I think there’s some real untapped comedy potential between Imperium and the Ninja’s crazy abilities and history.

Like, the Ninja can summon elemental dragons. Does anyone remember that? Conquering their fears and summoning dragons? This is like, prime bait and switch material here.

Picture this. Imperium is trying to steal dragons. They found a horde of them and started trapping. The Ninja show up, save the day, etc etc, and Kai gets the brilliant idea to summon his elemental dragon. Imperium people have never in their life seen an elemental dragon. Far as they’re concerned, its just a cool looking dragon. Its one the Ninja seem to like, so they all target it.

All of the dragons escape. Except for this red fire dragon. The Ninja leave without it. Score! They’ve at least got one dragon to take home, and its a funky new kind of dragon! So they pack it up and start to head back and where the fuck did the dragon go. What do you mean it VANISHED INTO THIN AIR. What do you mean it DISSIPATED. Is it invisible?  Nope, it’s just. Gone. Completely. Poof. Did it teleport? Can dragons teleport? When was that a thing dragons could do. How. What the fuck. 

This happens four more times before all of Imperium starts avoiding shifty magical looking dragons like the plague, no matter how many normal ones are around. They don’t mess with spooky teleporting dragons, no THANK YOU

Deep Elemental Dragon, by Creep Cat Toy Company

So we know, how elemental dragons change their look, depending on influences/corruptions of their Creator. We see this with Lloyd‘s dragon when he is possessed by Morro and Boreal, when Zane is corrupted by the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu. Now with shatterspin being referred to as a corrupted fighting technique in the trailer, would that mean that if Cinder was to summon an elemental dragon, it would also have a different design. So for example these red lightnings, that seem to be part of shatterspin. idk, just something that popped into my head.

Some more doodles from my work, featuring a breath of my original characters in concepts.

First is FET, whom I have been using as a self insert for a while, though she is also her own character. She's got a shapeshifting thing going on, which can't fully be perfect, as she always seems to sprout the antenna/horns over her right eye, no matter what her form. I'll go into more about her eventually, but one thing I'll say is she is kinda like a USB if a universe was a computer, and she is tasked with extracting characters at the behest of a demigod of fate and death.

Next is an ice dragon, which isn't as forward a concept as you would think. In FET's universe, there are elementals that can be conjured into physical form via making a vessel for them, and inserting a charged color object (probably a ZG crystal) into it. There are 26 different elements that correspond to the alphabet, and among certain cultures, it is important to find the opposite elemental to that of your name. Since FET's name element is Fire, Ice is her balanced opposite, and thus she conjured this guy by sculpting a dragon skull and putting a charged ZG crystal within. Elementals do not have to form into dragons, they more so take on the form of whatever vessel they are put into.

Finally are the Guardian Angels/Patrons, which are the mirror opposite to the Elementals. While the Elementals could be synonym with emotions or the right brain, the Angels are math and left brain oriented. They are formed when consciousness, which in FET's universe is almost like dark matter, is trapped inside the middle space of a collapsing worm hole. The resulting entity takes the form of a geometric concept, and are analytical beings. Among them, they are themselves immortal, but know the paradox of infinity. As they cannot compute being divided by zero, they seek to become a patron with a living being, which will then tie their fates together. The host will no longer age, being immortal, but not invincible. Once the host dies, the Angel will die as well, which is their main goal; to experience death, the final equation. I originally envisioned that they would get their headless bodies and glassy wings once they are tied to a person, but I'm still work-shopping that idea. I at least know the wing color will correspond to the elemental opposite of the host. FET has a patron, not pictured, she has named Chestnut. He's similar in shape to the main Angel pictured, but with a cube head (he had light blue glassy wings).

God, I'm getting old, I really need to start getting the concepts and ideas for my planet, Molonara, out there (which if you've ever wondered, that is why my blog is called this, been creating this for years)

Posting another archived art piece from a while ago. Some concept art I did focusing on the elemental dragons, merging their original designs from the pilots with traditional features and aspects of the season 9 redesign.

This was definitely a fun project, and it's something that I want to attempt digitally at some point too, so we'll see.

Elemental Dragons in Mythology: History and Significance

I don't believe elemental dragons are true dragons. I remember elemental dragons from Dungeons & Dragons.

New blorbo time! Say hello to Krusa, they're an air / earth genasi warlock, with an icy theme~ I really wanted a needlessly opalescent character and they were the perfect subject for it. They also happen to be related to Relent, because that family tree is neverending

fdskjfhsa mourn watch rook who's somehow never once run into emmrich in all the time they've both been at the necropolis, but does discover after an offhanded comment in passing that they have performed an autopsy on one of lucanis' previous targets when he was hired to take out some nevarran nobleman or other. 'oh my god that was one of yours??? :D you know I thought the knife work rang a bell when I saw it again back in the ossuary, I should've realized right away. we get a lot of murdered pentaghasts in of course, big family with big ambitions it does become a bit of a blur at times, but few showing off such impressive technique, well done I must say. huh. it's a small thedas after all. he's buried down in the whispering halls just across from the storm age pentaghast family memorial, if you ever want to go by and say hi for old times' sake. how did you get the angle to sever the aorta so cleanly, by the way? I've been scratching my head over that one for a decade now I never thought I might actually get an answer from the crow's own beak as it were'
