also very good in this movie which has Williams as a woman working with underprivileged orphans in India who travels to New York to meet with the CEO of a business looking to invest money in the program. Once there, she’s invited to a wedding, only to learn that the father of the groom is a former boyfriend (played by Billy Crudup). I’m not sure how much more I can say about the developments that occur, because they might be somewhat surprising if you haven’t seen the original movie but it leads to some high drama with Freundlich continuing his streak from the underrated Wolves a few years back. This opens in New York and L.A. this Friday.
Casey Affleck’s third movie as a director, LIGHT OF MY LIFE, might have gotten a festival release or a better theatrical release than the one normally given by Saban Films, but the allegations against him and the whole #MeToo movement has probably made it harder to sell the movie, especially with the filmmaker/star not doing interviews.
Tom Donahue’s doc THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING (Good Deed Entertainment),o opening at the IFC Center and in L.A., features some of the prominent female voices in Hollywood talking about the underrepresentation (and underpayment) of women in the movie industry. The film includes an amazing roster includes Geena Davis, also one of the film’s exec. producers, Marisa Tomei, Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep, Rashida Jones and many, many more, and hearing what they have to say about their experiences in the industry is very enlightening and important.
Hari Sama’s THIS IS NOT BERLIN (Samuel Goldwyn), opening in New York at the IFC Center this Friday and in L.A. on August 23 is an intriguing coming of age film set in 1986 Mexico City, which harks back to Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma last year. It involves a seventeen-year old named Carlos (played by Xabiani Ponce de Léon) who doesn’t fit in but starts finding himself when he gets involved in the post-punk scene at a nightclub, although his best friend Gera (José Antonio Toledano) has trouble adjusting, causing fiction in the friendship.
In many ways, this remined more of Cuaron’s earlier film Y Tu Mama Tambien, although it’s a little more erratic in terms of tone, as well as being somewhat predictable about where things might go wrong. What’s especially interesting is the exploration of sexuality by the two friends in the movie and how that is affected as they go further down a rabbit hole of drugs and depravity.  The movie also stars Roma’s Marina de Tavira as Carlos’ mother, and while it probably won’t be for everyone, Sama offers a great new voice on the international filmmaking circuit.
Martin Freeman and Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) star in Jason Winer’s rom-com ODE TO JOY (IFC Films), which opens in select cities and On Demand this Friday. In it, Freeman plays a man suffering from narcolepsy who tries to overcome it when he falls in love. Also starring Melissa Rauch, Jake Lacy, Jane Curtin and more.
Lastly, Robi Michael’s psychological thriller Every Time I Die (Gravitas Ventures) stars Drew Fonteiro as a man who is murdered at a lake sending his consciousness travelling through the bodies of friends to warn them of the killer. Very high concept indeed...
STREAMING AND CABLE
As far as Netflix this week, I am looking forward to seeing the new crime and martial arts series WU ASSASSINS, starring Iko Uwais from The Raid and more recently, Stuber, which will debut on Thursday. There’s a lot of great martial arts talent in the movie including Mark Dacascos as well as Summer Glau from Firefly, so this should be a fun show. I’m even MORE excited for return of the series GLOW for its third season this Friday with Geena Davis being added to the mix. I love this show, maybe because I remember watching GLOW so fondly in the ‘80s.
REPERTORY
METROGRAPH (NYC):
As part of the ongoing Juraj Herz, retrospective of the Czech genre filmmaker, the Metrograph is premiering a new 4k restoration of his 1969 black and film The Cremator starting Friday, although the series will end on Thursday. This Friday and Saturday, the series will screen the 1964 classic Band of Outsiders. This week’s Late Nites at Metrograph is Seijun Suzuki’s 1966 Yakuza crime-thriller Tokyo Drifterand the weekend’s Playtime: Family Matinees is Joe Johnston’s 1989 Disney family comedy Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, starring Rick Moranis. Also this Thursday is the latest installment of The Academy at Metrograph with the Oscar-nominated Mexican film Like Water from Chocolate (1992) with director Alfonso Arau in person. There are still some seats available but it might be sold out by the time you read this.
THE NEW BEVERLY  (L.A.):
Tarantino’s rep theater continues to mostly be booked up with mostly sold out shows of his ninth film Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, although the Weds matinee is the Rock Hudson/Doris Day classic Pillow Talk (1959)and the weekend’s KIDDEE MATINEE is Norman Tokar’s Sammy, the Way Out Seal from 1963.  Saturday morning is also the latest installment of the Bev’s “Cartoon Club.” Monday’s matinee is Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsidersfrom 1983.

The AERO gets in on the retrospective bandwagon of one of Iran’s most respected filmmakers with “A Taste of Kiarostami,” beginning on Thursday with the late filmmaker’s recent films Like Someone in Love (2012) and 24 Frames (2017), Friday’s double feature is Taste of Cherry  (1997) and Ten (2002) and then Saturday is Close-Up  (1990) and The Wind Will Carry Us (1999) – most of these include a short, as well. The series concludes on Sunday with a triple feature of Abbas Kiarostami’s Koker Trilogy: Where is My Friend’s House?  (1987), And Life Goes On (1992) and Through the Olive Trees (1994). I’ll be perfectly honest that my knowledge of Kiarostami is not what it should be, but hopefully those in L.A. will check out some of these movies even if they don’t get the amazing Godfrey Cheshire hosting them.
