Hello,Jalebi! During Ek Jason many felt that Arnav and Khushi were not true to their characterizations in the original and that Arnav was somewhat patronizing toward Khushi in his depictions of their life. But during the rewinds several years later his reminiscing about Khushi and their story he seemed to show the self reflection of a happily married man. I never saw the rewinds nor could I find blogs that showed his full dialogues with English captions. Your thoughts on what I surmised?
Hello,
All my thoughts on Ek Jashn can be found here. Rewind is FAR better than Ek Jashn because it progresses further in a healthy and a more believable way than Ek Jashn did (Arnav as a poet is still off, but his reflections were BEAUTIFUL)
Best,
Jalebi

Ye mohabbat srif mohabbat ki hadd tak kyu nahi rehti? Ek junoon aur pagalpan mei kyu tabdeel hone lagti hai. Waqt k saath samundar si gehri hoti jaati hai lekin apne saath ek darr bhi lekar aati hai- jisse mohabbat hai usey khoney ka darr. Ye darr insaan ko andhar hi andhar khaaye jaata hai. Khush nahi rehne deta. Pehle toh jo mila nahi usey paane ki Tamanna, mil jaaye toh kuch waqt ka jashn aur fir usey khone ka darr. Ye uljhan Khatam kyu nahi hoti. Mei kyu bhaagte rahu Iss sawaal k peeche k koi Mera puri tarah hua ya nahi hua? Aur gar hogaya hai toh kya Mera hi Rahega taa umr? Kyu kisiko paa kar bhi mei pura apna nahi bana sakti aur gar vo mere apne ho bhi jaaye toh usey khone k darr se mei kyun pareshaan rehti hoon. Mere bass mei toh nahi hai na wafayein saamne waale ki, bas ek ye dil hai jo ghabrata hai. Bechain rehta hai. Karwatein badalta rehta hai. Sau sawal karta hai. Apno ko khoney se darta hai.

Hello.
I didn't miss the point of your original response & I said "everyone knows" because it's a fact, not because it's my view.Just to be clear, I am not in favor of giving credit to only one character. Be it Khushi or Arnav.
Any show runs if trp is good & trp doesn't come because of the hot male lead or Gul. Gul had said things also during Ipkknd 3 & everyone knows how true that was. And I don't think it's wise to decide who was the drawcard by considering ipkknd ek jashn & rewind.
In my initial question, I just wanted to know that did you mean what I understood or not. A Yes or No would had been fine. And it's good that you cleared that I didn't misunderstand.
You said "This is a show that was cancelled rather than replace the male lead". Then it is also a show where audience (leaving Barun-biased IPKKND fans)protested because female lead wasn't there.
Everyone knows IPKKND ended because AUDIENCE doesn't want to see anyone other than SARUN. If you want to believe otherwise, It's your choice.
"This is a show that felt revolutionary when it was first aired because of the agency of the male lead"- Yes,It was. But Because It was focused on a love story in saas-bahu era.
"When 4Lions and StarPlus decided to recreate IPKKND, they chose Sobti as the male lead and gave him the ASR initials because they genuinely believed it was going to draw audiences"- And we all see how it draw audience. If Barun was drawcard of ipkknd, then why did Ipkknd 3 last for only 70 episodes? You have watched it & if I am not wrong, you have also a separate blog for it. So you must have known.
Barun himself admitted show's name was different. But they changed it because they were trying capitalise IPKKND'S SUCCESS. That's why those ASR initial & copying of every bg music & scenes.
You have set some rules for interacting with anyone and I tried my best to phrase my question following those rules (according to my small range of vocabulary). And you are saying "I am being confrontational under the guise of being polite"? Whereas without those rules I would have asked my question directly, without buttering my words.
Yes, it’s difficult to gauge a person’s tone through text-only interactions. So, let me clear out to you that INITIALLY I was not being aggressive. But still, if you feel like this, then maybe because what i said was against of your opinion. But yes, it's my fault to ask you a question in the first place. I already knew all Ipkknd blog admins are Barun-biased & opinions of all of you are coloured by it. And you yourself proved it by your answer. I should have ignored it.
Sorry that I wasted your precious time.

