Day 2 Week 1: Barian @zexalmonth
Is it cheating to say that Shark is my favorite Barian? Itâs a pity I donât feature him moreâŚI like to design gothic lolita dresses for him!
This is another part of my Zexal lolita AU. He used to do fashion battles in punk circles until Thomas slipped him a counterfeit pair of boots. Now heâs moved onto gothic lolita in order to earn money for Rioâs new wardrobe (because Thomas burned it all).
More beneath the cut
He models for an independent designer called Ekard Krad đ This coord was specifically designed for him. Itâs called Megalodonâs Funeral. Heâs Heartland Academyâs darling because he has such good style. Everyone knows heâs a bit of a dick but itâs because heâs bitter over the fact that heâs more well known as the Gothic Shark Queen instead of the Shark Punk. One thing that sets him off is when people treat expensive brands cheaply.
Regarding the other BariansâŚ
Rio: Sailor lolita
Mizael: Qi lolita
Gilag: Wa lolita
Durbe: Nun lolita (it gives him a (false) sense of superiority)
Alit: Roman military lolita (Idk if thatâs a real thingâŚjust use your imagination)
Vector: As Shingetsu, heâs sweet lolita. As Vector, heâs fallen angel/demoncore lolita

Shrine of Isis and Osiris
This shrine is dedicated to the two beings responsible for the creation and population of Spokelse Isles.
During the Full Moon celebration, offerings are brought before the Shrine Priestess and Priest to be placed on the couples alter. Feasts are held during this time with lots of seeds, nuts, and eggs. This represents the birth of all new beings.
When Isis is celebrated magick parades are held in the town squares for both entertainment and appreciation. Isis is responsible for blessing all beings with power upon maturity into adulthood. It is also during this celebration that newly matured beings showcase small acts of magick thanking the goddess for her gift.
When Osiris is celebrated everyone practices forgiveness and understanding for those who have harmed them performing rituals to let go of any animosity that lingers. It is during this time that beings reflect on Osirisâ generosity that presented them with this second chance at life.

During the celebration of Daeira a feast is held cooked on a hearth and candles are lit from the fire to burn on the mantal throughout the long night. Â Priestessâs and shrine maidens bless homes and businessâ cleansing them and bringing them prosperity.
Shrine of Grewwt
This shrine is one of the most open with plant life clinging to the walls as if the building was made from plants. Â Often found in the communities of Pod People and Pixies. During the celebration of Grewwt. Everyone gathers to plant various trees and herbs in green houses to be cared for by the community through the winter. Then in the spring they are brought out to be planted in the ground.
Shrine of Bastet
This shrine is often found in Puca communities as they often worship the cat humanoid deity. Offerings are made to ask for help in smoothly transitioning from human to animal. Spirit walks are performed by shaman to guide Puca in what animal to pursue transitioning into next.
During the celebration of Bastet People often perform transitioning acts, create totem poles, and feast in honor of their hybrid deity.
Underground Cult of Seth
Seth is our villain in this world, often trying to destroy Isis and Osirisâ hard work. However, there is those beings that are darker form underground cults aiding Seth in his devious plot to take over the Spokelse Isles.

My new OC for the campaign I get to play in (yes I know itâs all happening I canât quite believe it myself) was part of an acting troupe and I just created all the other troupe members and aaaaaah I love them all so much already! Thereâs Adresin, nb wood elf, quiet soul, but a force on stage. They call them the Tide. Thereâs Ona, middle name âdivaâ, an emerald green Tiefling with a singing voice that carries a perpetual echo. They call her the Song. Thereâs Ekard, a deep gnome with a deep love for jokes and alcohol. They call him the Jitter. Thereâs Faradin, human man, who likes being famous a little too much for his own good. They call him the Flame. Then there are the troupeâs founders, Mirena and Kolrad, known as the Queen and the Rook. Theyâre married and live for the show.Â
And then there is Zeda, known as the Tempest, female air genasi who will pull you in for a kiss while ramming a dagger into your side. We love a high charisma rogue (even one whoâs a bit of a germaphobe). I canât wait for you all to meet her!
