hi!! i really love both water and electric types, but i’m wondering if it’s even ethical to raise them together considering their type dynamic. would the water pokemon get seriously hurt even if the electric pokemon didn’t use any moves?

Depends on the pokemon. If the electric type is careful, the water type will be safe. Many electric type pokemon can store their electricity, though, pokemon like Voltorb will sometimes explode which can release their electricity, and Muscrita pokemon (pkmn related to Pikachu) might need to release their excess electricity randomly. Pictures will sometimes release their electricity and have no control over it.

But, you can also train pokemon to release their electricity in the ground, and you can create a fast space for a Voltorb/Electrode. Plus, there's always Chinchou and Lantern.

Tldr; Yes, but some pokemon will be more dangerous than others

I work as a Pokemon Professor, focused on pokeanthropology, the study of how humans and Pokemon have interacted historically. I was invited to speak to a group of Rangers as I had just written my first book about the constant pattern of humans and Pokemon partnering to protect others, and I met Rai there. But we didn't really become more than acquaintances until I discovered an injured Shinx cub near my home and sought his advice on how to proceed on making sure it was save and cared for.

That's right!

I remember the speech on your topic. It was very well done.

Of course I was also just as happy to help with a Shinx, believe it or not but electric types are one of the quicker pokemon to recover.

The electric currents they generate also help their muscles restore themselves much faster, and can help in restoration of other functions.

I dont think they heal broken bones the same way, but injuries can be healed pretty quickly because if this.

I hope that Shinx is doing well.

Joltik Facts

-The scientific name for Joltik is "Theraphosa electrotela" which roughly translates to "electric-web little beast"

-Joltik eggs are the smallest of any pokemon eggs

-Joltik were once a lot more difficult to find in the wild due to their small size and the fact that not many places gave out electricity, so they're only outlet was clinging onto electric types. They became a lot more common in urban areas with the rise of electricity

-Joltik and Galvantula are related to the Ariados line

-While Joltik latch onto electric sources and will mostly live and sleep there, Joltik will make electric webs to rest and have a safe spot to lay their eggs

-Joltiks favorite pokemon to latch onto is Jolteon and Luxray

-Joltik can survive without food for two weeks (please don't test this out)

-When enough Joltik are gathered onto a host, the bites they give might be enough to paralyze the pokenon

-Joltik don't have any fuzz on their feet because it is usually shocked out of them repeteadly to the point it stops growing. This helps them stick to surfaces better

-Young Joltik will ride on their Galvantula mother's back to get around faster

-When touched, Joltik produce a small shock

Jolteon is sillyyyyyy I want to pet it and have one I genuinely can’t fully explain how cute I find it (I have a plush named Bottlecap)

Vaporeon is also adorable! It’s one of my friends favorites and I just wanna like ruffle it’s ear fins!

Flareon is also so silly! And probably warm to cuddle with tbh tbh

I imagine Espeon would act just like a cat……I want it…..

Umbreon is so cool omg like i think it was going to be a poison type and that’s so cool! Also two of my favorite plushes are Umbreons bc childhood me always held the shiny one when I was scared at night and put the other one on lookout bc they are nocturnal so could protect me! kiddo didn’t understand they couldn’t really but I’m sure to this day they did in a way of protected me from the fear I felt. Thank you to those two plushies who i still have placed looking at the bed on guard for me

Leafeon is next and it’s the one who I’ve been compared to the most and so goofy! I think i might just be a Leafeon with a bowtie tbh tbh!

Glaceon is really goofy like icy boiiiii I actually have a oc that has one as a service Pokémon