“Subah Ki Chai: Har Roz Ki Ek Nai Shuruat”
Chammach se chai ki pattiyan uthana, paani mein gholna – yeh ek dhyan aur sukoon bhara rituaal hai, jo har subah mujhe naye din ke liye tayar karta hai.
Woh pehli ghoont chai, jaise ki ek pyaari mulaqat, har roz mere liye kuch khaas laati hai. Us ek pal mein, lagta hai ki har gham bhool gaya hoon, aur ek nayi shuruaat ka jashn manane ka waqt aa gaya hai.
Chai ke sath baithkar, meri soch ek alag duniya mein kho jati hai. Yeh ek samay hai jab main apne sapno aur lakshyon par dhyan kendrit karta hoon, jaise ki subah ka pehla prahar mere liye hi ho.
Subah ki chai ke saath, meri duniya mein ek alag si harmony bas jaati hai. Chai ki garamahat aur thandi hawaein, dono milke ek uttam sangam banate hain, jise mehsoos karna har subah ek anutha anubhav hai.
Subah ki chai mere liye nahi sirf ek rojana samagri hai, balki ek aisa rituaal hai jo meri dincharya ko saundarya aur shanti se bharta hai. Har ek chhoti baat, har ek sip, ek nayi kahani ki shuruaat hai.
Isse kehna mushkil hai ki subah ki chai mere liye kya hai, kyunki isme chhupi hai meri subahon ki sachchai. Har ek chhoti si dastaan, har ek cup mein. Chai ke is safar mein, har roz ek naya anubhav ka intezaar hota hai.

Behind the Music: Javed Ali’s Journey into Bollywood Playback Singing
Javed Ali is a name synonymous with soulful, melodic tunes in Bollywood. Known for his smooth, versatile voice, Ali has made a significant mark in the industry, earning a place alongside India’s finest playback singers. His journey, however, wasn’t one of overnight success. Javed Ali’s evolution in Bollywood reflects hard work, persistence, and a deep love for music. This article explores the career milestones, challenges, and successes that have defined Javed Ali’s journey from a budding artist to an established Bollywood icon.
The Early Years:
Javed Ali was born into a musical family in Delhi. From a young age, he was exposed to the world of Indian classical music through his father, Ustad Hamid Hussain, a well-known qawwali singer. Growing up surrounded by music, Javed developed a keen ear and natural talent for singing. Inspired by both classical and contemporary Indian music, he started training rigorously to improve his vocal skills.
Though his beginnings were humble, Javed’s strong foundation in classical music would prove invaluable in his future career. His training instilled in him not only technical skills but also a profound respect for the art. Unlike many aspiring singers, Javed focused more on honing his craft than rushing for fame, which laid the groundwork for his successful career.
Breaking into Bollywood:
Javed Ali’s entry into Bollywood was not an easy feat. Like many newcomers, he faced his share of struggles and setbacks. His early days involved singing small parts and backup vocals, and he spent years working in relative obscurity. However, Javed’s breakthrough came with the song Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein from the 2007 film Naqaab, composed by Pritam. The song’s popularity skyrocketed, making Javed’s voice a favorite among Bollywood music enthusiasts.
Following this success, Javed was offered another opportunity to work with legendary composer A.R. Rahman on the track Jashn-E-Bahaara from Jodhaa Akbar (2008). This song catapulted Javed Ali into the limelight, showcasing his exceptional ability to convey deep emotions and his impeccable command over melody. Rahman’s mentorship became a turning point, opening doors to major collaborations and bigger projects that would shape the trajectory of his career.
Key Career Milestones and Major Hits:
After Jashn-E-Bahaara, Javed Ali quickly became a prominent name in Bollywood playback singing. One of his most popular songs, Kun Faya Kun from the film Rockstar (2011), showcased his versatility and gave him the opportunity to experiment with Sufi-inspired music. The song, which remains a favorite among fans, captured the spiritual essence of Sufi music while highlighting Javed’s range and ability to convey profound emotion.
Over the years, Javed has delivered several chart-topping hits, including Arziyan from Delhi-6, Nagada Nagada from Jab We Met, Guzarish from Ghajini, and Tum Tak from Raanjhanaa. Each song reflects a different aspect of his vocal capabilities, from high-energy numbers to soul-stirring melodies. Through his work with composers like A.R. Rahman, Pritam, Vishal-Shekhar, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Javed Ali has built a diverse repertoire that resonates with listeners of all ages.
Challenges and Resilience:
Despite his successes, Javed Ali’s career has not been without its challenges. The Bollywood music industry is highly competitive, and sustaining a career requires not only talent but also adaptability. Javed faced moments of doubt and times when he struggled to secure major projects. However, his dedication to his craft and his ability to continuously reinvent himself kept him relevant.
The evolution of the music industry, especially with the advent of digital platforms, also presented new challenges and opportunities. With more singers entering the scene and digital platforms changing how music is consumed, Javed adapted by engaging more directly with his fans and embracing digital media. His presence on platforms like YouTube and social media allowed him to stay connected with his audience, broadening his fan base and maintaining his popularity.
Javed Ali’s Impact on Bollywood Music:
Javed Ali’s impact on Bollywood music is profound. Known for his exceptional versatility, he has the rare ability to adapt his voice to suit various genres, from romantic ballads to Sufi and folk-inspired tracks. His voice adds a unique depth to every song he sings, often becoming the defining element that elevates the music.
Moreover, Javed’s commitment to quality over quantity has set him apart from his peers. Instead of flooding the market with numerous songs, he has been selective, choosing projects that allow him to explore new facets of his voice and challenge his skills. This approach has not only cemented his reputation as a quality artist but also garnered him immense respect within the industry.
Conclusion:
Javed Ali’s evolution in Bollywood exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated artist. From his early years of rigorous training to his breakthrough moments and collaborations with top composers, Javed’s journey is an inspiring story of resilience and passion. His music continues to touch lives, and his influence on Bollywood is unmistakable. As he continues to adapt and grow, Javed Ali’s legacy will likely serve as a guiding light for aspiring singers.
If you’re new to Javed Ali’s music or a longtime fan, take a moment to explore his discography. His voice has the power to transport listeners, offering a soulful experience that is rare in today’s fast-paced music industry. Stream his songs on your favorite platform, and immerse yourself in the evolution of an artist who has shaped the landscape of Bollywood music.