#zeda the rogue#new tag for a new oc#this game already feels very special#but more on that once we have actually played a few sessions#dnd

dear ekard,
I stay!

Autobiography I
-wendy
Written as an application for a program in order that I might continue to live and work at the Zen Center.
Zen Center San Francisco
Work Practice Apprenticeship Program Application
1. Your interest in Zen and in participating in the WAP Program at this time. What are your plans for using earned practice period credits?
The support of the Zendo has provided me a leap forward in my Zen practice and mindfulness. Being here for the daily practice, and meditation, as well as the service in the Zendo has provided me a richer understanding and relationship to Zen. I believe having access to the teachers, Darhma talks and other resources while living at the Zen Center has and will grow my knowledge and allow me to move closer to my ultimate goalâto devote my life to become a Zen monk.
I would like to devote time to sitting in a rigorous Monday through Saturday program that includes morning and evening meditation to strengthening both my body and mind as a means to development.
It is my goal to work in the kitchen and practice âDo one thing at a timeâ âDo it slowly and deliberately", and âDo it completelyâ. The kitchen therefore is my first choice at the Zen Center. I feel cooking is one of my greatest joys. Of course, I would be happy to serve in the temple cleaning or in any capacity; however, the kitchen is my first choice. Make cleaning and cooking become meditation. I, also look forward to being trained in serving oryoki meals.
I am very interested in becoming the Work Leaders assistant. I have found that the Work leaderâs duties are so immense he could use an assistant to keep him organized, as well as set protocols and write repetitive tasks and orientation materials for distribution. This would allow the Work leader to focus on the many tasks more to his honor and the Zen Centers needs.
On a side, I would like to spend my practice period credits at Tassajara in the winter sessions.
2. A brief personal history.
I began my internal work and external practice in a yoga class in college. This was in conjunction with a very rigorous program at California State University at Fullertonâs Human Services program under the Director Jerry Cory the author of âTheories and Techniques of Counselingâ and âGroup: Processes and Practicesâ. The program was a Western way of mindfulness and full of Psychoanalyst as instructors. This along with my yoga and meditation resulted in a time of growth beyond my expectations. I graduated with a B.A. in psychology in 1993.
My next deep and powerful experience began when I went to the Dalai Lamaâs 60th birthday party in New York. I met a group of Tibetan who invited me into their family. They were so lovely. I could not get enough of Tibetan Buddhism afterwards. At the Berkeley Buddhist Temple, a particular retreat stands out in my mindâfour days of silence. (In general, I am a very quiet person as you might have witnessed when I first started coming to the Zen Center interim April of 2016. I did not speak to anyone until late May early June.)
After finding yoga and Tibetan Buddhism, I happened onto Intregal Yoga. I had the opportunity to attended Yogaville, Integal Yogaâs ashram in Virginia. This time was extraordinary. I went there a mid-level yoga practitioner; and left a Yogi. I meditated three times a day along with three yoga classes daily. It was fantastic. My day began with 4:00am meditation, and ended with 9:00pm Kirtan. I also worked in the Hospitality department which I just loved. Long days filled with joy and exhaustion. (I was offered a job after only one month which is unheard of.)
My work history includes: Researcher at UCI, Special Education Teacher, Writer for Johnson and Johnson, Ekard, Office, Purple Moon for Xerox Park, and Mattel, Interaction Designer for Stanford Universityâs NetSage (as well as BMW), Organic Farmer for Honakoa Organic Farm in Hawaii, Writing Tutor for College Students, Healer, âSpecial Projectsâ for the United States Government.
Then all that changed when In June of 2014 an accident took away my feet. Injured my back and began the unraveling of my family, my friends, my financial stability. I was hospitalized for over two months. During my hospitalization my husband began planning his exit. He funneled funds out of our joint checking account which held all of my inheritance from my mother. He withdrew the cash by using my credit card while I was still in bed recovering. In the end, he managed to over draw the account, and then shut it down. I was left with no money, no credit cards, and in bed laying there in shock for two weeks. He took my phone, and practically everything out of the house, (including my clothes and shoes.). He left on February 18th 2015, and I have not spoken to him since. It came as a surprise. It has been a lonely time for me, but I have found a great deal of strength in my personal practice, and my church, Grace Cathedral.
