You were the new girl in town. That part was obvious.

If weren't for your braided-down kinky hair, brown skin, and clothing apparel, maybe you could have been the 'average' new girl in town.

"(Y/N)! Come help me get these boxes child!" Nanaba called out. You snapped back from your zoned out state and turned your attention to your grandma.She was currently taking boxes into the house. Smiling, you walked away from your slumped position on the cement mailbox and quickly began to tote the heftier boxes.

“You know, you can relax in the house. I can take things from here,” You recommended, wanting to let her rest after hours of manual labor. Nanaba didn’t take it as such.

“I can keep up just fine, now get movin’!” She sassed while shuffling with her own boxes. You chuckled lightly when she started mumbling curses and something along the lines of ‘I’m not that old’.

Together, the two of you finished moving in all of the boxes and by the time you all were done, the sun was beginning to set. You had plopped down on the floor from exhaustion and sighed when you felt the aching pain in your back subside.

As you watched Nanaba sort through the boxes, your thoughts drifted to what she had said earlier.

“Don’t worry, child, we’re gonna do just fine here. I promise!”

You had no doubt that you two were gonna be fine—you had each other and to you that’s all you really needed, but you couldn’t help but have a nagging, unknown fear in the back of your mind. What if people didn’t like you just because of how you looked?

You weren’t naive. You knew Japan was a homogeneous country. You also knew that people had a tendency to hate others for no reason regardless of your personality. Though popularity wasn’t in your category for Top Priorities, being hated wasn’t one of them either.

As you sunk deeper into your thoughts, a heavy box was dropped directly on your stomach. You shot up and grasped at the box, trying to catch your breath. You threw it off and stared at Nanaba who was giving you a look that could cut glass while having a firm hand on her hip.

“What are you doing slouching on the floor? Get up and go eat something!” She said while poking you with her cane. You sighed and got up, sauntering over to the kitchen where Nanaba had miraculously cooked up dinner.

You realized that she had made (F/F) and your mouth instantly began salivating. You could hear Nanaba chuckling at the stove and you immediately took a stool and sat at the island—noting that the table hadn’t been set up yet.

As you enjoyed your dinner, your anxious thoughts slowly began to fade as you grew in excitement of all the new adventures that awaited you. Who knew food was good for the soul?

(Nanaba. Nanaba knew. Don’t underestimate this woman when she cooks.)

How did everyone enjoy this intro?

I wanted to keep it a bit neutral right now and THEN add on meeting the boys or girls. I’ll write some imagines on my own, you know the basics, and if I get asks or comments requesting then I'll write about those. You can ask for smut if you want, but I’ll have to probably section that off as a side-series since the main series kind of follows the start of U.A. and all that good jazz. 

Also, would you like to incorporate your own quirk powers or naturally have a very strong ability that you hide as a quirk but is really something else? I came up with something for the latter and I think people might like it but I’ll wait and see.

Also (again), this is set in the summer of the last year of everyone’s middle school.