hey JWB it's nura again!
thanks so much for your reply to my previous ask, totally agree with everything you said! im almost done watching the show and while im sad my first-time watch is done, i can't wait to go back and watch my fav moments all over again! like most shows, i feel like this show doesn't feel the same as it did during its peak (which is fine, it happens) so im actually very glad the show ends where it ends before it got any worse and it just becomes heartbreaking to watch smth you love morph into smth else completely.
im wondering if i should watch ek jashn or not bc i haven't heard the best things about it but i also want more of our favs together lol 😅 what do you suggest?
thanks once again!
- nura 💙
Hello Nura <3
Thank you for responding! That is so true - to be honest a good bunch of us are happy that the show ended when it did for the reasons you mentioned.
Oh God, I'd highly recommend you to not watch anything except the last ten minutes of Ek Jashn and the promo of Ek Jashn (that's cute) because it's so visible that this isn't the show.
It's really painfully obvious. It's a continuation of bad writing that was visible from making the suicide funny. Arnav is more Barun and he's really insensitive about multiple things (including Khushi's suicide attempt!) and Khushi is also off... not as off as Arnav but off enough that it feels like a hollow version of the character we love.
I don't blame anyone particularly but it's evident it wasn't made with a fraction of thought the creators went into making IPK. So I'd highly recommend you to not watch it. It's terrible at best.
If anything, watch Arnav's monologues from Rewind. He seems happy, settled and gives us way more closure on certain things in overall eight minutes than what Ek Jashn did in eight episodes.
Best,
JWB