I have not been able to pick up where I left off in yoga, and I have had to learn to live simply without extravagance. I believe Zen is right for me for my life. I have recently seen Mark, the Bishop for the Episcopalian Church of California and Grace Cathedral. He is very supportive of my Zen practice, and has agreed that the Zen center is the right place for me to live, work, and study. This all brings me to the here and now.
I began getting up at four in the morning (I had to walk to the Zen Center as there are no buses this early in the morning.) to attend meditation at 5:20am until I arrived here as a Guest Student June 20th 2016. The Zen Center has become a source of support. I could not have imagined. I have been befriended, and taken in as part of a community which I have so needed. I have been accepted and encouraged. I am not always as elegant as I was before the accident, but I am still an athlete with tons of energy and smiles and a readiness to serve others.
(Each of you has played an instrumental part in my healing even in this short time. I do want this healing and supportive environment to continue to be a daily part of my life. It is my desire to live and work here at the Zen Center.)
3. Your experiences studying and or practicing Buddhism or other spiritual traditions (other than at San Francisco Zen Center).
Let me began with the Zen Center. My morning meditation has been a source of peace. It has grown into my Guest Student opportunity, and my integration with the community. I have so much to learn--form, mind, and mediation, but, I have a love of the principles of Zen. I attempt to practice it every moment. Zen, in other words is a lifelong learning and relearning experience. Every minute I am transformed, and learn something new. I deeply honor this experience and look forward to a Residential practice at the Zen Center.
I, also, attend Grace Cathedral on Sundays, and I enjoy the Womenâs Community Meeting held once a month. I have attended Grace since 2005 when I began going to Yoga on the Labyrinth. We were about fourteen people to begin with until Daren Main began teaching; and he has grown the community to over seven hundred. Daren is an amazing teacher, and a good friend. I am so happy for his success, and I will be glad to begin practicing yoga with Daren soon.
My understanding and pursuit of Buddhism, as well as, a more fully expressed meditation practice began when I found Tibetan Buddhism. I attended the Dalai Lamaâs 60th birthday party in New York. A Tibetan family adopted me that night. I was so full of joy; I had to have more. I then attended the conference the Dalai Lama held at UCLA. I bring this joy into everything I do, and I thank all of them every day for it.

I am recovering from bi-lateral foot surgery from June of 2014. Although my feet have healed I am still learning how to move, and my balance is an ongoing process of relearning. Neither of these issues interferes with my performance. I look forward to getting back into yoga as I have just discovered I am able to do the âdownward dogâ pose.
I, also, am recovering from a back injury. It has healed, but I do suffer muscular pain from it. I have found I am able to perform all the tasked the Work Leader has assigned me during my time as a Guest Student without difficulty.
Also, I have enjoyed the opportunity to sit in the Zendo. I am finding props to support my knees so that I may sit on the Tanami mats. I look forward to trying the different chairs until I find the proper position for both my feet and my back.
10. Any other limitations that would prevent you from participating fully in the daily schedule.
None

A DAY IN MY LIFE: KAIN EDITION
So this is the short I wrote for the Victubia theme of January, A day in my life, featuring one of my favorite Ocâs, Kain! Warnings: Adult themes. Violence. Language. ENJOY! ^,,^Â
Vass, the astoundingly beautiful coastal city of Victubia, spotted with multi-colored stone buildings surrounded by crystal seas and lively, vibrant plant life that seamlessly blended nature and architecture. A never-ending summer paradise, open all year round. Tucked away on a backstreet, away from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalks surrounding the beaches, a very special massage parlor was located.
The structure was tacked on to another building, no longer used, grey stone, mingled with white. Lively shrubs lined the corners, pale roses, stark against the green. A driftwood sign hung on thin chains, above the arched door, carved into the shape of an adorable white cat with crystal blue eyes, curled up, a blue ribbon wrapped around its neck. There was absolutely no way of actually identifying the place as a massage parlor, the only words printed under the cat being the name Demetria.