Wednesday’s installment of the “Greg Proops Film Club” is a screening of Babette’s Feast and the AERO is getting in on the midnight movie craze on Friday night by showing David Lynch’s 1977 Eraserhead in conjunction with “Cinematic Void.”

The Values Of Instructional Design In The Investment Decision Business
Todd: Juanita 1st of all I want to say many thanks for the interview. I would say my storyline in straightforward conditions is how three good friends with all unique presents type a strategy to catch a extremely intelligent serial killer. It also entails a serial killer that is instructional design certificate extremely distinct from the typical mainstream predator. Questions 5, six and seven issue your progress by means of the program. Fluttering a cursor throughout a monitor like a drunken butterfly is lousy training. The instruction instructional design certificate should consist of specific breaks and "homework" that you can post so that the two you and the instruction provider can check out your development and advise motion to get you "back on keep track of" if needed. Exterior assistance assets rarely do this very well. When speaking about the building of deliverables, there is a likelyhood you will learn in a paper-centered generally module, workshop, and even an online module. Yet, in essence the most essential type includes the objectives, context, info, interactivity, utility, nicely summary finally . Irrespective of, no matter whether or not you selected the strategy of Http://Bzen.Co.Kr/Index.Php?Mid=QnA&Document_Srl=2617339 course of-pushed, setting up blocks, best factors, or chronological, assure that it fully matches with the item no significance deliverables. The basic framework of an fantastic mixture is produced out of an utmost support to give optimum understanding for learners who desire to be taught equally with the enable of an exploratory or else on-demand from customers way. She described a number of forms of scanners - eleven in all. In her ebook, she very first can help to recognize if you are, certainly, a scanner and proceeds to aid you establish how finest to make you happy. She gives ideas for a software kit, daily life Http://Bzen.Co.Kr/Index.Php?Mid=QnA&Document_Srl=2617339 models and potential profession ideas. For case in point, the 'Double Agent' scanner-sort is torn involving undertaking the correct thing and dwelling his dreams. 1 alternative would seem to break his heart or will break a different's. He would like to review animals by dwelling in Africa but thinks he wants to move back property to treatment for ageing dad and mom. There's almost nothing like a roadmap when you will need to go from concept to finished presentation. If you're checking out a presentation company that phone calls everything a blueprint when it's genuinely just a checklist, you ought to keep wanting. I have started out my very own consulting small business. I have build my site from scratch, which was a large task because I utilised to be the boss and could say "make it so" to my workers and poof it appeared. But this has been a good self confidence builder for me to learn how simple or tricky some duties are in the world wide web world. These concerns may possibly be beneficial in the analysis. Does the person your are designing a present for commonly don a great deal of jewellery? When the human being wears jewellery, do they decide on large or tiny pieces? What color does the particular person most generally put on? Do you know their birthstone? When sporting jewellery, does the person most often pick gold or silver? I came to Houston in '97 to function for Compaq. It altered significantly Http://Bzen.Co.Kr/Index.Php?Mid=QnA&Document_Srl=2617339 so in 2000 I went to perform for a startup of primarily ex-Compaq people. Several explained to me I was nuts to leave Compaq. I assessment the assignment, and give extremely in depth opinions. Most important to me is mastery. So, when the college students don't do nicely, I give them the option to revise their operate or start off anew. Then, I review that, give suggestions and occasionally even now need to have to give them time for a 3rd revision. If you were making ready surgeons to run for the initially time: this is what you would do. That's my intention. I want these college students inarguably nicely prepared, so they get the work they want and they realize success. 2) Tax Credits - You may possibly be in a position to acquire edge of tax credits for returning to university for a diploma. Note
Hey
This is like the first time I'm writing an ask on Tumblr or interact in any way with anyone on here. I just wanted to let you know that there is at least one person out there that cares.
Ok, bear with me.
I read your suicide note and found your blog while searching for sh art pics (don't judge, I sh myself and idk sometimes it's kind of comforting). Sorry for referencing the note but I read it and just wanted you to know that there is someone out there.
I know you don't know me and I don't know you. We're just strangers on a weird app. I also know how fucked up your mind can become when you're suicidal (I relate) so I don't want or need my text to make you feel better or cure anything or sth. Idk I think I'm rambling - sorry.
I just wanted you to know that your art helped me feel not so alone. I am really glad that you survived your attempt and I feel for you and for your situation. There is nothing I can say to make you feel better. Living just sucks and I just hope the good (or ok) days will someday outnumber the bad.
Idk if this was weird or not. I just wanted to write you a little something. Sorry for swearing. You don't have to replay/feel obligated to. Please don't feel pressured or stressed out about that. I don't need anything in return. I just wanted to let you know this (even though it's a little all over the place, sorry)
oh this is super sweet anon.. i cried twice while reading this, thank you so so so much.. i was having a bad day when i opened my inbox and im so glad i opened it in the first place.