Gantantra Divas Ka Utsav: Anokhi Drishti "Republic Day Wishes in Hindi" par
Bharat mein Gantantra Divas keval ek rashtriya avkash se adhik hai. Yeh woh din hai jab 26th January 1950 ko humare desh ke sanvidhan ko lagu hua tha, aur isi din se har saal, har bhartiya dil garv se bhar jata hai. Har saal, matribhasha - Hindi mein "Republic Day wishes" se lekar bade-bade parade tak, logo ke jazbe ka izhar alag tarike se hota hai. Is lekh mein hum aapko isi jadoo se rubaru karenge, jisne humare desh ke sauhardra ke bhaichare ko ek aur tarike se joda.
Sahityik Jazba: "Republic Day Wishes in Hindi" ka Jadu
Apne samvednaon ka izhar apni matribhasha mein karna ek anokha ehsaas hai. Gantantra Divas par Hindi mein apne pyare bhav vyakt karne wale sandeshon mein ek anupam garmahat hoti hai. Aam taur par, Republic Day wishes in Hindi rashtrabhakti, ekta, aur samvidhaan aur unke nirmataon ke prati samman ke bhavon ko bandhne wale shabdon me bayan hote hai. Yeh sirf shubhkamna hi nahi hai, balki bhavnaon ke dhagon me uljit ek pyara nyayvadi geet hain.
Prerna ke liye Udaharan
Yahan kuch manbhavan "Republic Day Wishes in Hindi" hain jo humare mahan rashtra ke prati prem aur shraddha jagane me madad karenge:
"Sabse uttam desh ke nagrik hone ka garv mehsoos karta hoon, aur is Gantantra Divas par meri yatra mahan Bhartiya banne ki aur badhti hai. Gantantra Divas ki hardik shubhkamnayein."
"Hamein saja hui yeh azadi ki dulhan, hamare sanvidhan ki mahanata ko manane ka avsar deti hai. Bahut-bahut badhai aapko Gantantra Divas ki."
"Amar shaheedon ke balidan ko naman karte hue hum manate hain jayanti is Gantantra Divas ki. Mere paas shabd nahi hain is din ki mahima vyakt karne ke liye. Aap sabhi ko agrim Gantantra Divas ki shubhkamnayein."
Sanskritik Bandhan: Hindi Shubhkamnayein ek Akhadi Bandhan
"Republic Day wishes in Hindi" ka smaroh saal dar saal hota hai, jisse hamare sanskriti ke bhaichare ko ek anokhe tareeke se joda gaya hai. Samman, ekta, aur samvidhaan ke pratibadhataon ki jaankari wale in shubhkamnayein hamari pahchan ka ek aham hissa bante hai.
Bharat me digital aur vishwaasangat roop se bade parivartan aane par bhi, apni bhashaon ke maarmik vyaktiyon ko barkarar rakhna mahatvapurn hai. "Republic Day wishes in Hindi" parosna humari bhashaon ke jeevan rekha ko dubara jaagrit karne wala ek sadharan par gahra kadam hai.
Isliye, iss Gantantra Divas, humare dilon se judi bhasha me pyare sandeshon ke saath bhaarat ki atma ka jashn manate hain. Swadeshi garv aur utsah ke saath, chaliye hum "Republic Day wishes in Hindi" ki anoothi parampara ko nibhate rahe - ek pratha jo uske dharohar aur sanskriti ko pratinidhit karta hai.

Zindagi firdaus, noor-e-khuda har peher thha
Mere yaar ki gali me, mera chhota sa ek ghar thha.
Ghar ki deewaaron pe maine, uska-mera naam likh rakha thha
Qayamaten aisi hui, deewaar mera gir gaya thha.
Daraar-e-deewaar se jaise, shajar foot nikla thha
Gumaan hajar-e-deewar ka, aaj toot bikhra thha.
Wo dariya si machal rahi, main phool banke khil raha
ukhaad mujhko usne apne baag me laga diya
Chand khwaab dekhne, aankhon ne fir shuru kiye,
ki us anaa ki maari ne, khanajar seene pe chala diya
Mere daraar-e-dil se jaise, ek aah koi nikli thhi
Jashn-e-ranjish chaaron ore, wo meri mayyat nikli thhi.
Us qaatil-e-jaan ka fir bhi, aafreen karta hoon
dafn qabr me hoon magar, uska interzaar karta hoon.

Eid e Zehra ki khushi main aur izaafa ho jaaye
Ab Jald se Zahoor e Imam e Zamaa ho jaaye
Hum bhi muskuraaye misle Sajjad, aaj se
Daur e haazir ke Umar ka khatama ho jaaye
Do maah gam e Shah main hum ashk bahate hai
Apni mohabbat ka ye rukh bhi dikhate hai
Aik pal thama gam jo Sayyad e Sajjad ka
Us ek tabassum ka hum Jashn manate hai
Har dushman e Zehra se hai adawat zaruri

Besaakhta hoton se nikal jaati hai lanat hum log tabarrey ka iraada nahi kartey