Inside was rather quaint, with a small waiting room, with a white and blue color scheme, elaborately decorated with expertly sculpted Greek statues. Velvet topped benches lined the walls, bowled potted plants hanging above, vines rolling down in curtains. A curved, crafted driftwood counter protected the back massage room. Scented sea breeze candles were spread about, giving off a relaxing beachside scent. Tantalizingly smooth jazz played from some hidden radio, with an underlay of soft waves, wrapping the relaxing atmosphere with a bow.
The owner of the establishment was far from normal, a tall, ghost of a man of pure muscle, handsome with white hair and eyes black as the void. He looked entirely out of place, dressed in a form-fitting white shirt and tan pants. This job was the direct opposite of what he was used to, just waiting for a customer to show up. Standing up perfectly straight behind the counter, he tenderly pet the snow white cat that curled up on the counter, pose matching that of the sign outside. Demetria the cat, purred contently against his fingertips.
A sudden, shrill ding of the bell attached to the front door alerted them to a customer, a rather exasperated, lanky, middle-aged man with a fancy, primp goatee and slick back hair. He wore high-end clothing, marking him as a wealthy individual. Demetria lost interest quickly, instantly returning to her peaceful slumber. The customerâs eyes fell on the hulk of a man, scanning him up and down more than a few times, his brows raising, not hiding his surprise. âGood grief,â he sighed heavily. âI expected a beautiful woman to be running such a place. Especially with the whole cat sign.â He noticed Demetria. âOh, thereâs an actual cat. Peculiar.â Â
âWelcome to Demetria. My name is Kain. How may I help you?â His voice was toneless, expression as stoic as the statues.
The man chuckled, removing his woven hat. âNot very personable.â Looking around, his lip twitched. âYou could have made this place easier to find. Seriously, whose idea was it to place this parlor so far off the beaten path?â He gave Kain no time to respond. âRather fancy for a hole in the wall.â
Kain took no offense at anything he said and just waited for him to answer his earlier question. The customer took the hint and animatedly shrugged. âWell, anyway. I was gifted this slip for a full body massage from the so-called best masseuse in the world by my workers.â Pulling out a long, colorful slip of paper, he took a few steps forward, handing it to Kain. âI donât know why they didnât just send me to the nationally renowned Ekard spas but, hey, what can you do? Iâm not going to turn down anything free. I do hope you live up to the hype. Â They said itâs âTo die for.â
Examining the paper, Kain had never seen such a thing before. In golden, glittering letters, it mentioned a free massage at Demetria and, nothing else. He was going to debate the authenticity of the slip until, his eyes crossed over the tiniest inkling of a spider ever, nestled within the letters, nearly impossible to make out. Such a thing, only he would notice. Understanding what it meant, he accepted it and motioned his large hand to the backroom. âPlease come in, MrâŚâ
âPenningsworth,â he replied with a pompous confidence. âThat should suffice.â
âIf you prefer. Right this way, Mr. Penningsworth.â
Kain lead him to the backroom, holding the swivel door open for him. Stepping inside, Penningsworth observed the single massage room. Here the walls were painted to picture perfection the likeness of the city of Oia, in Greece. Whitewashed and multi-colored, curved topped buildings surrounding them, the opposite wall, illustrating the bluff, reaching down into the clear blue ocean, a line of glitter lining the calm waters. The sky was a wash of warm-hued colors, the setting sun, making its decent, bathing things in a soft glow, sparkles inlaid into the walls to glint and sparkle.
As the centerpiece of the room, there was a long, oak wood, leather-topped, foam covered massage bed, with a plush pillow at its forefront. Colorful bottles of different oils sat neatly on a rolling table next to the bed, glistening under the light from the ceiling. A towel was folded on the bottom shelf of the table. âGood grief,â Penningsworth exclaimed, expression almost contorted in humored incredulousness. âYou really went with the Greek theme huh? Are you Greek or something?â
âNo, sir,â Kain simply responded, taking up his position alongside the bed. âI donât exactly remember where I am from originally.â
Penningsworth scoffed. âMysterious. You, sir, are very strange.â
âIâll take that as a compliment. Please, remove your clothes and assume the position.â
His customer suddenly appeared very uncomfortable, an uncontrollable blush setting on his cheeks. âReally wish you were a woman.â
âMy apologies.â
âCould you turn around please?â Â He demanded more than asked.
