She's obviously still a victim in what happens later but she also wished death on a child and felt no remorse, that's pretty reprehensible. She and Amon are both awful people, even if, later on at least, Amon is absolutely far worse and his horrible actions are unjustifiable.

here in the space station, there is no wind, no wildlife, or even the comforting sounds of a rushing river. twenty-two years on the ground taken for granted. a feeling of dread slowly sinks in, starting from her shoulders and ending in the pit of her stomach. she might never feel an organic world again.

" i don't know. " are all the words the warrior can form at this time. there has been much to process in the last seventy-two hours. her home is destroyed, her people SCATTERED, her beloved....dead just like the last inconclusive. displaced and surrounded by enemies would have been a challenge a her younger self would have jumped at the chance to conquer. now, she only feels sorrow and emptiness.

===== BIO:

After so long without the KDF or the Ascent actively working on defeating kaiju outside of major cities, and the growing threats posed by some of the kaiju, Eco-K decided that they'd make their first offensive mecha suit: the Ekou.

Rather than focusing on subduing kaiju through brawling and leathal force, Ekou instead uses massive speakers placed all over its body to disorient the kaiju, allowing it to subdue the kaiju without causing major damage to them. These sonic weapons were proven quite effective, as Naucrolus emerged from the ocean in Malaysia, Ekou being deployed to the region to combat the kaiju. On-the-scene footage shows the kaiju's eyes visibly unfocusing during the sound attacks, it look dizzier with each blast from the sound. As can also be seen, Ekou eventually walked away after defeating Naucrolus, dragging it back to sea.

It's currently unknown who built the mech, as it lacks the clear signs of being a Phantecka machine, and matches none of the other smaller mecha designers. It may be in-house, but Eco-K doesn't make enough to be able to fund a massive mecha like this, at least to public knowledge...

in the boss battle one of his passives were 'hellfire of love and hate' /恩讐の劫火 -> gouka...the latter two kanji is a buddhist term which means that dantes' fire itself is a kind of fire that would and could remake the whole world and set it ablaze. -> it is hellfire that is part of 壊劫 (ekou) the third element that embodies destruction itself (that leaves nothing behind) that make up the four kalpa (四劫) aka the formation and disintegration of the world...its a system thats natural to the world...fire can also be considered a natural disaster........okay....he wasn't joking when he says he's the god of revenge and the king of flame itself..........................

New Fanart: In His Shadow

Well, here's what I spent most of my free time this week drawing.

Inspiration of this came from @supernerddaniel's video essay, as well as my continued annoyance that Ekou didn't get any art in the duel boxes. My thought behind it was that they were in some high-stress situation already, Ekou was attempting to do something SUPER-OUTRAGEOUS such as holding hands and Amon snapped at her.

As soon as I finished coloring in that damn cloak, I solemnly vowed to never draw it again.

Finding reference images was a bit difficult; I actually had to go watch the episodes myself and take my own screencaps of Amon from behind like some kind of peasant. LOL Also the situation is so dire with Ekou that MY ART shows up in the Google Image search! Hmm...you know what would've been nice? Some official art, perhaps in a small lightweight rectangular storage container of some sort that has to do with duels??? OK, I'll stop now.

Amon doesn't get a snazzy new outfit like Ekou does and also I was too lazy to draw his face. Ha ha.