âOf course, sir.â Turning his back to him, Kain kept his eyes forward, as Penningsworth begun to undress, mumbling incoherencies. Unfortunately for him, Kain could make all of it out, noting his fragile masculinity, which was rampant in his frantic words.
Once Penningsworth was nude, he lay, back up on the bed, snatching a towel from the table and hastily covering his backside. Almost nervously, he held the pillow under his chin and sighed. âAlright. Iâm ready.â As Kain turned, he quickly added. âBut donât get any ideas. Iâm not into men.â
âYes, sir.â Kain was an impenetrable wall when it came to words, not a single syllable getting to him. âDo you have a preferred oil?â
âSweet almond,â Penningsworth instantly snapped, almost sounding as a gripe.
âGood choice.â Of course, he would choose the most basic of oils, showing just how adventurous he truly was. Taking the bottle, strangely warm in his hands, Kain observed Penningworthâs back. From his first assessment, he could already tell what little effort or strain the man went through in his life.
Gently, Kain drizzled the clear, honey-colored oil in the line down his back, Penningsworth letting out a startled coo. Youâd think he was about to be tortured. Reaching down, Kain smoothed out the oil to cover his back. Finally, he got to work, starting out gentle, massaging around his neck, encasing it in his thick hands.
Taking his time, despite the fact that there was no need, he pressed harder the more he went down, into the shoulders and back. With elaborate, curving movements like the beating of wings, he massaged Penningsworth, changing between his large palms, then streaking through with his fingertips. Penningsworth skin was rather firm, slightly giving under the touch. Using his signature style, he begin to soothe green spirits into his muscles through his hands, healing even the tiniest kinks, only present due to the manâs age, not from actual strain.
Within minutes, Penningsworth opened up to Kain, practically crooning under his touch. âWell sir, you are quite the surprise.â He groaned, pleasurable, as his lower back was rubbed down. âThis is most definitely the best massage I have ever had. Iâll have to be sure to thank those idiots for sending me here.â
âIâm heartened to hear that.â Kain continued.
âNot a man of many words are you?â
âNo, sir.â
âIâm assuming you donât go out much either, despite living in Vass. You are as pale as a linen sheet on a snow-draped plain.â
âI donât tan.â
âClearly. Thatâs quite the skin condition you got there.â Â He chuckled.
âIndeed.â
Mercifully, the conversation ended there, allowing Kain to work in relative silence, save for the ambiance playing over the radio. Penningsworth continued to let out sighs of pure bliss. Finishing up with his feet, Kain moved away. âHere, you can roll over and we can do the front of your body. However, if you do not wish for that, I can work my way back up instead?â
Penningsworth grew silent, clearly wrestling with his own thoughts. Letting out another agitated sigh, he clicked his tongue. âScrew it. Might as well get the entire thing. I can just continue to pretend you are a woman. A very muscular, tall woman.â
âIf it suits you.â
Clenching the towel tightly, he made sure to keep covered as he spun onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. As Kain took up position, Penningsworth closed his eyes to no doubt fantasize that he was a woman. Beginning again, Kain massaged him, aiming to indeed give him the best he had ever received. By the reactions he was getting, he seemed to be doing just that, a bit too much, garnering an unwanted response from Penningsworth, though he just ignored it. Once he finished his abdomen and then pectorals, he moved back up to his neck.
Wrapping both hands around his neck, he kneaded it gently, slowly gripping tighter and tighter until he was throttling him. Penningsworthâs eyes shot open, bloodshot as his masseuse drained the life out of him. His neck encased in a steel trap, he gasped futilely, his face turning a sickly shade of blue, tongue lashing out in all directions. Flailing his arms and legs, he kicked over the rolling table. Glaring at Kain in utter despair, unable to scream, to fight back against the behemoth, he simply chocked. Kainâs rippling muscles locked into place, assuring the manâs demise, the manâs neck like a twig. Then, with a swift jerk, SNAP!
